Great food Delivery excellent. Driver nice happy chap. Food was great. Large family. Catered for us all very well Hadn't used before, will be back!

I placed an online order for home delivery , an item was missing so had to call back again and wait for them to correct our order, the chicken burgers looked ok until we looked closer, the salad was so horrible and the same in all 3 chicken burgers. We use to buy from this place regularly but now we will find an alternative

Food is good, people are nice. We think quite good value for money. I really enjoy the veg chowmein from here. Hubby has salt and pepper chicken and likes it. Tom Yum rice is also delicious.

Ordered salt and pepper chips and chicken chow mein. The chips were very nice. The chow mein was not what I was expecting and could have done with more chicken. It had a lot of onions and was in a sauce. The sauce was not to my taste. The noodles are the fine ones. So if like me you like the thick noodle and a dry chow mein then this is not the place for you.

We order from both the chip shop & the Chinese regularly. The fish & chips being a particular favourite. It’s always cooked to perfection & the chips are so tasty. Not too greasy but also not dry! Good variety of food to choose from so suits us all as a family of 5. Staff are friendly, particularly the guy who owns/runs the Chinese part. Really nice & happy guy. I’d recommend both takeaways. Take cash with you as there are no card payments. The nearest cash point is Sainsbury’s or the Tesco express at Paganhill.

It's a good standard takeaway. Despite some poor reviews I decided to try it and the food is good, not too salty, vegetables nice. Definitely worth a try! No difference to most Chinese restaurants and a lot better value

After recently moving to the area we decided to treat ourselves to a Chinese takeaway. A menu for a local takeaway was posted through our letterbox, so rather than look at the reviews we decided to use the FORTUNE. Well that turned out to be a bad decision. The main bad highlights were greasy prawn toast, cold tasteless chicken fried rice, crispy shredded chilly beef - this was far from crispy and was tasteless. Morale of the story...... always read the reviews or ask the neighbours. We will definitely not be ordering any food from here again 🤮

Despite going through the order three times over the phone with youngish English girl,food was bland when phoned up to question order was treated with nonchalance by same girl,no apolologies or opportunity to rectify mistakes,used to be regular customer not anymore wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy

Worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had. Only put 1 start Cos cudnt select zero. Chow mien was rank and was dry noodles with a blob os sauce on the side. Crispy chilli beef was dry and had no flavour!!! Prawn crackers were stale and tasted two days old. Only ordered from there as cudnt get their to do our first choice and others didn’t deliver but next time I wud rather go without!!!!

Love the chicken curry and spicy salt pepper and garlic chicken wings also the chicken balls and chips are really good. I'd not reccomend the noodles personally abit sloppy and there the thin sort I like the proper thick chowmein noodles . The Singapore ones are best from here I think Delivery isnt normally to long and there lovely people

Just eaten 1st class fish n chips. Chips were perfect and fish was golden and crispy. The social distancing measures in place worked well.

So bad. Tasted like old noodles and they gave me loads of noodles and and a tiniest bit of chicken. They just hope you take it and leave . I would look at the food you order before taking away

Food generally okay. More Prawns than veg in the Salt & Pepper Prawns would have been nice. Crispy Beef not too bad. Bit more Chilli would have been good. Hot & Sour Soup really not up to scratch. Very disappointed in the flavour. Its one of my favourites :( Crispy Duck okay. Not very crispy though.

M6 gridlock all the way home from Scotland. A tasty Chinese, home delivered, seemed the magic emergency fix for a family of exhausted and grumbling tums. Order arrived in good time. 45 quid and a tip to the driver who was very well spoken and nice. Finding positives to add following delivery however becomes bit of a challenge I love crispy squid, the menu boasts two ‘fried squids’ to pick from, I went with spring onion, believing it an alternative to salt and pepper and the phone staff assisted me choosing a sauce (to complement the crunch). But this dish delivers zero on the crispy scale - deserving only mention as the chewiest potential foodstuff known to mankind. A full minute of mastication only amplifies the rubbery texture (and the unidentifiable gelatinous slime it’s boiled down in does nothing to break it down). I was forced to spit into the compost bin. Oh well, my mistake.... and I have a go at the noodles then. Cold, dry, stale - odourless and colourless (and the spare Capitol sauce doesn’t help). So I rinse out my mouth, delete the mental image of school children chewing on string and out with the squid they go. To continue a theme, ‘House Special chop chewy’ nicely depicts the next dish we try. So the hard stringy duck (not crispy) is hungrily picked over. The dog later brings up all the bits that humans couldn’t get teeth in, and I wonder if our dental cover is up to date. Szechuan fried fish, and Singapore fried rice remain in hand to balance a challenging meal. They prove flaccidly uninspiring although thankfully easy to swallow, (but ultimately a 50 pound note is largely to only feed worms). I phone and question my order - they suggested that sauce for my squid after all, and I wanted to clarify what to order (perhaps even gain some goodwill) for next time. Had we noted by then the meanness of portioning bulked up with tasteless nothingness, absent anything suggestive of crunchy (or ‘green’), the argumentative person who took my call would have known all the sooner: there will be no ‘next time’! This place caters brown food (Chinese style’) to the bland to tasteless of palate and in that respect their more standardised UK greasy spoon fare has proved a far safer bet. Fish and chips with mushy peas is restored as our family instant fix, and it’s back to the search for a palatable Chinese meal in Stroud. A single star (for the driver). Without the bag of free crackers we’d have starved.

Possibly the worst Chinese I think we’ve ever had. Tasteless, bland, gloopy and made with cheap ingredients. Save yourself the disappointment and head elsewhere. (Pic is of chow mein)

Basic take away -Chinese. Food was good. Nothing special but ideal for a night when you do not want to cook. House special curry and ribs were good. Just take note to check your order before you leave as I did not get my Singapore chow mien.... ended up with plain noodles and chop suey in the same pot half/half of some sorts? ... bit bland for me as I was look forward to my spicy noodles but unfortunately didn’t realise until I got home. Would have meant the rest got cold! Will be checking in future!

If i told you that the best part of the meal was the prawn crackers that should tell you everything you need to know. Ordered the most basic dishes..prawn crackers, chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken balls. I kid you not but none of the food was seasoned! The rice was plain boiled rice with egg and chicken. The chow mien was plain noodles on one side with overcooked beansprouts and onions on the other which was drowning in a gloopy clear liquid. The chicken balls were overcooked but edible. We had to add our own soy sauce!

Really good Chinese. Good value and tasty, especially the crispy duck wraps. Set meals give good range of dishes.

Ordered the food at 2100 and picked it up at 2120. Exactly what is says on the tin and the haddock was freshly cooked.

Yo sólo he parada cuando me apetece un chino para el camino de vuelta hacia se aprovecha de color verde. Nunca pedimos nada más que su comida china para una oferta, un plato de pollo, arroz y lata de coca cola por alrededor de £6.50. Es comestible, pero eso es todo. Si nosotros mismos tratan de China es siempre de otra comida para llevar. Este realyy no comparar - es barato y alegre (ni siquiera que alegre para ser sincero).

Every time i come to Stroud we use Fortune. Great chicken kebab and chips. Pops loves the fish. Good value and with helpful staff.

Will not ever eat here again. I've had two meals here recently and not been well the next day :( Such a shame as this used to be our favourite Chinese take away until it was bought out :(

Excellent food, ordered by phone and ready for collection in 15 mins. Delivery available with small charge, food hot and well presented. Recommend anything with black bean sauce, a favourite.

Fuimos para pescado y patatas fritas, etc. esta noche, chica (pelo rubio) en el mostrador era de chuparse el dedo para separar papel y limpiar la nariz con el dedo. Ni una vez ella dejar contador para lavarse las manos. Por suerte la mía, ella sólo envuelto envuelto el resto del personal de otros. La mía no ha comido, se lleva a la salud ambiental en la mañana.

Sadly . Even after writing them a letter which they didn't acknowledge I would never use this place again . All the Chinese food taste the same and there are better takeaways available . Fish and chips are mediocre :(

The service is friendly and the food is great! The value of the food is average but they are very generous, especially with the battered fish! I really like how the fish is big as you can share it. I also like the jacket potato with cheese and beans! Really hot and fresh! Would Recommend this takeaway to a friend.

I regularly get food from Fortune, and disagree with the other commenters. I've enjoyed almost every dish I've had: Kung Po king prawn is excellent, with generous amounts of fish. My usual is crispy chilli beef, £6 including rice and a can. It's a very standard, perfectly decent, unpretentious, western-tastes place.

All taste the same . Too much onion added to the food to bulk it up . Have used this Chinese for many years but the level off quality has gone right down . Better fish and chips just up the road. Also use an other Chinese now.

we ordered 2 different chow mien dishes and both were sloppy and tasteless - it wasn't even mixed up properly. Adding our own chilli sauce to make it have some flavour didn't even save the day. The chicken satay starter was just as vile - overlooked/burnt with runny/greasy satay sauce that had a distinct lack of peanut taste. BBQ ribs tasted burnt. Can't believe it took so long to cook such a load of crap

Ordered this evening and the food was beyond appalling! Veg fried rice had next to no vegetables in, same with egg fried rice. The rest was terrible too. Greasy and overcooked. Not even slightly worth the money

We decided to use this Chinese takeaway as out usual 'bens' was closed. My husband phoned through the order at 7.20pm and was told it would be an hour. At 21.05 he phoned again to be told. That the driver had just left and we were first on the list still no sign so phoned again to be told there were other deliveries! It's now 21.35 and no sign of takeaway so 2 hours late. NEVER AGAIN!!!
