We had a lovely fresh toastie and a delicious bacon barm with excellent coffee (latte and a flat white) - it was all soooooo nice! Lovely friendly and professional staff, from the easy and pleasant ordering experience (from a really delightful new member of staff - gr8 job!!), to top notch/quick service and VERY enjoyable eating :-) We highly recommended this cafe, and would like to thank everyone there for making it such a nice visit. We will definitely be back 👍 x

A friendly welcome and some excellent cakes on offer here; a great spot after a ride on the trails in Gisburn Forest.

An absolute shambles, no organisation at all. After queuing at least 15 mins I asked if there was someone who could give out the zog trail packs separate to having be in the same queue as the food...(cut the queue down quicker ). Then after queuing yet again for food later, only to be asked when I eventually got to coffee machine had i ordered.?? There was a sign put up at waist level to order by ice cream area ( madness ) no one could see this for all...the people ...yes that's right.. queuing . After saying to staff that this was ridiculous, she snapped back at me that they were doing their best and that it was busy because of school holidays....well Yes exactly but the holiday did not just pop up, everyone was aware of it so why could there not be more staff on duty. There was an man serving and rushing round with a Bob hat on....not a good look !, it was not just me that was moaning, just me that had the nerve to say anything. Yes I appreciate that you were doing your best and thank you for that...but if nothing is said the problem cannot be addressed ( hopefully it will ).

Surprised to find the tiny “cash only” notice stuck to the till, after queuing for 15 mins. Scraped together £19(!) for 3 drinks, one (cheap processed) ham children’s and one children’s cheese sandwhich. Had to wait a further 30 mins for two overpriced cold sandwiches. Rather gruff retort from the lady behind the counter who explained they only had two staff on duty that day. Surprisingly unprepared for the first day of half term. The Zog themed trail and footpaths were all great, as was the playground. Just take a picnic.

After a lovely walk in the forest we went to the cafe for a hot drink. It was 3.20 so 40 mins before closing time. My drink was served in a paper cup, I asked for a proper cup and was told it's take away cups now as closing soon yet people served after me had drinks served in a proper cup. No issues with paper cups it's the fact the man serving lied to me!

We stopped at the café after a walk around the forest. I ordered 2 coffees and 2 pannini. We sat outside as we had dogs. The coffees came out quickly. Then a waitress came out to say our pannini would be out in a couple of minutes. 15 minutes later they still were not with us. I ended up having to go in and get them. No credit cards accepted either.

We checked out this café before our walk on Friday January 12th 2018 and saw that the opening times were 10am to 4pm. We spoke to the lady who was in charge but no mention was made of early closing that day. We returned to the café at 3.15pm ready for a cup of tea and a bite to eat only to find it closed. We can only give it a poor rating for this kind of service.

Brilliantly stocked cafe with cracking prices to match, cup of tea for less then £2 how can you argue with that?

Some lovely food and friendly staff. Great place to relax and recover after a bike ride or walk in the forest. Chilli and soup were both excellent. Only negative point is the uncertain opening hours, it seems that every related web page says something different, several are hopelessly out of date. But it seems to be open most days now. Now called Gisburn Forest Hub Cafe, there's bike hire/shop attached (think they are separate businesses but same premises).

We stumbled across the Hub a couple of weeks ago by accident as we were looking for food. The food menu is only small however that is to be expected with the cooking facilities they have. We ordered a bowl of homemade chili and a tuna sandwich, along with homemade cake and coffee! The food is excellent, fresh and wholesome which is just what we were looking for. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were very chatty and helpful. We will be back!

This cafe has limited cooking facilities and therefore a limited menu, which is to be expected. However I had a long wait for beans on toast and a sandwich. The sandwich I could not finish. No doubt good for tea and cake.

After a couple of times round the blue route on a warm day we were ready for refreshments so were glad the cafe has opened. We both had a ham and cheese toastie on granary bread with side salad. It was one of the best toasties I've ever had, chunky ham, melty cheese and thick, squishy, seedy bread. The side salad was a delight - normally they're a boring bit of lettuce and tomato whereas this beauty included beetroot, celery and seeds. The coffee was drinkable but unfortunately my husband's walnut and date slice and my sponge cake looked great but were dry. The staff were fab. We'll be back for another toastie soon!

We stopped at the Forrest Den cafe while walking our dogs in the Forrest of Bowland - what a lovely place, all brand new, very well laid out - the staff is very friendly and we felt spoilt for choice while browsing the menu! The food was very nice and came with reasonable price tag - 10/10 all the way round! Definitely would recommend to anyone passing by, you won't be disappointed ;)

My wife and I came across this quaint tea shop quite by chance, as it is on the outskirts of the village and laid back from the road behind a small cobbled forecourt. On entering we found it contained eight tables and quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. We ordered coffees and sandwiches which were made to order and absolutely delicious.I shall definitely return and tell my friends about it.Im not certain of the opening hours,so will need to check before I return.I thoroughly recommend it.

Called into after visiting an attraction 10 minutes away. So glad we found it after a quick google map search. With a tired 2 year old some pub staff would pull their face but here they were great and so accommodating. They brought out his good first and one he got stuck in his mood changed. The food for all of us was great and we couldn’t finish it. The service was impeccable and it was great to see a lively, upbeat pub/restaurant/inn doing so well. Plenty of others including our local could learn a lot from them. We also loved the resident dogs coming to say hello. Thanks for a great end to a lovely, sunny Sunday.
