Frasers at the Bracken Hide in Highland

Elegimos cenar aquí recientemente por primera vez para una ocasión especial - para celebrar nuestro aniversario de boda. Hermoso entorno, hermosas vistas, deliciosa comida. Para empezar me disfruté de mejillones al curry, con pan y mantequilla caseros, y el marisco tagliatelle - grandes porciones tan muy satisfecho. Nuestro hijo disfrutó de una hamburguesa cargada y patatas fritas rústicas. Hermoso bar para un cóctel después de nuestra comida, disfrutando de las vibras relajadas.

Essen war gut, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt jedoch nicht. Das Restaurant ist nicht für Familien geeignet. Auch nicht für Vegetarier, einzig die Tagessuppe war glücklicherweise vegetarisch (ausser natürlich Chips…). Die Bedienung / Service lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Wenig aufmerksam.

El edificio era muy bonito - moderno y arquitectónico. Tuvimos que reservar con antelación, así que era obviamente popular. Lo estaba guardando, y el aparcamiento está a unos cientos de metros de la entrada. Llegó mojado y frío. El edificio estaba frío y no hizo más calor durante toda la noche. Estábamos sentados junto a otra mesa ocupada. Era una calabaza - nada cómodo. Sentado frente a la ventana de la imagen con una vista sobre un edificio industrial. Pedí vino blanco que trajeron pero no nos sirvieron. No es realmente la buena - experiencia gastronómica que se prometió. Servicio tan... tan. La comida era buena - que lo salvó de 2 estrellas. Caro para lo que era.

Food was first class. Could have eaten anything on the menu but we chose carpaccio of venison to start. Impeccable presentation & and a well-thought out dish. I then had fresh cod, friend the crab risotto. Both of us chose panacotta for dessert. All food spot on. Served in a timely fashion by a hard-working team. And a view to die for. A welcome addition to the dining scene in Portree.

We had an amazing experience at Frasers. Not only were dinner and breakfast fantastic- they had awesome staff, specifically Shirley and Rudy. They were very sincere and made us feel welcome and at home. Even our 3 year old son enjoyed himself. They made us feel special.

This place is an absolute gem. Really different and modern place with a fantastic restaurant. Menu is good high-end bistro style but not too fussy and not fine-dining. Puddings were a little disappointing. If I lived in Skye, this would be a regular haunt for meals out and drinks in the bar.

Don’t bother !!! I booked 14 days before my reservation only to find out that they hadn’t booked me in !!!!!! Manager not helpful just said short staff couldn’t accommodate us ,wasn’t bothered that we’d paid for a taxi and it was pouring with rain . One to steer clear off ……..use at your own peril

We were out for a family meal with 7 adults and children ranging from 3-14 years. A nice chilled out area for kids to play and relax upstairs was offered which was great as they weren't getting board. Might be a good idea to have more parking nearer as a steep walk up. Ok for myself but not so good for my parents although later we took the car up and we were allowed to leave it parked at the top. Perhaps more spaces could be available at the top. Food was delicious. In general most places are pricey to eat these days so in comparison it was ok although deserts are maybe a bit over priced but in saying that they were delicious. It was all lovely as a treat to celebrate a special birthday. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Thank you for a lovely relaxing family dinner 🙂. We will be back.

I'm amazed again about the food and service at this place. The service was outstanding Ceilidh and Arthur are fabulous they did a wonderful job. The food was wonderful. scallops again for starters, see bass for mains with green vegetables, potatoes and colourful peppers on the top. Absolutely delicious 😋 thanks again Fraser's team. The food is absolutely perfect - very high quality produce. The service is fantastic. Beautiful atmosphere with huge glass windows facing down the mountain.

We were blown away by the ambience, quality of food and outstanding service. We are only here in Skye for 4 nights but we are talking about returning to this restaurant, assuming that they have spare tables of course. They were fully booked up this evening and were not taking any more reservations........

We discovered this spot on Instagram and I was blown away with the location photos. Just outside Portree and easy to find. The building housing the restaurant is like something from a James Bond movie. We all thought the food was good. Although portions way too big. I’d really like to compliment Jane as she was the best member for staff we had the pleasure of meeting in our week long trip up in the highlands. Above and beyond and such a fab attitude.

Wow. This was lovely. A well designed different style building. The food was amazing. We all enjoyed everything we chose. Crockery and glasses were stylish. Lovely view. Great attentive staff. We are local and will definitely recommend to others and go again. Thank you all.

This was the scond time at Fraser's and it was phenomenal again. The food is out of this world. I had the beef cheek which melted in my mouth. Mashed potatoes creamy and the vegetables are fresh and crunchy. Staff are attentive and very friendly. The restaurant is very clean and inviting 👌 keep it up guys will be back very soon 😀

We were staying at Bracken Hide and had dinner one evening plus breakfast three mornings. The service was consistently dreadful, quite possibly the worst we have ever experienced, unfortunately the very worst was from the most senior member of staff o duty. The younger staff were willing but very poorly trained. Issues included: no menus available left standing at 'welcome' desk and ignored by senior staff excruciatingly slow service asked for dessert menu which never appeared - instead they delivered the bill, decided life was to short to bother with dessert Breakfast every day had to ask for bowls, plates, and to replenish pastries etc nothing cleared from tables until breakfast finished and guests had left their tables, and then not straight away dirty table surface at breakfast, table not fully laid

Came here recently for dinner. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and were able to accommodate for our dietary requirements. The food tasted great all around, and was a reasonable price for Skye. Non-meat options did feel a little limited, but the selection of dishes we had available were all great. Overall, a very positive experience!

Da wir für eine Nacht eine The Bracken Hide Hütte gemietet hatten, wollten wir nicht nochmal mit dem Auto irgendwohin zum Abendessen fahren und so entschieden wir uns fürs Frasers nebenan. Und was soll ich sagen? Das war’s wert! Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns ebenso bei der Auswahl des Essens beraten. Wir mussten auf nichts lange warten und es war ein rundum schöner Abend, den wir danach mit einem Whisky in der Bar nebenan beendet haben. Kann das Restaurant als auch die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen!

The diner at Frasers was lovely. It was tasty, inventive and looked lovely in the plate. The service was attentive and the wine list ample and well priced. The charcoal cheddar on the cheese board was delicious!
