Fouberts in Kensington and Chelsea

We had just arrived in London and our airbnb was not ready, we were greeted by Mary. We had a wonderful lunch, spaghetti and meatballs. The food was great, but the service was excellent. Mary was our server. The restaurant was very clean and everyone was very friendly. Mary you made our experience amazing! We were tired from traveling and your smile was so nice and service fantastic.

I went with a friend of mine for a late lunch as she was going to a Proms concert early evening. It's a while since I've been to Fouberts but it is still good i.e. good food, (although alcoholic drinks are a bit expensive), good atmosphere and friendly and efficient service

Great location close to Kensington Palace. The service was fantastic and food was delicious. I would love to eat here again.

My tip would be go to M&S and get a micro wave meal. Lasagne hard in the middle, could not really eat it. Served in a metal dish, no grace or style, but like the old greasy Joe on the great British A roads. In an upmarket area of West London , just awful.

If you want to eat at friendly environment, don’t come here. The working lady looked so unfriendly, and gave me a table near the gelato noisy and hot machine, even the restaurant was empty. Only after I asked she gave me different table. I don’t know how home Italian food should taste like, but I didn’t like my steak. The sauce was too creamy for steak meat. The only nice experience was the owner (or manager), older guy, with authentic Italian appearance and poor English.

Outstanding food, great and quick service, would suggest booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Will return in the future.

This unpretenscious family run restaurant serves old fashioned and exquisite pasta dishes. I love their meatball spaghetti, but my most favourite is the pesto pasta with chicken. I think it is a good, casual dining place for families, students, friends and couples. They are also open for coffee/drinks inbetween the meal times and their coffees are, imho, better than the ones that's served in the popular chains. The only downside is that although I found the female staff lovely and delightful, a couple of male staff I encountered (may be one of them is a chef?) did not behave like they were really glad to have customers.

A Gem on Kensington High Street. We came by chase as I had booked the wrong place to eat so popped in. Really nice freshly prepared food, with taste and cooked to perfection. We had 3 in the party- 3 glasses of white wine- 2x Lasagne 1x chicken with Penne pasta in a spicy tomato sauce. Threes desserts were 2 scoops of ice cream (many to choose from) . We were off to the Royal Albert Hall to a concert by The Royal Marine Band. This is perfectly located as you pass this on Kensington High Street on your way. Give it a go (£93) was the bill and this included a service charge (£10) and the service was very good

Very good restaurant. Nice ambiance, and very good food. I wanted to send a photo of my pizza, but after tasting it, I forgot de toke a photo and ate it all. I definitely recommend and Bon Appetit!

We've been eating here for years before going to the Albert Hall. As always we were warmly welcomed and had a good meal. Although they no longer do salads there is still a wide choice. However, beware that the rose wine by the glass is much more expensive than red or white.

A lunchtime visit, we were the only customers on a midweek day. the owners were sitting in the window. it's a big restaurant and we felt lost. NHS Covid App info and warnings signage still on walls looking very worse for wear and cannot understand why they have not been removed. The food was tasty and no complaints, but a basic glass of wine was £11, and overpriced. whilst eating the elderly gentleman who owned the place sat 2 tables from us playing videos on his phone quite loudly, and he didn't seem to care about disturbing us. also the lady owner welcomed a friend to sit with her in the window table and they loudly discussed medical issues which my wife clearly heard, so with just 2 wines and mains we decided this was not the ambience or atmosphere we expected...the owners seemed totally unaware of us until we paid.

Absolutely awful, we turned up after being in the rain with the kids. We were 15 minutes early to have a nice meal. Turned out that didn't happen!! We had pre booked a table and the owner had given it away. He was very rude and basically ushered us out, would not recommend!!! Maybe the owners could learn a thing or two about good customer service........

I'd love to be able to tell you how quintessentially Italian this eatery is, how the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming, but unfortunately an angry little man got in the way of all that! We phoned through a table for 7 during the day, even securing a high chair, we arrived at 6:45 and before even two of us could enter this aging mini Mario look-alike angrily told us we could not eat there, that he gave our table to another party of 7 and we should move on and find somewhere else. Enquiring further, and he petulantly kicked towards a table suitable for 3 saying 'this is what we have free'. In hospitality, you need to be hospitable, it's kind of the name of the game. So 4 adults and 3 kids kicked to the streets in an area where unless you book you're going hungry. Petulant, aggressive, short tempered, rude, abrasive, disappointing, lacklustre and horrendous. Put these words in a blender and that is what you'll find on the menu here!

Turned up 15 mins early for a table which we had booked over the phone several hours before for 7 people. Before we got in the door a man was shouting that they were full, explained that we had booked to be told they gave away the table. Rude and ignorant, avoid.

We had lunch in this little gem of a restaurant on Saturday, famished after a very long walk in Hyde Park. The home made dishes we chose (meatballs & spaghetti, Penne sauce Siciliana followed by apple pie and ice cream) had the delicious flavours of Italy. We were made to feel very welcome and felt very happy, liked the decor and music too! We hope to return when we are back in the capital.

My friend & I had an extremely long tour day, and she wasn't physically able to venture out any further to eat and I was too tired to shop & cook. I decided to peruse the area for food that would make her (very picky eater) happy. I came upon Fouberts and couldn't have been more blessed. Quiet & soothing atmosphere, wonderful ladies took care of me, quick service (take-out), the food was awesome and there was plenty for several meals! My friend was so thankful, as was I. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

In spite of the French sounding name it is an Italian restaurant. Dropped in with the kids on impulse and driven by hunger. Rather empty and unassuming. The food on the other hand was great especially the grilled sea bass and cod. The potatoes were superb. Prices were reasonable though service was a bit underwhelming. Well worth a visit.

We visited this restaurant twice. It was quiet with not too many people in it on either evening. The food is Italian and we had two nice meals. The decor is dated and the music also. It could do with a revamp. The service is very quick and the food was tasty.

Qué hallazgo fue este auténtico restaurante italiano. No entiendo por qué no está lleno de clientes. Auténtico italiano. Las pizzas son grandes, de base fina, pero no duras, crujientes o quemadas en los bordes. Los ingredientes están bien equilibrados. Nuestra mesa recibió aceite de oliva con chiles y un molinillo de pimienta molido para agregar a las pizzas.

Ich bin durch Zufall auf Fouberts gestoßen und es war ein echter Glücksfall. Sehr gutes italienisches Essen (ich hatte die Tortelloni) und super Eis, zu einem für Londoner Verhältnisse wirklich guten Preis. Außerdem sehr nettes Personal. Eine ganz klare Empfehlung von mir.

Browsing our way through menus outside restaurants along Kensington High Street on our way back to the Hilton Olympia, we were greeted by the owner of Foubert's at the door if his restaurant and urged to come in. We hesitated because the restaurant seemed almost empty, but something about the owner's manner was so sincere we decided to have dinner there. No regrets whatsoever. The table settings were very basic but the service and food were like eating with family in a Sicilian home. We ordered two mixed green salads followed by a lasagna mamma mia and a spaghetti Napoli and finished with a tiramisu and a pairing of gelati with biscuits. Molto delizioso! We accompanied our meal with still and sparkling water and we had no complaints about the bill. It may sound odd, but we were also left with the feeling that the owner and employees genuinely appreciated our business - which is something does not always sense in restaurants. Definitely recommended.

Stumbled across this little place and do not regret entering and eating the beautiful food, full of flavour and well presented. Lovely staff who could not have been more helpful. The menu was diverse and reasonably priced. Big tick from our party of 4.

Por lo general, reservamos los de Verdi cuando vamos al Albert Hall - Mark Knopfler esta vez. Pero no lo hice esta vez. Así que mi esposa y yo caminamos desde RAH hasta Kensington High Street y este fue uno de los primeros lugares. Se estaba anunciando 2 cursos para 10. 95 así que entramos. Nos sentamos a mitad de camino después de las escaleras a los baños. Buena mesa 2 camareras muy eficientes tomaron nuestros pedidos. Fui a empezar calamares al igual que mi esposa. Muy buen tamaño y sabroso. Para los principales tuve hamburguesa y patatas fritas. La hamburguesa era grande y sabrosa, con mucha lechuga y tomate en un bollo de brioche. Mi esposa tenía un plato de pasta de hongos - delicioso. Los dos tomamos café. Y también nos trajeron 2 vasos de agua sin preguntar. Los baños estaban muy limpios y el servicio y la relación calidad-precio excelente. Volveremos seguro.

Acompañado por un bocado rápido en el camino a un espectáculo en el Royal Albert Hall, que está a pocos minutos a pie. Parece estar dirigido por una familia, muy agradable de comer en un lugar que no es una cadena, y los precios eran buenos. Realmente disfruté de la comida. Había 3 de nosotros, uno vegetariano, uno tenía pescado, el otro carne, todos perfectamente hechos con verduras frescas. Volveré a comer aquí la próxima vez que estemos en la zona.

Bon, ce n'est pas un restaurant gastronomique. Il faut remettre le Fouberts dans le contexte de hight street Kensington. Après s'être fait refouler de trois autres restaurants, on se retrouve devant ce petit établissement simple qui se veut un peu italien. C'est une table pas trop chère qui permet de se restaurer sans trop se ruiner. Le personnel est sympathique et attentif. On peut trouver des pizzas et des burgers. Le plats coûtera minimum 7 livres hors pourboire. Plus cher qu'un sandwich mais on est assis et il y a des toilettes...contrairement aux kebabs et autres sandwicheries. Ça dépanne.

Encontré este lugar cerca del mediodía después de caminar a través de Hyde Park y Kensington Palace. Tuve calamares y mi familia tuvo una hamburguesa y atún ensalada. Los calamares era pobre, obviamente solo un paquete congelado. Sin embargo mi familia parecía disfrutar de su comida. El precio era normal y era equivalente a la calidad de la comida.

I had vaguely heard about this restaurant. As I fancied Italian food we decided to try it. The first surprise was that we were the only customers. This seemed strange specially as it was a Friday evening. Nevertheless we stayed and we were glad we did. The food was good and the service was good too. The prices were reasonable for a Kensington restaurant and we have noted this place for further visits.

Nuestro servidor, Bella, era realmente agradable y muy servicial y lo hizo para la comida bastante mediocre, así que gracias Bella y buena suerte con su un niveles! Compartimos una ensalada de atún que, sin unos núcleos independientes, el maíz o dos de pimienta plateado rojo y un olivo o dos han sido muy buenas; que sirven para nosotros que era aburrido. Nuestros platos principales, pasta con pesto y Lasaña Mamma mia, estaban bien, pero nada para morirse y muy caro. El más finas (francés) vino tinto de la casa también era caro y muy aburrido. No, no volvería.

I happened upon this little place in Kensington on my first day in London, and had a light, late lunch there. I had a green salad with tuna on it and a pot of hot tea. It was served with a nice bread on the side and was very reasonably priced. Some workmen (wearing yellow vests) were finishing up coffee at a nearby table and speaking Italian to each other and to the waitress. This is London, a truly international city.

Visited on a Tuesday evening as wanted a non chain option. On arrival had a warm welcome but on sitting down we almost chose to leave. The specials were written on a dirty scrap of paper, we had to ask for a drink menu. But chose to stay ordering the anti pasta to share then the pasta gamberoni and arrabiatta. The food was absolutely delicious from the warm bread to the perfectly spiced arrabiatta. I’d certainly visit again but to attract more custom they should just work on the added extras

Surely there is no finer Italian in London than Foubert's (hardly an Italian name) ?The best freshly squeezed orange juice this side of Seville. It is a closely kept secret. So I tell you in confidence - which means you may only tell other people one at a time !Situated at 17, Kensington High Street, almost opposite the Royal Garden Hotel. A personal favourite is spaghetti bolognese, preferably with penne. Truly wonderful.Don't be put off by the exterior decor - you come to Foubert's for the food. The restaurant is ideally situated for a pre concert dinner before walking along to the RAH.Just spectacular.Hayling Seagoon

Locale carino sulla High Street Kensington, cucina e menù tipicamente italiano, preparato con cura, e rispetto per gli ingredienti e la tradizione; antipasti, primi e secondi di carne e di pesce ; ideale per pranzi veloci ma anche per cene, magari a base di pesce ( ottimo) . Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo . Personale italiano, gentile e divertente .... un piccolo angolo d'Italia a Londra !

Walking from Kensington to Notting hill looking for a breakfast stop we stumbled upon this gem of a place. Clearly a great evening haunt it also serves REAL Italian coffee and a lip smackingly good full english breakfast. Lovely service great atmosphere and super food - GO THERE worth a visit probably at any time of day or evening.

Last year we attended the royal Albert hall festival of remembrance, once finished we walked along Kensington high street to find somewhere to have a drink.Although not eating, we were welcomed in to have a drink. We taken to the back of the restaurant and seated.This year we did the same.We were warmly welcomed and seated at the back of the restaurant.Thank you... this may well become our annual post show venue.

Had avery early start last week to do some work in the Royal Albert Hall once finished I needed some breakfast. Walked down towards Kensington and found Fouberts. Had salmon & scrambled eggs plus a latte for a very reasonable £10.25 good quantity and the salmon was good, the egg was a little bit runny but tasty enough.

A group of us ate here after a concert at the Albert Hall. The £9.95 two-course set menu had three choices each of starter and main course, such as forchetta, calamari, chicken salad and vegetarian pasta. And there's a wide menu of other dishes a la carte. The fixed-price menu is basic but is excellent value.

We have eaten here on many occasions, dinner lunch or snacking. The food is fantastic, never had any reason to complain, lovely staff, very clean and not expensive, £60.00 three course meal for two with drinks, make sure you try the ice cream.

Second time we have had a meal here before seeing a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Great wee Italian restaurant with lovely staff. The food was served fast and was delicious both times. I think we will extend our little tradition and pop in again next time we visit the RAH.

Visited early in the afternoon after visiting Kensington palace. Very quiet due to the time, was served quickly. Restaurant was a little cold but no doubt would be warm when there's more people eating. When we arrived there was one other table eating and then us. Food came quickly, good portions, Parmesan cheese left so we could help ourselves and tasty. Free WiFi also!No complaints for the staff. I prefer it when staff are not overly attentive and I am left to enjoy my meal instead of constant interruptions and we were allowed to do this at fouberts. The staff were polite but left us to enjoy our meal. Would return

Easy to walk past but you must stop and eat here. The restaurant is clean and tidy and the staff efficient and friendly. This was my second visit and it was just as good 2nd time around. Had the chicken and bacon ciabatta and it was quick, fresh and tasty. Just what was needed. Great sandwich and coffee for under £7

Fouberts is a typical family runned restaurant that is not easy to find specially in these part of London where everything is owned by Big Chain Companies, the food is lovely home made and the service is friendly and fun.
