A pop-up tea room in Seton Mains near Longniddry, Frangipane presents very carefully made and presented savouries and cakes - including finger sandwiches (inventive and traditional), occasionally a little soup taster, and delightful cakes, scones and other sweet things, served on several varieties of fine china and old-fashioned layered cake stands in a lovely home environment. Traditional, reliable, a spotlessly clean and really charming setting, no cream tea outside a famous Yorkshire establishment will give this a challenge. Also hilariously good value.
