Got the pollo inferno pizza was delicious. Staff are friendly and inviting making sure my pizza was made to my level of spiciness. Couldn't recommend more.

Got fish and chips tonight ... So disappointing ...not what I expect from Francios ...fish definitely not fresh ...tried hard to beat but after after 2 mouthfuls ...had to bin it ...so disappointing and cost £12 too .....makes me think twice about next visit .....D

What has happened to Franco's? I used to be a regular customer, they always served lovely crisp fish and chips. Tonight's experience was dreadful. I ordered a single fish which was very small, covered in undercooked soggy batter. I will not be returning. £9.50 for what I received? You must be joking.

Honestly, I have little idea at the quality of food here, since they pay no attention to their own advertised opening hours. Twice now I've tried to go there at times advertised as open on their website only to find the place completely closed.

Right Francos I gave u a second chance and I’m absolutely bloody disappointed. I came with ma burd and bairn and a greasy old hag served me moldy chips and juice, on the can it said “multipack not sold separately” and it was bloody £5.50 for that. Bloody cheapskates like, never going here EVER again.

Picked up a large(!) portion of chips and a spicy sausage this evening. It was the smallest ‘large’ portion of chips I’ve ever seen. In addition, they were soggy and lots of little bits rather than nice size chips. Is Franco’s under new management I wonder as it was pretty poor. Won’t go there again; will stick to the Gold Sea on Ferry Road - much nicer and far better value!

The fish and chip was pish and the pizza looked like it done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. The battered sausage was hard. Never going here again

Just got a mine pie supper, and the mince pie was days old. I should never have sold this! I am planning on reporting this to the environmental health, absolutely disgusting !!!

Usually the food here is pretty however it has fallen off the cliff recently. Made an order last night and was very surprised when I opened the box and found a burned pizza.

I ordered an online delivery from Franco's at 18:50, it's now 20:30 and still not delivered. I've been a client of Franco's for more than 10yrs but have noticed a steady decline in their service in recent years so assuming they have more orders of than they can cope with, Ill help to resolve their situation by by walking to away and will not be placing any further orders. Franco's you know this is not the first time that your customer service has been abismal.

Waited over 2 hours for delivery, food was almost warm, chips were cold, pizzas were burnt. Phoned three times to chase it up and each time told it’s on its way. do not order if you want to eat at a reasonable time and get anything close to decent food

We're utterly and absolutely disappointed with the fish and chips my husband has just been and got us. Revolting, the worst we've ever had. Don't get fish and chips from Franco's I've put a fish pie in the oven. So bad we've binned them . Franco's of Stockbridge you are shameful 😡😡

Franco's is honestly one of the best takeaways in Edinburgh. So far, every meal I've gotten from them has been fantastic - pizza, fish and chips, pasta, etc. They even made a kapsalon for me, a special kebab dish invented in Rotterdam made with a layer of chips, a layer of cheese, a layer of doner meat and a layer of salad. Ask for it! Prices are also very reasonable at Franco's.

Very poor delivery service. 2 Pizzas took 1hr 30 mins to arrive. I live a 6 minutes drive away...pizzas arrived cold. No apology given from both the staff or driver. Disappointed as the pizza tastes good.

Absolutely the best pizza in town. Highly recommend it. Its the real deal. Original, authentic pizza made by Italians. Cant get any better. Will be seeing more from me.

Food here is usually brilliant and I think the chefs are great. However, a man on the phone has the worst Customer Service during problems ever. Very rude and dismissive of any issues and when asked for a refund and to cancel the order (which had not yet arrived) I was told it's not a big deal and hung up on. I think that's ridiculous customer service and his attitude has put me off ordering from there again.

He usado este chippy durante años, y cuando los viejos dueños lo tuvieron (padre e hijo) fue fantástico. Durante el tiempo en que los propietarios de las corrientes tuvieron el chippy, en realidad no ha sido nada malo. Las pizzas eran geniales.Avance rápido hasta esta noche 10/01/20. Pedimos nuestra pizza habitual y palitos de mozzarella. Primero llega media hora después de la ETA, luego descubrimos que la pizza estaba quemada. Así que naturalmente llamé al chippy, quien afirmó que no estaba quemado. Dije que lo retiraría yo mismo, ya que claramente no me creía, a lo que dice que hará otro y luego colgó (toda la razón por la que ordenamos en línea es porque tengo una condición, por lo que no siempre puedo caminar dolor), sin darme la oportunidad de decir que no quiero otro. Nigh on an hour late for delivery, and no sign of the food, no phone call. We have kids as well so they are less than understanding about a delay like this. Avoid like the plague.

Después de haber usado Franco's durante más de 30 años, la calidad siempre fue buena, ¡pero últimamente después de recibir las cenas literalmente a 5 minutos en auto! ¡la calidad ha empeorado constantemente! ¡Esta noche (mi regalo de cumpleaños) pedimos cenas de pescado para la entrega! ¡Pescado congelado con sabor poco cocido y sin sabor y lo que solo se puede describir como pequeños trozos duros de papas frías quemadas! ! ¡De ninguna manera vale la pena el precio de la comida! No estoy exagerando lo malo que es este lugar, y nunca volveré aquí de nuevo! ¡Voy a llamar al gerente o iré a la papilla ya que honestamente esa comida era despreciable! ¡Y normalmente nunca me quejo ni escribo críticas!

Aparecimos aquí para almorzar camino a los jardines botánicos. No hay mucha comida lista 1 pastel 1 hamburguesa 2 salchichas y rebanadas de pizza. Mi marido tomó hamburguesas y un rollo con mantequilla salí sin nada. Dijo que los rollos parecían los de ayer junto con la hamburguesa. Espero que esto no sea lo que esperan que coman los niños de la escuela. No me impresionó.

Fui una noche y el lugar estaba muy tranquilo. A pesar de esto, el pescado y las patatas fritas eran muy secos y muy pobres. No pedimos sal, pero las papas estaban especialmente saladas. El pescado en sí era muy blando, no pudimos terminarlo. También tenga en cuenta que la salsa Tartare está preempaquetada y como resultado carece de sabor. En definitiva, no volveré.

Good place to stop for a quick food.. Tasty and very good customer service. Highly recommended. Francos never let me down.. Briliant pizza.. Great burgers.. Good prices.

Not to pricey, somewhere to sit down and service with a smile. Proper cutlery and decent sized portions too if I remember rightly.

We only go there for fish and chips when in the area and it is one of the best I've had in years. Maybe they are trying to cater for too many tastes hence the indifferent reviews but the basic 'chippie' food is fine.

My boyfriend just got home from collecting chips and a pizza. Got settled and opened the pizza box only to stare back at an unsightly burnt 12” pizza. black bottom and black cheese, tasted of pure burnt. Guys not being funny but that’s disgusting, Francos used to be hands down probably the best chippy in Edinburgh and it’s being ruined. Even the sauce was rank on the chips, no wonder you gave us 4 free pickled “by mistake” even they looked like they’d be half eaten!!! Absolutely gutted and raging that my favourite chippy is no longer what it used to be. Feel sorry for Mr Franco and Vinny that loved and cared for this shop

Nice staff, affordable price, horrible fish. Legitimately the fish tasted like cardboard. I'm certain the fish had been in the re-heater for about a week. I didn't try them, but the pizzas looked pretty good, so if at a loose end and ordering, I'd play it safe and go for a zar.

Order from here all the time - pizza is great value for money and the staff always really friendly. Arrives quick and hot.

I used to eat from here all the time. It used to be good but somehow it's rapidly went downhill since sold to another group. Fish doesn't appear fresh. I've been a few times since sold but last time I went in at 11.25pm on a Saturday (They are supposed to be open till midnight) they only had a couple dried out white puddings left and refused to cook up anything. They said they were closing! Before the owner cooked fresh and stayed open till midnight and had great customer service. They would clean up after midnight where this lot seem to clean up and get out the door 1 minute after midnight. The chips are over cooked and their suppers are terrible.

My son and I got take away which we picked up , bought 2 Doner Kebabs and a portion of chips. I will give the pale sloppy kebab a 3 out of 10 ! The chips I would have thrown in the bin had I not been so hungry. Can’t really say it was a portion of chips as it was mostly scratchings and refried at that ! Save your money and go anywhere but here !!

In my opinion this establishment serves consistently good fish and chips - my regular 'go-to' for a traditional carry out (usually use it once a week). Excellent service with cheery staff.

Almost 2 hours for a pizza that is more expensive than a dominos. Just go to dominos. Tastes fine but not worth the wait.

I have eaten many a white pudding in my time, and enjoyed them all, but Francos version was so bad that it defies adequate description. Hard on the outside, greasy on the inside, totally overcooked and inedible. The haggis was marginally better but equally poor. The fish and chips were OK but chips soggy. Come on Franco you could do a great deal better.
