Late lunch with daughter after visit to Knole Park. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Service and food both excellent. Very happy to visit again when opportunity arises.

We had a fairly appaling experience. Bad food and service. They took our mains off the bill but I won't be rushing back. Sad as it used to be really good.

I had my 50th birthday meal and the experience was amazing, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Plus the singing of Happy Birthday was spot on!!

Tried this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend ,right near to the stag theatre which we was going too,restaurant decor and toilets done to high spec ,food was amazing .We had the four way satay with dips ,the dips reminded us so much of our holidays in Thailand spot on ,also tried the caramelised pork belly best dish of the night ,rising star red curry accompanied with garlic pepper steamed noodle ,sadly the noodles was not for us lacking taste and sadly both dishes arrived at our table cold ,which had to be sent back ,I don’t want to pick faults on the staff has they was polite friendly courteous,but if you have to send your food back because it was cold a little apology would be suffice . Apart from that loved the food nice tasty and spicy especially the prawn crackers alas not the noodles ,we will definitely come back to this restaurant and try more of the food on the menu

The food was very nice and the staff was very friendly. We went for lunch, their set menu lunch prices were very competitive too!

WARNING! AVOID, WAS SERVED MEAT AS A VEGETARIAN!! I ate here last month on 09.09.24 and ordered a vegetable Thai green curry. Something obviously went wrong in the kitchen and I was brought out a chicken one. Because the chicken was hidden in the sauce, I ate a few bites before realising, which was a horrible experience!!! Luckily this did not make me ill but it makes me concerned from a contamination point of view for those with allergies that there is not enough care and attention in giving the customer the correct dish! I told the waiter and they then brought me the correct dish, however, I was only offered minimal apologies and no compensation whatsoever despite this being a very negative experience. As I had been a fan of GS previously, I decided to just let it go at the time. However, later in the same month after eating at the Maidstone Giggling Squid Branch, one of our party came down with food poisoning! Therefore, I thought after two serious incidents in a row it was important to write my review to warn customers to avoid eating at giggling squid!!! Furthermore, no compensation was offered for the food poisoning at Maidstone, therefore I won't bother reporting being served meat as a vegetarian as I'm sure they won't take any actions to resolve this!! Avoid and eat elsewhere!!! Note- if a manager is reading this and genuinely wants to resolve the situation, please do feel free to reach out and I will update my review to accurately reflect any actions taken to resolve the situation!

Had dinner at The Giggling Squid (Sevenoaks) after a days hiking. Food was excellent - full of flavour, well presented well cooked - and it was great to see a wide range of vegan options. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and exceptionally helpful. Premises were clean and well cared for and held a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely return should I be in the Sevenoaks area again.

Delivered food. Amazing food delivered without any plastic packaging which my friend and I really appreciate! My friend is both Gluten free and vegan. We both had very yummy food. Thank you very much.

10/10 Thai food, really enjoyed the tapas on the lunch menu

Our first experience of Thai food - as had heard it was very hot and spicy. On a friend's recommendation we tried the Thai Green Curry and were blown away with the flavour, Not too hot at all, just tasty with a gentle warmth. The excellent service made the experience 5 star. We'll definitely be back!

WARNING. Ate here a couple of weeks ago and told staff I had a food allergy as they had failed to ask me. They checked the food I had ordered and asked me to change one of my choices which of course I did. Having eaten pork dumplings (whole) my friend noticed that they also had mushrooms in. I queried it with staff and on them looking it up they confirmed there was . I had now eaten them and spent the next 3 days suffering an allergic reaction. Do not trust staff to check on allergens this could have been another fatality due to negligence! They have admitted full responsibility for not following guidelines. Offered me a free meal in return !!!! Not happening

Every single time we come to the Giggling Squid in Sevenoaks we’re met with perfect service. The manager is always lovely especially Edward. Always met with a smile and they’re very accommodating towards allergies as well. Not a single bad thing to say about this place!

Sorry guys I was disappointed. Been to you loads of times and absolutely loved it.came a month ago and had jungle curry. It now has braised beef instead of strip of beef,the portions have shrunk and the price hawhatsd eegone up. Popped in last night and had green curry with chicken. Three small pieces of chicken. What's happened? Haven't given up.

Me and my boyfriend had a lovely experience here last night. My boyfriend is a Coeliac so we ordered from a great selection of gluten free dishes on the menu. We were really surprised at how many dishes were gluten free and they came labelled from the kitchen too. A new regular place for us for sure.

Food arrived cold Asked for it to be sent back to the kitchen The waiter took it a fellow waiter who appeared to be poking his finger into the dishes to check the temperature The food was average and certainly not real Thai ( my wife who was dining with me is Thai) We though we would give it one more try and we not go again

Had green Thai curry, not much chicken in it! Nor beef in the beef dish. The gluten-free menu is available, but you need to use a QI code to see it. Though it does say a printed version is available. Otherwise, it was good.

Food was really really good. However, I feel like there wasn’t enough staff on. As they weren’t very attentive. I can see that they were busy but I feel maybe they should have more people on so they can offer a better service. The atmosphere was good, but would be nice if the music was a little louder. My favourite Thai dish is a Massaman curry, when I saw they had a lamb shank Massaman I just had to get it. It DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The lamb was so tender and succulent would definitely recommend.

We didn't book but chanced our luck for dinner on Saturday and the team were so accommodating in getting us a table and looking after us. Food was great and lots of variety for me as gluten free. George was an excellent server and we had a lovely meal.

Lovely looking restaurant, friendly and attentive staff , but food was very bland , for Thai food that’s saying something.

What an absolute find!! As it was mid-week, it was very quiet, which initially concerned me. We decided to chance it anyway. We started with cocktails, which were delicious and pretty. The food was outstanding for the money. The best salt and pepper squid I've ever had (and I have tried a lot). We also had the Chubby Pork Cheeks and they were beautifully cooked and so tender. The portion size was good too. However, the taste bomb that was the mushrooms and crispy tofu in tamarind sauce wrapped in some roti was epic. I couldn't stop eating it for the flavour alone. The staff were attentive but not overpowering. They were friendly and a good laugh actually. Have already recommended and would definitely return to try some other yummy looking dishes. Although it shall be hard not to revert to the same tasty dishes knowing how good they were. Great decision to eat here.

It’s been a while since I’ve had such a good meal! We went hiking in Knole Park and worked up quite an appetite. The food felt both authentic and inspired fusion and most was absolutely scrumptious! Highlights: prawn crackers, money bags, papaya salad (oof spicy but oh so good), salt and pepper squid, morning glory. Was also quite impressed with the ice cream dessert selection: jasmine rice, black sesame and pina colada! On top of it, service was attentive and excellent!

Was looking forward to going here as heard great things and certainly wasn’t let down. The food was incredible (had the beef and pork cheek) and the service was genuinely the most friendly and helpful i had seen in a while! Only negative is you need to add an option to tip on the card machine because your staff here deserve it!

Ate here a year ago, both myself and my partner were sick after. We tried it again just recently thinking it may have been a coincidence but same result. Won’t be eating here ever again.

Amazing lunch at Giggling Squid restaurant in Sevenoaks. Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food and great selection of cocktails. I also loved the design of the restaurant, it was very creative. The place also sells Giggling Squid cook book with all the recipes that you can recreate at home! I’ve got the book now, but still am planning to visit the restaurant again

This is my 3rd visit however today it was very disappointing. The restaurant was not busy and there was approximately 5 staff, we received our meal which didn’t disappoint however the service was dreadful, no checking in to see if meal was ok, no dessert menu shared or indeed checked to see if we would like coffee etc. Waited ages to get someone’s attention to pay only to discover there was a service charge of £15.00! I am not one to shy away from tipping but given the dreadful service it did not warrant a service charge! Very disappointed!

Although been to a giggling squid before, wanted to add a review for the fantastic service in Sevenoaks, friendly and personable. Thanks to the team had a great lunch. Food was spot on too.

Appalling service, waited 25 mins for an apology and still wasn't really sorted. Avoiding from now on.

My absolute favourite restaurant. Food is incredible, service always good and a beautiful setting.

Visited this weekend after a very very long time when I remember it fondly. Service was very mediocre, having to ask for fresh cutlery and napkins when your main hits the table is my pet peeve. The squid was delicious and had the showstopper for mains, the slow cooked beef green curry didn’t taste authentic and the beef was slimy, the rice that came with it was very over cooked and the prawns very small and dry. Kids meals were very average. Service charge was added to the bill for a tiny table of 3 and incorrect items added on the bill I queried it and it was removed. I love to tip where tip is deserved but not in this instance. Sadly we will not be returning.

Decided to have a quick lunch at The Giggling Squid. Served by Gem (and another gentleman) who was polite and courteous. Had the Salt and Pepper set and it was delicious! Well fried/cooked. Their coffee was nice and fragrant, smooth and strong..just how I like it. Would happily come again!

Absolutely fantastic meal. The food was really thought about and the flavours worked really well together. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Service is beyond slow. Waitress charged me double my bill and didn’t change it until I pointed it out. Delivery is always complicated and they never come to the right address.

I have ordered several times from this place. It's never been great-just ok- food but I think it is hard to find good Thai food in UK. Today I had a chicken pad thai. The dish was awful. It was more like a sauce based stir fry. Not nice at all.

I took my daughter for Linner (late lunch/early dinner) today for her birthday. Service was attentive and fast and the food was sublime. I have lived in the Far East, and the satay was easily the best and most authentic I have had outside Malaysia/Indonesia/Thailand. The portions are generous and value for money. We had to get a doggy-bag, which was in the form of a cute pink paper tub. My daughter can recommend the lychee cocktail! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back! PS. I also love the decor!

Great food and amazing service, the staff are brilliant! We didn’t book and the staff did everything to accommodate us. Really good friendly atmosphere and we’ll be back again to try more from the delicious menu!

We could smell the food from round the corner. Food is so well cooked and flavoured. Can't find a single fault with the food. Service was excellent. We were served by Edward, who made our cocktails and took or order. Such a gent. Gemma brought the food and she had the foresight to change our table before squeezing the food on a small table. Will definitely recommend this place.

Food is always excellent here but the service can be hit and miss....it takes a long time to get the attention of the staff. Otherwise great place.

Popped in here for a quick lunch pre-Christmas in December 2023. The wife and I had two daughters in tow, one big & one small. The staff were friendly, helpful and made recommendations to us. They also picked up on the fact that we were hoping to be quick without us having to ask, which made a big difference. We ordered a few of the lunch tapas sets, which gave us a great variety of food and about the right amount. My favourite was the slow cooked beef green curry, but it was all very tasty - and quick! Will definitely try to come back here again

Take out last night was awful. Lukewarm slimy brown mess of noodles and very few vegetables - chucked most of it away

We arrived late (in normal Spanish time) for dinner and without any problem: they seated us quickly, they served us diligently, and all the service was positive. The food was delicious, and with how cold it was, it came in warm! Highly recommended

Honestly the best food I’ve eaten out in a long time. We had the lunch special. Perfectly portioned, amazing tastes and beautiful presented. 100% recommend. The restaurant itself is also gorgeously decorated.

I went there solo on a Saturday evening at rush hour as I craved a Pad Thai. They managed to accompany me and look after me so well. Also, their home made Black Sesame ice cream is to die for! A MUST TRY!

Giggling squid does a good job at making Thai cuisine more accessible for an English palate, however with a team of Thai chefs in the kitchen the food maintains it’s authenticity.

Was delicious and lovely staff who looked after us well. Had nice mocktails and a lovely pudding.

Table booked for six service was poor from beginning to end we had to wait 30 mins for 1st drinks to arrive not impressed with food all looked the same time after time we waited for drinks in the end we asked for bill cancelled drinks and left Will not be returning

Sunday 1st October 2023. My son booked table for 4. The staff were pleasant but I’m sorry to say the meal was disappointing. I personally would not go again. His Birthday, his treat, he was also disappointed for us. Very sad as my son and grandson had eaten takeaway from this establishment which they had enjoyed very much. Hence our visit.

Lovely friendly staff and delicious food. One small negative is that they like to close quite promptly in the evening so recommend you don't get a table too late.

Superb service and delicious food!

We are always there when we are around this area. Food seems authentic, fresh, crispy where it should be and soft in the middle. Food service is quite slow, but generally everything else works perfectly.

Been once before and was great but this time we was given the table next to ours food and wasn’t told before we’d eaten it all as I ordered pad Thai and was given a noodle dish and my boyfriend ordered sticky chicken and got a chicken dish so didn’t question it until our actual food came out and was served to the table next to us and they realised what had happened. The food I got was really spicy and I can’t handle spice so didn’t eat much of it luckily my boyfriend enjoyed whatever food the lady on the table next to us ordered. Then the manager asked us to just pay for the food we had! I said we didn’t order this and I haven’t eaten mine so wouldn’t be happy paying for it. She gave us our bill with the stuff we actually ordered on and I had to ask for a discount for the inconvenience. The bill was around £75 and she took off about £20. I feel like we should have got our meal completely free as it was their mess up and not ours.

Food is very good. Too salty at times for me. But this is the modern way to put too much salt on dishes!

I can't deny the food is excellent, tasty, filling and well presented. The only small gripe was that the shared starter was dripping through the bottom of the bamboo tray and thus through the gap between the tables making a sticky mess on the floor. Not really some that could be rectified at the time.

First time to giggling squid and it was a good experience! We walked in and they made space for us and a buggy and were very friendly! The food came out quickly and the portion sizes were good. I had the lamb shank which was very well spiced and morish! One thing that could have been better was the desert, we had the trio of them. Two of the trio of deserts just lacked some flavor and considering the price was a bit of a let down. But overall this was a good experience, good food and excellent service 👌

Really cold as stuck at the back where they kept leaving the back door open despite asking them to close it. I had to put my coat on! Also smallest table for four people, should have been max two people. No space for elbows or...

Always a great evening out and the atmosphere, food and service were excellent. Our waitress Sam(antha) was delightful and was telling us about her home in Johannesburg. A really enjoyable evening.
