Really nice coffee. Yummy sandwiches. Coolest coffee mugs made from recycled coffee grounds. Will definitely be returning.

This scandi inspired coffee shop has the best coffee fix and happens to be the smallest shop in Bath! If you are in Bath you should visit.. service with a smile and they have delicious options of “smorrebrod” for brunch/lunch as well as cakes.. I went for brunch and it was the best! (excellent vegan options and plant based milk)😀happy customer!

What a find! Really tasty food and great quality coffee. From hot stews to skandi inspired open sandwiches. Friendly service and a very cool chilled environment. What more could you want.

What a fabulous little cafe, a hidden gem in a big city! Becky is a wonderful host and the open sandwiches are gorgeous! They are also dog friendly which made our day. Highly recommend

This is a cracking little coffee shop selling wonderful, distinctively delicious coffee (a difficult feat these days) and seriously tasty sandwiches, beautifully made, which actually do tingle your tastebuds. If you believe that the best things come in small packages, you won't be disappointed with Friends Are Electric. Run by a welcoming, friendly couple and with an honest eco philosophy, it has wide appeal and would be my lunch haunt of choice if I was fortunate enough to live in this lovely part of the world. Who knew a beetroot, creme fraiche and apple sandwich on lightly toasted artisan bread could be so utterly moreish? It's a shame they can't send them in the post!

I stumbled across this gem whilst looking for a place to grab a lunch in Bath, the coffee was great, served in a cup made from recycled coffee grounds (amazing). I had an amazing Waldorf salad open sandwich on rye, super super tasty and filling and my friend had the stew with sour dough bread, I had tried it and this was amazing too. The interior was also beautiful, and everything was super clean! Great service too, and the staff were happy to explain on the dishes to me.

So..I'm in Bath enjoying the architecture as, you do, following the tourist route looking for some unique watering hole for a cup of tea and a sneaky cake. Lots of samey coffee shops en route but just slightly off track, found this unique (just what I was looking for) bijou gem, run by what I found out to be a passionately dedicated young couple. Selling anything but regular fare while considering sustainability and eco issues, the range of open sandwiches and daily speciality hot food was just up my street. I'm unfortunatly not a coffee drinker but I hear that they are well known locally for their blend. I'm a tea drinker and was very impressed by their artisan tea and lovely range of beautiful cakes. If you like run of the mill then stay on the high street tourist track. If you want a unique friendly personable experience then go try 'Friends are Electric'. I don't think you'll be disappointed..I certainly wasn't.

Gary Numan wasn't in. It's a tiny place and I'm sure I would have noticed. I suspect that they do more business with people getting takeaway. There is one table and four barstools by the window Decent espresso. Smiley lady brought it over. She also warned me about the cup and saucer. It's made from recycled coffee grounds! So it's very light. Apparently dishwasher safe! Free electric for my mobile phone which is nice

Lovely small intimate restaurant . Gorgeous decor and and subtle lighting. This is the second time we have eaten at Eight and both times the food was exquisite, beautifully presented and delicious. The staff are quietly efficient and attentive. We visit Bath often and Can’t wait to visit Eight again.

Paid a £50 deposit on 6th March, to take my partner for an anniversary dinner on 28th, only to be advised via an email sent on 13th March that the restaurant will be temporarily closed. Having requested a refund several times, and lack of response or refund I am going to have to report to my bank for fraudulent activity. I have just seen multiple reviews and it appears I am not the only one. Terrible. Will also be advising the Michelin Guide to ask for this business to be removed from their listing.

Its very noisy but a ridiculously loud waiter crashing and bashing every cup, sourcer and piece of cutlery he touched drove me out. Take ear defenders.

Lovely place. The food is great. Wife had a pie and I had a sandwich. The drink choice is brilliant as well with loads of local ales available. On top of that, I was stupid enough to lose my wedding ring down the back of the seating. Mickey, the owner came and took my details and organised for the seats to be removed (by the handyman) the next day to get my ring back. He called almost straight away the next morning with the good news they found my ring and confirmed my details to send this on. Thank you very much!!
