Freddie's Fowler in Calderdale

Visited with my friend who’s from Halifax and he swore about this little gem and wasnt wrong. Each dish was delicious, but I particularly enjoyed the Bhajis, Halloumi and Steak Medallions. Great service, even better food. I’ll definitely visit again next time I’m in Halifax

My partner introduced me to this little hidden gem, he bought me a chicken tikka on homemade bread, it was absolutely to die for. When I'm working in town it's so refreshing knowing there's somewhere that does such beautiful food.

Fantastic quality food and friendly service. Our son who loves a pizza but knows what he does and doesn’t like loved his pizza, we had burgers that were delicious and all the food was freshly cooked and piping hot. Highly recommend 👌🏼

Open up your listening holes, i'll say this only once... if you're in Halifax, it'd be a crime not to book yourself in for the BYOB Brunch special at Freddies. Course after course after course of simply incredible food at an absolute bargain price. And the best part? No two trips are ever the same. The chef prepares everything fresh on the day, and it's always a suprise and a delight. Such a hidden gem of a venue!

Called in for lucnh and ordered 4 of the "small" plates between 2. Food was amazing and portions were generous, definitely value for money.

I really can't praise this place enough! Beautiful, fresh food at great prices. I enquired about veggie options on the Grab and Go menu and within minutes had been sent some plenty to choose from. The Cauliflower Cheese Arancini are delicious and the Cajun Halloumi bites were also beautiful. Fresh bread made in house is just the proverbial icing on the cake! 100% will be returning...regularly!

This is my favourite place to eat in Halifax! Bruce’s banter is top tier and we have always gone away feeling like we’ve been to catch up! The food is just absolutely UNREAL, not greasy or heavy, it’s just PERFECT! Everywhere I go I always find myself picking up the pepper and salt but I have never even looked for it here, everything is seasoned to perfection! We’ve had the burgers and fries, the pizzas and some of the specials and I could go here every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner if my bank balance allowed it, but think that’s a good thing for my waistline though!🤣🙌🏽 that being said, the prices are very reasonable for the food quality of ingredients you get, you will not be disappointed going to this lush little place! And when we win the lottery you’re getting hired Bruce! 🙌🏽

Me and my partner visited today after a recommendation and the food is 100% spot on. We both loved every dish, super tasty, big portions. We had the tapas small plates. Really good prices for the amount of food and we had left overs which he boxed up so we could take home! Can’t wait to go back and try all the other dishes.

Lovely selection of tapas style food for both adults and children. Each dish freshly cooked. Very tasty. It was a surprise birthday meal, just brilliant.

Definitely the best food in Halifax, the sweetcorn fritters alone are worth a trip to Halifax for! They’re out of this world, they sound like a side dish but they could be a meal on their own! The seasoning of them is utterly incredible! I’ve never had a bad meal here, the choice is great and it’s really well priced

I'm a northerner, from Halifax....currently living far from home. I have been meaning to experience some of Halifax's eateries that I have missed on recent years! Wow! Freddie (wowser) fowlers! Called in today for a bite at lunchtime, can only say the food was excellent. Took a while to choose as the choice is extensive, we both went for a burger, and they spot on. Will be back, soon.

Had homemade pizza and chips for the kids, Deep fried Brie and a wrap. Really nice food, very friendly staff and you would pay two or three times the price for the same meal in other places in town. Will be returning

Second review after many, MANY return visits. Outstanding pizzas, incredible and varied tapas and easily the best burgers in town. They even have a new burger challenge for those with an appetite 😀. If you haven't been down yet, get yourself in asap!
