Great food, great service. Only negative was being sat right next to the pizza oven which was obviously really hot. I think the seats should be away from the oven or something sort of air conditioning.

The restaurant was organised very poorly, they prioritised deliveroo orders over sit in guests which meant the food took for ever to come. Constant stream of deliveroo drivers coming into the restaurant and being asked to leave. The sides came before the pizzas and the drinks took ten minutes to come. All because the staff were too busy sorting out the takeaway orders and not the sit in dinners. Avoid and order online if you want quicker service.

Great pizza place, good atmosphere. We have spend around 100 pounds for four people, everyone enjoyed their meals and we came up with a collective opinion that you should come there.

The food was delicious! Really loved the courgette fritters, bolognese bites and polenta with burrata dishes. Nice atmosphere and good service.

Another below average pizza from you guys. F&A used to be epic but not any more it seems.

This place is fantastic. I usually go here for the menu in weekdays during my lunch break and they’re always nice and attentive, always bring food fast. I have to come some day for the cocktails as the vibe and the people working here really seem like the know what they’re doing.

Had a fantastic meal here last Saturday evening. Couldn't decide between the mushroom Bianco pizza or a tomato based vegan one so in the event my daughter and I had half of each!

We love theses pizzas, cooked in front of you. Pizza base great and loved the olives on top. Further Dough being tending too as you eat. Good lunch time deal, pizza, drink and dip for £10

I know this is a pizza place but if you go - get the arancini!! They were absolutely delightful. Genuinely the best I've ever had. The rest of the food was very well seasoned and tasted good too. The salad was slightly underwhelming but overall had a lovely time and yummy well made food!

Super disappointed - I really liked this place before, but the quality dropped significantly on my last visit yesterday. Pizza was soggy, broke apart so much I couldn’t eat it with my hands. Toppings just fell off with every bite I had lol. Tomato sauce was watery. Really mid.

So pleased this wonderful Eatery has reopened. The food is sublime, the atmosphere is fantastic and the staff and helpful and attentive

We had a booking at ABOE but it was very kindly closed without telling us so the bright pink lights drew us here. I haven't bene to F&A since its G Road/ Chelt Road shop but it was a great experience. The staff were so attentive, friendly and chatty and the pizzas were amazing. It was my bday and standing in the rain outside a shut ABOE was more than saved by Flour and Ash, thanks guys :)

A middle of the road 3/5 - slow drinks service, very fast on some of the food but it didn't all come out together. Pizzas were fine, but nothing special - one was a bit soggy. Parmesan Aïoli was great! Nothing bad enough to complain about. We'd come back, but would try other places first. Just fine.

Service - utterly dreadful. We felt incredibly annoyed having to pay a 12.5% service charge. optional?yet on the bill? 12.5% why not 10%? This is also Bristol, so the minimum wage and living wage are both in affect here. Robbed! Dreadful service, waited 24 minutes before receiving a menu or being asked for a drink. Every time we needed something we had to flag them down. The place was empty, yet they lacked any attentiveness. Food - bits were decent, aracini, excellent, good bread etc, pizzas were OK. I had lamb shoulder which had three chunks of lamb on, and the base was wet. Pizzarova has a better base, and Bosco has better pizzas. Atmosphere - was 530pm on a thursday night - I wont hold that against them hence the 3 stars

Early dinner with 1st Table app. Lovely staff, great food. Shared a margarita, very fresh green salad and a large bowl of chips cooked to perfection. 3 flavours of gelata, the best of which was the vegan chocolate. Definitely want to go back.

Pizza 🍕 with a difference. Very nice

Visited on Tuesday 13th February 2024. We were early as we were going to the theatre. We shared a pizza and some arancini both Bolognese and veggie. The arancini was delicious. I could have eaten it again. The pizza was beautiful and arrived very quickly. The service was great. I will definitely be going back. 🙂

Visited on a quiet Tuesday lunch time with my daughter and had the £10 adults meal deal which includes a 9” inch Marg (I paid an extra quid for prosciutto), dip (I went for the pesto mayo) and any soft drink. Food all superb, their sourdough pizzas and faultless and I’m obsessed with the dips. Kids meal deal at £10 is slightly higher end but the pasta and ice cream were both demolished with relish so worth it! Kids do eat free with an adults main though (Sun to Friday) - so next time I’d pay for a 12” regular pizza and get the kids meal free, I was just a bit flappy yesterday and hadnt worked out which was better value! (Doh…) Marked slightly lower for atmosphere just because it was a bit empty in there when we visited, but I’ve been when it’s busier and it’s very ‘buzzy.’ We love the decor and vibe.

The dough is nice but too chewy in ratio to the frugal amount of cheese. Disappointed.

Great spot. Had a lovely date here and the staff are brilliant. Kept us comfortable throughout our stay and the food is amazing. Wicked cocktails too.

The service is slow and we never really felt valued as customers. May as well have got takeaway. No apologies for forgetting our order. Pizza is okay, I’ve had better. Dips were the best bit. Such a shame because the atmosphere has the potential to be great. Try not to be misled by the glitzy front outside, as you may be disappointed.

I was really excited to come try what’s on offer here, however it ended up being quite mediocre. The tomato base was extremely watery, didn’t taste of much and the dough although delicious was rather on the chewy side. Chilli oil tasted quite cheap and was not spicy at all. Truffle fries were just okay, again tasted of some cheap truffle oil, would not rush back to have them again. Service was good, staff were super friendly and the overall vibe was pretty nice.

We manage to get a table at the bar on a very busy Friday eve . We never been or heard of this place . Please to surprised ! Pizzas were amazing ! Probably up there with the best ever …. Staff very nice and even though it was super busy they manage to chat to us , explaining about the new menu etc We definitely go back !

The pizza is decent but is expensive and nowhere near the standard of other pizza restaurants in Bristol and certainly not a patch on the old Flour & Ash. Ice creams had lumps of ice in them, service was slow and poor, starters were average. This place is ok but just not inspiring enough to return

It is an enchanting place and place, a true earthly paradise. Here you can breathe air that smells of the sea. In this place you eat divinely well. Both inside and outside to enjoy the view in a special way. However, it is always better to book first given the crowds at the weekend. The real specialty is the fish: the crab meat is special "crab" as the English say.

It's decent food, but nothing special and verrrrry pricey - esp with the 12.5% service charge (service was average). We had two pizza and two drinks between us and it was over 60 quid. If you're gonna charge over £30 per person for a pizza and a drink, it's gotta be better than this. In a word, meh.

Been here twice in last month for food. The Margherita is insanely good. 10/10 no question. Service is also always lovely and warm. Food very quick and I’ll be returning frequently. However, please please please change the tiramisu recipe, it’s so bad. My partner and I shared one, took one bite and couldn’t eat anymore. It tasted awful and. I thing like tiramisu. Other that that, everything is great

Literally the worst pizza i have ever had in my life. They charged a rediculous 16 pounds for a pizza with a nasty combination of toppings. They used cold!! stracciatella which had the texture of male sexual fluid. The sauce was clearly made with generic grocery store canned tomatoes which had the can's metal leeched into it. The mortadella they used was low quality deli meat. The service was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was very yuppie and tried to hard. I have never gagged eating a pizza in my life but i did here. I had to leave the restaurant to not vomit and its sitting like a rock in my stomach. How do you mess up a pizza this badly? Overpriced trash pizza. Do not come here.

Wood fired Neapolitan style pizza and Italian dishes served in a comfortable setting. We enjoyed some massive olives and a pint to begin. The arancini starter had plenty of sauce under, which was nice and tasty. The Frito misto was excellent. The prawns were particularly crisp and delicious. We also shared the fennel sausage, truffle béchamel and leek pizza - it was well worth the trip up to Bristol for. Such a nice change to a tomato base. We would definitely come again as the food was so nice, with plenty of other dishes that looked worth trying. Service and atmosphere were also nice for a Saturday lunchtime.

The website said it's open at 12, their own board at the front of the restaurant said it's open at 12 and even their menu said it's open at 12 but when I came there 3 times, each time I heard "sorry, we are open at 1 pm". Today I decided to wait till 1 pm and finally try their pizza. I needed to wait 15 minutes for someone to take my order which was odd because I was the only customer in the restaurant. I chose double pep pizza and nduja mayo. It was the first time when I saw in restaurant coffee being cheaper than coke (£3 vs £3.5)! The pizza arrived really fast in around 5 minutes. When I saw my pizza, I realised why the pizza was called "double pep", not: "double pepperoni". Pizza had mini pepperoni and way too much red bell pepper. Yeah, it had that info in the menu but I wasn't expecting to see that much of the pepper and having just mini pepperoni. I never seen added sweet bell pepper to the salty pepperoni pizza. It had some chilli added because the mini pepperoni itself wasn't spicy at all. The sauce was watery. The whole pizza tasted bland after all. It was really disappointing experience because that pizza cost £15 and taste just like any other chain shop pizza e.g. Domino's. Nduja mayo was good but nothing special. Flour & Ash is just an average pizza shop which can be skip without problems. You will not miss anything.

Fantastic pizzas didn't try anything else

Had a lovely pizza and a few drinks here for midweek lunch. The restaurant was fairly quiet when we arrived (12:15) but started to fill up as we left. The pizzas are good quality and tasty, the parmesan truffle fries were delicious and the staff and decor of the restaurant was very pleasant. They accepted cash which was great. Would definitely visit again

I have been visiting Flour and Ash for a long time now. Always good food and service. If there is a big party in it can get noisy but the staff have always found us a table where I can enjoy my meal. I have hearing problems and therefore find loud noise distressing but have always found the staff sympathetic.

Flour + Ash have twice provided us with an excellent takeout offer for our office. Very helpful staff. Perfect margherita, and excellent doughy crust with lovely charred air 'pockets'

Nice atmosphere, although can get a little loud in the evenings. Service was quick and the food for the most part was quite good, but too salty.

One star lost because Back of disabled door needs a damn good clean. Also all the goergous feature lighting needs a clean. Otherwise ,fabulous .

The homemade pizzas are delicious. The fries have a spectacular crunch. We will repeat for sure.

Best pizza in Bristol , possibly the world

Great pizza, my cocktail was also great. Staff were super friendly and accommodated us arriving 45 minutes early for our appointment.

Service was slow even though restaurant was quite, we had to ask for a second round of drinks, would have ordered more is the server has been more attentive. Informed about allergies at time of ordering, charcuterie board came out with pistachios after them confirming it was fine for those with a nut allergy. They did bring a fresh one out which is the only saving Grace from our experience, however I don’t think the response of “oops” was satisfactory due to the severity of what could’ve happen.

Very clean and stylish restaurant with delicious pizzas and a great lunch deal!

The food is very good, the portions are a good size. A nice variety of pizzas, and they are happy to amend bits if requested. We had the fritto misto, fried courgette, two pizzas and two limocello spritzs. The 2-4-1 on drinks was a great option for a Sunday brunch. We only managed to have a little of the pizza after the starters/small plates, and the staff were happy to box the rest of it to take home, including the dips. It is a bit annoying that the 12,5% service charge is added to the bill automatically, as I think it should be optional for customer to tip as much or as little (or at all) as they think it's suitable. The atmosphere and staff were friendlier and more attentive in the previous location. They were a bit slow to greet us, and did not acknowledge us when we were leaving when we said thank you and goodbye.

Poor and disinterested service highlighted our evening from order taking to no offer of second drinks or dessert to trying to get the bill. Pizza's were ok but hard to be positive when the experience left a lot to be desired.

This is a casual restaurant with Pizza being their speciality. We were a group of 5. It took a while after being given the menus to get the waiter's attention for drinks but these things happen...too early in our dining experience to be negative I thought...Our food orders were taken without a problem and 4 pizzas and one salami board later we were left to our own devices for the next 90 minutes. At no point were we asked if we wanted more drinks nor if we wanted dessert...to ask for the bill we had to keep looking around hopefully for someone to notice we needed something. Needless to say we removed the service charge which had been added to the bill. If this review seems a bit stunted it's because our dining experience was exactly that. It didn't matter what the food was like because of the completely disinterested service. Having said that, the 4 pizza eaters said their pizzas were just ok. My salami board however for £14.00 pounds consisting of 2 slices of 3 thinly sliced meats and some pickles was a complete waste of money.

The best four cheese pizza I've had in a while (with a soft thin crust and cheese galore). Their menu doesn't have many options, which in my experience usually means ingredients are fresh and food is well prepared. Very kind service, tidy place, nice indoor and outdoor seating areas, and nice background music. I'd definitely recommend it.

I absolutely love Flour & Ash and it's my go-to restaurant for the best tasting small plates and pizza in Bristol. The menu selection is perfect and the service exceptional. The drinks menu is also very impressive, with lots of delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. The decor is also stylish which helps elevate the restaurant from a standard pizzeria to a more sophisticated dining experience. All this is topped off with the most friendly and welcoming staff which makes you want to visit again and again. Whenever we take friends or family visiting us in Bristol they are also very impressed. Thank you Flour & Ash and keep doing what you're doing!

Good experience overall. Nice food and good service. The arancini is amazing, definitely recommend getting this if you’re going. The risotto is also very good. Unfortunately, like other reviews mention, the pizza I got for my main was very soggy. It was so wet that everytime I picked up a slice everything just fell off, I had to eat it with a knife and fork. If the pizza’s could be made where they aren’t so soggy in the middle then this place would get 5/5 stars. Still finished strong though with some lovely desserts. The chocolate mousse was delicious and the panna cotta was even nicer!

Very Dirty. Pizza sludge in middle, pork dry and lacking flavour, tempura super sickly & greasy and arrived 5 after all other dishes finished, also presented in a horrible mess. Cutlery dirty, thick dirt under the table, table sticky. Just cuz you’re going for casual cool, doesn’t mean you don’t clean. Pizza chef looked like he could wring his dirty clothes out with sweat. Just a massively horrible experience. Add to that the overly familiar service staff calling me “Matie” and my wife “darlin” when they are about 20 years younger than us. 1. Quality training required 2. Hands on management 3. Deep deep clean needed 4. Quality control on kitchen output 5. Install basic hygiene before you get shut down Massive disappointment

Pizza was ok, base slightly soggy. Expensive for what you get. Realised next day when I checked my bill they had taken 12.5% service charge which was almost £16 without asking. Waitress had written "optional" on the bill but when she came with the card machine had added it without consent. I spoke to Jake & asked for my refund which I expect in the next 3 days. This seems to be normal practice for this restaurant so check your bills people before paying. Will definitely not be going back & I am also going to make a complaint to training standards.

Went for dinner to catch up with friends, the service and food was excellent. I definitely recommend the quattro formaggi! My friends food all looked brilliant as well.

Second time I've been here and it is a great little spot - first time was with a big group and the second time a 1-2-1 meal with a friend. The food cant be faulted, their pizza is tasty but the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service was a lot less attentive the second time I went (when it was just 2 of us) but we felt a little ignored by the front window, compared to other patrons in the booths, and had to flag down someone to take our order after a good wait and again when we wanted second drinks. The servers were really friendly though and perhaps they were a person down, either way it wouldnt prevent me from going back or recommending the place.

Delicious pizza and the design of the interior space is pleasant. The space needs to be better ventilated.

Best pizzas we’ve had in Bristol so far! The ox cheek pizza was special. But we the margherita was our favourite, it’s simple yet the best judge of how good a pizza place is.

AMAAAAZING pizza, definitely recommend. The staff are super friendly & service was excellent. Food arrived quickly and was PERFECTLY cooked. Had some interesting flavour combos which worked really well too (meatballs and Brussels sprouts was a winner). Nice vibe and great cocktails. Look forward to going back soon!

Had a nice lunch here on the hoof. My wife had pizza which was extremely great and delicious - I had the belly pork. This could have been a bit more as I came away just slightly not full up even with a desert - BUT saying that the food was exceptional and good value for money. The staff were friendly

Rip off. Ordered a cannelloni dish as a main (which cost £18), and the plate had 3 small cannellonis in it like a starter. Pizzas mediocre, service good.

Quality Italian restaurants are abundant in many continents around the world. Flour & Ash perhaps isn't one of them. Had the meatballs - could taste a lot of chilies. But not much else. Whilst my partner had the honey-chicken minus the chilies on request. However, it was also minus flavour and all seemed rather bland. Other members of our party went for the vegan options - again nothing really to rave about. This said, the sides were tasty, such as the courgettes and kale, and worth the extra price. What was also lacking was a menus choice. Lots of pizza but no Lasagna. Ravioli, Spaghetti Alla Carbonara for example. Service was fine and price average (apart from the rather pricey wine!) but overall not a world's finest.

Joe and the chef at Flour & Ash hosted an incredible dinner for me and my (now) fiancee. The team weren't just obliging, they were genuinely excited to help curate an experience for us - and went over-and-above by organising a special menu with all my partner's fav foods. Enthusiasm for incredible hospitality: 10/10 The culinary skills to match it: 10/10. Can't thank the team enough!

Very good pizza, the real pizza, not the English thing...

What a lovely Saturday night! Busy but not hectic, attentive service without being overbearing and some interesting flavour combinations for the food. Give it a whirl and enjoy, but don't be surprised if your starter and main/pizza arrives at the same time causing table overload.

The 4 course menu for £28 was amazing. The quality of the food was fantastic. The restaurant had a great atmosphere. We had alcoholic cocktails and mocktails and both were delicious. I love that it’s dog friendly. There aren’t many places you can go for a meal of this quality with your well behaved furry friend. Looking forward to the next special menu day. Thanks everyone!
