fantastic canal side pub, with tables alongside the canal. Good menu whether you wanted a full blown three courses or just a sandwich.

Perfect canal side pub. Called in on very rainy day and decided to stay for lunch. Great old fashioned atmosphere with pleasant staff. Apparently under new management only 1 week since taking over. Bit of hiccup as only accepting cash because card payment not up and running. As we had no cash on us the young lady on the bar very helpfully directed us to nearest cash machine which was about 1 mile away. I stayed in pub whilst my husband drove to Co op in village for cash. The bar maid offered me a drink while I waited and opened a tab for us. My husband ordered meatballs in tomato sauce from specials menu and I ordered the Brie, Bacon and Cranberry Nigella seed panini with salad and chips. Both with truly delicious although too much arge portions for us, with 2 lagers & half pint bitter all under £25 excellent value. Will definitely return hopefully for walk along canal side. Would like to wish new management all the best for the future.

We enjoyed our meals, two had the lamb shanks, they thought it could have done with more veg. one had fish & chips, which they enjoyed. One had lasagna which the really enjoyed and gave it a 5* I had ham, egg & chips, my only complaint was the peas were a bit hard. The service was good, the food didn't take long to be served. The room where we were seated was a bit cold which was a shame.
