Fountain Cafe in West Dunbartonshire

Food lovely but need to get better staff was in with my family there was 9 of us and girl with blonde hair with pink through it very cheeky because the kids were sitting at the table while us adults ordered food saying kids were to wait outside until we got our food 4 which have disabilities and we had a 5 year old girl with us also and she was raising her voice and everyone was looking no the firat time she was snide to us looks her nose up and down at us so unless yous get rid of her I won't be back same goes for the rest of our family feel like she had it in for us

Great wholesome good variety of food at very reasonable prices and always served with a smile. A local cafe which caters to the locals all year round.

Asked for breakfast without black pudding or hash brown and to add extra potatoe scones. It didn’t happen so I had put in bin. Ordered salad box and no salad at all just a spot of coleslaw so why call it a salad box wen no salad! Just wasted cash I don’t have and this is 2nd time this has happened won’t be back as obviously they don’t listen to what ur paying to get!

This cafe has the most beautiful appearance with flowers to welcome you with even the shutters done like a mural stunning. Inside is from a bygone age as it was opened nearly 100 year ago. The staff are friendly and the food is good at very reasonable prices. Definitely it is a wee gem.

Was in the area for work one day and after being on the go all morning was in need of something to eat and mainly my daily coffee fix. Had visited a neighboring coffee shop earlier in the week, but had noticed Fountain Cafe, and thought I would give that a go as I was not really wanting anything fancy. Ordered a coffee, cheese salad roll and a millionaire shortcake, and was really good prices. Really tasty food and would have no issues coming here again when back in the area.

Visit during covid - so didn’t get the full ‘proper’ experience but I can say the staff are super friendly, the service is quick and the coffee is very good. This area is full of other restaurants and food outlets - so do visit when you can.I will return and support these local businesses during these very tough times..... all the best everyone.

We had Sunday breakfast in Fountain Cafe with a couple of my partners’ friends. We all opted for the full breakfast, which came with a mug of tea or coffee. The portion size was just right, and the coffee very nice. From a personal point of view, the only item mussing from the plate was mushrooms. Service was fast and the staff polite. Would recommend.

Went for lunch with my wife and kids, food was quick, hot, decent portion and reasonably priced. The staff can never do enough for you and are extremely polite at all times. Also found out they do local deliveries to the other businesses free of charge! Top service!

My wife and I with 2 friends popped in this morning on our walk and had tea, coffee and cakes, As we are on holiday in the area we didn't know what sort of experience we would have and I'm delighted to say that it was excellent, the staff were charming and the coffee and cakes were lovely, the rest of the menu looks interesting and very affordable. All in all we had a very good experience.

Popped in out the cold and rain had a roll with square sausage and a cappuccino, prices are good,food is good,clean,friendly staff

This is a very busy cafe. Came in for lunch and joined a queue to order. Wide and varied menu on the blckboard plus a menu. Enjoyed very tasty soup and a well filled sandwich. Great place for a quick lunch at a reasonable price in a very friendly atmosphere.

New management not as welcoming as the old but the food standards have stayed the same. Large portions cheap prices! Place shuts at 5 and I went in at 4.35 for take away and was told kitchen was closed. Another 2 customers at my back told same so they should lock the door at half 4 n shut shop to avoid disappointment.

Had the homemade Lentil soup which is one of the best I've tasted and had a Cheese and Bacon toastie which was delicious too! Hazelnut mocha was lovely as well, especially on such a rainy, cold day. Great prices!

Went here with a local friend, otherwise I probably wouldn't have visited it. Nothing fancy, just good homemade soup and hot lunches. Liked the staff and their friendliness. Prices were excellent.

A bright and clean cafe, loads of seating and free wifi. The £3.95 breakfast is excellent value and there's good fresh coffee. Very popular with locals.

Ha bajado el nivel bajo la nueva propiedad, seguro lugares tienen problemas de dentición con un cambio de dirección, pero esto es una broma. Directora parece desaliñada y totalmente profesional. Se destacó en el mostrador esperando 10 minutos para ser servida mientras ella estaba charlando. Muy decepcionado después de la categoría anteriormente.

Great cup of coffee. Lovely bacon or egg or sausage rolls cookeed as you want them. Friendly staff.Have only ever had breakfast, but looking at other people's plates lunch looks good

My Wife and I eat here on a reasonably regular basis (once per week-ish). The food is standard fare and is CHEAP. The owner has recently put in a new coffee machine and the coffee is great. Portion size is ideal. For a club sandwich with salad for £4 you can't complain. Be aware this place gets busy on a lunchtime. The cafe looks spartan but is comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is run by home cooks so standards are set and non-negotiable. You could try but you will lose with these ladies. The cafe is well used by local people and has a good track record. Well worth a visit.
