Our favorite place for fish and chips! Worth every penny!

We were not told prior to ordering that the coffee was not Lavazza, but instant. We were then charged £2.00 per cup of Kenco instant coffee. There was a Lavazza sign outside which was what drew us in.

Very enjoyable stop for coffee and cake (or, in my case, a great hot chocolate). The service was great.

Fraser's is a great fish and chip shop. Fish and wide range of other takeaway greats are freshly prepared to order. Chips are excellent and mushy peas are to die for. If you want fish and chips near Egremont...come here. You won't regret it.

Staying in seven acres campsite and this was the nearest chip shop. Glad we went , best fish and chips we have had and value for money too. That's takes some beating as we are from Blackpool.

Usual range of fare with the added extra of a home made traybake pie! Fish freshly cooked. I've never been disappointed with Frasers and will use again.

The fish was cooked well. The chips were a little dry for me, but my partner enjoyed them. All comes down to preference. I would buy from here again.

Extremely rude staff, order was incorrect and was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable by the staff who were whispering behind the counter before rudely asking my partner to leave the shop. I’m guessing the reason behind this was the awful way he was spoken to when trying to order during lockdown and his response at the time. As for the food it was good albeit wrong order.

First time we've been here & the staff were nice & helpful. Ordered a chicken tikka baguette & a tuna savoury baguette. Both were beautiful & fresh - full of filings & lovely soft baguettes. Got the rocky road & green chocolate mint cake, both were out of this world!! We will definatley be going back as everything looked gorgeous!!

Just visiting St Bees and we thought let’s have some fish & chips for our dinner. Did a quick check online ordered at Frasers and we were not disappointed. One small fish dinner (comes with peas & tartar sauce) for £5 and it was a very generous portion ....I had basically a whale with medium chips £7 plus a curry sauce, it’s my guilty pleasure 😉. We live in Blackpool and we thought we had good fish & chip shops but Frasers beats them all. The fish quality was fresh with lovely batter. The best £13 I’ve spent during our 2 day break. Got a coronation chicken roll, coffee, and rocky road cake here. The coffee was ok for just coming out of a machine, although for £2 to get a cup half the size of what Greggs does for cheaper is a bit skimpy. The rocky road was made with cooking (I.e. fake) chocolate, so didn’t taste very nice. The coronation chicken was very spicy. While I do like spicy food, it felt more like I should be eating it with rice in an Indian restaurant. It was so spicy I wanted a bottle of water after, but they only sold them for £1.50. I went down the road to the Co-Op after and got the same size for 46p. Service was completely fine and there’s nothing wrong with the place itself, but overall it was a bit underwhelming. For the price of the coffee they either need to have a normal sized cup or get a real coffee machine. Bottled drinks are clearly overpriced compared to the competition, and the use of cooking chocolate is outdated and unnecessary.

Usually fantastic but today's dinner was not up to standard. The fish was cold and oily with no flavour. Very disappointing. New staff who didn't know what you were asking them. Not a good visit.

We had excellent fish and chips here twice when we were on holiday at St Bee's. The fish and chips were the best I've ever had, and the staff so well organised, and friendly. Even when they're busy they make time to be friendly. My wee boy needed the toilet when we were ordering and even though the restaurant bit was shut they let him go in and use the toilet, and it was no problem. I would go out of my way to go back there on future holidays!

Massive portion of haddock and the nicest chips I've had in a long time. Customer service could have been better (friendlier) otherwise very satisfied ... And very full up 😊

Had an hour to kill in Egremont and as it's not spoiled for cafes headed to Fraser's. ImmavImmacul clean and friendly service and thankfully great cake and even better coffee. The beef stew looked amazing and being next to their chip shop the chips looked great too.

When we have a celebration at work, we usually get a round of pies in. Today we fancied doing something different and thought a few sandwiches and chips would be perfect. We contacted Frasers and they were able to supply a couple of trays of sandwiches and a couple of trays of chips. This was perfect... The sandwiches were delicious and the chips superb. If you have a bit of a celebration in the office and are looking for some food, I highly recommend frasers.. The quality and service is first class...

Just fancied fish and chips whilst on holiday. Frasers did not disappoint. There was a generous portion of chips and a nice sized piece of fish. All was very freshly cooked and tasted delicious.

Average, fish & chip shop, reasonable prices Nowt special.

Food is excellant within the take away side. I do find the chips to be slightly undercooked, I prefer them to be crispier but this is purely a preference. pricing is pretty high especially if paying for meals for the full family were you most likely will be paying 15+. Everything is clean and tidy though and portion size is generous.

Not a place I can eat at as I have specialist dietary needs, but I understand good fish & chips.

The guys at work recommended Frasers after I asked what the fish & chips were like. I can confirm they are outstanding, the chips were freshly cooked and tasted great, a little soft but par-for-the-course as all other chip shops. The fish was fresh, the portion was slightly smaller than we get in Suffolk but the batter was light, tasty and not at all greasy, the best bit was the fillet of cod was cooked with no skin on and the cod just fell away from the batter. one of the best fish & chips I've had and I live on the coast and have sampled a fair few in my time. I will be back.

Brilliant place, great chips and huge range on the menu, Cumberland sausage that is amazing, homemade lasagne and pies as well as traditional chippy offerings, fish, patties etc. If you are in or visiting West Cumbria this is the place to go for the best Fish and chips by far! They have a take away chip shop and a sit down cafe too!

They keep a que whilsh they do a great many orders not a place to visit on a friday

Lets face it, Britain has 1000's of fish shops, many are good, some are great and some are outstanding. This is in the latter range. The chips are large, hot and you get a decent portion. The fish is just above average, the Cod is a nice size and well flavored. They have a good range of pies and fritters. The staff are what you expect in a northern British Village friendly and direct, they have a chat to locals so one would expect in time you would be treated as one. Did I mention the chips? You will go back for more.
