I'd walked past this cafe'/restaurant quite a few times and promised myself I'd go in one day. Well, today was the day. On a quiet stroll around town, I was in need of some lunch, and so went in. The staff are lovely, and I sat at a table in the window. I was worried that I was the only customer at what was customarily lunch time, but was assured they'd had a busy morning, and it had just quietened down. I ordered a coffee, and browsed through the lunch menu. It certainly was different, and varied. And because of that, though I am willing to try a lot of things, I didn't find something I liked. I settled on the mortadella sandwich with rocket and parmesan on toasted focaccia, which was surprisingly nice. The salad was unusual but perfectly lovely, and the portion was just right. I fancied something sweet to round off my lunchtime treat, and enquired about a choux bun with sea buckthorn and white chocolate, only to be informed that they had no choux buns left. I chose the apple and blackberry crumble with a custard mousse instead, and that too was amazing. As I'm a custardy type of girl, and I asked for extra, and was brought extra with my desert, no questions asked. I especially appreciated the modern but simple and effective dishes and silverware. Two choices of size of desert spoon were presented, and I loved that simple touch. I made enquiries about their set tasting menu dinner evening that are held roughly once a month, and while not cheap. (£70 including fizz), the menu looked unusual, varied, innovative and expansive. Lunch for one wasn't cheap either, (£20), but was worth every penny considering not one mouthful was left uneaten, and every mouthful was so tasty and satisfying. I would unequivocally recommend this restaurant, and will be back to try their breakfast, and maybe dinner with a friend.

My wife and I visited for breakfast this weekend and can absolutely say this was the best breakfast we've had in ages. We arrived early on Saturday morning, so before it was too busy. Service was very friendly and good, and the drinks were well made and the food arrived pretty promptly. The food was excellent, the quality of the ingredients were fab and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The dinner we had at Found was the best meal we had in Dorchester during our 4 day stay. Both our meals were excellent. The service was friendly and very efficient.

We came to Dorchester for a visit and look around. We like to support independent local shops and picked this one for a coffee stop. One look at the menu and we decided to stay for food. Very nice surroundings and atmosphere with food and drinks to match.

Visited on a wet Wednesday evening as a last minute decision to eat out and it was wonderful. The waitress was very attentive and explained everything really well, we went for 2 starters and a small plate then 2 large plates. It was just the right amount of food for us and we have big appetites. The food was fantastic, the olives with the sourdough and butter were divine, the cheese balls were amazing. The pasta dish and my husband’s beef were also vey tasty. We will definitely come back and try the breakfast next. It’s a wonderful addition to the growing number of fantastic places to eat in Dorchester.

Another great dinner, matched with friendly service. This time a visit for dinner and it did not disappoint the food as previous was excellent. The quality of ingredients and cooking are some of the best in the area The menu offers such a wide choice of items with so many sharing plates and the price point is super competitive We tried one of the cocktails and had a number of the sharing plate We can’t rate this place highly enough

Found Restaurant of Found and Fine Co. is such an outstanding happening, we went for lunch on one day and circled back for dinner the following day bringing the rest of our holiday group. The food is amazing and unusual in the very best of ways; the ambiance from decor to music very smooth; and the chef/owner genuinely in tune with his clientele who he visits to ensure they are pleased with his culinary delights. Even those in the group not usually prone to dessert/pudding were over the moon for the chocolate hazelnut mousse (more elegantly described on the menu and comes with a dusting of gold) and salted caramel torte. Enjoy!

Happened upon this place whilst visiting Dorchester, and what a find! We were too late for breakfast/brunch which was at first disappointing but actually the food was so interesting and delicious we were so glad we did. The menu is mostly small plates which we shared and it was the perfect way to sample some really interesting dishes. Definitely recommend for something a little different to the usual high street lunch scene.

Found has the appearance of a simple cafe - bare boards, wooden tables, no linen. The regular menu is short, inclined towards the Light Bite. But the daily specials - all small plates - are something else. Today they are venison crumpet with wild garlic, cured trout and blood orange, parsnip velouté, tempura oyster with burnt lemon, beef tartare tartlet, cured meats with sourdough, pommes anna with goats curd. How to choose? We took the easy option ; one of each, shared between the four of us. Each was delicious and satisfying in its own way. We only had room for an apple crumble, three coffees and a pot of Earl Grey. We drank a glass of Sauvignon, a bottle of Italian red and a carafe of tap water. The bill was £28 a head, not cheap but good value for exceptional food. Service was friendly if occasionally inattentive. Overall, recommended.

Another wonderful find, this time on our first visit to Dorchester. An eating house called Found. We ordered small plates to share and the dishes were exciting, delicious, different, exquisitely made with a lot of care and attention by the Chef Patron. We then chose a dessert, a choux bun with tiny pieces of honeycomb and rubarb on a base of a delicious cream. The coffee was good and so was the glass of wine. We would highly recommend and we will return.

A perfect spot for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. This is a new venture in the town centre and 100% a pleasure from stepping through the doors into the tastefully decorated bistro, selecting from their extensive menu which is then perfectly executed and served. Good luck Team Found!

On this visit we enjoyed our first breakfast at Found and it was delicious, set us up perfectly for a day out. We had bacon bap, lovely bap & tasty bacon, Salmon (they swapped the scrambled eggs for perfect poached egg) and the lighter Found breakfast and the sausage was gorgeous. All washed down with gallons of great coffee. Service with a smile as always - we will return…

We went for a girls family lunch recently, and really enjoyed our time at Found. We shared a number of the small plates between us all, loved that they all came out pleasantly spaced so that we could all enjoy and share whilst still hot. Puddings were amazing, the clear winner between us all was the choux bun! Will definitely be going back, looking forward to the Christmas menu in December! The bistro is just the place Dorchester needs, food that is different at a reasonable price and something a bit more special in a town that is saturated with chain coffee shops/cafés.

Could be so much better! On my 2nd visit the service is still disinterested and inattentive. No "would you like anything while you wait?", "how is everything?" but plenty of trying to catch staff attention behind the counter etc. First visit mid-morning some months back I was one of only 2 customers and still waited 5 mins to get a coffee ordered. Cooking is very skilled but as we did not realise most of the menu is small plates (no info printed we could see) and also stone cold we were surprised. Jerusalem artichoke tart least popular - chilly and bland. Squash ravioli (warm) with sage was best - delicious. Warm treacle tart also delicious but also cold and on a cold plate. Left on a chilly day feeling in need of a warm up. Good value for the quality, nice interior. Hope they can tweak the experience and do well.

This was our first experience of trying this recently opened cafe and sadly the cakes were extremely overpriced for what we received. The Paris Brest was tiny and had very little unimaginative filling.

Table of seven of us, the interaction with the staff helped with the choice from the Excellent Menu, wouldn't normally have puddings with Brunch but it just had to be done! Everything was just So Perfect from the Presentation to the Taste. Not the first time there and will certainly not be the last, only wish we all lived closer... So pleased to have have found, FOUND!!

So I haven't physically bene in the building but I've ordered from them a few times for home delivery and OH MY GOD I'm obsessed. The dumplings are so so good, my favourite are the chilli pork ones and the spring rolls are to die for. I'm telling all my friends about them because this business NEEDS TO STAY OPEN for the sake of my dumping cravings lol

Stayed here in August 23. Lovely accommodation, spacious and clean. Vikki and Martin are both very helpful. Really relaxed atmosphere. The children loved playing in the games room and the communal garden. We might even come back for another visit. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Great tasty late afternoon breakfast and toasted scones. Friendly service and ambience. The cafe is a family run business and is located off the main square in Beauminster so could easily be missed. It was a Monday and most of the cafes were closed and the few that were open had only cold food so it was great to find somewhere serving warm food. Look for the orange sign on the square or outside the cafe. The cafe has artwork and crafts on display as well as books and is light and bright.
