Lovely place to go and chill out after a gym session or to bring the family for a treat. Staff are very friendly and always go above and beyond if they can… can’t fault it Charlotte, Claire, Chris and Joe always make me/us feel very welcome… great place, keep it up 👍🏻

What a shambles of a diner! Advertised that they open until 4pm on a week day, so arrived at 15:32 and was told that half the menu is only served until 15:30. How about letting your customers know this on your website, instead of letting them travel a 14 mile round trip. Management (if you can call her that), could be bothered and didn’t seem to care that there was a loss of revenue. Never more than 4 guests there most times we’ve visited on the weekends, so they must have millions £££ in reserve. Better staff with better attitudes may result in a better amount of guests and reviews.

Very average food, with poor choice for vegetarians. The place doesn't allow for dogs to stay in while having dog statues outside. The baby changing table was completely useless because of missing the safety strap.

Very poor experience. Played golf at old thorns and went there for coffee and food before. Ordered cappuccino with no chocolate and it came with choc, asked for another without chocolate, but just took a long time to re-make. The small capacino and a sausage roll was £7.60, which to me seemed absolutely ridiculous, seemingly the sausage roll is £4 based on what I could see of the price of the Coffee. I'd never have ordered if there was a price on the sausage roll, i looked and there is no price displayed! That is simply extortionate for a small sausage roll.

We stopped here for a coffee. However the smoothies caught our eyes with added protein. Absolutely delicious 😋 then the Green Tea Matcha was hot and smooth! Service was great and the place was lovely and clean. Will bring the kids next time!!

Great place to stop for coffee or a snack just 5 minutes off the A3 near Liphook.

Beautiful food, lovely staff, clean restaurant and a lovely afternoon spent hanging out here! We will be back soon. Also highly recommend asking the staff for personal recommendations. We were so happy with ours today! Wimbledon and Canadian SMALL waffles were huge portions and well priced. Thanks Oties

Use this cafe if you’re stranded or desperate! The food is appalling; junk food and often badly prepared. The coffee is the worst you’d ever taste! The service is slow, indifferent of customers waiting, and they even stop serving 1 hour before closing to clean up… The pits!

Take-Away options available for food and drinks, also a fab selection of ice creams including the Biscoff and Cookie Dough! Fresh coffee with alternative milk options and syrups. Fresh cakes and pastries from the counter with sandwiches and toasties at the front counter. Definitely will be coming back soon.

The selection of ice creams were poor. They had no ice cream cones. The lady serving behind the till was rude and said in a loud voice ‘we are going to close now’ when I asked why they were closing earlier then normal she abruptly replied ‘we are short staffed and we are not even supposed to be here’ her attitude was shocking. There were three of them behind the counter and the cafe was fairly quiet. I won’t be returning any time soon.

Food , overpriced and service with what felt like a underlying feeling of the customer being an annoyance. Our 1st visit was marred by them ( Oties) closing early on the Friday (1625) when advertised as open til 1700 . Return on the Sunday ,wanted to try & see what Oties was like , From standing at the counter we were made as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit, told they were only serving takeout ( obviously trying to get a jump on cleaning down ) . Wasn’t given my card receipt when I paid , only when I returned to query the amount, then the saga really went south, a catalogue of errors a trio of managers and the same amount of excuses/ lies given . All told it comes down to the fact that Oties isn’t worth the money . This review is only for Oties ( Old Thorns is a great venue - in my opinion)

Absolutely wonderful, and I would suggest that anyone who has had a bad experience try again!

Ordered coffee and who I can only assume was the manager put my coffee on the tray with nothing but a dirty look and continued to ask her team member what she wanted to do... No thank you, no acknowledgement, nothing. Ordered 1 kids waffle and 1 adult pancakes... What arrived was 2 cold pancakes. Considering the judgemental looks and unpleasant service from the manager I didn't complain but I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this place.

The atmosphere was nice, but the food was frozen. I was disappointed and was told good things, maybe it was just one off, maybe I'll come back another day try my luck again

Stopped for a quick coffee and a milkshake for the kids while waiting for the driving range. Milkshakes were good although the team did seem a bit flustered and disorganised, but wasn’t really very busy. Not very welcoming server…. When ordering the coffee we were asked large or regular ?…. Ordered regular…… got less than half a cup of coffee. Poor and expensive

Absolutely awful! First (and last visit) to this place. Told the dishwasher was broken so we’d be served our waffles out of a takeaway container. We were also given a wooden knife and fork. Two cold, dry and undercooked waffles with one tiny scoop of ice cream and a tablespoon of whipped cream. A few crumbs of chocolate. What looked like one squirt of chocolate sauce. This cost me £15.90 for two. One of the workers was moaning loudly how she couldn’t wait to finish work and get out of there. No wonder the place was empty. Avoid!

I visit old thorns gym / Oties 5 x a week and on every occasion I am always welcomed with a smile and exceptional service. Always remembering my drinks, fast service and cafe is alway clean and tables cleared ! Thank you ! X

Decided to go for lunch with the family. The manager was rude, cost us £50. The pancakes were cold, looked undercooked, the bacon was not even crispy. Definitely not Canadian style. No atmosphere and definitely not worth the price. Bacon should be streaky and crispy.
