Fosters Restaurant in Gloucester

I’ve seen more appetising dog food. There’s a part of me that thinks the food comes from the sluices from the rest of the hospital, but it’s not even that good. I worked here for a few years and after travelling the world and trying some questionable food, fosters in Gloucester hospital is by far and away the worst food I have ever tried. Unfortunately they prey on the desperate, so bring sandwiches from home, or if you want an accurate and cheaper alternative to fosters, eat directly out of a wheely bin in the car park. The coffee comes from a machine so that’s ok, just expensive for what it is.

Staff discount is so good price. Why, though, is food never hot, just like warm, food on cold plates....

Ideally situated in the hospital complex, Fosters offers a great dining experience with delicious food and attentive service. The menu has a good variety, and everything we tried was cooked to perfection. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it perfect for a casual meal or special occasion. The location is convenient, with parking and other amenities nearby.

This is the staff restaurant in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The food and variety of dishes is really good. The prices are more than great value, and the service is outstanding, in an amazingly busy eatery.

Fantastic value and quality food.

The food is delicious. It is less fat, less salt but still tasty. The pricing is great! Both time I had lunch here, I had a lighter lunch than anyhing I would have outside the hospital.

Located in Gloucester hospital and it was awful. Food was bland and cold, coffee was tasteless and the service wasn't brilliant. Prices were okay but that is about the only positive thing I can say about my experience.

Excellent cafe within the Gloucester hospital. Very good range of hot and cold food. Try to avoid between about 12.00 and 13.00 hrs as there are quite long queues of hospital staff !

Spacious restaurant inside Gloucester Royal Hospital. The staff are polite and ready to help even though at busy times. Cleanliness is awesome. Many cake varieties are available. At Fosters we don't have a feeling that we are inside a hospital.

It's great to be able to get some food that doesn't cost a fortune. The menu isn't that inspired but there's enough choice and the cakes alone are worth the visit. It's a little hard to find out in the bowls of Gloucester hospital, but I like that.

Bit expensive but staff brilliant

Not great. No hot main meal at 1330hrs on a Saturday lunchtime. Jackets, chips, beans, part bake rolls but nothing very interesting or healthy. Feels run down, no ambition and under managed.

Fosters has been there for me through many a weekend on call, always serving top knotch grub. Preferred when 50% off for staff BUT yum nonetheless and staff friendly and hardworking
