FM Caffe in Halton

Overpriced. I ordered a bacon sandwich. I think they had a shortage of bacon on the day of my visit. It was mainly thickly sliced bread. Food was fresh and service ok. The venue was clean and tidy. Overall disappointing.

Is this the same restaurant that many people said was excellent? I had the full English. The sausages were atrocious. Could taste and smell nothing of those. The sauce from the tinned tomatoes ran into everything on the plate. Bacon wasn’t tasty. Felt like I was ripped off at over £9.

Absolutely outstanding quality in food and service. the tables weren't sticky and the food was really fresh. A big stand out from the rest in the area.

Great breakfast, we were happy to find it. It came highly recommended by numerous locals. Staff was friendly and food excellent.

I stopped in here with my two daughters on a Sunday lunchtime. I had the English breakfast and the girls had a toastie and a baguette. All the food was spot on for the price and the coffee was very nice as well. The staff were very welcoming and friendly without being intrusive.

I call in usually 6 days a week when I am at home. The coffee is delicious as is the food. Staff are really friendly. It's really popular because everyone loves going there for food and drinks. Easily the best cafe in Widnes.

Never been in before as outside it doesn’t look that exciting. However, it was a pleasant surprise. It’s not a grease pit, the staff are lovely and welcoming, I didn’t have to wait long for my meal, which was a good decent size. Can recommend the vegetarian breakfast. Well done, owners. I shall frequent this place xx

This is a very busy cafe with excellent customer service. Portions really good and service was very quick and food piping hot.

Have only recently moved here. We have been to this cafe a few times and it does not disappoint. Very friendly welcome from all the staff and nothing is too much trouble. I had a toasted tea cake and my partner had a bacon toasties. I love their tea as they use fresh tea leaves.

Food is well priced and good standard staff are happy to be there grate place, every time i go the place i walk with a good feeling

I pop in here every so often when in the area. It is ideal when you want a snack or light bite or just a tea or coffee. Everything is prepared to order so there may be a wait when busy but at least you get t fresh. The staff are always friendly and for such a small place always give waiter/waitress service. Well priced as well unlike some competitors in the area

from the minute we walked into the fm caffe it felt right, lovely and clean all round, the staff all very pleasant and helpful and quite a large choice of food including vegetarian meals .. i had a small breakfast my partner jacket potato with ham and cheese plus a cappuccino and a tea for me.. mine was tea leaf, not bags and it was lovely,, this is a place to bear in mind,, we will return

Visit occasionally, but food and service excellent whenever visited. Prices reasonable for quality and quantity. Friendly venue for all age groups.

I’ve not been here for a while so it was the obvious choice for a recent Saturday breakfast, full English for all.Must say this venue still has it, we all received a lovely meal with top notch coffee, nice and clean it was a great choice.Shall return!

Have been to this cafe each time I visit Widnes. Warm and cosy and great staff. Good food and coffee. A short walk passing through the main road shopping area, heading south.

Was working locally and tried the full breakfast. It Was very good value and really tasty and would definitely go back.

Just a great place to meet up with friend's for half hour or an hour,service is quick and very polite,and it just feel's like a great place you want to be of a morning in particular,as opposed to the big coffee giant's who just herd you in and out,(And make you pay for it.)

Breakfast was swimming in liquid.Watery beans and tinned tomato juice. Great if you like that sort of thing.I don't like my breakfast to be soup with thick soggy bread they call toast. First and last visit.

Myself, my wife and 3 young children went for a spot of lunch, and for a moderately priced, quick and simple lunch, you cannot fault it. The food selection is big enough to cause you a selection dilemma, without being too overwhelming, and the food is all cooked fresh to order.

My Mum has introduced me to this lovely little cafe just on the edge of the Town Centre. Although it's next door to my favourite restaurant I had never been here but that all changed 2 weeks ago! The staff are very friendly and the service was quick and very attentive. He food is freshly cooked to order and nothing is too much trouble and they cater to everyone's needs. I've been twice now and would recommend it.

Visited for an early Saturday lunch. I had tuna melt panini which was ok my partner had chicken salad sandwich which was beautiful. Tender chicken and plenty of it, not too much sauce and lots of salad. The coffee was outstanding. service was prompt and staff were attentive and polite. We will definitely visit again.

Went here after the gym, told the lady behind the counter I was following a slimming world diet so I was very specific with what I wanted. Lady was very helpful and gave me exactly what I wanted, so I was able to stick to my diet. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Excellent service, I will definitely return.

Really surprised at this cafe. I am an avid italian food lover (its not just italian food, its cafe food etc) anyway, my usual favourite is bella italia, although i’ve been all the big italian places, ask italian, cassa italia etc but the spaghetti bol in this FM cafe is out of this world, so divine I took my daughter there and she was blown away and then I went with the family and this time I got the carbonara. Absolute perfection and all cooked fresh. There is so much taste to this food its just fantastic. A+++

Este es un pequeño y encantador café esquina, sobre la carretera del banco NatWest y Halton Haven. Es pequeño, pero bien vale la pena visitar! El desayuno inglés completo son preciosas! Sunday 19th February 2017 and we've just enjoyed are breakfast as always cooked and served too perfection. Are complements to the chef and waiting staff.

Simply a great place to go if you're into your speciality teas and coffees, amazing breakfasts too. Friendly staff and wheel chair access too.

FM Caffe is a small cafe in the heart of the town run by a Turkish guy.Staff are really friendly and helpful.Coffee is great and food is good. The Full english is huge.Prices are reasonable too.I have held meetings there on a regular basis.

Great place to get together with friends for a tasty cappuccino. Very friendly and welcoming cafe owners. Always busy. Based in the centre of town. They have a loyalty card that gives you a free coffee every 9th coffee you buy.

This is a little haven in the middle of Widnes where you can choose from wonderful, freshly-cooked pastas or a fab big breakfast among many other dishes. All appetites, ages and tastes are catered for and the staff couldn't be more welcoming. Best coffee in Widnes too plus lovely Suki teas.

We saw this evening menu on the board when we were having lunch one day, which by the way is always good. As it was my birthday a couple of days before we decided to try it. Three courses and a glass of wine for £21.95. The starter was meatballs on crusty bread, delicious, the main course was lamb shank served with rice and greek style potatoes, sooooo delicious, and a choice of desserts. The whole meal was outstanding, pleasant and freindly staff, not rushed in any way. I would definatly recommend this not sure how often they do these evenings but looking forward to the next one.I do visit this cafe mostly during the day and have had a range of meals from breakfasts to pasta's and salads I have never had anything that I didn't enjoy, every meal myself or co diners have ordered has been very good, service always with a smile and nothing to much trouble.

We had some nice tea and coffee there. But the best part was the food. Had 3 different pastas between us 3 and all were delightful! Not too pricey. And considering we arrived 20 mins before closing and still got served the service was fantastic.

I have visited the FM Café numerous times when I had cause to be in down town Widnes. My experience at the café has been outstanding on everyone of my visits. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food and drink are excellent value and the free Wi-Fi means you can keep up with email etc. while you enjoy a drink or meal. I shall certainly be visiting this café on my future visits to Widnes.

I always go FM Caffe for my caffeine fix when I'm in Widnes. The staff are always welcoming and they will make whatever food you like.

Come here often and have a full breakfast good value at just £4.85 always hot and tasty. Perfect for a stop off when out shopping

This really is one of the best cafes i have eaten in. Food is always cooked fresh while you are there. If you order a full english breakfast be prepared for a huge plateful. Absolutely brilliant value for money though. My Mum bless her always told me to only go to places where the locals go whether at home or abroad! Well that is definitely true of this cafe it is quite a meeting place for locals most days when i pass there i see people who i know having a cuppa and a chat. The owners are lovely people and the people who work there too. Definitely 100% recommend this cafe to anyone regardless of their culture, all foods are catered for.

Popped in for lunch today as seen reviews on TP although some of the furniture requires updating the place was ok.Staff was friendly and polite the wait was little lengthy but to be fair it was about 80% full, not sure if I would eat lunch again as would have been late back but would recommend for shoppers with plenty of time on their hands.

We regularly call here when in Widnes. There is a good selection of food to choose from. Quick, efficient and friendly service. We can't fault it. Never had a bad meal. Best cafe in Widnes.

Reasonable price for a variety of breakfasts that suit all the family. Ideal for the men as breakfasts are quite large and they also have good vegetarian options.

Lovely food here and always cooked fresh, pasta, salads, sandwiches and breakfasts, are all fabulous. They are even open on a Sunday for a lazy breakfast with scrummy thick buttered toast. A must visit if you are in Widnes town centre.

I had the best breakfast ever here! Also again and again! The portion is perfect! Your looking at spending £8 for a breakfast and a coffee which most would say is a lot but it's the best breakfast you'll ever get! I wouldn't mind black pudding with it but no criticism! The staff are if anything too friendly and that's perfect!

This is a hidden gem, it is a cosy place with inviting staff who who are very friendly and welcoming. Nice for a cup of coffee or a speciality tea. The food is also good from the paninis to the Greek breakfast. Worth a visit.

A very distinct and popular establishment with warm inviting staff, i went for the breakfast as a self treat.I am normally a coffee drinker through and through but the range of teas had me intrigued, so i took the advice on offer and opted for a pot - what a lovely culinary experience to have a proper cup of tea that has had thought and care attached.Pleas if you are in Widnes or the surrounding areas and fancy something different but refreshing please call to experience their expertise.

Top notch baristas know their stuff with the coffee and they have a good range of teas too. Food portions are sizeable and cooked fresh to order and served by welcoming staff. Even my Mum liked it and she's hard to impress!

Breakfast was just about warm, plates cold. Not very generous portions, one spoonful of beans if that. Shame really, tea nice but breakfast a big let down especially for the price.

This is the best coffee shop/eatery in Widnes by far. Always great service - they need bigger premises! Always busy but they deserve the popularity. Lovely coffee and toasties. Lovely cake always fresh. Can't praise it enough.

There are not many places around Widnes for a nice cooked breakfast. So after looking on Tripadvisor we stumbled across FM Caffe. We were really impressed. Clean,modern restaurant. Paid as we ordered so no hanging around afterwards for the bill. A full english cost £4.65 and it arrived really quickly. Well cooked, plenty of it and had the option of swapping items if necessary. Staff friendly and efficient would definitely go back - highly recommend to anyone looking to treat themselves to a good value, cooked breakfast.

Coffee was lovely, better than costa and a lot cheaper, tea was made with proper leave, the sandwiches we had was to die for,,,staff was very pleasant and helpful ,,,this is now our local place for a bite to eat when we now come into Widnes

We have eaten at FM a few times over the past couple of months. Service is always courteous & efficient and the cooked breakfasts exceptional. Starbucks etc could learn a trick or two about good coffee here! I understand that Friday/Saturday evenings will see a Tapas menu - hope to try it soon.

This was my 1st visit to this cafe and found to be exceptionally good, the staff were very pleasant and the place was very clean. On this occasion i wanted to try somewhere different and had a full english breakfast and tea and coffee, the tea is brewed a little different but great taste. the food serverd was cooked properly and hot, done on large plates depending on the size breakfast you prefer , it certainly sets you up for the day and would most certainly call again. i hadn't been advised from a reccomendation from anyone else , so it proved to try a refreshing change.

We have lunch here most weeks, fab fresh food, great coffee and the staff are always friendly. Relaxing atmosphere, definitely my fav destination for lunch

frowned at for sitting in the 'usual seat/table' of an obvious 'regular' them glared at when said 'regular' then arrived… staff seemed oblivious to this…needless to say will NEVER go there again… the 'oldies' have taken over this establishment one made it obvious that when they're there, no one else is welcome… pity as the staff seemed nice.

We visit this place once a week, I look forward to my pot of Earl Grey made with tea leaves(Suki tea) and my hubby thinks they make the best latte around! We always eat here too and really enjoy the fresh food but I would like to see a bit more choice on the bread side. We like the chilled out atmosphere and you can just sit and watch the world go by....or like me get ready for a good rummage in the weekly flea market held up the road!

This is a great cafe. You are always made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Teas and coffees are delicious and will be made to individual taste if needed. There is a comprehansive menu.The breakfasts are great, hot fresh and tasty and served promptly.Definately worth a visit even if it is only for a coffee and a natter with the friendly owners.
