Relaxing, clean and welcoming spot that does amazing coffee and a great range of food options. Delicious cupcake and ice creams for the little ones and iced coffee for me.

The Lounge is ok but nothing special, we had coffee and chocolate, and then a cheese toastie and a bowl of vegetable soup, as I said its ok, everything was alright, but nothing special

Coffee was ok food not so nice, the panini we had was not good bacon didn’t seem cooked would have told the staff if anyone would have asked if everything was ok. Sadly we won’t be back much better and cleaner places locally.

Took the family here for breakfast portion sizes good and great value for money.staff very friendly and the device is quick highly recommended.

Amount of cafes I have visited at this time, I feel fairly lucky to have to a decent experience. I do wish to say that, although this cafe is like a “hidden gem”” & independence business, there is several things I would like to point out.. The lounge does acceptable size portions & varieties of fillings for sandwich, baguettes, cakes & panini’s.. I ordered chicken & cheese panini, tea & hot chocolate. Arrived in a miniature narrow plate (very small) I think the Mayo was definitely over done, small amount of cheese (melted at the side) small bits of chicken.. very tricky to eat (real mess). However, this business does lack hygiene!! The staff here may not been taking notice of sweeping floors & cleaning tables!! Our table looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned for days?? (Disgusting) bits of cake & sandwich stuck in the table gaps… not impressed! I think I’ll give this cafe a miss..

Majority of the food is unfortunately bought at a very low cost from Tesco, and you can tell. The quality is shocking and the taste is bland. Staff weren’t at all accommodating either. Won’t be going back in a flash.

Just had our first Thai takeaway from The Lounge and we will be back! We ordered the set menu and had so much delicious food for £26! Great value for such delicious food. We ordered the chicken cashew and massaman. Thank you to The Lounge!

A brilliant little cafe. I work in Flitwick and The Lounge is always a great place to grab a bite to eat at lunchtime. Great food, cozy setting and a lovely atmosphere. Always enjoy popping in and having a chat with the wonderful Jo, one of the staff members. Highly recommend!

Don’t waste your money. My friend and I popped in for a bacon sandwich.... it was awful😕 What appeared to be value bread, no butter or margarine used and very little filling leaving you eating two slices of dry bread. I actually sent the first one back because the bread was stale but the second was only slightly better. I was informed that they get fresh bread everyday so maybe it’s because the bread is of an inferior quality that it was unacceptable? My complaint was basically ignored and as we left we heard a sarcastic “ thank you, come again”.... I think not!! We did have a coffee and a cake which were fine , probably because they cakes are “brought in”. My advice is to avoid and go to one of the other coffee shops of which there are two in Flitwick.

Go there weekly for a break after supermarket shopping. Good range of reasonable priced coffees and cakes. Usually quite busy but extra room at back. You also get the coffee and cake delivered to your table

Been a couple of times. Cakes are ok. Had a cheese and ham croissant this morning. It came toasted, which was fine, but the middle was cold which made it very strange. But it is handy and there is plenty of parking in Tesco.

The lounge serves good coffee and as a restiment to this its often busy but dont be put of as there is a bigger room at the back. Light meals and cskes are also available cook on the premises. Staff are always frrindly and polite. Great place to go for a coffee and cake

Popped in this lunchtime for a bite to eat whilst car was being valeted at the new place at Tesco Not eaten there before but it was good for the money Enjoyed my tuna jacket Mocha was huge!

I have been before and had decent service, however I came in last week and ordered a couple of hot drinks and a cake. The staff were messing about in the kitchen testing the drinks and the young man who took our order completely forgot to make them.

Love coming here such friendly helpful staff. I've been a regular since the day they opened and will continue to visit here with friends and family

The Lounge looks tiny and a bit scruffy from the outside but don't be put off. It's bigger than it looks and the staff are invariably very friendly and cheerful. Excellent value for coffee and cake - recommended,

We have been to the Lounge several times and have always been satisfied with the service and food. Today was I hope a blip! At 1.45pm when we went to order we were told there was no chicken mayo, no jacket potatoes and they only had two baguettes. We ordered our food and drinks and then found they had not included one baguette, one coffee and one croissant.

5 of us popped into Lounge Coffee House in Flitwick for a drink. Very friendly and polite service. Comfortable seating. Coffee tasted nice as well. Didn’t have any food but it looked good. Drinks were bought to the table where we were sitting. Nice touch.

Visited here with a friend after we had been to Woburn Safari Park for her birthday treat. What a wonderful find!! Very warm friendly welcome, lovely banter and an amazing range of drinks and cakes. My friend had a chocolate muffin - which came with a candle on top!! and a pot of tea. I had the strawberry banoffi tart and a gingerbread latte. All were delicious and reasonably priced. Was not surprised to find regular customers popping in for treats, wish we lived nearer¡¡¡

I love going to the lounge, every time I come the owners and staff are always friendly. The coffee is a lot better than leading brands and the food is really good aswell.

Necesitaba salir para algo de leche, así que decidió hacer más de nuestro caminar y parar por un bocado de comida. Mi hijo tenía un Croissant de jamón y queso y tuve un jamón y queso sandwichera. Con una lata de gaseosa y un café. Gran servicio y buena relación calidad-precio y muy bien para tomar un descanso de la rutina de las labores de fin de semana!

Vine a un domingo (no estoy seguro de apertura) de la hora de comer y tenía un jamón y queso, café y una Sandwichera casa tarta de ciruela hecho y fue todo muy sabroso.

I've visited Flitwick Lounge Coffee House on quite a few occasions and alway found a welcome and good food.

Right next door to Tescos this is crying out to be converted to a Harris & Hoole so we can benefit from good food, good coffee and great service. Until then, don't expect any of the former. Picture attached of the lovely presented , slightly under baked, food as exhibit A.

The lounge is a family run coffee shop with a good selection of sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes, cakes and ice cream. It is a great place to meet friends or to catch a few quiet moments before visiting the supermarket next door, or the Friday market. Parking is no problem. It is the first place my grandchildren ask to go if they are offered a treat after a library visit.

Family run,nice selection of coffee,cakes and snacks.Outside it is not much to look at but inside is better.Shame there was a bit of a language problem when I was served and only got 1 of the 2 drinks I ordered!

Ok for a quick stop. Not sure of the reason for all the rave reviews though. Exterior is unappealing. Interior is better but bit of a tribute to Costa.Jacket potato was a proper baked one and good. Cakes a little bit expensive at £3 a slice but good.

Pop in here on a regular basis with family when out and about. Little girl loves going in to have her babycino and gingerbread man. Staff are great and make a fuss of her. Good coffee and choice of sweet or savoury snacks. Nice feel to place that is used by those having a drink whilst reading or on laptop, those meeting friends or local trades people popping in for a snack.Keep those gingerbreads coming.

Great little independent coffee shop, staff are attentive and friendly.Drinks and food, super and fresh. Great value for money. The extension was a fab idea too as sometimes a squeeze with a pushchair.

Come here quite often with the kids. Great for a toastie and a coffee. Can't really go wrong toastie, tray bake and a coffee for a fiver.

Went to have my car cleaned atTesco's new hand car wash, we didn't need shopping so wanted to try The Coffe house while waiting for my car to be cleaned.

but not special.....you will get a decent coffee, sandwich or cake but service is rather indifferent.But it provides a service to the local community so don't knock it too much.

This café offers lovely freshly made smoothies which our children love. The sandwiches, jacket potatoes and cakes we have had there have always been good and the coffees are better value than Costa! Service there is always good.

A group of us lunch here every week from work - we pre-order as we only have an hour. Service is prompt and the staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a wide choice of cakes and variations on the sandwich theme; also jacket potatoes with various fillings. Food is good quality, freshly made. Coffee is excellent. The recent extension at the rear is a vast improvement! Good value for money.

So although the sun was shining there was a slight nip in the air. I was here so whilst I awaited tesco to open after their incident I decided to grab a cheeky Skinny Hazlenut Latte. Firstly I use to live up the road and for over a year oast this place and never been in. Shame on me. This is a hidden gem. Coffee is excellent and in par with Costa (and I'm a big Costa fan).Outside it might look like a small coffee house with a few chairs that are not what u would call comfy chill out... however step into the back and its like comfort heaven. Log effect fire... leather sofa that I baged quickly to slouch on. .. and comfy seats... then theirs another section further back which has a feeling of elegance.... 3 coffee shops in one!!!

My daughter and I went for a treat, my daughter had a sundae I had a coffee.we ordered and sat down to wait for our order which took 5 mins, but I had to go and get. The table was dirty and there were a few ants crawling about.They need to up there game now they have a Costa in town.

Popped in for a coffee with my husband and grandaughter. Was disappointed that they did not meet the needs of another customer whose hot beverage had gone cold because she was feeding her young infant. When the customer asked if her drink could be warmed up they refused. Have some sympathy for feeding mothers..........

Visited for lunch with my mum. This is a great place the staff are the best . Its never to much trouble for them to chat to the customers they are brilliant. Had Coffee and jacket potatoes. for the price this is very good value been quite a few times my mum loves it. The lounge has a real feel of community and you see the regulars meeting there that's what we need in Flitwick. well done and be back soon keep up the good work.

Peppermint tea was fine. Coffee I had to send back, was like it was filtered through a potato sack. The young chap was cheery, the other person had a bit of attitude. Got a better coffee at the pub next door. Oh and they don't have wifi.. They rely on tescos and I couldn't get it to work on laptop or phone.

Had a selection of baked potatoes, hot drinks and traybakes- pretty good selection at fair prices, however service, although swift, gave food out at different times for group of 3, and the quality was fair however we couldn't enjoy the meals together as food is given out when dishes are ready- rather than planned to be made together. I hope the fairly young front of house team can pull it together for our next visit.

Use this coffee lounge regularity and it never fails to disappoint .Food selection is somewhat limited but what is available is good well presented and agreeable. Would recommend for a break from shopping or whilst awaiting trains to London

Went to the Lounge and found the staff all very friendly and they got our order spot on there was 7 of us and not one thing was wrong food and coffee was amazing I'm not too sure why they have negative comments or reviews this is by far the best coffee shop I've been in thank you to all the staff

Great little shop, I left pondering just how they make their milkshakes quite so milky. Staff very friendly and certainly know their stuff. Will definitely be visiting again when I am next in the area. Keep up the good work guys!

I have visited the Lounge in Flitwick on many occasions and have never been disappointed. I feel the food, coffee and snacks are good value for money. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. I feel really at home here.On a sunny day, the garden is an absolute joy and I can easily imagine sitting in a small coffee garden in the south of Sorrento. Keep up the GREAT work!!!!!

Been to the Coffee House on a few occasions and would agree that (probably through lack of proper training) the staff always seem unfriendly and not entirely sure what they are supposed to be doing. With a little bit of training this Coffee House could really take off as there is no direct competition in Flitwick. I would also agree that they need to review their prices. At the prices they are charging customers are going to expect top quality service, food and coffee. I will be visiting the Coffee House again and hope that they read the reviews and use them constructively.

This place is almost always busy in the mornings. Their pastries and cookies are great! Their breakfasts are good too but everything is super over priced! 1.75 GBP for a 99 Flake!

I have to admit that I am a devotee of Starbucks, and I am always reluctant to buy my coffee anywhere else (especially the dreaded Costa - always awful coffee there), so I am already quite hard to please, but I have visited The Lounge on 4 occasions since their opening, so I am not basing the following review on a single visit, and I have encountered the same problems on each visit. Firstly, the staff are severely lacking in customer service skills. They are all very young (the ones I've seen anyway) and come with the pre-requisite teenage surliness. Secondly, on the occasions I have visited, despite it not being overly busy, there have been dirty cups and crockery left on vacated tables with no staff member making any attempt to clean them up. Thirdly, the standard of coffee is poor. I met a work colleague there and we both had cappuccino's. Neither of us could finish them as they were very bitter - a sign that the coffee has been over-extracted. This can happen for numerous reasons, and happens a LOT in Costa, but is a sign that the server has not had decent barista training. On the other occasions I have had sub-par iced coffee and latte's. Finally, their prices are ridiculous. They have priced themselves on a par with major high street coffee chains but they need to realise they are a provincial, small, very average coffee shop in a provincial, small, very average town.

Flitwick is in desperate need of a coffee house so this place was well anticipated...I've been a few times now at different times of the day and have been mostly disappointed. Despite having broad opening hours I find that it must only have a narrow window where it actually provides a full service. Going early in the morning means they are still setting up and going late in the afternoon means they are closing down. This makes for quite an unwelcoming environment. It's a shame really because this could be a real "place to go" otherwise.

Visited a few times and always enjoyed it. Good coffee here and the staff are friendly. Definitely no complaints about the cakes either!

I go to the Lounge quite often, but this morning when I ordered my coffee (small black Americano with an extra shot, with room at the top for milk, but please don't add milk). The server made my coffee, but added too much hot water to the cup before adding the shots. When she added the shots, she then had to pour out some of the coffee to make room for all the shots. So what I ended up with wasn't full 3 shots of coffee that I'd paid for and ultimately a crappy weak cup of coffee. Please, please, please, if you're making coffee, don't add too much water at the beginning! You can add more later on if it's too strong. I'll probably go back here, because when they get my order right, it's a really good cup of coffee, but I'll make sure that I'm even more specific in my instructions to make sure I don't have a stuff up like today.

"Their milkshakes brought all my boys to the yarrrrddd!!" Absolutely delisious! I would recommend the Oreo Shake!! Lovely friendly staff, looking forward to my next trip there!

I've been here many time since they opened in December last year. I always have an enjoyable experience. Coffee is always good, food is always served promptly and is tasty. Maybe the reviewer below had come to the shop just after a rush, as I know that the shop does get really busy at weekends.

It was saturday and I popped in for an early lunch. The Cafe was quiet with more than half of the tables free, but few were actually available as many of the tables had not been cleared or wiped. I ordered a jacket potato and asked for a tumbler of water. The first chair that I went to sit in was covered in crumbs. Second time lucky, I had a view accross the road to the library so I could log into their wifi. The jacket potato arrived promptly, however, it was accompanied by a tired set of salad and handfull of crisps! I hadn't been aware that the jacket came with anything, had I been told I would have asked not to have the crisps. That tumbler of water, it did arrive, ten minutes after the jacket when I asked for the third time.So, maybe it was just a busy day...

Had a great coffee and service. If the shop was bigger it would be perfect! Flitwick doesnt have many coffee shops but it has a good one at the Lounge!

The lounge's Oreo Milkshakes are the best!! I tried one for the first time a couple of weeks ago and can't stop buying them now! I've had 4 in the last week! I definitely recommend them. The setup is very welcoming and cosy and the staff are really friendly. Lots of choice for cakes and a nice selection of drinks!

I come here on a regular basis not only for the good food and amazing milkshakes but for the friendly, welcoming staff that make this place! They are always polite, always there to help and just make visiting here a delight!The food is always lovely and fresh and the cakes are such good value for the very generous portion sizes! These negative comments are so silly, how can people expect fresh food if they don't allow people a few minutes to cook it. I would definitely recommend visiting here if you come to Flitwick!

It states open at 8.30am. Girl arrives at 8.34am no apology, at 8.40am asks what I want, I said a cappuccino and a croissant....to be told there are none until she bakes them!!! What's the point of opening at 8.30am and not being able to offer me food until what was likely to be 9/9.15am!!! I got there early before a 9am appointment elsewhere to have breakfast and a coffee. By the way the coffee is FAB. Bitterly disappointed. No apology for opening late, no food available, freezing inside as just opened. My suggestion to the owner....staff to arrive at 8am and have food available and a warm cosy inviting environment by advertised opening 8.30am OR state opens at 8.30am food not available until 9am. COLD AND HUNGRY.

agreeable it was early ,but food should always be edible , at 8 am we wanted a baguette as we were taking a long train journey , the part baked baguette was still raw even though i asked if the display roll was as if it came as they were uncooked , ready for panini or toasting , I was told no all rolls are cooked fresh phew sitting on the train i found the baguette .to be uncooked the filling was lacking taste and subsistence . just an off day maybe , i will visit again and see .

Until I tried The Lounge, coffee wasn't worth having in Flitwick. It was excellent and far superior to the big names. Congratulations to all concerned. Only downside it is only a small cafe so a table isn't guaranteed. I managed to get a seat at the window bar area and watched the world go by. Very enjoyable!

I have recently visited this establishment, and have returned many times. This place is faultless! Very welcoming atmosphere to have a break from shopping and grab a coffee and cake. Or even have a light lunch. I myself have been on the move and have grabbed a coffee in passing and the service was very fast and efficient. This is a must to visit if you are passing.

I've not eaten in here, and their selection of gluten and dairy free food is exceptionally limited. However, staff are friendly, coffee and drinks are nice. Worth a visit if you want a coffee and slice of cake.

I like to go in and have a coffee and cake after shopping next door in Tesco. Prices are quite reasonable and cakes always fresh.

Excellent coffee house incorporating a proper barista that has thorough knowledge of coffee making.Small from the outside, however stepping inside is well worth the visit, a nice friendly atmosphere with great attention to detail.Well worth the visit, wish I stayed closer.

Took my mum here for Mother's Day this year after noticing a promotion in the window while I was shopping at Tesco and wasn't disappointed! Despite getting a scrumptious slice of cake for only £1.50 each with our regular teas, the staff were incredibly accomodating and I've never met friendlier management in any food/drink establishment. Having been back there myself after every weekly shop since, I can safely say that it wasn't a one off and it's still as warm and welcoming as it was the first time, and the value for money has always been fantastic. Would recommend to anyone in the Flitwick area, whether you live here or are just passing through!

Called in the lounge spotted going by Tescos,great Coffee very comfortable chairs and the best homemade carrot cake took me back to chilhood when nans were the best cooks going,well worth a visit very relaxing atmosphere

I've been here a few times after running with my friend or just to treat myself. It's quirky, friendly and makes THE most amazing caramel soya lattes!! Just recently on one of our rare hotter days we sat out in the little patio terrace at the back of shop which is fairly new. It's a real sun trap and with the water feature on we soon forgot we were in Flitwick next to Tesco's it felt more like we were abroad!! Totally recommended!!

I went into the Coffee Lounge recently while waiting for my daughter to finish her ballet lesson. The coffee was excellent and the service really friendly. It is clean, spacious and good value - would highly recommend!

What a fantastic establishment! A much needed venue, in Flitwick. Staff are fantastic and very friendly. Has a beautiful atmosphere, enhance by a lovely garden area. If your looking for food or coffee of the highest quality, this is the place.
