Heaven's Kitchen Alton in East Hampshire

If you want London quality without London prices and treated like family with staff I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant, simple touches like chef catering for meals that is not on the menu 👍 guys and a big thank you to Nick and that chef.

We have always had a lovely meal here (usually steak) and find it welcoming and cosy. Thought we’d try Sunday lunch. Absolutely different level. So tasty. Even better than the normal menu, and that is saying something. Would totally recommend

Overpriced for starters. Staff get a bit up themselves if you ask for the steak cooked properly as in well done. Don't order peppercorn sauce as its just gravy with pepper in it.

Had a really good meal. Service was excellent and steak cooked perfectly. My only suggestion is to offer a nice barbeque or sweet & sour type of sauce. Calamari was lovely.

The atmosphere is great, a nice cozy place with amazing food and servers were absolutely lovely, brilliant steak house.

Fabulous restaurant. Both food and service were excellent. We chose from the set 5-course menu and we all agreed that every course was delicious. Rigels, our server, was brilliant - friendly and funny. Overall, a fantastic experience and highly recommended.

We had a great dinner this evening for our anniversary, our waitress Katie (Katy?) was so lovely, professional, very friendly, a credit to the restaurant. She made our evening great 😃 Food was lovely and the 5 courses for £30 is a bargain!

It was ok, but for the price, we expected more for a bill of over £250. When we arrived I had to go to the bar to find someone to seat us we did pre book for 6. The restaurant was Farley quite from what we saw. However, the service was very slow. The adults' meals were brought out first, not a big thing, but it would have been nice for the kids' meals to come out first. The food was nice but we ordered 2 20oz tbones and they were significantly different in size. One of our sides was missed off, and we had to ask for it again, having to go to the bar and ask. When we got out food it was very nice. When we finished, we had to ask for the table to be cleared. we had finished for a while, and the server started to set a table when we asked and said she would clear when she was done. Not very professional or customer focused. We also had to ask 3 times for water for the table. The staff seemed more interested in chatting at the bar, and when we did get served, they were more interested in pushing drinks. To top it off, we were charger an £30 service charge. Of course, we would have tipped, however, for the service we received left a sour taste. One final point is to advertise yourself as a child friendly restaurant and have background music like eminem and other artists with explicit lyrics. I don't think it is Appropriate.

Fantastic service and best steak house in alton

Having been to the HK on Farnham and had an excellent experience we were expecting something similar here. Sadly we were a little disappointed here. Our table felt cramped and felt very hectic. It was situated next to the store room (which was used four or five times with the door opening out into our space) and next to the till which made it very busy. Every time someone walked past it moved the floorboards and disturbed my seat - so not a very relaxing atmosphere. I did ask if we could switch tables but we're told that the other tables were booked out (although two tables were free all evening). The food was good as expected but the waiter managed to get our order wrong. Halfway through our meal our waiter was switched out and our experience started improving... Probably a coincidence. Overall disappointing but it won't stop me visiting Heaven's Kitchen again as the food is always great.

Omg! Three of us all had different food , I tried it all ...omg! I get to eat in a lot of very nice restaurants with work. Down here for a funeral , took a chance on trying somewhere off the cuff ...fantastic! The food was fantastic, the service exemplary, the knowledge of our waitress re what cuts and best way to cook it ...can't praise this place enough. I live 3 hours away but would happily book a hotel just to come back with more friends and eat there again. The cost was reasonable for the quality .. mother who is 90 and " dosnt eat much" cleared her plates!

What an amazing place! great atmosphere, great staff/service on what was a very hot day! Most importantly the food was excellent would highly recommend 8oz black angus fillet; seared to perfection! Will be back soon!

We had amazing tomahawk steaks. Perfectly cooked. Great professional and friendly service. We liked it so much we visited again the next day for lunch and to try the steak burgers using the 50% off deal. Amazing value.

Well I am normally a steak guy but opted for the sea bass was I disappointed No it was amazing slightly spicy sauce with the mash & the prawns were delicious. The steak looked good that was being served at other tables. What a pleasant front of house staff member Katie..

Exceptional service has significantly improved under the new manager, Nick. The overall quality of both service and food has notably enhanced compared to before. As regulars, we have observed remarkable improvements since Nick took over.

Food was very nice - even if the portions were on the small side - good service, but considerably overpriced (£85 for two mains + two starters and drinks).

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. Between us we tried the lamb shank and featherblade steak, both were well portioned and cooked perfectly, and accompanied by delicious gravy, mash and tender veggies.

The steak was lovely, well it should be, it was very expensive. Everything else was horrendous. Prawn cocktail was tasteless frozen prawns in a tasteless sauce. The vegetables were soft and tasteless. The staff were helpful but the management were unfriendly and made you feel like you were going to be on a dine and dash mission after they followed us out of the restaurant because they had made a mistake with the transaction. This was not a very nice experience

If you are thinking about eating here consider this your sign to book and go immediately! Tonight my husband, daughter and I visited for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! We shared a pork belly and a halloumi starter. Now when I tell you the pork belly was one of the most amazing things I've eaten that's the understatement of the century it was insanely good! The halloumi was good too but the pork belly was just sheer perfection! Having finished our starters we were excited for our main course. My husband had the full rack of ribs and sweet potato fries, I had the half rack of ribs and truffle and parmigiana chips and my daughter had the popcorn chicken and chips (apologies for the half eaten meals pics for the mains but it looked so good we tucked in straight away!). The meat melted off the ribs and tasted soooooo good. My daughter and I finally finished off sharing a sticky toffee pudding and ice cream which was also divine. We've decided that this will now be our go to for any birthday or big celebration! It's more expensive than your every day pub dinner but the food is of a completely different standard way above that of a pub and honestly was worth every single penny! Note to the chef thank you so much for the fantastic food! To the wonderful waitress who kindly poured my daughters lemonade in a gin glass with ice, Strawberries and lemon so it looked like my gin you are a gem. You were so kind and welcoming and are a credit to the restaurant. Heavens kitchen it was an absolute pleasure 🙏🏼 thank you so much and I look forward to our next visit already! Notes for anyone visiting - they have tables outside the back (which have umbrellas to provide shade) as well as inside. There isn't much off road parking opposite but there are plenty of car parks within a short walking distance of the restaurant. The staff were super accommodating for my 8 year old daughter and the kids Menu consists of 4 main options and puddings so plenty of choice although the starters or sides would also work if you wanted to create something different!

When we moved to Alton, Heavens Kitchen was on everyone's recommendation list, it didn't disappoint. A great Sunday roast, can't wait to come back and try the weekly offering. They also do BOGOF steaks on Tuesdays!

My daughter and I dined here on a recent trip to Alton. This was the only restaurant open that wasn't a takeaway that we could find. So, we had no choice but to go in. We were very glad we did! From the welcome to paying the bill, the service was topnotch! The food was delicious in ample portions. I am unlikely to be in Alton again, but if I am, I shall look forward to dining here again.

Ordered the rib eye steak, was really good! Service was attentive and gave good recommendations on what to order.

Lovely atmosphere , chef welcomes you if server not about . Food plentiful and tasty , had the three course Sunday lunch had to take my pud home as full tummy . Definitely give it a go , we travel up from Eastleigh and been now four times .

Food was excellent, steak, chips, sauces and vegetables. Good cocktails. Ate early on New Years, menu was a set menu so will visit when this isnt the case. Wasnt much of an atmosphere for New Years and although all tables were not occupied those that were we seemed squashed in. Would definately eat here again though. Star off for service as asked if we wanted sauces but we never got them.

One of the best steak burgers I ever had and one of the best steaks my better half have had! Great people and great atmosphere. Can't find good enough words to recommend this place. 5 stars also for amazing service of Migjena - she was looking after our table and Nick - he was looking after our great food❤️

Fantastic experience here, we were almost half an hour late for our booking yet we were greeted with a warm welcome. The food was fantastic for the whole family, meaty mac, burgers and chicken all spot on and the staff where all very good with the kids, especially the waitress, which made our dining experience relaxed not worrying about boisterous kids disturbing others. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area, have found a little gem here, keep up the good work!

Not Mediterranean by way of flavour , mash potatoes was watery even though service was very fast, the mojeto was watery and wings had a slightly burnt buffalo sauce instead of hot and spicy

Went for dinner, looked nice outside and reviews were good. Placed on a small table in a walk way upstair, so my chair moved everytime someone walked past. It was busy. Waitress quite curt but efficient. Food arrived piping hot but £20 for meaty mac n cheese a little extortionate and basically chicken and chips the same cost. That with two soft drinks and pre added service charge total £67.00. It's not London guys.

Went for Sunday food, forget the rest of the menu all they have is Sunday Roast, it was a good portion size, chef is fan of salt it would seem.. calm down dude, your feeding me not hardening my arteries. The staff were attentive and multiple times when eating came over to ask me if the food was ok (usually mid chew).. however took about 20 minutes to get someones attention when trying to pay. Not sure what upstairs is like, downstairs you'd better hope the people on the table next to you don't get there first, or you'll find out what a tight space is really like.

If I could give these place more than 5 stars I would . This was our second time to go there and it was so good we brought 2 friends who have just celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary and we done this through groupon as a treat for them and honestly we were not disappointed ☹️ our waitress was amazing 🤩 we would highly recommend and we will be going again can’t praise the service e enough food was great atmosphere brilliant and the service was impressive x

Stopped in with a colleague on a work trip, after being recommended by our customer on site, we did the 2 for 1 steak Tuesday, both went for the fillet, mine blue, his medium well, both steaks reported to be delicious and cooked very well, I'd not had a blue steak that didn't bleed on the plate before, this was tender, juicy and delicious, sides were nice aswell, and a good choice of beers on tap, really nice waitress, good vibe inside, would come back if I'm in the area again :)

Came here for my wife's birthday this evening, we were seated upstairs and were looked after by Swizel Rodriguez, who was simply lovely to us all evening. She had decorated the table with some birthday ribbons and banners and gave it all a real personal touch, almost as if being welcomed into her own home. Elsewhere the service was very good, our food & drinks came out in good time - not too fast & not too slow. We both had medium 12oz rib eye steak... The nicest flavoured steak I've had in a long time, I almost didn't want to put the peppercorn sauce on (but I love peppercorn sauce, so I did!). To finish we had desserts brought by the rest of the H.K team who sung happy birthday to my wife. An all round lovely evening at a place I can't fault. 10/10.

We had a great time at Heaven's kitchen for Sunday lunch. The food was delicious and portions were great. I had calamari to start and a lamb roast... it was divine. Our waitress Swizel was so friendly and inviting. We used a Groupon voucher which I thought was very good value for money. We would recommend.

We had a great meal for my 40th birthday and worth the money! The atmosphere and general service was fantastic along with one of the best cooked steaks I've eaten and not to mention the delicious peppercorn sauce. Will be back again.

Fantastic 💫💫💫💫💫 Great food, great service, and our server Swizzle was brilliant. When we booked we said it was our anniversary, then whe arrive a they gave us a complimentary glass of Prosecco which was really lovely. Steak was great as was the chicken burger all the sides and the starter were well sized very tasty and fresh. We loved it so much we went back the following afternoon for Cocktails and more truffle chips😋 Anytime we are back in the Alton area this will be our 1st and only venue to enjoy great food, drinks and service!!!💯

First time and last time I go to this place. We have been placed at a table where it smelled mould very badly. The food is overpriced, the waiters are chitchatting very loud about their own life in front of customers, the food is average, not much of the food is home made… very disappointing experience and really regret to have booked a table there to celebrate my mother’s birthday.

Enjoyable lunch with family. Varied menu with something for everyone. Service was good. Lovely outside patio that welcomes dogs, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible through this rear entrance.

Charlene the manager on duty needs some serious training in customer service! Not only did I see her on Google throughout our visit her general management skills were seriously lacking! The boast on social media about the best steak in Surrey and Hampshire should be removed! Cote doesn’t just only beat you they completely trash you. Two medium rare came out rare and medium. Service in full swing was a disappointment and that’s being polite. The spinach and filo parcel was well past its sell by date! The profiteroles (2 with shed loads of canned cream) was a waste of money! (£7.50) Large wine was ordered, medium came out! I felt really sorry for our server as it wasn’t her fault! Under staffed, extremely poorly managed. The music kept turning on and off and the fact we were under the speaker, meant it was really annoying. Wouldn’t go back! Save your hard earned money peeps

Well what a fantastic surprise, went here for dinner on Saturday was blown away with choice, I opted for the Homemade Meaty Macaroni it’s an absolutely amazing dish, we returned for Sunday dinner and we were not disappointed. It’s definitely the place to go. I was also pleasantly surprised it’s pet friendly. Thank you

Swizel made our night, she had such a positive vibe and energy about her, making jokes and giving us honest recommendations about the food. She clearly had amazing menu knowledge and is a HUGE addition to your wait team. Not only was she the only waitress serving last night, she was also having to train another member of staff, juggling multiple tables whilst still maintaining a good rapport with them all is no easy feat but she made it look easy. Hats off to you, swizel. The steaks are simply out of this world. Never have I ever had a steak as juicy and as flavoursome as the pichana 10oz sirloin steak and I’ve been to many a steakhouses. Cocktails are great, strong yet tasty, we had 2 daquaris; passionfruit and strawberry. My only negative comment on this restaurant is about the manager, she seemed quite moody and didn’t have the same positive energy that swizel did. Although I did try to commend swizel to the manager, she brushed me off and didn’t really give me the time of day which I thought was a huge shame. We came here for my birthday, were offered 2 free glasses of processco, which swizel was delighted to bring us, and a 2-4-1 deal on the desserts (which we had to decline due to being so unbelievably full from the mains)

Where do I start I’ve just finished one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had . The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Swizel our waitress was just lovely, extremely attentive and kept us smiling all through the meal. My daughter has a severe egg allergy and the chef and Swivel took extra care reassuring her that everything had been checked. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff here. Highly recommended!!!!

On a long drive and needed to eat. Found this restaurant and was so pleased we did. The waitress Swizel was lovely and attentive. The food was prompt, plentiful and delicious was a lovely find.

had a take away from Alton H/K and I have to say since my first experience here it has changed my expectation expodentially lovely food and the risotto was spot on (partner had Mac and cheese and loved it!) pudding which was the lemon tart was also lovely with a little ice cream well done team and my compliments to the chef that was on cooking my risotto was fabulous will deffo be dining out here again :) Thanks team at H/K Charlotte

Went for my husband’s 40th. We were so well looked after, decorations on arrival and a complimentary glass of fizz. Out waitress Alex was amazing and ensured we had everything we needed. The food was stunning, I can’t say anything other than positives about our evening. Thank you x

Always top quality and delicious food. Great wine 🍷 also available. Sometimes menu items are not available however staff are proactive to point these out from the start to avoid most of the disappointment.

Visited Heaven's Kitchen on Tuesday for the first time. It was SO good We went again for a birthday celebration in Wednesday, the next night.

There's a new manager in now and she has vastly improved this restaurant from what it was previously. The menu is now quite extensive with plenty of choice and the food is superb, It's a nice touch that the head chef will wander around the tables occasionally to see if diners are enjoying their meal. I thoroughly recommend this place.
