Frites 33- Authentic Belgian Chips in Derby

Wonderful Belgian frites made with real potatoes, and you can really taste the difference. We had our frites straight, with salt and Mayo but there are lots of toppings, sauces and seasonings to choose from if that’s your thing. We enjoyed them so much we walked straight back in and ordered another portion. Great food and wonderful service.

It’s so annoying because we were told that we’ll get paid a week in hand and this is about to be the second month & still no pay. The CEO (Nash) is so rude about the whole situation. WONT ADVICE ANYONE TO WORK THERE.

Chips were undercooked, oily and just plain inedible. Got the order wrong twice! Would never recommend this to anyone. Maybe someone I hated.

Ordered there and they got the first order wrong, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered again, this time my co-worker ordered with me. My order had the wrong meat on it the first time and the second time I got normal fries instead of sweet potato. My co-worker ate a maximum of 4 fries and threw them away which left him paying £6 for a dr pepper. In short, they got my order wrong twice in 30 mins and make only inedible food. What a bunch of ******!

I went to Belgian fries on my lunch and I got some chips with garlic mayo. I tried them and 3/4 of them were undercooked and hard. They also had a stale taste to them. This is ridiculous, especially for £3.50!!!

Smallest, worst built kebab on the planet. Pitta not even cut open, just placed under a small pile of meat and chopped iceberg lettuce. To make things worse the chips were really greasy, the oil tasted dirty and the potatoes tasted of mud. Utter trash.

The portion size was great, with the chips being seasoned well and the sauce in a generous amount that covered the portion . The staff were friendly and helpful. Will be returning.

Being Belgian I had high hopes to satisfy my caving to proper frites. I visited at the start of Feb 2022, and unfortunately I found nothing authentic Belgian about the chips, except maybe from the cone, but to be authentic these should have to be paper rather than cardboard. The chips are skin on fries (not very authentic), overcooked (brown rather than golden yellow), but somehow not crisp at all. The chips are nothing like those you would get at a chip shop in Belgium. The staff are friendly and welcoming though!

Appauling, the pizza was under cooked and spot the chicken and the frites were absolutely dreadful and greasy unedible. BBQ writes state pepperoni and seasoned beef does not state minced beef that they just dolloped on top and 3 pieces if pepperoni disgusting

Popped in on my way back from town. Had the Belgian Frites with Thai Sauce and Cheese. Delicious combination. Looking forward to trying the new products too.

Fantastic chips and great customer service, took my bulk order and prepared quite quickly. Price is great and he was able to do the order with the discount available! Result!

Great chips served with a variety of sauces and mayonaises with toppings aswell. We had a spicy sauce with pieces of beef on top. very nice and hot and fresh
