Love it here and been coming for a while now. Love that you can sit outside and eat undercover . It's a really sheltered spot. The breakfasts are the best in Hornsea! All staff are lovely especially Coreen so lovely 😍

Visited Floral Hall cafe for our Christmas lunch with our local painting group Art With a Heart and had a great time. Our meal was preordered from an excellent selection and our table was ready and beautifully decorated. The food was very good and hot and plenty of it and the service by the staff and manager was prompt and attentive. Couldn’t have been more helpful. We haven’t always had the best of experiences at the Floral Hall but this year was great. Thanks to the manager and all the staff. GGJ.

We always have a delicious meal and drinks when we visit this lovely cafe. No matter how busy it is, the service and efficency never falters. Spotlessly clean too. The food is freshly made and great value. I would highly recommend their quiche, with plenty of filling and soft pastry. Homemade cakes are also a must. An added bonus is the sea view. All in all a definite favourite place of ours.

We have been visiting this cafe for a few years now and always been happy with the food, the service and the cost. However recently the sausages have been replaced with a much cheaper option which i guess is to reduce their costs. Personally I would rather pay a little extra to have decent quality sausages again

Visited for lunch today. We found the service just too long! Nearly an hour to receive our food after my husband had stood in a queue for 20 minutes to order it!! He collected our drinks as he ordered, but we had finished them long before the food arrived. So had to queue again! The food was very average. My grand daughter had sausage and chips. The sausages were very dry (obviously cooked in a fryer). I ordered a ham salad but tbh I think it was a ham mixture kind of cheap meat. Wouldn’t eat there again but would pop in for a coffee if there wasn’t any queues.

Brilliant place with helpful staff. Only thing spoiling it was people allowing dogs to sit on chairs and putting paws on tables very unhygienic. Mentioned it to staff who agreed caused them more work sanitising . Suggest signs put up saying seats for humans not dogs as many young children use these facilities. Or make it dog friendly where benches are .

Lovely sit in by the window seeing the view of beach. However at the time we visit it can be very busy especially school break up. The queue can be long and slow but they are doing their best. When we arrived the wait is 40 minutes. This had happen twice. The foods was ok but the price was reasonable. However it does fill you up. They do take away hot drinks too. The staff are great to serve and polite. The cafe itself it a good size but lacking wheelchair disability Space. There are toilet facilities, a book shop reuse, picture display and small toys table

Popular venue and worth a visit. Good for families and young children. Dogs allowed at seating areas outside. Long story short...we sat and waited patiently for over an hour for our sons birthday breakfast. Kept watching others who were served after us receive their meals first. Waitress noticed we were still waiting and she went to investigate. Apparently our order had been taken and receipt issued yet 'somehow' the kitchen didnt receive our order. Despite only being 10am it was quite busy. Apology given and free drinks provided. Food here is generally very good, there is ample choice on the menu catering for all tastes and ages, however perhaps more staff are needed during busy periods and especially weekends and bank holidays?? My advice is if your food doesn't arrive in reasonable time, then check the order has gone into the kitchen and ask how long it will be! Go early or avoid peak times to avoid long waiting. Would be nice to see toasties on the breakfast menu, they can't take that much longer to cook!! Hard working staff, lovely clean premisies. Perfect location with spacious indoor and outdoor seating. Very reasonable prices. Plenty of free parking (when not so busy)

Asking if we could have some fresher eggs... the waiter took the plates away and seconds later, brought them back with no eggs. 10 minutes later, when our food was completely cold he returned with fresh eggs on a plate absolutely swimming in oil. I asked to see the manager, who happened to be the 'cook'. Obviously in a bad mood, she was confrontational and refusing to accept that the food and service was very poor. This is by fare the best place to eat and feel safe from COVID-19 the staff have gone all out to provide a safe environment for its customers. You are not allowed to sit at a table until the chairs and table have been sanitised. You are given your cutlery on entering to order which is spotlessly clean and shinny, if you have forgotten anything the staff will get it for you. I watched on Monday staff working very very hard outside keeping tables and chairs clean asking customers to stand until the table and chair had been cleans down with sanitiser the tables and chairs are spaced out you don’t feel threatened in anyway. The food is very well cooked and enjoyable. Weird times we’re in but that didn’t stop Hornsea High St heaving with traffic & people so we went towards the sea front & found this Cafe. Free parking was a bonus & we went in with some trepidation about “being inside” (we could have gone sat outside but the sea breeze was too cool) Staff all wore the see through visors & we had to give name & tel no (track & trace) Together with a one way system & hand sanitisers. All just made us feel safe but the warm smiles behind all that also made it welcoming! Typical fast food menu such as scampi, sausages, toasties, panini together with cold sandwiches & variety of coffees etc. We had a Cheese Toastie (£4.70) Tuna Melt Toastie (very pricey at £6.10) portion of chips (£2.70) & 2 Teas (£1.45ea). The food came out very quickly with the Toasties each having a nice side salad. The chips were hot, crispy on the outside & nicely soft within. Carbs & Carbs (Bread & chips) was probably a mistake & we struggled to finish it all off. However it was good Cafe Grub! We were lucky enough to be placed on a sea view window table which was excellent. A very good 1st Cafe experience since lockdown for us.

Situated on the seafront it gives great views. On entering you find a traditional cafe with plenty of seating. Prime location is in the window seats nearest to the promenade but they are usually full so you decide where to sit from available seats. Once you’ve selected your meal from the home cooked menu you order at the till. Wait times can vary but usually it’s not too long till you’re presented with a good plate of food. If the mains menu doesn’t fill you there’s always the puds!! Sponge puds are particularly tasty. It’s always busy with a mix of locals and visitors. Dogs aren’t allowed in the cafe but there is a covered seating area outside where your pooch can took in to your meal.

Don’t normally do negative reviews but felt that this needs one. Well done volunteers for your dedication. This cafe provides a great community atmosphere.. you can feel it ... however ... if you want us none locals to return step up the quality of the food . I don’t mind paying a bit more for decent chips and decent fish fingers for my grandchild .. just something that I would give her myself cooked properly .. not deep fried from frozen . I understand that the cafe gets busy but I don’t mind waiting for proper food . Your reputation will rise and your clientele will pay .. after all lots of us visit the numerous ‘garden centres ‘ which have become glorified cafes and all the farm shops that sell overpriced meals . And we pay !!! So try and up your game with the food and go from there. Your overheads can’t be huge if your staff are volunteering so take advantage and get sorted before the summer .. you’ll make a killing and you’ll earn more for your improvements ... and then we’ll come back and sample the food again .think of the grey pound !!!! . but till you do sorry we’ll look elsewhere next time we visit Hornsea.

We visited Hornsea early in September with our granddaughter and after walking round for a while we went to the Floral Hall Cafe. The weather was not to good so we went inside (they do have seats and tables outside which have a nice view of the sea). Inside it looked surprisingly large with plenty of tables available, there was a short wait whilst others were served so we checked the menu on the table and was surprised at the variety of food being offered. This included all day breakfasts and hot sandwiches, assorted main meals, cold sandwiches, burgers, jacket potatoes, hot and cold drinks and a variety of sweet dishes and pastries. On Sundays they also serve roast dinners. There is also a childrens menu. A variety of alcoholic drinks are also available. We decided on pastries for all of us with a pot of tea for two, the granddaughter had a hot chocolate. The food and drinks were very nice, the service was quite quick and the cafe did look clean and tidy. The staff were helpful and polite and asked if everything was OK, which it was.The prices were very reasonable and the cafe was reasonably busy considering the weather. We would be coming again in the future, hopefully in better weather.

The slow inefficient queuing system is still being used in the twenty first century, so when you have your hot food you then queue to be,slowly, served your hot drink, and finally you queue again to pay. Six adults, two teens and two children and nothing much to complain about except we had a query regarding an item for a teenager with a nut allergy and it took a long while to get an answer and the answer was "well it doesn't say nuts on the packaging", that doesn't really help as cross contamination can be a problem as well. Considering the recent high profile case with Pret a Manger I would like to think that all catering establishments realised that people can die and that ingredients of all products sold should be freely and quickly available. I am not saying that the Floral Hall Cafe is better or worse than any other food establishment, it's just that not knowing the answer laid the seeds of doubt so we decided not to purchase the product.

I don't normally like going to cafe's I prefer pubs, but the Floral Hall is different. I love the view of the sea. We had two teas a hot chocolate and a few biscuits, the service was fast and friendly the price of everything together was fantastic.

Not so much a "cafe", more like a cafeteria! Not really "floral" either. But apart from the misleading title this place really meets the needs of its customers so well.

We are a family of four and went in for breakfast. All the food was great, including the vegetarian choice, food arrived quickly and was a good price.

Stopped off for a snack and cake. Service was good and tables around us were promptly cleaned. Scones were great. Toilets were amazing for seaside cafe. Would recommend.

Typical cafe style food served promptly. Nice outdoor space on the grass adjacent to the bowling green - ideal for dogs and a warm day. Large-ish menu - although we just had a breakfast cob. Not the best quality ingrediants, but also not overly expensive.

What a lovely cafe, set less than 50metres from the sea and providing a good range of food at very reasonable prices. There is plenty of room inside and out, and the outside covered seating is dog friendly. A great asset to a beautifully town.

A good place to have a snack, lots of variety overlooking the outdoor bowls rink, the floral hall is very dated but the food is good, it serves snacks, meals, teas and coffees, it has a daily specials menu and is very reasonably priced, it has very nice outdoor seating in the summer and is really quite pleasent

Honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve had in this town regards ordering. With being told it was “dog friendly” in turn actually you’re not you have to sit outside... on the grass with wet chairs/tables that are sinking into the ground staff weren’t friendly about this either! We wanted a breakfast, they’d stopped serving even though we were there before 11:30. In the end we went to another establishment where we could actually sit inside with the dogs.

Myself and 15 friends from High Farm Routh came to Floral hall last night, 14th December for our Xmas dinner. We have come here for the last 3 years and found the meals to be okay, however last night was terrible! I understand it's a busy time of year and there were a lit of people to serve. The meals were all cold, we asked to have them heated up and the meals cane back Warmer, however the meal was terrible! Roast potatoes were white, hardly any vegetables. I had roast neat which was okay. The other critism was the young people dancing with bottles and glasses of beer in there hands! One bottle went flying with beer on the dance floor. Sorry to say we won't be coming next year! The staff serving were very efficient.

We always enjoy visiting the floral hall cafe .On the last 2 occasions during the quieter season we have taken our dog inside along with others who had done the same.Went today cold ,damp weather, after the Rememberance Service ,took the dog asked to leave.I don't mind leaving the dog in the car ,however because we had walked a long way from where we parked the car the dog had to stay with us.So sat out in the cold eating hot food .I had a look for a sign saying no dogs allowed inside ,I couldn't see one.On cold days in future we shall be visiting the large establishment on Bridlington sea front which is dog friendly inside and out.No one seems to have been damaged by the dogs that frequent this establishment. It's a shame the Floral Hall at Hornsea can't take a leaf out of their book.I'm sure no one with dogs would want to sit inside on nice days but adverse weather days why not?

Went in and ordered some food, asked if we could take it out, not a problem, when we ordered a jacket potato they said we wasn’t allowed to take this out, I thought this was stupid! We ordered 2 sausage sandwiches and 1 panini which came to a ridiculous price of £12.70! The panini was £5.70! Which was small! Went back later to speak to the manager about not being able to get the jacket potato to take out and she said she wouldn’t recommend it, but whether she recommends it or not, can I not decide if I want to take something out? So don’t go back and wouldn’t recommend this place!

We have eaten here several times whilst staying in our static caravan on the coast. We have never been disappointed, Today we had breakfast here. A party of 4 we had a mixture of breakfasts and one of our party opted for scrambled eggs on toast. The food was hot, well cooked and very tasty. At just under £30 with toast and with drinks we felt it was good value. A lot of locals eat here and that is usually a sign of good food at good prices, that maxim is spot on for the Floral Hall.
