Very attractive pub with narrow boat motifs throughout, nice to sit outside by the canal on a fine day.

The food is great and staff friendly and it's a dog friendly place excellent in the summer with a log fire in the winter

We have visited here a couple of times whilst passing through and always been impressed with the food and service until this time. The Sunday dinner was very average. One slice of beef and bland watery vegetables. Pigs in blanket was a joke £2.50 for a sausage wrapped in bacon cut in 4. The starters were ok, frozen deep fried calamari and wings. Deserts were definitely the best part of the meal but again service was poor as they had taken them down incorrectly. The pub wasn’t busy so no excuses. It’s a shame that it’s gone downhill. Hopefully they just had an off day. The dog dinner did get a paws up from our fur baby though. Also they over charged us and she contacted promised to call us when back at work still waiting so double check your bills. Gareth has now contacted me and refunded the monies plus a bit extra. Thank you.

Lovely very welcoming pub in a wonderful setting. The menu wasn't as varied as we would like. Only curry was vegetarian with no option to add chicken. No mixed grill. No pie either. I had pork ribs that were obviously from a packet and not very hot. Coleslaw was served in a paper container not very professional. Fish (pepper cod) and chips did look amazing though.

Called in for lunch on a Monday. Dog friendly inside and good meal choices, including vegetarian options. I had veggie chilli and my husband had a burger. Both excellent meals and can recommend.

Had visitors staying and decided to take them to The Swan (also affectionately known as The Mucky Duck) due to the lovely setting at the junction of the canals, with narrow boats passing through the locks and past the pub. The pub is a listed building, and a traditional canal side venue, with many rooms on different levels, not surprisingly displaying canal memorabilia. A good selection of well kept beers, and food is available. The service was good, and staff were very friendly. We sat outside at the tables overlooking the canal with the warm sun, a nice beer, and a great view. Note there is a narrow road which passes between the pub and the canal, so the occasional car may go past. Well worth a visit.

Love this pub me and my cousin went here but sadly he died now some nice memories here with my cousin beer was nice love the canals food was delicious

Sep 24. Didn't really enjoy the ribs. The sauce had a taste to it that reminded me of powdered tomato soup you get in a mugshot. The lasagne was 'ok' but nothing special. The Biscoff Sundae was excellent (all out of a tub or packet, I guess?). Nice canal side spot. Staff were nice.

Disgusting attitude from barmaid!!!!! Me and my partner visited for some food during a sunny weekday. My partner had visited before, therefore she knew what she wanted from the menu and I chose whilst at the bar awaiting service. Due to this we had not chosen a table or had a table number, granted this is what's required on order. We stated to the tall young blonde barmaid, to situate us on any outside table at all (as they were all unoccupied) the barmaid then proceeded to be extremely rude stating "I asked you for a table number" and "I am not going outside to look on my own". Nevertheless, I went to look for a table number quickly and came back with one. As my partner went to tap her card, the extremely rude bar maid proceeded to make the sly comment "smile" to my partner. I could not believe she had said this in the manner she did, which was quite passive aggressive. Due to the fact the barmaid not knowing at all my partner and making this comment was beyond me. Something may of taken place in personal lives or a tragic event may of happened recently, and the barmaid proceeded to say "smile" the way she did was disgusting. Granted, the food was lovely but that barmaid needs to have an attitude check the way she spoke to my partner today. I shall not be recommending this place to eat and not returning here due to the rudeness from the barmaid. I recommend the manager ensures employees attitude towards customers improves.

Called in for a drink after a ride ....had a portion of cheesey chips well nice ....have a had pie before which was also very nice

Great location on the canal, was busy as it was bank holiday but service was efficient and food good. One of those places not to be missed. Good location for a walk to or from.

Absolutely terrible experience definitely wouldn't recommend for families staff of very rude and poor quality food

Only had a coffee outside on this occasion but the waitress was very helpful when I enquired about the food menu. Lovely atmosphere inside. Will definitely be coming again.

Great bike nights Wednesday nights

A Gem of a place. Go there regularly on the motorbike at weekends, great chilled atmosphere and always other bikers there to chat all things bike. Ale is ace, reasonably priced and the good looks/smells amazing. Love it.

It's ok, could do with a makeover, it feels tired and feels like a good clean would make it feel more inviting.

Pleasant traditional pub. Great staff. Ordered 2 burgers, which were great. Had the Crab with Salad. Bit disappointed - salad was past it's best and consisted of big pieces of lettuce with a lot of stalk and not much else. Very poor. Everything else was good but don't order the salad.

Popped it New years day for a couple pints and some nibbles. First time we have been back for quite a while as we moved out of Fradley for a few years.. and it didn't disappoint! Some lovely beers on tap that's for sure! It's a dog friendly pub too which is a bonus! We live back in the village now and will be making a few more regular visits that's for sure!

Beautiful pub which dates to the 17th century as a listed building. I love the amount of seats outside right next to the canal to bird watch too. One of the ribs someone ordered came out cold but they fixed it straight away and our waitress was super friendly and nice :) will be back

Lots of seating inside the pub and outside with a beautiful view of the canal. Food was absolutely delicious and service was great.

Booked in for a meal on a Saturday night we ordered our drinks shown to table we ordered two overpriced sirloin steaks came with oven chips garden peas half grilled tomato steak was smothered in greasy onions was not asked if food was ok or asked if we wanted desserts will not be returning

Lovely evening meal after a day on the canal served by lovely girl who was very pleasant and helpful.

Only had some beers but great location in the sun next to the canal. Would highly recommend. Also good choice of alcohol and array of food. Will definitely be back.

Great traditional pub in nice location, food OK.

Went in about 4pm to the public bar. The cook was sat at a table chatting to the bar maid. There were 7 customers in the bar. I ordered lasagna which came with chips and garlic bread. The chips had been cooked within an inch of their life and were very dark. Most were just crisp where they had been over cooked. The lasagna was very dry and the top was hard in places. No atmosphere in bar. No background music and most of the customers on their phones. No thanks awful

The swan aka the Mucky duck to the cognoscenti 😉 has always been the place to go. This area has been regenerated and is now hopping!! A real good spot for walks and refreshments. Gorgeous canal atmosphere 🤩

Only had drinks but can't knock the service, first class. The setting is absolutely perfect. It was a beautiful day when I was there. Sat outside, plenty of space and overlooking the locks. The afternoon couldn't have been nicer, very tranquil and relaxing. A great place to unwind, enjoy a drink and let the world go by.

Went to meet up with some other bikers. First time down there. Nice location, quaint little bar, nice outdoor seating and plenty of parking. Very much enjoyed my chicken burger.

I visit to play music. It's a characterful place by the side of the canal with good car parking. I've never eaten there but the good looks nice.

Been coming here by boat for nearly 40 years. Rarely eat here but food looks a right plateful and I overhear good comments. Beer always good. Winter hours closed mondays. Just be aware if you use the car park if you are walking or dining elsewhere nearby. There will be a charge but not for genuine Swan customers. For too many years drivers just think they can park without patronising the pub. I'm now back testing beer. Brill as usual. Back to Summer hours as of next Monday.

Great canalside pub. We always love popping in when we're that way. Always nice when you get to the bar and they've already poured your drinks. Food is top notch, and a good gluten-free offering.

Have not been here for 30 yrs as moved to Kent. Great food, service and as friendly as I remember. Beautiful Fradley junction canal. Highly recommended

Lovely food and staff were lovely and attentive just was a bit loud due to tanked up regulars who did apologise but carried on being Loud! We have been in again and still enjoyed it... regulars were still there but slightly less Loud lol xx we'll see you again very soon xx

A really pleasant place tucked away down the towpath at the junction of the Trent and Mersey and the Coventry canals. Lovely location, very nice food.

Situated on a canal junction, perfect place to while away a couple of hours watching the boats go by.

Nice for a drink in the middle of a canal walk. We've never yet had time to sample the food. Atmosphere is great. Good selection of beers and great service every time.

After a good walk we enjoyed a hearty meal with a pint. Reasonably priced.

Fantastic meal, great beers and friendly accommodating staff. A lovely place to relax for a few hours during the cold evenings.

Great looking pub but Guinness was terrible. It's my favourite tipple and all I drink. Tasted like chemicals. Maybe line cleaner? Shame because we wanted to make this part of our regular walk.

Great night out fantastic setting

Stopped here mid week in September for a quick drink while on a bike ride. Unfriendly welcome from two young women who didn't look like they wanted to be there. The Moretti I had was off (tasted like vinegar) and the rocky road was so thick with hard cooking chocolate not much else to it. Not good. I wouldn't bother going back. Only nice thing about it was the other customers and the beer garden

Didn't had good food. But the pork scratchings were good. Only issue was on a Wednesday evening couldn't sit and have a quiet pint/glass of wine as the bike gang insisted on reving their engines as they entered the car park.

Very expensive £12.95 for nut roast,half a carrot half of a small parsnip some swede puree, cabbage and 4 roast potatoes and gravy. Came out still hungry. Sorry, but the portions need to be more substantial for that money. In saying all that, it was tasty and well presented also the staff were very good.

Nice food, great beers. Food finishes early on Sunday so had to go back Monday before we left Fradley Junction.

Visited 3 times whilst staying in the area. Lovely pub serving great food in a friendly environment, outdoor space and a lovely cellar restaurant area. Generous portions and food came in a reasonable time even when busy. Staff are incredibly friendly. Craig was a joy to chat to.

Great place to sit outside by the canal, lots of outdoor seating at the front and back of the pub. We enjoyed a lovely meal inside, pub was very busy but the food came out relatively quickly. Staff lovely too.

My mom and dad have been visiting here for 30 years,they love going back and the location and service are brilliant,can get busy but plenty of outdoor table's,can't fault it
