I love this little restaurant. Staff always friendly and food is good value, you can take your own drink and pay corkage. Had a fabulous evening here to celebrate my birthday on Saturday. Thank you Florence.

The pasta was incredibly disappointing. Very bland, made from a sauce jar, cheese added to give it taste. I specifically asked the waitress if the carbonara was good and she highly recommended it. For £13 it was honestly the worst value for money pasta and quality I’ve ever had.

Just finishing off a roofing job at Totterdown, I thought I stop in here today for my lunch. I am so happy I did found the best bolognese ever made.

Food delicious. Service can be a bit slow but nothing drastic. Atmosphere is lovely but it can be a bit crammed and loud when full.

Florence is one of me and my girlfriends favourite restaurants! The food is always sensational and would recommend the pizza to everyone (whilst also being priced extremely reasonably!) The staff go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and will do everything in their power to ensure you have the best time at their restaurant!

We were in a bit of a hurry, they had our pizzas ready in 10 min and they were delicious. 10/10

This place is amazing. We just popped over for a pizza and it was simply a wonderful place to find, the staff were simply amazing and the pizzas absolutely lovely. Am telling everyone about it - although it was already pretty full on a Tuesday so suspect it's not that much of a secret.

Me and my friend for dinner in this lovely place - very nice food, great selection and good choice’s of wine. My friend had a pizza and 2 pizzas as takeaway and I had prawn linguine, absolutely amazing. Will definitely come back soon.

We came to have Dinner at this restaurant as the menu looked interesting and were pleased to get a table even though we had not booked in advance. Having ordered 2 starters and 2 mains the first course arrived within 10 minutes or so. After we had finished it took around 15 minutes before the table was cleared ready for the main, and after a further 10 or so minutes fresh cutlery arrived. And then we waited, waited and waited. 45 minutes after finishing our starter we decided to check on the progress of our main course only to find out that this part of our order hadn't made it into the kitchen and we would have to wait some more for it to be prepared. With this our patience had run its course and we decided the only option was to leave, still hungry and by now somewhat frustrated. As only about a quarter of the tables were occupied the lack of attention cannot be excused by staff being too busy. This was our first and, needless to say, last visit.

The Florence is a complete hidden Gem in south Bristol, amazing pizzas and standout service

Our local food place. Staff are pleasant and accommodating. Food is excellent. Will definitely be back again.

I am a stranger to Bristol but found myself looking for a place for lunch. The local pubs were not open until later in the afternoon but a local recommended Florence and pointed up toward the Tesco. It was just after noon and only a few people there but this was our best choice. We sat outside although the inside looked pleasant and comfy. The service was great, cold beer and a nice white wine (at £4!) for my wife. We'd eaten pizza recently so we both had pasta with meatballs and a great tasting red sauce for me and the arrabiata for my with which was nice and spicy. So the food was very good at reasonable prices and the service was friendly and prompt (but not rushed).

Really good food at a reasonable price.

Had a pizza and desert. Wonderful! The pistachio ice cream desert was a WOW. For me a must try. Extremely tasty.

A really nice restaurant and food always lush.

I have been the restaurant many times throughout the years living in Bristol . I have visited with family many of times this being a regular restaurant of choice for us, but this will be the last. Myself and a few family members came this evening The service was slow due to the front of house members talking amongst themselves playing on the phones. I felt robbed of my money as I had to ask various of times for some service for even our dishes to be cleared, compliments to the chef as the pasta was made and beautifully plated but a shame the restaurant is so poorly run in the front of house of staff are very lazy won’t be returning as I was a reliable customer. Will not return

Very noisy on the evening I went. Ordered stuffed mushrooms for starter. Dire! Basically 2 mushrooms with tasteless mozzarella on top.

Came with a group who all ordered pizzas that looked really nice - I tried a slice of my partner’s and it was good. Sadly, I ordered the spinach and ricotta tortellini which was very obviously not homemade and I would put money on it having been bought from the Tesco next door. The service was also pretty slow and our food didn’t all come out together.

We just had a gorgeous meal at Florence on our visit to Bristol The service was extremely pleasant and efficient . When we placed our order for two starters and two mains , the chef came out to explain to us that he thought two starters may be too much. The advice was excellent ! We settled on one -melted mozzarella -which was delicious and definitely generous enough to share . The main courses of spinach ricotta and lasagne were also delicious. The food and wine were of high quality and were very reasonable .

Lasagne was average not one of my best but atmosphere was very nice. Only issue it is BYO but on bill was charged £10 fee for having our own drinks even though I was drinking from Diet Pepsi cans!

Burrata pizza - WOW. Couldn't recommended it highly enough - a must try in Bristol.

Forgot a main meal as everyone else's food came out with a flippant apology - if you would call it that - said it's coming, which meant they'd go and do it... Didn't even knock a peroni off. Gone down hill..

A lovely warm refuge while exploring the Totterdown Art Trail on a cold November day. Excellent coffee and reasonably priced snack of nachos. Friendly service. I’ll be back for a full meal sometime.

Outstanding service, quality & value.

The Staff are friendly enough. BOYD, but not soft drinks. Albeit they sell Italian Food, to a fashion, but more of an Italian stop and go cafe than a restaurant. Food was very basic.

Well thought of 'real' Italian pasta/pizza resaurant in gentrified Totterdown. Ultra simple decore in cafe style with no pretentiousness at all. Service is fine, with no flourishes, food is fine as long as you like pasta and pizza. I should add that my pizza Romano and my partners Carbonara, were truely delicious. Not exacly first choice for romantic dining but it is what it is- an ultra casual family restauant.

We had a family gathering and had left it too late to book a table so phoned directly and ordered a takeaway, you can only order over the phone not on the web site by the way and collection only. Everything was of their usual high standard, lovely.

I spent the majority of our visit waiting. For service, for food. So I had a lot of time to ponder just how somewhere with so many staff and a massive pizza oven can be so painfully slow and unattentive. When our food finally arrived (two small pizzas) it wasn't even that good.

A bit quiet this time of day. Not really what I expected but food cooked fresh and tasted good.

Pre concert meal and our 3rd visit. No so hidden gem any more. Very popular resturant. We advise to book and be prepared to wait as the food is cooked fresh and pizza is very popular.

I came here with my daughter and granddaughter. We had two kinds of salads, a platter of garlic bread and other bits and pieces. Plus tea and apple juice. The barista remembered our long order without writing it down! Such efficiency! All very pleasant and the food was divine! It's the first time I've been here but my daughter is a regular patron as she lives nearby. Such a great place, too, with wonderful decor, plenty of seating both outside and inside. Highly recommended!

Reason being, I feel for an Italian the menu is a bit lacking on mains. Excluding the easy option of having a pizza. Would be great to see some specials. I'll still be coming here as its a cheap night out with friends.

Pizza was quite oily, not the best sauce either but very nice dough.

Went to this Italian restaurant yesterday evening, what a cute little place! Seating both inside and outside, lovely to have the option. There are toilet facilities available just near the bar. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. A wide choice of food to choose from on the menu, I had the king prawn pasta dish and it was yum! Washed that down with a nice birra morreti.

My partner and I popped in today. We both had pasta. He had carbonara and I had the king prawn penne. The food was absolutely delicious. Plenty of it and really tasty. Would highly recommend. 2 dishes for under £20. Delicious and a bargain to boot! You can also bring your own!

It's very informal and relaxing. The pizza vegan option is just having no cheese. Not ideal but the pizza is still very nice.

went in here for mother's day with a party of 12 very relaxed atmosphere, chefs were very polite and food was nice .really nice place to meet and eat I definitely will go back again .you can bring your own beer or go next door in Tesco and get your cold beer then the restaurant charge you £1.50 for a glass perfect

Old style Italian. Great value and good food

Always very polite and friendly. Can get very busy but it's nice to sit on the outside seating on a nice day watching the World go by and they've got outside heaters now. Very nice food and reasonably-priced.

We had our Christmas business night out here and what a great time we had! Even with a big group of us (all Covid jabbed and tested BTW!) to cope with the food was excellent. Something for everyone on the menu and all fab and tasty. Good portion sizes and great value as always. Thank you.

Went in just for a coffee, was very bitter.

Small cosy restaurant serving Italian food. We had lasagne and a pizza served fresh from the pizza oven which were both delicious. Good food, relaxed atmosphere and very good value for money.

Very low quality pasta, menu said "home made tortellini" came out and was definitely just pre packeted, probably from tesco. Miss sold and way over priced for what it was.

Lovely little Bistro , reasonable prices food lovely , friendly staff

Went here for the first time, as its only down the road I'd thought we would give it a go as I love Italian food. The service we received was friendly. We ordered 2 starters to share and 2 pasta dishes, the portion sizes were larger than we expected and the value for money was amazing. The food was delicious. Didn't realise you could bring your own drinks which is really good. I will definitely visit again!
