Frankies Bordon in East Hampshire

Ordering chips from here is excruciating! Went elsewhere in the end.

Absolutely disgusting! Usually love it but this is the 5 th time i have found a hair in my food. Long as well, nearly chocked on it.

Just moved to the area. 1st visit and I am very happy with my new local chippy! Great food, very friendly staff! Very happy

Recently had saveloy and chips and not any good. Not the normal taste and did not enjoy them. Very bland and not spicy at all.

Food is great but closes at 9pm on a FRIDAY which makes zero sense

This fish & chip takeaway has its own app, where you can order and pay for your food online. The food is excellent , the staff are friendly and the premises are clean and hygienic . They do not deliver . The best fish & chip takeaway in Bordon.

Fish very well cooked nice chips

Very nice fish and chips for an OAP but a bit pricey. Almost half as much again as Liphook Fish and Chips and a lot less chips!! Would recommend though!!

Great Fish and Chips. I'd argue the best in Bordon. The food always tastes fresh and the portions of chips are well portioned! It is also great value. I would recommend visiting.

Frankies have had an interior refit, the layout is much better, there are new items on the menu, the chips were cooked fresh and were delicious, their chips and cheese are the best in Bordon. The staff are always helpful and friendly and I would recommend a visit.

Without doubt the best fish and chip shop for miles. Always fresh fish with superb crispy batter, generous portions and easy to order over the phone for collection.

We always get our local fish and chips from Frankies as it is always very good. However this time, 01/10/20 it really was exceptional! It was so tasty, I enjoyed every mouth full from the first to last, nothing was left.

Friendly staff, food cooked as you wait to ensure freshness, you can order by phone for a set time but often your food is not ready for collection

Chips ok large cod very poor for £7+

We have been ordering F&C from Frankies for 5+ years and the fish is always and flaky and delicious and the chips are always properly cooked. The team are always friendly and take pride in their work and use environmentally friendly cardboard boxes and not horrid sweaty polystyrene.

Great customer service lovely food

My wife and I have on many occasions enjoyed the good quality fish and chips from this business. The same however, cannot be said for their attention to detail with regards their Farmhouse Quarter Pounder Beefburgers. These burgers - the manager has confirmed to me on more than one occasion - comprise an Egg, Bacon, a Burger and Cheese, served with Lettuce, Onion, Tomato and a choice of sauce. But it seems that in the sometimes hectic and/or end of the night sessions, this is not what you get. At 9pm on Thursday last (wouldn't you know it, 13th August... 9.15pm closing) we ordered 2 of these, with one to have just tomato, and the other to have just tomato and raw onion. Again I checked that the cheese would be included as on the three previous occasions this had not been included, and the manager made a point of saying this to his colleague. So when we got the order home, HOORAH we had indeed got the cheese included but this time we did not get either tomatoes or onion! GRRRR. And there was no point returning as the shutter went down as we left. It would seem that despite the notes on the order and the verbal communications, no-one is sufficiently concerned about paying attention to the details of what the customers want. This is REALLY not good enough. There's no point in buying decent quality products if you're going to spoil the end results with poor quality service. After 4 goes, we'll go elsewhere.

Very friendly & helpful staff, good service & freshly cooked chips, but ... the saveloy was seriously rank, virtually no taste & looked awful : maybe it had been left in the dish 2 long underneath the heaters, but won't B buying that again : shame.

Well cooked always too much to eat, always accommodating there all very nice, and all the staff have smiles on there faces. They deserve a 5 star

With the greatest regret I have to admit that the quality and the size of portions have recently gone down. My large chips weren't large two times in a row and I was charged as normal.

You can always tell a great fish & chip shop by the Queue , well thats what its like - the best fish & chips for miles , always friendly , and very quick , always cooked fresh , also now able to have your fish grilled , but the best bit is their Batter so why !!!! I went to Frankie's tonight for half chicken and chips.. not sure what has gone wrong but my chips weren't very nice slimey and greasy and they tasted like the fat they were cooked in was old very bitter taste... and my chicken wasn't cooked very well either.. sorry frankies but if you are not told you don't know.. just for the record kaz was true to his word and I had my free meal.. it was lovely thank you frankies. The main problem I feel is that there main man wasnt in that day he is an asset to Frankie's.. always on the ball

I drive past two other fish & chip shops to go to Frankies. It’s up there with the best, all fish cooked to order, worth waiting a very small while for a fantastic takeaway, friendly staff... if you have not tried them yet, do it, you will not be disappointed!

Frankie's do a mean fish and chips for a takeaway. Admittedly it does suffer from the usual grease most takeaways get, but the quality of items like scampi are second to none

A good, bustling atmosphere at this chippy! However, the haddock lacked flavour and it's pretty overpriced for the area. But the chips and thin, crispy batter were decent. I guess it's the result of minimal competition in Bordon.

Have eaten from all the chip shops in the area. this is the one I would go to on a regular bases. the staff are very friendly. the food is always cooked fresh. well done.

Awesome fish and chips. Having tried the other fish shops in Bordon, Frankies is in a different league. Friendly staff, reasonably fast service and good value for money. Only downside is it’s so popular there’s usually a queue.
