Four Seasons in Erewash

Unfortunately, it is probably the worst Chinese takeaway we have tried. Portion size is fair, but all the dishes we had ordered had an overpowering flavour of spices.

Absolutely garbage. Waste of £44. Ordered here loads times gave good reviews when merited. Tonight was appalling. Wandering dragon basically the same as the beef and mushrooms we ordered. Gravy tasteless no lamb in the lamb fried rice. No baby sweetcorn prawns or pork in the wandering dragon. Some chicken pink and didn't taste right so saved it to be checked by the powers that be. Dnt know if changed ownership but most went in the bin. More flavour in an Asda ready meal at a fraction of the price.

Partner very disappointed with hers. She ordered the Wandering Dragon (mix meats dish) and there was a complete absence of both prawns and roast pork. It was essentially a few bit of chicken and beef filled out with large chunks of onion and mushroom. I don't normally review food as its too subjective, but what we received was not what was described. Tell me that you have no prawns or pork and we will order something else, but don't just fob us off with onions.

Changed from our usual Chinese to this one and we won't look back. Definitely gained a new customer. Delicious hot food, great price and fan customer service

Food cold beef in black pepper sauce was terrible

This is the most awesome Chinese food ever. The staff are brilliant and extremely friendly and so helpful. The food is the best I've ever had salt and pepper chips are to die for, Thank you, four seasons for being the best.

I have been a regular customer for 6 years and always had good food, that so I do a 10 mile round trip to collect it. The last 3 times now the sirloin steak in black pepper sauce has been so well done I can barely cut it! Tonight, I said I have had 2 bad steaks can you please make sure it is rare (I always order rare) he said it would be. Got home and both are so well done and its as tough as old boots again! Complete waste of money, time and diesel! I won't be giving them a 4th chance!!!

Been coming here for years now, by the far the best quality Cantonese food I've had in the UK. The portion sizes are large and meat dishes come with a lot of meat in them unlike others. The food they produce is amazing, I not sure why people has said they have had tasteless meals because in 12 years of coming here we only had issue with 1 meal. I'm sure if I asked they would show me how they do some meals if they had time, take your time to thank them for their nice food when you get it. They appreciate it and it makes them happy, like their food makes you happy.

Had take away Sunday eve (8th Jan) All dishes tasteless and unauthentic! Threw it all in the bin. Needless to say, will never return.

I used to love this takeaway but over the past month their food has gone way downhill!! the sweetnsour chicken was revolting - rock hard - teeth breaking "batter"tough odd tasting chicken with a very sour sauce no sweetness which was like molasses!!...overcooked chips swimming in grease!!! I don't know if they have a new "chef" if so they need to go back to chef's school!!!!! I won't be bothering again!!! I'll look elsewhere for a delicious Chinese takeaway!!!! Very disappointing!!!

Highly rate this chinese takeaway. Me & my partner have used this place a couple of times since moving to Ockbrook and we have never been dissapointed! Food is always lovely and always hot when we recieve it. The lady working behind the counter is very friendly and has great customer service skills. Very impressed with my experience with this takeaway :)

Ordered the Wandering Dragon a few times, it’s always been fab, great taste and of good size for a one dish that costs £6. Then tonight it arrived in a much smaller tub and no where near the quality in the past. When we phoned to complain they sent the driver to pick up and return the £6. No apology, no explanation and no alternative given. We were l left very disappointed. After over 10 years using this Chinese’s takeaway we will be taking our custom elsewhere.

After waiting an hour and 30 min / not being told about any delay/ I Tuesday night- the food that arrived was absolutely discussing and inedible, everything cold, chicken dry , soup tasteless!!! And they still have the audacity to charge us £24 !! You have been warned!!!

the service is beyond ridiculous. Never arrives on time. Always late and I'm not talking five or ten minutes. You can never get through on the phone if there is a problem. Which there usually is. Unreliable service every single time.

Amazing, since moving to Borrowash about 10 years ago we have been getting food from here. No issues ever apart from once, then we had a free one the next time which without being a free loader i felt was fine. I think some would like a whole free meal! Portion sizes are always large, every item on the menu is tasty and there's always a lot of meat in meat dishes. They are always rushed of their feet and the phone rings none stop so its hard to tell them how nice the food is. I'm quite surprised so many have complained when in 10 years i and my family have been very happy. I always say, there's only 1 Chinese restaurant we would go to other than that its Four Seasons or no where else its just not worth it. I know its convenient to order from home and get it delivered but go to the shop and see how busy they are. Maybe they have over stretched themselves with a large delivery area trying to much? This pandemic has just made it harder as food outlets and other restaurants have had to close. I just go and get it myself and sit there waiting while a mostly full shop is served before me its like torture smelling all that lovely food. Thanks Four Seasons you make us all so happy with your food its a real treat it really is.

Always ordered from here with no problem, delivery driver James is always polite. Ordered tonight, given an arrival time of an hour and a half. Ten minutes after the ETA, food not here. Rang the store to be greeted by an extremely rude woman who at first told me there were no drivers, to then change to the fact that there's an apparent hold up in the kitchen. Although the option was given for me to collect. Given the fact that I'd had a drink, I refused this offer. There was no given time of when the food would arrive, informed that there were 30 people infront of me. So therefore cancelled my order. I won't be ordering from here again, until they get some new front of house staff

Waited 1 and 1/2 hours for our food, ended up making ourselves something and turning it away when it finally turned up. Won’t bother again. We were originally told of a wait time of forty minutes. This was on the back of giving them another chance after a previous order a week or two before was delivered with the wrong dish. And to your reply I can see by other reviews that you lie about the wait time, your staff are rude and also lie when asked where your food is, so yes we will take our hard earned money else where. Cheers 😁

Gorgeous food and can't fault the service

If i could give no stars I would, the service is terrible and the staff are rude. Declined an order over just eat after processing it. When I called to ask why (although not stated on the website or on just eat and still with the option available online) the rude woman said they're within their rights to decline any orders under £15 (bizzare) especially when i was collecting. The customer service was bottom barrel and i definitely won't be ordering from here again.

The owner was so rude when I made a complaint ( I'm a pain). The complaint was about the massaman, I was told that the sauce was bought from the supermarket, nothing else to say!

Ordered our food @ 6.25 on a Sat night during lockdown,so expected to have to wait & the lady did say they were really busy. Our order arrived at 7.10 which we were amazed at,the delivery man was lovely & the food was delicious. Just what we needed,a treat takeaway that was lovely.

We had a takeaway meal of duck in hoisin sauce, beef in black been sauce and chicken with water chestnuts and mushrooms. A lovely meal which made our evening very enjoyable.

Really nice food here... The chicken with green peppers in black bean sauce is lovely and came with plenty of chicken and peppers and I'd say slightly more so than other Chinese take-aways I've tried. Would have got 5 stars but as they only take cash and you can't pay on card I can only give a 4. In this day and age to not offer card payment services is positively ancient!

Always enjoy food from here, good quality and tastes great. The staff are always polite and friendly. Never had any problems or complaints.

I have had the same experience as Joe . We have waited over 2 hours for food , when I called I got the excuse that a driver was off sick and we were on the next drivers delivery , I rang again and got the same excuse but what was really infuriating wasn’t the lady’s attitude who took my order and gave me the excuses it was later finding out the hold up was because they had took a large food order of £180 which put them behind !! The food was average . Will not order from this establishment again .

Two and a half hours for the delivery, when your eating your take away and all you can think about is leaving the review you know it was a bad choice, Poor.....

Food is delicious not one problem with the food. The 1 star comes from the terrible customer service and delivery time. Writing this I’m 1h15mins in, after ringing the store I was told the same excuse as last time! That the driver has been held up on shardlow for over 20 mins and that it can’t be helped, then after asking what they can do do suffice the extraordinary waiting time I was basically told you can either cancel the order or wait. Simply not good enough in my opinion. Will never be using this takeaway again! Every time we have ordered it has been over an hour.

Excellent Chinese and Thai food and will make meals for you that aren't on the menu I like Thai red duck Curry and they make it for me wonderful 😊

Not very nice Chinese food. No flavour and really dry. More meat than most places but doesn't matter when it is bland.

This chinese is literally round the corner from us now, but even when we lived further away we used to get our chinese from here. The sweet and sour sauce is the best I've had, and the chow mein is amazing. I love the mixed starters that they do! Brilliant food every time

Two of us decided to try their set meal for two after completing a park crawl in Derby. Staff were friendly and efficient, they didn't take a card but did direct me to a cash machine (which was almost next door) after taking my order.The food arrived quickly and was up to scratch. I liked the selection, especially the sweet and sour chicken, and was surprised by the amount - it really was enough to fill 2 adults.

Dreadful service . 2nd time they tried to deliver very late. On 1st occasion I called them and they offered a free meal the next i order. I left it to long for my next order to reasonably feel it was acceptable to raise the offer. On 2nd order was told 15 minutes for order. 45mins later i call to chase up order. Call taker states I didn't take the call. Who cares! Explain the above and I want a reduction in the cost of the this meal. No amount stated. This was refused. Told them don't bother. I would advice you do the same. Bloody shambles
