Not clear at all out of Date things not much in stock a lot of empty shelves today

New bright lights installed that actually feel almost illegal. Everytime I go instore they cause headaches and sometimes the feeling of not being able to concentrate. I can’t imagine what impact this is having on the staff.

Very good store. Loads of choice, excellent range of clothes and clothing . Opthalmologist onsite. Asian street food, pizza counter hot food counter. Baby department, pharmacy. Bakery frozen section fresh vegetables department, disabled parking parent and child parking toilets baby changing and disabled toilet oh and money changing counter and a McDonald's for those that need their daily intake of "food type products"

Busy Friday evening. No tills open, massive queue for self checkout and staff laughing and joking standing around in isles not working. Slogan "get the asda price feeling" I think is aimed at the board of directors saving on staff not customers. If you want me to do your job then at least offer me a discount.

Big Asda. Lots of parking spaces. Clean store, helpful and polite staff.

I can't believe that after asking 6 members of staff, not 1 knew what a nut roast was or if they stock it!

Usually always have a good experience. Only a couple things I can think of that are bad. One is that there’s a couple of members of staff that are quite rude. When you’re in a customer services based career, it’s really important with speaking to the customer in a friendly approachable way. The first was a lady giving me my online George parcel. My name was shouted at me with other customers all leaving the store which then stopped an stared at me which was quite embarrassing. This lady then chucked my parcel at me as (seemingly) they didn’t want to get out from behind the customer service desk. Didn’t say another word to me. I even said thank you. The other was a man at the self service tills. I was about to pay for my own items, but unfortunately I hadn’t realised that my bills had taken some money out. So I was unable to pay for my shopping. So I pressed the ‘assistance’ button and he asked “what”. So I obviously stated I wasn’t able to pay for my shopping which was met by a heavy sigh and lots of banging the till display harshly in order to cancel my transaction. Keep in mind that I was already going to put my items back as I feel bad for members of staff having to put them back for me. He then grabs my things and practically forced them into my chest and said “go put them back now”. Just really unfriendly and made me uncomfortable on both occasions. However like I said at the beginning, only a couple. I’ve had many great experiences with the staff being helpful. I have a child so many times they’ve helped me grab a basket or a trolley, picking up my child’s toys if I haven’t realised that she’s dropped them. Helping me find products etc. Overall a good experience with this store.

Rude, rude, rude!! Just shopped now using scan and go. When arrived there was a promotion for some Easter eggs saying max 6 per customer...I purchased 4. When went to pay it wouldn't let me. Lady on scan and go didn't notice myself and another lady waiting because she was busy chatting with someone else she helped, after she had already sorted them out. Eventually came over and tells me I have too many eggs. I have to take them and do them in separate transactions.. I started to say 'but the sign says'. She cuts me off with quite a forceful tone proceeds to tell me she doesn't care what the sign says. I will have to go and get more eggs and oat for 6 in separate transactions. She actually told me to take 3. Go out and back in and get 3 more then come back any pay for them. The sign doesn't say this at all!! So I sad to her the sign states 6 per customer... nothing about paying separately. She again stated she doesn't care what the sign says...and when I tried to speak with her she was deliberately repeating this to stop me from talking with her. So in the end I told her to just take them all off.. she then started being extremely rude and looking at other customers to make out I was just being difficult, saying yeah yeah alright. Now remember why I started shopping at Sainsbury's..

Yea the store is great. Its until you want to PAY the problem is. Six staff wondering around laughing with headsets on and just two checkouts open with the poor ladies under pressure. Elderly in long q. I was in the q for 10 mjns again today. I approached a happy to help lady to be told she will pass it on.

Just visited this store on our way home from holiday thought we would have some lunch there, only to find out the cafe has gone and replaced by McDonald's. Which is not for everyone we wanted a.nicemeal and coffee in a cup There's the government saying stop eating fast food to stop obesity and you selling it. Very disappointed 😔. won't be using you again.

Good range of products with reasonable price. Some staffs are really nice. Specially thethere’s a girl mostly on night shifts who does the quantity thing for us. She is such a friendly person.

Has gone massively downhill! On a weekday evening, you are lucky even to find one staffed till open. Try to avoid the toilets - they are disgustingly filthy.

They could do sorting out the scan and go system far too few available many not charged. The last 6 visits, none were available! Thank you to Sally, who saved the day on the till, brilliant member of the team!

Today I visited the Taunton Asda store and among other items I purchased a box of Flarin pain relief capsules. When I got home in Bridgwater I discovered that the box was empty. I immediately telephoned the store and spoke to Mary and explained the situation and my concerns about being believed. I asked if I could get the replacement in the Bridgwater store. Mary said this would be ok and not to worry. I was impressed and very relieved when I visited the customer services desk in Asda Bridgwater because Mary had telephoned ahead of my visit and explained what had happened. Thank you for a very quick and easy replacement. Thank you Mary

For the last few months, I have been cutting short my shopping from this store considerably. You know why? Because, 3 times I bought something fro here and it was of poor quality. First, 1 kg of potatoes which became rotten pretty soon. Then, a box of plum and then a box of strawberries, both of them were very sour and unripe even leaving them in the kitchen for a week. Pure wastage of my money. Bye bye

Poorly managed tills. Long wait for only one open till at 6pm on week day. Please consider that some people still prefer the traditional way of scanning and paying for their products.

My son went to the Asda store in Taunton to buy groceries. This included a bottle of wine. When he was at the self service till the shop assistant would not let him buy the wine, she said even though he is over 25 (and had ID)she cannot sell him the wine because he had his younger sister with him who is 16 This is ridiculous my son is a teacher married with his own children and he is 27 next month how absurd is this rule. My son then went to Sainsbury's to get the wine and had no issue at all. I have been in store many times with my daughter and picked up alcohol but I had no issues.Just because I look older doesn't mean I won't give the alcohol to my daughter it's the same thing. He was just discriminated because he is younger.

I love shopping at Asda it’s amazing I love it

Been down this morning for my flu jab which I had booked in weeks ago with a free voucher from work. Only to find out I should of printed the voucher and bought it with me even though there was no information to this effect. I had filled in all my details on the appointment form and my employer and voucher number apparently this wasn't enough. I rode over a 10 mile round trip for nothing only to be spoken down to by the gentleman doing the injections he was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard and couldn't care less about my situation and was quite frankly rude. I will never use Asda again

Value for money, hate the loud music

Very bad service for money exchange. Or money received. We drove 58 munits to collect the money via RIA . and the tablet for signature. not working for over mouth. No support no helps. I won't recommended to anyone who would ask for money exchange. Really bad . Thanks and hope they get things improved. As there people who are in emergency. Who cares.

A decent supermarket with helpful staff and a wide range of products. Up to date systems and toilets available, as well as a cafe.

Good shopping experience good prices

Charley one of the young men on the shop floor was extremely helpful to me. I explained that it was my first time I'm store and I was partially sighted. Not only did charley help me but assisted me in finding the products I needed. Totally amazing service provided by him. His workplace and family should be so proud of him. Hopefully they operate an employee reward scheme and he gets some recognition for his hard work. Above and beyond Charley goes . Thank you Charley you ate amazing

Third time been to this store and third time the pizza counter is unavailable

One of my favourite supermarkets around, there’s plenty of products to choose from and all quality, the prices are good. There’s from clothes to home decor, kids and baby toys and all types of food products.

Always busy. They are moving everything around so difficult to find things. I'm sure this will improve. Not enough parent and child parking. Online shoppers are ok but some of the substitutes are a bit silly. Generally quite a good selection.

Poor service waited a long time , fries were worst than the ones from under my car seat from last year or perhaps they had my car keys , missing part of my order which had to be re-ordered via the till . So completely missed the order.

Just a normal asda friendly staff had all we wanted reasonable price.easy to find very good.a teenage family

Terrible place! Can never get an order right, and cannot even get a click and collect order together. This time we didn't get any of our frozen produce. Although I still had to pay £1.50..vote with your feet peeps. Dont shop there...its the only way this poor service will change.

Tried buying a monster with my partner today and my partner had ID to prove over 18+ of course it’s always the ladies who refuse the men. The men who work here never give us Grief. You need to get better people working here who know their job.

This is a big store with clothes, electrical items, storage, entertainment (music, games etc) and food. There's a huge range here and a Macdonald's too

I brought a belt from here and it was broken from the start, should have tested it on before hand but had to get it refunded the next day. this asda is so large I really struggled to find my food items but that's not entirely a bad thing.

WHY DON'T ASDA LIKE DISABLED PEOPLE IT LETS ANYONE PARK IN THE DISABLED PARKING

My daughter had a seizure last night in the Cosmetics Isle, i can not thank the staff enough for all their help, screens went up within two minutes, a pillow for her head and lots of offers of help throyghout. we had medical help from a paramedic and A&E doctor that happened to be shopping too(thank you) ! But for this review i just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff that helped us.. Bless you all and Happy Christmas

Blonde lady with the snaggle tooth openly talked about us to her colleague while we were basically stood right next to them. Pretty rude.

I have been shopping in Asda in taunton a few times. Big store which has everything under one roof. Nice big carpark and layout.

Plenty of choice and not too busy

A decent supermarket but I try and avoid coming here if possible.

Pretty consistent most of the time, Peak time customers usually tend to grab alot of stock before non peak shoppers like myself so i find myself having to go without pretty often, but im not sure if i should fault the store they do stock every night and it's a massive store so the staff deserve some merit.

Easy shopping experience. Lots of choice. Spread out and fairly spacious. Plenty of parking and cheap petrol.

Just done a shop at my local asda store and was disgusted to hear one member of staff who was picking an order for a customers home delivery/clic and collect , say that "they can like it or lump it "when she was unable to find an item of the order so just grabbed another item and throw it in the box ! Seriously !!

A big shop easy to walk round friendly staff

Excellent range of products available here. Standard groceries/frozen/fresh stuff, but also clothing, electrical goods, bedding & furnishings, books/magazines/cards, etc. When shops were limited to essential goods only, this place was open with it's normal range of products all available to buy, which was a lifeline really. Prices are generally pretty reasonable, especially if you look out for offers and buy at the right times. The size of the store means that you can get (almost) everything under one roof.

Very large ASDA with great range of products. Every staff member I have interacted with at the store has been very helpful and the staff on the Scan and Go are especially nice.

Worth a visit and has most things - shopping and home appliances and clothes - homely items etc. Worth a visit and prices are very good. (They do do a great selection of Fresh cakes - sandwiches and fresh bread). Enjoy your visit if you go.

I visited the store today and I can safely say until this covid has gone I will not be visiting again. I received an email from Asda boss informing me that Asda had upped its covid safety in store. One way system in place, limiting people in store , this was the reason I went. But wow.... it was awful NO SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL, WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE IN STORE, I FELT SO SORRY FOR THE POOR GIRL WORKING ON SELF SCAN SO MANY PEOPLE AROUND HER. Asda you need to sort it out. No wonder the virus is spreading so rapidly. I did my best to avoid people but it was impossible. They just walked up to me, leant over me. Groups of people shopping together when it clearly says one per household. Nobody manning the doors. Terrible show Asda.

Taunton asda is very rude to the customers. older people sometimes have trouble finding goods in a large store that changes location every few days and the staff does not try to help their customers. From time to time music is so loud my mom can't hear me from a distance of 2 meters when I help her shoping. I found loads of products out of date. Once I mentioned to a staff member that the product was out of date, she said, "I'm not here to check dates” On self checkout problem, mistake or error(red lights) take ages for sorted as staffs members are to busy talking with they colleges.

We got lots of bargains from this shop 3 weeks ago. Clothes really cheap.

Awful experience. I have to self isolate and I chose Asda to deliver my groceries. I have been waiting for my delivery for 3 days and 1h before the due delivery I received a text saying that my order is cancelled. The next available slot is in 3 days. I have no food at home, I live alone and now I have to put people at risk if I don't want to starve to death. Thank you Asda.

terrable place, went for a meal deal, then paid and released that had been charged full price. waited for customer service which was terrible told me, we no longer do meal deals not this week. no refund offered no explanation, terrible, don't get your lunch there

Food prices change daily don't hold much stock to small for taunton

Ordered so much stuff and it was wrong We ordered vegan cupcakes and hey sent no vegan cupcakes as a replacement and we ordered sausages and they came on the 20th but the date is three days out of date that is totally unacceptable I am disappointed bc this is the third time this has happened to vegan items

Terrible queueing system asda always say their prices are lower than any other store not so looked at stuff we buy elsewhere all was much dearer and some shelves were empty

I am a home care worker in between care calls and just asked if I could nip into the store to get a sandwich and was told that I can only go in quickly on a mon wed and friday.....

Annoyed I've had to leave 1 star here to be honest ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES. If you're going to put arrows on the floor, at least enforce it. Completely over crowed. Clearly not enforcing any kind of social distancing. At least there isn't any infections going around killing people.... Oh wait. If I haven't left with COVID19 Ive more than likely caught something. Then to top it off, the lady serving at the self service tells me I couldn't go in the self service area with my Mrs due to social distancing. So she has to pack and scan it all herself. I mean I fully agree with her doing her job but it's a bit late after all the mongrals in the shop walking anywhere and every where may as well of been sat in my pocket

First ever click and collect order. Used the app to say we were on the way to pick up and was delighted to find that we only had to wait a few minutes for the groceries to be brought out to us. The staff were brilliant. Very polite and cheerful. And all items ordered were there. Great service, Asda!

Massive thank you to Taunton Asda and all their staff, my wife has just finished working a long weekend at the hospital, allowing NHS staff ahead of general public is fantastic idea, plus she was given a bunch of flowers and thanked for her services, very very humbling.

Not good at all,drove 15 miles to get there for 6.00am opening,waited in the cold for 15 minutes just to be told they are not opening until 8.00,I am disabled as were others,the website said 6.00 and so did all of the boards,not good asda.

The new refurb is great but it makes the customer service and kiosk area very confusing. Me and another lady just qued for 10 minutes in what appeared to be the customer service que, multiple staff on the desk looked at us without thinking to mention we’d got it a little wrong. After queuing in the right place when I got to the desk I mentioned it was a little confusing as was met with the “customer service member” telling me everyone else had figured it out, to which I replied actually no this other lady was confused to. But next time maybe just point out we were in the wrong place. To which she sarcastically smiled and noted again everyone else had figured it out. All I needed was a sorry, I didn’t realise why you were waiting there. Or I’ll pass your comments on about it being confusing. But no. I was just met with rudeness. Excellent customer services.

This review is solely for the McDonald’s inside the store. It is an absolute disgrace. The customer service in there is appalling and the food is awful. Me and my partner went shopping and thought we’d pick some lunch up on the way out. We got in there and ordered it and paid for it. However when going to collect the food they told us they had no straws for the drinks, which were Milkshakes. Not quite sure how we’re meant to drink a cup of thick ice cream with no straw. Many of you may think “let it melt then drink it” however it’ not the same. After we left with our bag of food and got home my partner opens the bag to get it out to find three quarters of it missing. I phoned the McDonald’s up in Asda and asked why is only been given a small portion of my order and they said “we’ve sold out of certain things therefore we can’t give those to you”. If that’s the case then you knew when I ordered the food that you didn’t have it yet still charged me for it!!!! The. When I ask for my money back you hang the phone up!! Very grown up of you McDonald’s. I can honestly say I will never be setting foot in that McDonald’s again. I wii I had advise most others to avoid it as well just so you don’t end up in the same situation as me and my partner only worse if it’s children’s dinner. If I could give this a minus rating I 100% would. CRAP......!!!!!

Reasonable priced items always good place to shop

Thought we'd try out your Cafe after a 2 mile walk with my boys. Arrived around 4:15 and welcomed to chairs on tables and no staff in sight. After waiting 5-10 minutes and holding back my son from eating left over wotsits on the floor, I prompted one of the store members who went to inform a lady that there is a customer waiting. After thanking the store assistant I was left dealing with a boy who I assume had absolute no idea where he even was. I asked about the childrens meals which was pointed out as displayed on the wall. After my son picked his choice of chicken nuggets waffles and beans and a full breakfast, We were informed that there was no hot food being cooked. When I asked why he said it was because they were no staff? Might I add we were the only customers in the Cafe with two staff members working. In my theory one to cook and one to clean and serve? I did try to find your cooking times but they aren't displayed. Luckily enough we had a lovely chippy instead!

Do we have to have such loud music.....like a night club. Makes me want to leave before I even start.

Trying to at least email with a complaint..site is useless!! Rubbish. Friend told me about offer 'online' for 6 bottles Brancott Sauvignon Blanc wine. Daughter and I shop 'online' from Asda every week. No offer. Don't think fair if 'regional' if shopping online!! Sorry..just had to vent, feel unfair if shopping 'online'!!!

The store itself is wonderful, but the staff are rude. We were waiting in line for the customer service and the woman on the till was effing and blinding about her manager. Not very good when young children are around. They are understaffed and only a few tills were open, the scan as you shop and self service have 1 member of staff for all of them, when something happens on the machine it takes ages for them to sort it .

I would never eat here again, the chili was tiny wouldn’t fill an 8 year old, it said with white rice but it It was yellow the drink “coke” tasted like fizzy water, the dish smelt of B/O and the waiter was moody, seriously don’t eat here

A large store and has just been refurbished and is far better now. The food is reasonably priced, the only fault is the quality of the meat which is tough, I think the animals died of old age. They have cash machines outside by the entrance. There is a petrol station in the car park which is credit card only. In general this is a good store.
