Excellent veggie breakfast wrap, fast, fresh, efficient. Friendly server, food was well prepared. Very pleased.

The microwave operative destroyed the mushy peas, the curry sauce was watery, the chips were cold and the tail end of a fish frazzled with no batter! Training the staff might help.

Disgusting. Food microwaved and dried out. Made me feel very unwell later on in the day.

AVOID!!!! Without a doubt the worst breakfast I've had in a services!! Ordered 2 full English with toast, firstly only got charged for 1 full English and 2 cans. So then paid for the second separately, not a problem. Order came, when I asked where the toast was, she "forgot to order the toast, it wasn't even busy, she didn't seem to know what she was doing. So sat down to eat our food, beans were luke warm, egg was so covered in cooking oil it was inedible! Bacon was smoked bacon, I didn't notice if it was advertised as smoked bacon on the board, but I really dislike smoked bacon so was not able to eat it and gave it my daughter. The only saving grace was the sausages, they were nice. Was also a bit concerned to see that one of the people preparing the food had either fake nails or acrylics, blue with a white tip. Food hygene standards state no nail varnish or false nails can be worn while preparing food

Fresh food is a joke it’s either frozen or fried On the menu board it advertises cod and chips with mushy pea's, peas served in a pot microwave from frozen and the cod isn’t cod, as I returned to the counter with my meal and explained this isn’t cod he replied we do have cod ah hello your menu and recipe says you do the place is a joke and the facilities isn’t cleaned regularly

Sausage baps were ok sister ordered poridge supposed to come with banana and honey had neither also cappuccino was 99% milk.

Very very slow service, the staff don't seem to care.

Food was stale and cold. Don't know why it's advertised as fresh.

We have used Taunton Deane Southbound service station annually for the last 22 years on our Easter journey from Coventry to St Ives, Cornwall. It is a perfect halfway point for us to get breakfast around 7.00 am. Up until this year, we have been very happy and have enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast and other fare offered by your Fresh Food Cafe. However, this year was very disappointing indeed. (8.4.23) The vegetarian breakfast was horrid. The vegetarian bacon was rock hard and the sausages dried out. They were not freshly cooked. I suspect that they had been held back from the previous day, given that we must have been one of the very first customers of the morning. The other items on the plate were acceptable, although not very warm. The toast we ordered too, was cold and dry. The only really nice item was the mug of tea. Serving up such horrid food has really put us off using Taunton Deane, Southbound next year. I did speak to the assistant behind the counter about the meal. We didn't have time to demand a replacement breakfast or go through the hassle of a refund, because we had a long journey ahead of us. However, the assistant was lovely, very polite, welcoming and apologetic. She promised to pass our concerns onto the chef. Given her response, we will try again next year, but meanwhile will be warning fellow travellers to be wary. Please speak to the chef on-duty that day. They should know that cutting costs by reheating old food is NOT acceptable!

Sadly one of the most disappointing vegi breakfast I've ever had. Mushroom and sausage was barely warmed and certainly not cooked. The fake bacon was more chewy than my old shoes. Hash browns and baked beans fine.

Ordered a sausage bagel - given the wrong order that was still ice cold. Hadn't been warmed up from the fridge. Terrible and overpriced.

Food was cold and microwaved. Only half the order was done. Nothing was freshly prepared.

Had the £6.99 breakfast not like the picture on the board was not impressed 1over cooked sausage 1 bacon 1 egg ok 1/4 of a mushroom 1 hash brown and a small spoonful of beans we were the only people there so they can't use being busy as an excuse.

Nice fresh food, variety of options.

First class breakfast £12 really good value as you get 4 pieces of toast 2 sausages 2 bacon beans mushrooms 2 hash browns 2 eggs and a large hot drink. Great value and very tasty 👍🏻

Cornish Kitchen sells pasties, sausage rolls, pastries, cakes and drinks. Reasonable food with standard pasties rather than exceptional. Picnic benches outside are ok if the weather is nice.

Fairly good breakfast for a motorway services, didn't have to wait that long either and the price of £12 was good considering the breakfast, latte and 4 pieces of toast, compared with Costa which would charge the same for a toasty, bit of cake and a latte. Would use again

Normal rip off breakfast. Really small and had to may extra for toast Vegetarian sausages not cooked properly. Avoid!

Absolutely disgraceful place. Asked if a salad was Gluten and dairy free and was told they have no idea even though they were standing below as sign saying please ask about allergies. Was told the chef didn’t know and there was no manager. Then asked if they had Jacket potatoes ready and was told yes so ordered. 5 min later was told they would be 30 min as not ready. Staff have absolutely no idea. The positive point is that they are happy to admit they have no idea.

I ordered a full English breakfast for £8. The food quality was very poor and clearly cheap. The mushrooms tasted of fish shop oil (unrecognizable as a mushroom). And the service was poor - forgot our drinks and clearly not enough staff as the cashier was also the chef.

Bad service, wouldn't hurt to have a smile. Food was cold, portions were feeble and bad quality. It may be fresh but doesn't mean it's good.

Fresh? I think not. I ordered the Breakfast Brunch. The chips and egg were fresh enough but the sausage, bacon, mushroom and beans had obviously been kept warm for many hours, if not days. The sausage had formed a hard shell which made it uneatable. The bacon was like a piece of cardboard. The beans had been stewing for so long they were starting to break down into a mush. These are cheap ingredients - throw them away after two hours.

Food was okay, however quantity was very less compared to what has been advertised.

Waited for 30 minutes for 2 breakfasts only to find out they hadn't been done!
