Had a Sunday family meal here early evening on a Sunday in April. You have to book...you know that.... it's Hampstead. I had the roast beef which was a delight. Recommended.

I recently had a wonderful experience with a atmosphere and food in freemasons arms restaurant.good service and greeted me with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm from Vijay.

Service was friendly and efficient who provided excellent service throughout our meal (especially Tariq)!

Javier and Yamuna was such a lovely host. We had a wonderful time. My fav pub in hampsyead

Extremely impressed by the quality of the steak special. My wife and I were not expecting this high level of food when we came here. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you to the chef Mariusz and our server Susie. Hope the shared steak doesn’t stay on the specials menu and makes it onto the normal menu!

Solid Sunday Roast. Nice outside area. Decent prices. Service is quite poor. Staff are friendly, but the service can be incredibly slow. The staff seems wildly disorganized and doesn't seem to know what they are doing. It took 20 mins to get a drink when we got there, and the place was maybe half full. Often had to call staff in order to place an order or get water, basic stuff.

It was sooooooo busy and sooooooooo lovely. It took a while to get served but to be expected. Food was honest pub Fayre.

I really loved the place! It was very comfortable and cozy. The food was delicious and it came so fast. The service was great and the waitress had such a positive energy. I think her name was Gergana. Even tho we had a lot of questions, she remained patient and kindly answered all of them ! Would definitely visit again.

Family friendly pub. The food is always gorgeous, especially the roasts on Sundays. Always comes quickly. Sepi is a very attentive and friendly server. Compliments to Chefs Bùgra and Nas. Photos don’t do the roast justice as the veg is hidden under the meat. The roast beef sirloin is amazing. Yorkshire puddings huge, and bottomless gravy. And I also love their sea bass.

Always a good experience at The Freemasons - staff are friendly, food is consistently good and the garden is beautiful. Would highly recommend after a walk on the Heath.

I had an incredible experience here! Not only is the atmosphere welcoming, but the service from Yasmine, the bartender, was absolutely top-notch. She’s attentive, friendly, and makes the best drinks! She made my group feel right at home. Highly recommend checking out this spot for great drinks and even better company!

Stilled for a post walk drink - lovely warm welcome from the smiley staff (including Ola Vytenis) Table service at a great outdoor table in the sunshine. Lovely cold pint of Asahi. All great.

The food was great, but we could only order it 1.5 hours later because the kitchen was too busy, but if we were inside we could get food, but this would take more than an hour. Then after a drink we were able to order food after waiting about 45 minutes... a bit strange but ultimately a delicious meal. You really need to make a reservation!!

I have no words for how utterly appalling the service was at the Freemason today. Stunning, gorgeous day, and the manager did manage to give us a table. However, we waited over 58 minutes for our dinner, with three dishes missing, then waited another 14 minutes for the other two. We have 5 starving kids ... My main issue was the complete lack of care or communication with customers. It's totally fine if it's an incredibly busy day or if the orders were messed up, but don’t serve it up and then say, “if you want leave thats fine .” Disgraceful. No matter how busy you are, say no to people coming in, manage people's expectations, talk to your customers like customers. I'd like to mention the food was actually really nice, which made it worse as it was a gorgeous setting, but the lack of caring was appalling.

Our server Susie was fantastic. She laughed at my parents’ terrible jokes and looked after us really well. The food was actually very tasty. Loved my rotisserie chicken!

Lovely Pub but the staff needs training. Fantastic beer garden and lovely food but most of the stuff seems bored and lethargic to customer service. Youstra was the highlight of the afternoon and made up in service and customer interaction. It doesn’t hurt to be friendly and show customer appreciation.

A great venue but downhill all the way after that. Poor food, hopeless service, non-existent management. Maybe an off night - but won’t be rushing back.

I decided to take my mother today for mother's day, and I was not disappointed! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was amazing, and the young girl who served us, I believe her name was Ola, was so friendly and super helpful! 10/10 experience and would definitely come again!

I have been waiting for my food for at least one hour. When I checked the bill I was charged £7 extra for a “baked gilot camembert” from a three course menu that was marked as “for two to share”. There was another strarter below in the menu “pan fried scallops” that said “£3 supplement”. When I went to talk to the manager , Sean Scott, he told in a very rude manner that I should have checked the bill before paying. (If you don’t pay attention, we will take advantage of you!!) I said the menu was misleading as the extra charge for sharing was not disclosed as it was for the scallops. He said he would not change it, I should have checked the bill before I paid. After talking to him for a few minutes he started talking to other customers as if I wasn’t there. Completely ignoring me and in the end he said if I stayed there he would have to ask me to leave the premises. No worries, I left on my own and I will never come back. I’ve been in this restaurant at least 20 times. Enough said on how much they value their customers. I’m taking this to the Competition and Market authorities. It’s not the money, it’s the principle.

Staff putting in an effort but food, service, could be improved potentially. There is a lot of space in this beautiful venue.

25 minute wait time at the bar. Not enough staff clearly and was told that the restaurant customers are dealt with before anyone at the bar after waiting twenty minutes. During this wait I watched two members of bar staff serve the same group of people. Poor service but I wouldn't put that on the servers seems like a management problem

Susie was a great host! The food was fantastic and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. The chocolate bomb was truly out of this world.

Our initial waiter was very cheerful, professional and pleasant. The food and wine were delicious. However our meal was totally ruined by the subsequent staff. Being asked if we wanted the bill before we were finished was very strange. We weren't there for long (an hour by this point) and we were being rushed even though the restaurant was emptying (towards 6pm) . We had wanted to see the dessert menu and have another drink. One waiter tried to take my plate while I had my knife and fork in hand and I was mid cutting some meat! I was astonished. Another one came and added a table to the end of ours, again while we were still eating. Which we again found disruptive. We thought our original waiter must have finished his shift while we were there and then saw him on our way out. I guess they break their staff while they're still serving a table? At one point we were trying to get the other waiters attention, there were 4 of them chatting and we couldn't get their attention even though the side we were eating was empty bar one other table eating. Our experience was basically ruined by the service. Im afraid I wouldnt eat here again because of it. A shame because the food was actually very nice.

Great location, terrible service that is complacent on account of the great location. Have been an occasional customer for years. Visited on this occasion with my grandmother who was visiting from abroad with a reservation around opening time. Was seated in a room full of families, and some wailing and running children in tow. That's ok, families should enjoy their Sundays like anyone. However, the room next door had only a few couples dining inside (mostly empty), and my visiting grandmother couldn't hear a word of conversation at the place we were seated, and was aggravated by the fact. Upon polite request and explanation, the host refused to reseat our group with the excuse that it was a major operation to reorganise so tables would be available for groups at the right time. This excuse made no sense as our group was sat at the first sitting, either way.. given the empty room next door I'd expect them to make some basic effort to reseat us as any other restaurant I've visited would. Disregard for the elderly for no reason other than lack of flexibility, contempt for customers, laziness, or total organisational ineptitude (either in their seating system, or wish to concentrate customers in an uncomfortable environment). Ended up having to leave and trudge uphill with my poor grandmother to find a reasonable place to eat. Lovely place adjacent Hampstead Heath that shouldn't be in the hands of present management.

Sepehr was excellent in explaining details about our steak and customer service and the chef Naz cooked our steak and burgers to a perfect taste.

We had an incredible meal thanks to Chef Naz and the fantastic service team. We enjoyed the Sunday Roast Trio and the Ribeye Steak, both cooked to perfection. The steak came with wonderfully crispy, well-seasoned chips — if I’d known how good they were, I wouldn’t have ordered extra fries on the side! Usually, pub chips are a bit soggy, but these were spot on. We also had the beef croquettes and sticky chicken to start — both absolutely delicious. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. A truly wonderful dining experience — highly recommend.
