Lovely little pub for an afternoon out a short walk from Leigh station in Kent. Quite a bit of history here I suspect but I must admit I really haven't looked into this place too much. Mainly a restaurant (?) but has some tables out the front with several more out the back and I'm going to say has good wheelchair access. The Guinness was pretty good as was the Three Acre Brewery's Session Pale and Best Bitter

I'm sure I visited the pub about 20 years ago and didn't think much of it then. It's has a huge makeover since then! It's a nice modern pub, in an old building but has kept its charm. I didn't eat here but it seemed very popular on that front. Might be worth ringing ahead.

Good food and good service, unfortunately the food was terrible. The bread was stale and what was supposed to be olive oil was clear in colour and tasted more like sunflower oil. The food tasted like it had been cooked the day before and microwaved.

So much nicer with the new owners. Food menu looks good and the ridiculously priced lime and soda (was £3.40 a pint) is now a normal price. Looks like it's going to be open now as well rather than the random hours the old owners kept. Thank goodness we have our Village pub back !

On our search for the best roast dinner we decided to give Fleur De Lis a go. Was not expecting much as it’s a chain pub but it was pretty good and surprised me. I went for the nut roast in a bid to cutting down my meat and it didn’t disappoint. Was really lovely but very filling so couldn’t finish it as I needed to save some room for dessert as the Sunday lunch is a set menu of £26 for two course - there is also a 3 course option. None of the starter options jumped out at me so opted for a main and dessert. So roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings for me are the toughest to get right and how everyone likes them. I loved the Yorkshire, felt really homemade and doughy not the airy types you often get so for me this was a winner. The rest was all pretty good. I had the rum and ginger cake for dessert which was gorgeous, it was like a sticky toffee pudding, sweet but the ginger balanced it well so I finished every single bit. Atmosphere wise, not much of an atmosphere and when we first walked into a table as we entered I felt like I was intruding a very local pub. Although a small restaurant it didn’t feel cramped and the decor is pretty nice, but the abandoned fish/lobster tank was a bit of an eye sore. Staff were really good and very attentive. My only criticism is a bit overpriced in comparisons to others locally and would have liked the option to just have one course.

Lovely pub with exceptional food on offer. The seafood options are great, we did however order from the bar menu and had a burger. One of the best I have had at a pub in ages, homemade as they come slightly pink in the middle. Great offering of beers and ales. Staff were lovely.

Lovely roast lunch and nice bottle of wine. Staff dealing with a packed service but our food was out in perfect time. Under new management with new chef (particularly good fish dishes eg red mullet, hake, scallops and bacon) - very worth trying - beer garden is being done up as well and offers a nice sun trap

Disappointed... Whilst the setting is beautiful and staff are attentive, the food wasn't great, we only had the "bar menu" but as a chef, the food left a lot to be desired, no chips which I found peculiar, the burger was OK but the salsa was vinegary and not needed in my opinion, the pork balls were awful, just fat inside and no pork, the vegan burger dry and too many chick peas, it's simple stuff and easy to correct.

Very disappointing. First visit and it came highly recommended but it seems that the very recent change of management has yet to bed down. A refreshingly different choice of starters. Main course options more usual pub staples. We ordered starters and main courses with a bottle of wine. Starters were good. Wine didn't arrive with our food and, when we asked after it, they said "oh yes, sorry" then came back and asked which wine we'd ordered. It arrived in time for the main course. I ordered a medium rare ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce (£22). The steak was cooked medium well done. The sauce did not arrive with the meal and I had to ask after it. They had forgotten it and then it appeared in a jug not much bigger than a thimble and was very watery. My steak was almost cold by then. The sauce was not enough (the steak was dry and over cooked) and so I asked for more. It then arrived in a ramekin - how do you pour from a ramekin? Will not return. Our friends who had recommended it without knowing of the change in management were mortified and embarrassed.

Pub seems ok, however it was a little chaotic on my visit. The pub as a building is lovely, set in a lovely village. It has a good outside area to sit in both outside the front and in the beer garden at the back. The service was ok but could do better in my opinion. Considering my party got to the pub just after 1pm I would have expected it to be busier than it was. The party of people I was had pre-ordered food although I am not sure if that helped or not.

This place has special skills to make horrible burgers and awful service . My partner and our children were deeply disappointed about the quality of it. Burger bun was so dry, it was falling to pieces, salad looked tired and surely not crunchy. Seemed like all the ingredients were stored for weeks before served. Sorry to say, but can get better quality on bootsale. Not to mention that our restroom is busy caused by the lamb burger. What a wonderful gift to take home...

Was there today for a mother's day lunch. Pub is lovely, clean and great location. However upon arriving we waited at the bar for 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. There were 2 bar staff there and I understand this must of been a busy day however a nod or hello would of been welcoming. Only 1 member of our group ordered a starter (muscles) which I believe he enjoyed but gave my 2 year old the bread. My partner then realised there was a large bit of mould on the bread. He then went to the bar to call a member of staff over which seemed to be an issue straight away. Management apologised and offered us a free round of drinks. The food was average at best but what did really ruin our experience was having the pubs dog sitting around our ankles waiting for scraps. Now we love dogs and dog friendly pubs but this was very uncomfortable and annoying having a dog sit there pretty much begging for food while we were eating. One of the staff must of heard us say something as she called the dog over and shouted this is a pub not a posh restaurant. I found this extremely rude and unnecessary. Not everyone is a dog lover let alone letting there pet sit around paying customers and waiting for scraps. Won't be coming back again... could get over the issue with the mouldy bread and food not being amazing but having staff being rude to paying customers is just not on!

Ate in the restaurant two nights running as we stayed at the hotel whilst visiting family. The service is excellent - Beth and Naomi made us, our dog and our family members feel welcome. We were all particularly impressed with their memories as they didn't write anything down but our orders were spot on, and we had some allergens to consider too! The food here is always fantastic, their chef cooks everything to perfection and its delicious. A good range of drinks available including some delicious wines. It a wonderfully cozy dog friendly pub and restaurant.

Fantastic food with great choice, good portions & quality, and a menu catering for all dietary requirements (we were a group of three with me having a gluten intolerance and another being vegan). We had a really warm welcome from the general manager and the team and we were well looked after by them. We all had different meals / desserts and they were all fabulous. We all commented on how good our food was. None of us are local & this was a first visit for all - it was chosen as a suitable place to meet as it was an hours drive for each of us. The panna cotta was WOW & could be very dangerous for me, if I was local! Thank you for making our meet-up wonderful and we will be back to try some more dishes. We also had a lovely walk after lunch along the river with the ChiChon🐾
