Frankie & Benny's Eldon Square in Newcastle upon Tyne

Popped in for tea. Food came quickly, service was lovely. Friendly staff who were attentive and cheerful. Food was well priced and tasty.

Been to this Frankie and Bennys previously but feel it has gone down hill quite a lot Not the cheapest either so you would expect more Had the beef wrap which was very poor hardly any beef and the wrap was so dry it was inedible Definitely will not return

My favourite place to go! Whenever I visit my long distance boyfriend in Newcastle we come here at least once. It’s one of the few places that has a variety of food I can eat. This time I took my children and they even had vegan pepperoni pizza which was perfect for my vegetarian child. Service was fantastic and the young lad serving couldn’t do enough for us. Perfect dining out experience!

When my son was younger Frankie and Bennys was always a safe bet for a cheap and cheerful meal that was good quality and had good service. So last Wednesday we were walking through grey quarter and saw a frankie and Benny's and thought we would give it a go. However, we were left disappointed, quality of food poor, some portion sizes were poor and service was non- existent once it got a bit busier. We won't be returning.

, I ordered spaghetti bolognese and it was the worst thing I could order my spaghetti was not done and for what I paid was not with it half done pasta with pasta sauce and a tiny bit of cheese was not worth its money

Food was cold asked for again and still cold Lights flickering as bulbs where on way out No atmosphere No customer service Not very clean

Called for lunch with the family. The service was slow and the food was average. Ordered a burger and this came with a handful of fries. I would best describe it as bland and tasteless for the price. The rest of the family ordered chicken strips and pasta. Again, nothing special. The bill came to over £34 for a main, a side and a kids meal. Would I return? Probably not.

I cannot fault the place, from the friendly team to the stunning food and the short wait times too. We were served by Jordan who was great, nothing was too much, very friendly and polite. We will definitely be back.

After being let down with another venue we managed to get a table here. The restaurant wasn’t busy but then again it was getting close to closing time. Food was okay - nothing special but then again beggars can’t be choosers. Staff were very friendly though.

¡Tuvimos una comida deliciosa aquí el otro día! Los macarrones con queso y la pizza eran preciosos y mi novio realmente disfrutó de la hamburguesa vegetariana (incluso si robé toda la lechuga con mi bocado). Sin embargo, las papas fritas con queso cajún fueron definitivamente lo más destacado. Teníamos una encantadora camarera con largo cabello rubio, no entendí su nombre, pero hizo que la experiencia fuera aún más encantadora :)
