Excellent food and service as always. A real hidden gem in Halifax Market. Highly recommend this place. Menu is great and all home cooked food. Bloke who runs it is spot on.

I had been told about this little oasis before but never quite managed to eat there before today. What a little gem this is with quality burgers and pizzas all fresh made and from the expletives coming from other diners they were impeccably made and presented meals. I however choose to order from the specials board or snall(ish) plates. Seared steak with gnocchi and pepper sauce. Fabulously cooked with a pink middle on the steak and great gnocchi and a total snip @ £9.50. I only choose 1 dish as I only wanted a top up rather than full blown meal but if I had added patatas bravas it would have been a total tummy filler. Would not hesitate to go back and will recommend. It also sounded like the bottomless events are worth trying

This place is just fantastic, the food is on another level for inside Halifax borough market. I've been many times and tried the burgers, pizza and smallish plates and they all hit the spot. We went for some food before the Korn gig later that day and left feeling nicely full and smiling with the conversation we had with everyone in the place. More than highly recommended!

Visited with my friend who’s from Halifax and he swore about this little gem and wasnt wrong. Each dish was delicious, but I particularly enjoyed the Bhajis, Halloumi and Steak Medallions. Great service, even better food. I’ll definitely visit again next time I’m in Halifax

My partner introduced me to this little hidden gem, he bought me a chicken tikka on homemade bread, it was absolutely to die for. When I'm working in town it's so refreshing knowing there's somewhere that does such beautiful food.

Fantastic quality food and friendly service. Our son who loves a pizza but knows what he does and doesn’t like loved his pizza, we had burgers that were delicious and all the food was freshly cooked and piping hot. Highly recommend 👌🏼

Open up your listening holes, i'll say this only once... if you're in Halifax, it'd be a crime not to book yourself in for the BYOB Brunch special at Freddies. Course after course after course of simply incredible food at an absolute bargain price. And the best part? No two trips are ever the same. The chef prepares everything fresh on the day, and it's always a suprise and a delight. Such a hidden gem of a venue!

I really can't praise this place enough! Beautiful, fresh food at great prices. I enquired about veggie options on the Grab and Go menu and within minutes had been sent some plenty to choose from. The Cauliflower Cheese Arancini are delicious and the Cajun Halloumi bites were also beautiful. Fresh bread made in house is just the proverbial icing on the cake! 100% will be returning...regularly!

This is my favourite place to eat in Halifax! Bruce’s banter is top tier and we have always gone away feeling like we’ve been to catch up! The food is just absolutely UNREAL, not greasy or heavy, it’s just PERFECT! Everywhere I go I always find myself picking up the pepper and salt but I have never even looked for it here, everything is seasoned to perfection! We’ve had the burgers and fries, the pizzas and some of the specials and I could go here every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner if my bank balance allowed it, but think that’s a good thing for my waistline though!🤣🙌🏽 that being said, the prices are very reasonable for the food quality of ingredients you get, you will not be disappointed going to this lush little place! And when we win the lottery you’re getting hired Bruce! 🙌🏽

Me and my partner visited today after a recommendation and the food is 100% spot on. We both loved every dish, super tasty, big portions. We had the tapas small plates. Really good prices for the amount of food and we had left overs which he boxed up so we could take home! Can’t wait to go back and try all the other dishes.

Definitely the best food in Halifax, the sweetcorn fritters alone are worth a trip to Halifax for! They’re out of this world, they sound like a side dish but they could be a meal on their own! Second review after many, MANY return visits. Outstanding pizzas, incredible and varied tapas and easily the best burgers in town. They even have a new burger challenge for those with an appetite 😀. If you haven't been down yet, get yourself in asap!
