Use to love this place now not so sure last couple of times food served cold and waiting 20mins also no choice running out of food at 6 o'clock not good

Took a chance on this place as looked appealing. Mistake. Katsu curry burger appeared to be microwaved and lacked flavour for the price. Super bland. Wedges were undercooked. Again perhaps just microwaved not fried as we're soft and soggy. Everything in cardboard boxes should give this place away. Good for coffees or casual drinks/snacks only. Bacon in cooked breakfast undercooked. I get the concept of advertising, but the pictures on the bright video menu look NOTHING like the finished product. Half the ingredients missing so very misleading

Breakfast was disappointing, house bacon toastie lacked cheese which was Unexpected as this is a key property of a ‘toastie’, however, service was excellent and the lovely Jordan and Demi ensured my companions and I understood the logistics of dining at this establishment.

Not a great choice for breakfast at the airport so chose here. Very friendly and efficient service. Had a couple of decent coffees, bacon toastie and porridge. Staff were forever cleaning everywhere, which was good to see. We were going to order a full English breakfast but not sure we’d have enjoyed eating out of a cardboard box.

I use Friska every time I fly to Wroclaw and Sally sling with the team are always bubbly and friendly. The breakfast ( full English) is worth every penny. See you again in either March or July or even both. Great food

Firstly, Sally is just a bundle of joy! She is exactly what you need at 5am! Full of smiles and excellent customer service! She is a credit to you!! Now for the food: We ordered 2 half english (either meat or veggie) which comes with a tea or Americano /Flat white for £5.99!!! If you think a coffee can cost £2.95. The breakfast is small but it’s perfect for a quick pre flight breakfast! The food is served fresh in cardboard boxes/ wooden cutlery and you have to collect it yourself but that didn’t bother us! We’ve visited here before and it’s always fast and easy and for £5.99 you can’t go wrong. I cannot comment on other food as we always get the same but for an airport meal is brilliant value in my eyes. P.s thank you Sally for cutting the label off my dress! Haha

Had a Full English Breakfast with a friend to eat in, it was served in a 8x4 inches cardboard box. (The image on display was shown as served on a plate) It came with full works, but all food was on top of each other. It simply look revolting, we just left half eaten.

Whilst not thrilled by eating out of a cardboard box, I cannot fault the freshly cooked breakfast that even included a complementary hot drink. Compared with most airport prices, the £5.99 we were charged was superb value.

Don’t go if you’re in a hurry. Staff is terribly slow and the food isn’t great either. I can definitely make a better toastie than this.

Can't believe some of the reviews. All English for a tenner and cooked to order. Location: Luton Airport. Any high street cafe will hargeisa about £6-8 for the same with a mug of tea. Taste wise, it's not bad. Everything is crammed into a box. And a small note: if you like your eggs welldone, you need to tell in advance. You can rest your backside and charge your laptops and mobiles etc. Staff are business like and quick.

Remember the film with Michael Douglas? I was Tempted by the photo of the full English breakfast showing a number of cooked vine cherry tomatoes. Breakfast was served in a cardboard box, when I opened it, half of one tiny tomato!! beans were covering the bottom of the box and everything else on top. Hash browns were really soggy. Coffee was great, Never again, really bad choice!

For the 2nd time, I’ve had six a delicious full breakfast at Friska. I am again impressed by how well the eggs were poached, how fresh and well cooked everything is. Don’t be filled by the simple disposable serving container and competitive price, what comes inside is a proper tasty and filling meal. The coffee was great. The staff were also very courteous and efficient. Highly recommend!

Horrible! Awful coffee, bacon and egg was horrendous - old bacon and overcooked egg, all served in cardboard cup and cheap foil with wooden cutlery even when eating in. Second breakfast was poached egg on toast, toast was not fresh and soggy. Poached egg was overcooked again. Regretted our choice to have breakfast there.

The modern ways take a lot of fun out of the travelling, but this place was the perfect kick start to a journey. Generous sized breakfast, good value (for airport prices), but it’s the friendly efficient service that makes it a good choice. The people make a business. This team are a credit and I wish them well.

We ordered 1 full English, one veggie and half English with tea and one hot chocolate totally £31.65. The food came in a brown box. I was very shocked and disappointed to be eating my first meal of the day from a box. I have learnt a lesson today if a restaurant is almost empty don't bother to go in.

Sausage toastie was nice but pancakes tasted like mould. Clearly defrosted not fresh Coffee was standard. Avoid. Much better places In the departure lounge

I regularly use Friska at the airport and the staff all seem like they cant be bothered to serve anyone, ever! Apart from a small Asian lady who wears lovely make-up and nice clothes, she is lovely. The rest of the team especially the manager are all rude. The chef's are the nicest staff and you dont really get to see them which is a shame. Also, the food and drinks are expensive for what they are worth - never taste nice or hot enough! They could really learn great service from Benugo and generally let the rest of the airport down.

I can honestly say this place served up quite possibly the worst bacon sandwich EVER!!! I can’t believe I paid nearly £18 for two lukewarm coffees and two bacon sandwiches; that quite frankly I would be embarrassed to dish up! Actually to call it a sandwich is almost insulting. Save your money and go anywhere else!

6am departure required full English, however the wife wanted a coffee with a syrup and a croissant... wandered through departures and fell upon Friska... not disappointed, price the same as other places on the concourse. The wife described her croissant as very almondy... which was good as it was an almond croissant! My breakfast was a very good sized with nicely cooked poached eggs. Friendly staff which I know at 430am can be hard... recommended!

Stay away! Big disappointment. We just wanted breakfast. We ordered the vegetarian. After paying we waited and than they gave us a paper bag with all ingredients mixed inside.. disgusting! Beens with the egg with the bread with the tomato with the avocado. Its better if they just shove it in your throats..A real disaster for an expensive price

The food here wasn’t exactly terrible. I guess compared with other extremely overpriced airport food this was actually alright and similarly priced.I had a full veggie breakfast. The boiled eggs were very overcooked (ever heard of yolk?) while the tiny amount of beans I had looked like they’d been slowly cooking for hours. The hash brown was stodgy and the avocado seemed to be about a quarter portion. That said all of the food did taste ok. The downside is everything felt cheap despite the cost. Knifes and forks were plastic, food comes in little cardboard boxes and drinks are in cardboard cups. Salt and pepper is in little sachets and milk is left out on the side for you to do your own tea while staff stand around watching. I get that the entire setup allowed you to take your food away but there’s ample space to eat in yet no option to have your food served to you that way. Tea and orange was expensive too so all in for 3 people to have a breakfast with 1 of us having tea and 1 having orange juice was just shy of £30. Not exactly the deal of the century. My colleague later went up for a cup of tea and was given one for free by one of the staff. No idea why but I guess this softened the blow on cost.

My son had food poisoning from an egg and bacon muffin purchased here. He was violently sick just a couple of hours afterwards.

There are about half a dozen of places at Luton Airport where you can eat some warm meal, after passing security and waiting for the announcement of you gate. Friska is one of them and I had my lunch there, however I will try another place if I am on this airport again.I am not sure about the idea of food served in the boxes, as everything looks a bit messy and it is difficult to see what you really got. Fortunately, hamburger was served separately (in another box) but it was one of “the flattest” burger, I have ever had – just a couple of ingredients and everything rather tasteless.I fully realize that you shouldn’t expect much when you are just waiting for you departure but there are some limits, especially as food is not cheap there …

When you get through security at Luton Airport (I daren’t say London Luton as it’s 34 miles from London), you are spoiled for choice of eatery. Well head to Friska if you want feel good food. A bowl of porridge with fruit compote for £3.10 or half a Full English (only one egg, one sausage but still plenty of bacon) for £7.95The system has been well thought out. Choose from the menu. Order and pay for your food & drink. Collect your drinks and when your vibrating disc buzzes and lights up, collect your freshly cooked food order! Simples!Here there are two special waitresses (yes, I know you thought it was a fast food outfit - it is!) Umara or Umi to her friends, and Sarah. Nothing is too much trouble for these delightful ladies. Today it was Umi who offered to cut up my wife’s banana for her porridge, made sure my poached egg would have a runny yoke and that our coffees (cappuccino) were exactly to our liking, all with a huge smile, a genuine caring disposition and a sense of humour! What a way to start your day, let alone your holiday? Thank you, Umi you are something of a rarity these days. A real treasure. We were even asked if we would like a top up when she cleared and cleaned our table! We’ll be back and we heard others equally impressed! A real feel good experience!

Veg brekkie wasn't half bad (though in a cardboard box) and quite decent coffee. Horrendous communal seating. Went there without reading the reviews but it was a solid 3 for me.

Two words... run away. Half english served in cardboard box like pot noodles (imagine toast and bacon soaked with baked beans), plastic cutlery, cold coffee (ordered hot) and still charging same as other decent cafes in departure lounge.

Great service from a young lady behind the counter,delivered our breakfast instead of us having to collect it. She was very welcoming, and a nice change from other shopping outlets at the airport. Breakfast at £10,reasonable value,but the quality was up and down.

Had a burger menu, was helped by underinterested staff, not really making up to the motto that the team will genuinely make you feel good. The same goes for the delicious food.... Burger was as dry a it could be, kept in an oven for hours I assume. The wedges were tasting like cardboard, not cripsy at all, probably they were laying next to the burger in the oven. Bottom line, overpriced food compared to quality and customer experience. Next time I will choose the Burger King before security over Friska.

Had a Latte overfilled, could not put sugar in it without spilling, asked the bartender lady to sort it out, instead of helping me, she asked me ‘what do you want me to do with it?’ and then threw me another cup to pour it in if im not happy... very rude , not recommended

A hearty and substantial breakfast, speedily served and was totally delicious. Unexpected and perhaps a bit dear, but nevertheless a good experience. Great black coffee too.

Staying around Luton Airport waiting for a plane and trying to find something to eat being gluten free can be very difficult, but the wonderful people at friska help me out immensely, especially Sally so I would like to thank all the staff for the wonderful food and great service.

horrible hygiene - had dirt in my lettuce that would stay in your teeth for next hours...!! Also, could only order burger, as they only served burger despite so many other options on the menu!

I asked to have a sausage & bacon muffin, lady who served me was nice and proceeded to do battle with the till to accommodate the request..swapping one thing for another shouldn't be so hard.. it was by far the WORST food I have ever experienced, anywhere. the bacon (if you can call it that) we was worse than what you would get on the plane and the sausages were equally vile. Asda value is far superior. With a Coke zero (the best part of the breakfast) and coming in at around £10 I feel like I have been ripped off massively. If you are going to charge them prices you need to supply quality ingredients. Never again.

Best food and best customer service in Luton Aiport. I often travel through Luton and have eaten in the various places, but I’ll go back to Friska! We walked in and it was quiet, so figured we’d get a chance to sit for a while. A young boy was telling a staff member (who I now know was Sally) that whatever he had ordered really was spicy and her response was so lovely. Since I enjoy spicy food I asked what it was and she proceeded to give me multiple suggestions to what I might like and the food was amazing. Prices are in line with the other restaurants, but value for money is better than the others. I would highly recommend, and if you have the pleasure of being served by Sally, then you will definitely leave with a full stomach and a smile.

Friendly staff, Sally was a star. Unfortunately the kitchen mixed up my order and gave me the wrong burrito but it was quickly fixed. Dirty chicken burger was excellent and meat chilli spicy and delicious. Well worth a visit.

If you want some quick hot food before your flight, you can do a lot worse than Friska - I got the Chicken Katsu Burger which was really very sizable and tasty, however the wedges are undercooked which is a bit disappointing - decent spot though, as mentioned the burger was great!

The presentation of the food was appalling, the portions are too small for what you pay for and there is non pork version of English breakfast. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all for people with a big appetite for breakfast.

Went on Tuesday 17th Sep and bought a croissant which was supposed to be around £2. Checked my bank balance today and it costed almost £8 - could've bought an entire meal with that money! Unbelievable!

Usually avoid airport food at all costs but our flight time and the distance we were staying from the aiport forced us to need to eat. However we were pleasantly surprised by the food and service at Friska. We both had the spicy wedges with chilli, I had cheese on top and my partner didn't. We had hardly sat down when it was ready. Had fizzy water to drink but pleased that the cups were paper rather than plastic and a donation for each bottle purchased goes to charity. Also the food was served in cardboard containers which is better than plastic but maybe if people are eating in they could use proper china plates and wash and re use them. The cutlery is wooden but again maybe re usable stainless steel ones would be even better. Full marks for the effort though. Slightly expensive but on a par with other outlets at the airport.

Had lunch here before our flight. Service with a smile, nothing too much trouble, the Manager, was very accommodating with off menu requests and looked after us. Food quite tasty though portions a little on the small side. Overall a good lunch

The Buttermilk Chicken Burger cost £8.50 and it was absolutely awful. It’s the worst burger I’ve ever had. Basically it’s a dry bun, and a dry piece of chicken breast (without breadcrumbs) with a tomato put on top, 1 thin sliver of onion and some sauce. There are no grills or deep fat fryers in the kitchen. Everything is heated up in ovens. Avoid at all costs

Ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork Burrito. Very nice, ingredients tasted fresh. Friendly staff and quick service. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast I had the bacon and avo toastie. The bread is supposed to be sour dough, it wasn’t and the bacon was limp looked raw and fatty. The tomato was cold. Threw up in the toilets after.... avoid!

I order Burito meal with coleslaw . Food was so spice that me who like spice couldnt eat . Coleslaw it was thick shred red cabbage not teste like coleslaw . I will never visit FRISKA again

We had breakfast here whilst waiting for the flight back to Cork. Great service,friendly staff and a lovely manager.(thank you for bringing us our drinks)Good food, excellent coffee. Best of all was the lovely relaxed atmosphere as there was no music blaring which is too common in too many places!

We visited the restaurant briefly whilst waiting to our flight to Italy for our summer holiday. Unfortunately we got off a bad start when we forgot our son's suitcase at the restaurant and only realised it as we were about to board the plane. Unfortunately there was no time to go back for it or we would have missed out flight. It contained his iPad and his beloved hand puppets, school books and various toys. He was pretty sad about it understandably. On the plane whilst waiting for our flight to take off I left a few answer phone messages with the Friska HQs but I had little hope anyone would get back to me. How wrong was I! The following day the manager of the Luton branch actually rang me back and said he would get to the bottom of it and even offered to review CCTV footage to help. The following day I received a phone call from him confirming the suitcase had been found and handed into lost property. I know this is technically not a review about their food but I must say the manager really went the extra mile to help us and this is a bit of rare thing these days. Thank you again!!!

We stopped for a quick meal whilst in the airport. The image is nice fast food, but there was 20 minute wait, although the lady serving did tell us this when we ordered and the food was delivered in this time. It seemed expensive, for a burger, 2 burritos and a wrap plus 4 drinks it was £40. This wouldn’t have been too bad if the food had been great, however it was terrible. The vegetarian burrito was 96% filled with bland rice, the katsu chicken unpleasant as was the halloumi wrap. We didn’t eat the food and had to stop at Pret on the way to the plane. Avoid and pick somewhere else.

Food was really disappointed! I had eggs topped with chorizo. This is the worst breakfast I ever had. Coffee tasty really bad too. Definitely will never back here again.

Simply awful. If you are desperate for food, get a sandwich from Boots or pack of crisps. Potato wedges were like 2 weeks old, cold and terrible. Salad, sause - someone had this before me. Never again I even look towards Friska.

By 7pm on a Thursday all meat and most other options were sold out so you had a choice of halloumi wrap or bean burrito. I opted for the bean burrito and after a half an hour wait I collected my 'bean' burrito which had approximately 7 beans and the rest was completely flavourless rice. Would have been upset if I'd paid a pound let alone 6.50.

Worst food I've had in some time. Utterly dry chicken almost no salt and awful combination of spices. I still feel a little sick afterwards.

Went for a family breakfast in the Luton airport location. After 15 min it appeared the food order never went through which was very disappointing, especially for hungry young kids. We were in a hurry so had to go.

Bad beyond belief. Save your tastebuds and avoid. I'm not super fussy but this was almost inedible. The staff looked demoralised - I think they probably felt embarrassed to be serving such muck.

This place is an ok stop for some brekkie however they only use plastic cutlery; throw away containers and they do not recycle. It’s really disappointing given the state of our planet and how much the UK is trying to cut down on plastic consumption.

Such tasty, fresh food. Service was great and food came out hot and quick. Very relaxed warm atmosphere. Seats on the benches were very comfortable.

I had a bad expereince on my last visit so felt it was only fair to post about a more positive experience. This time I had the BBQ pulled pork burrito. It was delicious. Packed full of pork, beans and jalepenos.

Full English was quite tasty but eating out of a cardboard box is not easy or conducive to a pleasant experience. Had to take mine back to get the eggs added that had been forgotten. I understand the need for sustainable usage of materials but feel this is a token gesture. Wasn't over impressed to be told that I had to buy still water. When did it stop being provided for free [thought this was a legal requirement]. Will try another option next time.

Was absolutely great. Loved my food, and great customer service. Jack, in particular, was amazing!!! Also quiet for an airport, so was real pleasure to be able to wait comfortably whilst charging my phone at the same time.

Its always a risk eating at airports and also expensive. However we were greeted in friendly style and served quickly. We tried a variety - bacon roll, egg muffin and porridge. All reasonable portions, served hot and freshly cooked with good tea and coffee.

Just spent £9.50 on a tea, water and a “bacon” toastie. “Toast” was soggy bread and bacon was like eating the bark from a burnt tree. How could you get a bacon toastie so wrong. Read the other reviews and avoid.

I ordered a chilli chicken hotbox (it was halal but it wasn't chilli) which was fresh, filling and tasty. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Would go again! Only downside was online the prices were around £5.50 but at the restaurant they were around £8.50

A nice place to charge your phones and people watch while waiting for your departure. For £11 plus , the food is very below average. Next time, will buy a coffee and nothing else. The staff are very polite though.

I placed my order for the buttermilk chicken hotbox. 30 minutes later I asked where it was because my pager/buzzer hadn’t gone yet, only to be handed my meal which had been sat on the side for god knows how long.
