We ordered a family meal from here. My sister ordered the food on the phone. Whoever it was on the phone just shouldn't be dealing with customers if they are speaking to people like that. Absolute disgusting arrogance. I can only comment on what I ate obviously but ot was the worst kebab I've ever had. I barely touched it and my family were shocked because I'm not one for wasting food, but it was vile. The presentation was terrible, you know, like when you get a mcdonalds and it looks like they thrown the box across the kitchen. The chicken in the kebab was debatable. It wasn't a cooked texture and had thick black burnt bits on the outside. The container of fries was a joke, probably a third of what you would get from any other place in the area. A joke for the price. To sum up, if you're after a kebab then Spring Naan is 5 minutes drive from this gaff, so go there and get nice service and an elite kebab.

Omg the food in here was unbelievable, I'm blown away to be honest. The veggie platter was delicious the jalapeno and cheese samosa 10/10, this place is a special place to eat. Can't praise it enough

Absolutely stunning food, can’t believe I waited so long to pop in. Everything was delicious, particularly the tandoori chicken samosas and the butter chicken khati roll. Terrific value for money as well. Can’t wait to visit again, the brownies on the counter looked insane too, I’ll be back for one of those!

We arrived at Fozias around 5pm. We were welcomed by the owner straight away and offered drinks by a lovely waitress straight after. We didn't wait long for the orders to be taken. The staff made fuss of our children which was lovely. Food arrived 20 minutes later and was out of this world. Lamb chops flavoursome and cooked to perfection. 3 different types of curry- hard to choose which one was the best, all amazing. The place was warm with lovely, relaxing background music. As it was my birthday, I wanted to feel relaxed and looked after and I certainly was. Thank you Fozia for having us.

Just everything could not be faulted. We rocked up a group of about 16 on an off chance for lunch on a Sunday and Fozia and the team were amazing. The atmosphere, the food, the service, the drinks. Everything. Wish I'd had room for dessert as it was home made. We already have plans to go back on Thursday. Highly highly recommend.

Wow! The cheesy samosas.... I have to say they are the best and pomegranate salad really tickled my taste buds, just kept asking for more. Didn't have to wait long and the food was served in good time. Lovely atmosphere and welcoming. Thanks guys for taking care of us. Loved it!!!

Staff miserable and unhelpful. Food quality was so poor. Asked for suggestions and it was “whatever u like”.. said they still had everything from breakfast menu around 2ish..so we ordered a breakfast thali alongside a dish from the main menu .. the food was cold, dry and paratha was burnt as in black burnt and again dry .. main wasn’t all that either .. you can’t complain to staff as she disappeared into the kitchen and didn’t surface till it was time to pay the bill. I did email the owner upon leaving the restaurant allowing her the opportunity to look into her staff n food but no reply was forthcoming. I personally would not visit here again

Staff not welcoming. Upon entering, the guy at the counter asked "are you ok?", then rudely pointed to a take a seat. The table was clearly dirty. I have to ask him to clean it. He took the order and told us to take the cutlery from the trolley (which was in the corner of the room). The waitress brought the starters; no smile whatsoever. Then she grabbed 2 knives and 2 forks from the cutlery trolley and slammed it on our table. I cannot believe how unprofessional the staff was. The food came; samosa and kebab roll were ok in taste but awful in presentation. The kebab roll was not even rolled, they simply placed the kebab on a mini paratha and placed in front of us. The chicken curry was cold and tasteless. The naans were partially uncooked with raw dough clearly seen, and had black marks on them which were due to uncleaned pan on which they cooked them. Seriously disappointed!!!

A friendly, relaxed place to eat some home cooked, authentic food! I tried the lamb chops, butter chicken and samosas, and all were incredible!!

Hi All Gourmets around Liverpool and Wirral!!!We have just discovered an excellent place to have the most delicious Kashmiri and Indian cuisines in an authentic and warm atmosphere: Fozia’s at 155 Picton Rd, Liverpool L15 4LG. We had lamb processed in a copper bowl with a mesmerising mixture of curry sauce, and two types of bread, garlic naan and plain paratha. At the end we had normal and pink chai that had a great taste and aroma. Besides, the staff was very friendly, and service was so fast. The last but not least, the price was very reasonable. Mates, hurry up, do not miss those extra ordinary dishes. I can’t wait for the next opportunity to eat at Fozia’s. E N J O Y

Like all the better Indian Restaurants, this place serves no alcohol and is frequented by the local Indian community. Excellent food, recommended.

MaShaAllah MaShaAllah, what a lovely little establishment. From the service staff to the food and desserts. This place is a hidden gem. Truly, traditional 'home style' food not the watered-down version devoid of any spice and flavour. If you're looking for home food away from home this is the go-to place. The home baked desserts are on another level!!! Good job this place is in Liverpool otherwise I'd be there for the Cherry Bakewell daily🙈🙈🙈 The staff were kind and patient with young children and made us feel at home. Well done all around!!!

We had parents visiting so took them for a nice meal. We’d seen great reviews of this place. We called ahead to book and arrived early on a Saturday eve at 5:30pm. It was pretty empty accept 2 other tables. When someone finally saw to us, they were not friendly and just gestured sombrely to an empty table (which was dirty, even though we were expected to arrive having booked). She took our drink order, but it then took literally 30 minutes to receive anything. She seemed to spend about 10 mins polishing the glasses for our lemonade jug before finally meandering over. They were clearly short staffed, there was only 2 young women (1 in the kitchen & one serving). The one on the till, really took her time & didn’t seem to care at all that people were waiting. All 3 tables waited at least 40 mins for their food. Mad when simple street food should be mostly already pre-prepared. 2 more couples came in and no one greeted them at all. They just stood there for ages, it was painful to watch. The atmosphere was chilly and awkward. The background jazz music was barely audible next to what felt like the sound of tumbleweed. We felt like a burden having anything other than just a main course. The food (when it finally came) was very nice but nothing spectacular, it was cheap & cheerful no frills street food which was fine. We would have been happy with the food if the staff were not so unhelpful. We didn’t feel that welcome at all. Clearly the food is literally the only thing going for this place. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re in a rush. In response to your reply below, 1) A previous event is not our problem - you should be staffed accordingly. 2) you didn’t have a “large booking before us, it was a table of 6 blokes. A large booking is 10-20 people. 3) having worked in hospitality for many years myself, I know what pressure feels like and all you need do is smile and warn people that you are behind. And wipe the table for them. It’s NEVER the customer’s fault if you feel stressed. Ever. Cooking the food fresh is great, no apology required obviously! But leaving them hanging without informing them or even a drink to get on with for over half hour & having a face like a slapped arse - unacceptable.

Been meaning to visit since someone told me about the Lodge Lane place. Finally got to Picton Road this evening and got two curries, chicken and lamb. Exceptional food. The keema naan was a belter as well. New customer who will return. Forza Fozia.

This is the best place for desi food in Liverpool. We tried different things and although recipes are customized by the owner to taste like very homely food we all including Kids loved it. Price efficient as sometimes portions are generous enough to share between one adult and one kid. It’s a family run business so you get a feel of community harmony as well as I’ve seen people from many cultures dining in! We already tried it twice and would love to come back. Small suggestions: 1. May be need an extra pair of hands to keep running things smoothly. 2. The behind the counter sink/desk would increase your ambience if it’s tidied up a bit. 3. The cups for Karak are hard to hold because it’s hot and the grip is tiny - may be use customized mug with a big handle and ‘Fozia’ embossed on the side! It’s

Fozia made 120 samosas for our daughters christening party and they went down a treat with our guests. We had half lamb and half veg. They were so delicious thank you so much - highly recommend!!

Orderered takeaway and paid, then to be told one item not available...no probs I then got to my destination 4mins driving. Opened our food only to find the both curries were barely warm in temperature, after reading several reviews thought give it a try. Dissapointed when your hungry and so looking forward to eating, cold curry not tasty or appealing. Person who handed food couldn't be bothered. Folowing on from your reply. I ordered food when I arrived at the shop and waited 20 mins in shop. How can I be 15 mins late. This reply alone tells me not to use this place again

Fantastic Asian breakfast. Cant go wrong with the Halva Puri or Desi Puri Breakfast! Highly recommend to someone wanting to try something different and flavourful!

I have to give this place full marks. It's rare finding authentic food nowadays as unfortunately this generation is one of instant gratification. Its demands force restaurant owners to cater for faster foods at the expense of care and craft. Yes the food at Fozia's takes longer to prepare than your usual Indian/Pakistani restaurant, but bare in mind it is freshly made, seemingly from scratch, with real ingredients. Meat and poultry at your usual high street restaurant is already half-cooked before it goes into a pot of curry powders and sauces, that's why it only takes 20 minutes from order onto your table. Try making these dishes on your own at home, from scratch, it will take 3x longer. Knowing that, I don't actually mind the longer wait as long as this is communicated to the customer. Anyways, I'm a regular and the butter chicken khati roll and house samosa chaat is my favourite, aswell as the nimbu pani and karak chai. Need to try some more things from the menu next time!

Pathetic taste and pathetic service I can’t recommend anyone to go over there they don’t even taste near to indian or pakistani food my date of visit is 19/03/23

We came in for dinner, we were the only people in the restaurant but there were a couple of people waiting for takeaway orders. Menu looked good and we ordered smoothly but after this there was no service. One of our three mains came, followed by a 10 minute wait for another main and our sides. We waited for 10 more minutes before asking where our other main was, at which point it was obvious that our third main had been forgotten. From here we waited a further 20 minutes for this meal with no apologies for the wait. The staff member at the till then proceeded to get her own food and sat on her phone. The food was very good, however. We asked for yoghurt which we never received. After our food we spoke to one of the staff who was adamant that there had been no issues with the service and just stated that if we come back it’ll be better. We’d heard great things about Fozias and we were just really disappointed and won’t be back.

Freezing cold restaurant (huge gap under the front door that could easily be helped by a draft excluder and turning the heating up!). Unwelcoming atmosphere - staff were unfriendly and no-one came to take our order in more than half an hour. Even if we were meant to order at the counter, nobody explained this to us as first time visitors, plus the counter was unstaffed for most of the time we were sitting there (the staff seemed distracted by a catering order and ignoring ordinary customers). The food may well be nice but we walked out before ordering so didn’t get to find out, we went somewhere else that was warm, friendly and took our order within minutes.

Very poor service and average food. The tea came 20 mins before the food. So once food came, we had to get it warmed again. Keema prantha looked like it had donner meat inside it, wasn't keema for sure! Eventually when food came,30 mins later, it was still one by one. We got all 3 prantha, but no halwa or chanaa. Wait another 5 mins for that to arrive. Yet we was the only people dining in!! Imagine if you had few tables seated. Try bring the food all at once. No point waiting 5-10 mins in between getting your full order.

Was here about 2 weeks ago, was definitely worth 5 star ! We had butter chicken, and lamb curry both absolutely unreal !! Opted for the limbu pani was lovely ....wasn't very keen on the tea ( both pink & normal ) wasn't like others I've tried so I personally wouldn't recommend it but I will definitely be back as the food was amazing, also the young couple who worked that day ( Lina & Ahmed ) were amazing, very friendly, welcoming & attentive 🙂

Best parathas and Dessert ever, tried every place for food, but no one can beat fozias parathas and dessert specially the almond dart with custard. It was to die for I killed as I'm not a big eater. Its worth, if the paratha are so good you can imagine the curries are going to be specially the bhuna daal. It Worth it 👌

Really bad experience. Had to wait 1hr+ and when the food came it was cold and the kebab was half cooked. Even the Kashmiri chai was cold. 👎👎👎

Great food, reasonable prices and amazing service.

WORST WORST WORST!!! We had to wait for 1 hour and 20 minutes for food. They gave us cold tea and when they started bringing out food one by one, the kebabs were fridge cold. We were there to eat together, not wait for them to bring meals separately. This was the worst experience of my life. The food wasn't even worth waiting for that long and spending nearly £50. We were so close to just walking out, but we didn't want to be rude. Never again!!!

Excellent authentic home cooked food, delicious and fragrant. Really wasn't expecting such a delicious and generous meal. Prices are very reasonable and the menu has something for everybody. Well worth a visit. I'm a chef of 20 years and very rarely get to say that about restaurants, who mostly disappoint and overcharge these days. I'll definitely be going back to fozias and leaving room for dessert next time too.

Wow was all I could say whilst eating this delicious lamb biryani yesterday evening. Despite the generous portion size, I didn’t leave a grain of rice behind! The Nimbu pani is so refreshing, bursting with flavour from the fresh lemon and mint. Worked really well with the Biryani. My dessert was freshly made gulab jamon with ice cream. This was just perfect in sweetness, really hit the dessert spot. Pink tea is amazing. My wife and two boys thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Clean dishes all round said it all! We took some of the freshly made mango cheesecake home. Just had this now, wow wow wow! It’s a shame we’re not local, planning the next visit already!

Delicious home cooked food! Knocks the socks off anywhere else in Liverpool! Chilled welcoming service, tasty fresh food..chicken melts in your mouth! Samosas..FIT. Butter chicken..FIT. Peshwari Naan...FIT. We ate in AND took food away. The young girl who served us was just so chilled and pleasant. It was like going to your friends or family for tea. No airs ans graces..just stunning food and friendly faces. Well done! We will be back ❤️🤤

Ordered a few times when fozias was based in the lodge lane containers 5 star food first visit to wavertree restaurant food did not disappoint and lovely little place. Service a tad slow but wasn't in a rush

Food was nice I would definitely rate this place as a takeaway but as for eating in the customer service not at all upto average standard. No greeting. Very long wait. Hardly any engagement didn't feel comfortable asking for anything also waited nearly half hour for our drinks. There was only 2 other customers, so I have no idea why we wernt served our drinks at the very least

I've been getting food from here since the time it started out on Lodge Lane. Since then, it's been my favourite place to get food in Liverpool. So far, I've only done takeaway orders (they do collections-only at the moment), but I plan on eating in very soon. The food is consistently amazing; it's clearly made with love/passion and tons of experience. That's not even considering the price, which is very reasonable. Though I'm used to home-cooked Bangladeshi food, I can confidently say they do indeed cook *authentic home-style Kashmiri food*. Non of the other samosas, that I've had in the Asian spots in Birmingham/Manchester, compare to the samosas here at Fozia's. I've noticed a couple of bad reviews related to wait times etc so I will say this. When I went on their opening week (on Lodge Lane) I was initially a bit disappointed with the food. But on my second, third, fourth (etc) visit, I could tell that they'd got into the rhythm of things, and it's been amazing ever since. With that in mind, give them a chance to get into the rhythm of running the restaurant and you won't regret it. Although there isn't one thing that I wouldn't eat on the menu, I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by the chapali burger. I usually opt for traditional curries or kebabs-in-naans, so I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. The desi flavours and mashup of textures are unreal - way better than those gimmicky smash burgers that are all over social media. And lastly, don't forget to grab a cup of their karak chai 👌🏾

Been going there since this opened. Food is consistently delicious. Tastes as delicious as my Mum’s home cooked meals in a restaurant setting. The restaurant is cozy and the toilets are always very clean. I love the spinach paneer and chili lamb. Prices also are very reasonable.

Nice staff, but had to leave after waiting 55 mins for our food due to needing to be at cinema. We would of waited longer but when we asked we were told it hadn't been started yet. Other tables were moaning too. Really hope they sort this out as the food smelled lovely but what would have ended up being a 1 and a half hour wait after placing your order not acceptable.
