Purchased a 99 and one for my partner from the van £10 what a rip off when challenged answered very arrogant it is Bakewell and I pay £40,000 for pitch. Rubbish ice cream and even worse service. Never again.

It's maybe one of the best place to taste the original and special ice cream. Always served with the smile. I recommend this café.

Love it! Couldn't have had a friendlier, warmer welcome. Excellent coffee and a lovely calm oasis upstairs away from the bank holiday bedlam!!

Stopped here after a short walk with my husband and 2 dogs, wonderfully friendly staff gave us some icecream for the dogs, they loved it - I had the double cone with chocolate and salted caramel both tasted absolutely amazing, best I've ever tasted - will definitely be going back.

We stopped here for a gelato on a sunny day and were in for a treat - my husband had the cherry, as you do in Bakewell, and I had the coffee - both were delicious and so creamy.

The ice cream from Freddies was really quite delicious, so I can't fault them on quality and the cafe looks quite sweet inside. However I can't rate higher because I was really dissapointed by the experience I had. We had returned go Bakewell after a 90km bike ride and I took my water bottle with the hopes of it being filled. We spent £8 On ice creams and a coffee, but the barista refused to fill my water bottle with rap water. I explained I didn't want to buy a plastic bottle as it was incredibly wasteful and bad for the environment but she didn't give a crap about that. This attitude surprises me, it's not like we hadn't spent money also. It was about 29 degree outside too!

There are many designer outlets here offering huge discounts to those who know their labels, allow yourself a day to explore, there are also many places to eat and relax along the way. personally i thoroughly enjoyed my visit and managed to bag a bargain for my wife.

Slightly off the beaten track Fredericks sells the best Italian ice cream and superb coffee. Tiramisu, Sicilian Orange shared over a proper cappuccino (no stupid chocolate sprinkled on top) and a smooth latte. Great decor (stylish steam bent stools, lots of glass and stainless steel). Enthusiastic, charming and knowledgeable Italian sommelier - perfect grown up treat away from the usual tedious afternoon tea, or fish and chips. Molto Bene!

On a very hot day we had to stop at this prize-winning gelataria in Bakewell. My salted caramel was disappointingly dry and flavourless. From the way it had to be scraped from the container it looked as if it had been around for a while.

The ice cream we bought was very tasty and I’m pleased we found it, I was just expecting there to be more flavours for a Gelateria. We visited the ice cream van too and I was disappointed with the whippy - extremely overpriced and no kids cones available. Far too much ice cream served by a young lad who didn’t know how to serve the product correctly. In fact it cost more than the homemade ice cream from the shop which was so much better. I didn’t even realise the van had the traditional ice cream available until I saw a customer with some - very poorly advertised.

Just got ice cream to take away. Really lovely flavours. A little pricey but I guess to be expected in a touristy town.

Came across the shop while in Bakewell and bought a cone each as looked good. Icecream was nice although girl serving not very friendly and got one of the flavours wrong and gave choc chip instead of coffee cream!

Craigs Dairy and Purbeck Ice Cream were our favourites in this country up until today. Both of these are excellent ranges, flavours and quality, these have today been surpassed. I didn't think this day would come. Not giving 5/5 only because of the price.

I had read about the Gelataria and was looking forward to the visit. The first day we turned up and they were just closing. I asked what time they closed and they said 5pm so I queried it being 2.30pm and was told they had a slow day and so were closing early. We were back the next morning eager in my mind have a dish with ice cream and eat upstairs.
