This place never fails to serve the most amazing steak in a lovely atmosphere with staff that can't do enough for you. The owner/chef always makes the effort to come out and speak to customers which is lovely. This is our go to place for a special occasion or just for a treat to ourselves. I'd 100% recommend going if you haven't been before, you won't be disappointed.

Foxys was a lovely belated Valentines celebration for us. Warm welcome, great steaks, very good wine card. Excellent value. Would definitely go again if I am in the area. Thanks for a lovely evening and meal.

Foxy's opened especially for us the night before our wedding at Bredenbury court. The food is great ( the best you'll find in Bromyard, we regularly have gone to the curry houses over the years), also the prices are very reasonable. The staff were friendly, looked after us and provided a great place for us to introduce some of our families and friends to each other prior to the big day. Thanks Foxy's!

We had just arrived in Bromyard but hadn't booked anywhere. I looked at the reviews on Tripadvisor and it got good reviews, especially for steak which was my husband's favourite food. We were not disappointed. My husband had his steak which was perfectly cooked and I had a salmon fillet. The home-made chips and sauce were beautiful. Don't miss out on the ice cream for dessert either - locally produced. We enjoyed it so much we went back again later in the holiday. Just as good on the second visit.

Had a very nice meal here, carrot & coriander soup starter was very nice, followed by excellent fillet steak, jacket potato & peppercorn & brandy sauce 😋 Will definitely return.

My wife and I had dinner on 27/1 , As were not local when we opened the door it didnt seem maybe what we expected decor wise , but the friendly welcome soon erased that feeling The menu was great with good choice and amazing deserts from the 70s/80's I choose the 10 oz ribeye - superb, may wife the gammon excellent again , had to share the apple crumble desert as to full To some up especially if your not local dont look through the window and think NO , this is part of the charm and i doubt you'll find a better meal in Bromyard

We were looking for somewhere to eat in Bromyard and were limited for choice so weren’t sure what to expect but we were so impressed! The food was delicious the portions were very generous. The service was fantastic. We will definitely visit again!

We hadn’t made a reservation but as it was early evening and a Thursday we were able to have a table. Excellent rib-eye cooked medium rare perfectly with lovely, chunky,non-greasy chips, perfect! Garlic mushrooms starter was divine and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her salmon main. Our waitress was very efficient and just the right amount of friendliness. Prices were very reasonable too. Congratulations. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I came here last Saturday and had fantastic sirloin steak , cooked to perfection! The chips were amazing !! The silton sauce was to die for! Staff and owner were very welcoming and gave perfect customer service! Definitely coming back again!

Called in to foxys tonight with friends had I lovely meal the steak was lovely and lovely chips , a nice relaxed atmosphere very friendly helpful staff

I just cannot believe how dreadful our meal was. I have had plenty of amazing aged steaks and fully appreciate it can have a stronger flavour but the sirloin steaks served here were off, they smelt and tasted rancid. When the smell & taste is so bad that you can’t loose it, you know it’s bad! Whilst we appreciated not paying the owners / chef were incredibly rude and not apologetic, choosing to present a pile of even smellier meat in his bare hands to me exclaiming that the meat is fine, ( the same bare hands that had popped out for a smoke)!Unfortunately the smell said otherwise! Our meals were brought out at different times incomplete or wrong. My daughters duck was shocking, a reheated precooked duck the type the Chinese restaurants fry for crispy duck and the orange sauce was congealed in an old fashioned metal jug. The decor is dreadful, but I’d thought maybe the food would excuse the state of the place - it does not!! The crockery is old fashioned- not in a good way, it’s like someone thought they could cook a good steak so decided to open a restaurant with absolutely no idea what they were doing.

Called at last minute. Roxy’s is a gem of a find. They do exactly as stated on the tin - steaks, which are cooked precisely to specification. Hospitality was great with a small but satisfying selection of wines and gins !! Would also recommend the Damson ice cream - well done and thanks to everyone David & Carol

Eight of use sat down for range of food. Must of us had Rump or Sirloin. The service lady’s were very friendly and quick.Clive cooks a perfect steak every time. My steak was absolutely delicious. The chips are proper ones, no frozen rubbish. All of us had a great meal. Highly recommended👌

I cannot even express how sad I am that this place is so far away from my home which means that I cannot eat here every day. We were just looking in the window and the jeweller from across the road told us to go in there and that the chips were something else. Dave the Jeweller was not wrong, in fact, Dave knew just was he was talking about. The steak melted. I had the 8oz Sirloin and the husband had the 12oz. We had them with Stilton sauce…..firstly the steak melted, it was the most tasty steak I’ve ever had. Ever!! The chips were fantastic, home made and crispy and accompanied by the Stilton sauce which was perfect made this meal possibly the best meal I’ve had! Staff are really lovely and friendly and the chef makes a point of coming to speak to you about your food to check it’s ok. That’s proper old school and a fantastic touch. The food came out piping hot. If I could give you more than 5 stars I would. I don’t care if it took me 1 hour 40 mins to get here. I’m coming back. That’s for sure.

I've never had a bad meal at foxy's steak bar. Always cooked to how I want it and well presented. Staff are very polite, very clean place. I would highly recommend if you want a decent steak.

My husband and I went to Foxy's last night for the first time. Having read the reviews we had high expectations...we weren't disappointed...if anything they were exceeded. Funnily enough, I'm not a great steak lover, so the lovely waitress gave me the burger menu (usually only for Wednesday) and I chose the classic. My husband had a rump steak and we both had the chips (cooked in dripping). My burger was delicious (homemade from rump and sirloin), and my husband said his steak was cooked to perfection....the chips were fantastic... the dripping is clearly the key! In addition to the food being great (big portions), I must say the service was top class, the waitress Danny was attentive and the owner/chef Clive took the time to make sure everything was to our liking. He explained that everything was locally sourced (good to know) and as it was a bit quiet, both he and Danny had a lovely chat with us. Finally I must say that the bill was really reasonable! All in we had a brilliant evening and will return again very soon!!!!

Not that I am particularly fussy, but while the food was good the place didn't make me want to rush back in a hurry. We were checking the place out as a possible venue for my sons 21st birthday family meal there.

A friend and I visited Foxy's this week. She has been on a number of occasions. this was my first visit. We had the burgers which were served with lots of everything! Most people were having steaks and there was a constant comments from various tables about how good they were. The waiting staff were very very welcoming and attentive (rarely found these days), the chef/owner came round to check himself on the meals - nice touch.

Lovely meal tonight- hubby had 16oz rump which was spot on and I had grilled salmon which again, was spot on! Hand cut chips in beef dripping were plentiful and couldn't be finished. Portions very good and you will not go away hungry!! Lovely little place - well worth a visit.

I've been to foxys steak bar on a number of occasions and every time I go, it gets better and better! Steaks are cooked to perfection! Chips are too die for and the stiton sauce is amazing. Staff Always make you feel really welcome and that nothing is to much. It was my daughters birthday who has jus turned 5. This was her choice too come here as loves foxys. The manager put a lovely balloon on the table for my daughters birthday. Which he did for another table too. Lovely touch. Every member of my party said how fabulous the food was. Icecream was delicious too. Staff were Amazing always on hand too help , checking if we need a top up on drinks etc couldnt of asked for better service. We went on a Wednesday night where there was a special board with really good priced meals on. Really worth the money .. Will be back again!

Visiting relatives in Bromyard, so we decided to check out a place we've never eaten in. We got there 10 minutes before our allocated time, sat down and ordered two glasses of wine and waited around another 10 minutes to order our starters. There were only two more couples in the restaurant , who were already served with their meals, but we still had to wait around fifteen minutes for our choices, by then we were getting hungry. We both ordered steaks, medium rare, and I must say they both were excellently cooked, with fabulous home made chips in beef dripping, with a great field mushroom, salad and a tomato which I couldn't eat because I dont like Oregano which it was covered in ( personal preference of course, some people may like it, but I would have liked to have been given the choice ) . All in all the Steak was superb, the staff were also good, and very helpful, but the decor was very dated, and needs a revamp, the carpet has seen better days, and would be a whole different restaurant with a laminated floor, bringing it into this decade, with some updated tea and chairs ( sorry maybe its because we're used to eating in cities and the decor reminds me of eating in a Bernie Inn when I was in my youth around 35 years ago ). If you want great food and none of this matters to you , eat here. The food was fab, the staff were also fab, and we had a good night, but just needed to be updated.

Thought we'd try as usually frequent another restaurant in town. Retro and a tad quirky but in a positive way, service excellent and quick. Soup and mushrooms to start, both really nice and plentiful. We both had steaks, hubby had chips (chunky cooked in beef dripping) and I had jacket potato. Large portions and very tasty. Chef touched base to check all was ok which was a nice touch. Recommend if you like your steaks!

Book ahead a bijou retreat for the discerning. Ambience is what I wanted and what I got. a perfect meal for😊 two.

Lovely little restaurant, friendly helpful, attentive staff. The steak and duck where both delicious, with "proper" chips! Too full for desert but the offerings sounded great. Good value for money, we will be back.

We had pre-booked our table and good job too. Most tables were reserved when we arrived with a couple saved for ‘walk ins’. Am not surprised so many were reserved but more on that later! We had heard about the delicious Burgers and said we were really looking forward to sampling. Good job too as they are normally a staple of the Wednesday ‘Burger Night’ but the chef was willing to accommodate us, thank you!

I visit Foxys 4-5 times a year and every time is the same "FABULOUS", the steaks are cooked to perfection and you get real chunky chips, the staff are very good and polite and the chef takes the trouble to visit your table to check everything is ok nice touch,

Visiting Bromyard for the one night , Saturday, and left it til the last minute to book anywhere to eat as usual. Anyway phoned on the Friday to see if there was any possibility and sure enough they managed to squeeze us in, a table of four. Wow, what a little gem. The steak was cooked to perfection, the chips or die for, and they had peach Melba on the menu for dessert which was huge and delicious ( not had one of those since the seventies) !!! If I lived in Bromyard I would be here all the time..needless to say we are planning another visit just for the steak.

Lovely place with small friendly atmosphere and top quality food the steak was stunning the sauce perfect and the chips crunched as i like them. Always recomend this place to friends and will continue to.

Bromyard is unashamedly old school. People are almost invariably courteous and respectful. Old fashioned values abound so it wasn’t a huge surprise to discover that Foxy’s Steak Bar is a trip back in time to a happy place where excellent service and good food were commonplace.

Went for a meal here for my birthday, my original plans being cancelled due to the snow. Was not in the least disappointed!! I had the fillet steak and my husband had the sirloin. Probably was the best steak dinner we’ve ever eaten. Finished off with apple pie for him and ice cream for me. Coupled with lovely service, we’ll most definitely be back. Thank you so much!

Wife and I went to Foxy's last Sunday evening for a meal. This was a first for us and this venue was recommended by the B&B; where we were staying. Wife had rump steak and I had the Salmon. Wife said to the waitress that she probably could not manage the 12 oz steak on the menu, and the chef offered to cut her an 8oz steak. Not an offer one would find very often in our experience. The meal was very good and I had a sweet a peach melba which was delicious. I had beer Wye Valley of course one of my favourites and wife had wine. Well satisfied with the service and we would go again when in the area which is usually twice a year.

Fantastic food cooked to perfection by a chef that knows what people like. He is friendly as you will find out if he manages to get out of the kitchen. His staff are lovely and very attentive. We go there every time we are in the area.

My wife and I have a fun meal here, the service was good as was the food, good portions. The decor is a bit 70's as is the piped music but that's fine with me, got us chair dancing throughout the meal.

Only open in the evenings, with a simple grill menu majoring on quality - a perfectly cooked medium rare steak, thick cut, and a very generous 8 oz - a perfect floater coffee to finish, with wine - yes !!

On walking into Foxy's your first impression is it needs decorating, it's a bit dark and tired so a lick of paint could make it so much more appealing. The seating is fairly comfortable.There was only one young lady serving, she was doing a good but rushing about trying to cope with everything.The food. We had soup to start, tomato and basil, edible but not a taste experience. The steaks 1 rib eye 1 fillet were very good quality cooked as we had asked but lacking in seasoning (my pet hate) chips were nice, so overall it's has its good and bad bits, I would go back but I'll stick to the steak.

I have never given anywhere a terrible review but really feel I had to write about this place. We were staying in the area and needed something to eat but I wish so much we had gone elsewhere.We ordered starters and mains. The starter or cheesy garlic bread was most definitely not home made - clearly straight out of the freezer. It was exactly the same as one of the ones you would buy at home, all they had done is sprinkle some cheese on top to make it look more "home made". It was so oily and greasy that me and my son had a few pieces but no more.I had hoped the mains would be better... however sadly they were just as dire. I had the veggie lasagne which was awful... I am a rubbish cook and the one time I attempted to make a veggie lasagne, it was comparable to this. It was unbelievable that they could serve such a thing in a restaurant.I suspect there is little competition in the local area.Even the drinks were poor - expensive, and the coke tasted like it had simply been poured from a bottle, the glasses looked the exact same as the ones they were giving away at McDonalds some time ago?The decor is something else - terribly dated, stuck in the 70s and not in a good way. It felt like we were in someones living room, not a restaurant.I wish I had not paid and wasted my money in here. I have never left such an awful review but this place is deserving of it. Maybe the steaks are fantastic but I am not convinced given all the other negative stuff. One waitress was nice, the other completely stoney faced and no friendlyness. Such a shame

Decided not to cook tea Friday night, been to Foxys before, so this seemed the obvious choice as you are pretty sure what you are going to get.Ordered a cheeky Garlic Bread to start, we decided shared it between us, saving ourselves for the main meals. we both thought the garlic bread was probably not home made.???My partner ordered T Bone steak , I ordered the Rump. They both arrived pretty quickly and cooked to perfection. The large cut chips cooked in beef fat were divine and there was plenty of them too. We ordered a brandy sauce and a portion of onion rings as side dishes. The brandy sauce was absolutely fabulous, "off the chart" to be precise! However onion rings we felt were of the 'freezer' shop variety, still nice though.We ordered a bottle of Merlot red wine, and to be fair the 'French Connection' brand is not the finest, in fact it was pretty damn poor, my fault though as I should have checked beforehand...... Excellent waitress service, she was coping very well with quite a busy restaurant, and a rowdy table of friends and family next to us.... they were very funny and some were a little Brahms!All in all an excellent meal, just should have checked the wine beforehand. Will most definitely go back there, the quality of steaks are good.

Friendly and efficient staff. Good welcome. We booked but we're still offered a choice of tables. The atmosphere and ambiance was a step back in time to when steak houses were the chi chi place to go....the background music was a great selection of 70s and 80s hits. The tastiest steak cooked to perfection...and great chips! One course is enough for a good tasty filling meal. Recommended supper treat!!

We went last Sunday (4th September) and had a lovely meal. Not many places were open for eating in Bromyard and as we were visitors to the area we had no idea were to go. We were not disappointed. The food was lovely and the service very good. We will go back again if we are in the area again.

We were lucky to be able to get a table as it was Saturday, we did not have steak as we had eaten that at home the night before. I had half a duck in plum sauce with peas, salad & chips, it was superb. My husband had trout (a very large one) and I must say theservice was eexcellent. We would recommend this restaurant any day of the week.

Great little place where nothing was too much trouble.When I enquired about eating Gluten free the friendly waitress asked the Chef who came out of the kitchen to explain he could make everything GF except for one sauce. I enjoyed the background music and chatted with one of the local farmers and my meal arrived beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. I would definitely return here again if in the area, travelling alone can be difficult but I felt very comfortable here.

My wife sprung a suprise on me on Saturday night An evening out at Foxy`s Steak Bar! what a lovely venue.The menu is varied but obviously as its a steak bar there`s only one choice8oz Ribeye steak please, acompanied by hand cut chips mushroom and tomatos+ a small bowl of salad.Our choice of drinks were Stowford press cider.......the only problem was no room for sweet :-(We will be going there again ...............................

This was our first visit, but we will almost certainly go again. The Steaks were excellent, served with proper chips. One of our party had the Mixed Grill from the Specials Board and did not have room on the plate for any chips. Everyone really enjoyed their food, and we thought it was superb value.

We went with family on Saturday September 29. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. The portions were very large and could have been slightly smaller without impacting the quality of the meal and would then allowed room for dessert.

I spe t the week in Bromyard and had the opportunity to try a few places. Foxy's has come out top for me. Everybody praises their steaks so I tried something different: grilled trout. It was expertly prepared cooked to the point and very tasty. I'll definitely be back.

Visited with two friends. We all had different steaks, they were all superb. Thoroughly enjoyed as did my freinds. Staff were friendly and attentive

how do you enjoy a night out these days its easy when you have got great company great food and a great atmosphere and that's just what you get at foxys steak bar !

visited Foxys for husbands birthday with the family. It was a Wednesday night and was very quiet in the restaurant. The waitress explained there were no sirloins and only 1 fillet steak left. This was disappointing as 4 out of 5 of us wanted fillet. Thank God there was one fillet left and my husband could at least be treated!! I have no real complaints about the food except didn't like the dried herbs on top of tomatoes not to my taste. The waitresses and chef were very friendly. At the end of the meal the chef explained they had had a very busy weekend and hadn't got to the butchers to restock with fillet etc. A plausible excuse, however this was wed and the weekend finishes on sunday, so mon and tues and wed surely enough time!!

Visited foxys for 4th time last Saturday, once again the steak was immense the service was great cannot fault this place

been a few times,so have my children with their friendsAlways a lovely tasty steakCooked just right!Price abit expensive but don't mind paying for a decent mealOnly a couple of things I'd change is the chips,chips should be on each plate and not separate to share, side sauces way to expensive'garlic bread served on a serviette and it stuck to it.But I would return and recommend it to others

Interesting solo evening over hearing the exploits of a group of young farmers!! Add to that a well cooked steak and good service. All in all, worth a visit.
