Been going here for years, unfortunately I see the fish has shrunk and price has gone up. Asked for Cod and Chips £9. Opened at home I thought they must have given me a extra large fish finger.

Easy to order and arrived promptly. Fish was delicious and loads of chips.

I didn’t realise that finding a decent jacket potato was so hard. My Order was ready and packed within 7 minutes of me clicking confirm. It arrived piping hot & was wrapped and packaged really neatly. The best bit is that they put the cheese on top, which meant that it was perfectly melted and kept the beans in place rather than all over the bag. Had been craving a jacket potato for a few days and this absolutely hit the spot. Thanks!

Recieved the smallest, driest battered sausage know to man. Curry sauce tasted like it was watered down, considering people love curry sauce with their chips, to recieve that was astonishing. Gherkin was so small. Chips were OK, nothing special. Won't be ordering again anytime soon.

First time using this shop and most things were good, the chips were bitty, like the leftovers in the pack but still nice, fish was good and the saveloys the same. But... what was going on with the curry sauce, was so bad that I spat it out, complaints from all the family, not sure if they make it themselves but it tasted of pure cornflour, absolutely disgusting. Kinda ruined the whole dinner as that is what the children love with their chips. Will not be visiting again.

We have ordered from you before and it has been lovely but this time I'm afraid the fish was dripping in oil and had no flavour, and the food was almost cold by the time it arrived.

Since we’ve found Friars we won’t go anywhere else for our chippy teas! Always arrives piping hot, tastes great and they’ll always give the perfect amount of salt and vinegar (and give more if you ask)! ❤️

First time here, always walk past this place but I’m so glad I stopped here to see what the hype was all about. Chips taste amazing, fresh, crispy. Portion size is generous and a bargain. Most importantly the customer service with the gentleman running the till is outstanding!

I didn't enjoy the pea fritter. would have enjoyed a pot of mushy peas instead. Sauces such as tartar would have been a nice addition. fish nicely cooked. The chips were not very good. Delivery driver was very pleasant.

Great fish and chips. However my mushy peas were like soup and so salty I might have died if I ate them! It might have been a one off mistake, but you need to tighten up here folks. I'm generously only knocking off one star though ;-D Update: went back a second time and the mushy peas were top notch. So adding a star!

Not great I waited half an hour for this place to open, and they had already refried the cod probably from earlier on in the day. Completely inedible. The chips were lovely.

The only fish and chip we use, never had a bad meal

Poor quality sausage and the batter was greasy which most probably means that it qas fried in old oil. The sausage meat was really poor grade and to the point where I couldn't finish the sausage due to the poor quality. Its a shame as this used to be a really nice chip shop.

My fish and chips were cooked in old oil making everything extra greasy. Too much batter on the fish making the meal look uninviting.Feeling sick

Ordered a large chips which turned out to be the size of a pillow, not that I'm complaining. Food still hot after driving 10 minutes home.

Was over charged I payed £8.30 for a portion of chips and savloy looked on the website should have only been £3.70

My neice went today (friday 13th aug) had £10.00 pocket money asked for savaloy and small chips, got charged £8.70!! She has mild autisum and didnt question this, came back with £1.30 change! We checked this food on the website, £3.70!! Friars chip shop should be careful who they employ, and i guarantee they will deny this as i wanted to go straight down to them but was stopped! So angry!!

Food is lovely and cooked fresh but I have had forgotten mushy peas a couple of times.

I haven't purchased from this business yet. I fully intend to when Covid travel restrictions are lifted sufficiently for my wife and I to visit our Son, who lives in MK.

Very good fish and chips. It appears to be cooked fresh to order which means a little bit of waiting time, but excellent fish. Like many fish and chips shops they were a bit tight on the vinager even though I asked for loads - not a major problem if taking home, but a little disappointing if eating outside walking home etc. The only reason it's 4 star and not 5 star is that's its a little bit too expensive for in my opinion for the Wolverton area. Although I'd still come back for more. Just perhaps not that often as I cannot justify the cost too often.
