Ver busy as usual, Christmas certainly in focus. Still many lovely plants for all types of garden available. Queues for seats in the cafe, always very popular.

Quick visit with my 5 year old Granddaughter today, we went on the train, which she now wants to go on every weekend! Had to have a photo with the Halloween and Christmas displays, then a Scoop Waffle and Dough bubblegum tub. Her review is it’s amazing, lots to see, everyone (the staff) are nice, but the best person was who served her the ice cream with marshmallows 🥰 Our next visit will be to see the animals we spotted on our train ride!

Just changed over to Autumn/Winter so not a huge horticultural offering. Focussed very much on retail concessions. Some apparel bears a very close resemblance to designers.... Some lovely things in the Autumn range and the Halloween decorations are super fun. Great selection of jams, chutneys and honey too. The cafe area was clean and inviting. Food was lovely. The portion sizes match the price, in a good way. If coffee and cake is your thing, then the cake selection isn't huge. Bonus: there was a gluten-free cake option. The retail area was in some disarray, the cute signs said they were preparing for Santa! I can't wait to see what that's going to look like! Nice venue, lovely teams in retail and hospitality.

Visited last weekend. The staff in the animal sanctuary were amazing, along with the display birds we found excellent too. The cafe staff were great explaining there would be a wait .. no problem. We could see they were a little busy. We had lunch in the cafe which we found over priced a little… prawn baguette was lovely but a tad lacking, baked potato with tuna equally lovely with a little tired salad. Although my son found it filling. The bacon lettuce and tomato baguette was a little disappointing though with just two pieces of bacon stuck in the top … I think I was expecting a little more for £10. Tad over priced for rustic “chips” and a baguette …I was expecting a handful of chips and a bursting baguette for the price. Would definitely visit the animal sanctuary again not the cafe!

Visited here on 12th March 2024 with my 3 year old grandson ,he loves to drink tea so I asked for a pot of tea for one and asked for an extra cup .I was told that I would have to pay a service charge for having an extra cup (£1.00) or she said why not have aot of tea for 2 ? Which was £6 ! He's 3 years old an only drinks half a cup ! Unbelievable! I purchased a pot of tea for one and we shared the cup !

Fletchers Garden Centre: A Noble Effort with Room for Improvement Fletchers Garden Centre is a local establishment that has made a commendable effort to provide a wide range of gardening and home-related products. While their intentions and offerings are undoubtedly well-intentioned, there are certain aspects that make it a slightly confusing experience. Thus, I find it deserving of a four-star rating. One of the most noticeable challenges at Fletchers Garden Centre is the confusing layout. The layout resembles a maze, with winding aisles and sections that can be disorienting to navigate. This can be frustrating, particularly when you have a specific item in mind or are on a time constraint. A more straightforward and well-organized layout would greatly enhance the shopping experience, making it easier to locate and explore the products on offer. One aspect that I found less appealing during my visit is the way the store directs customers along a predetermined sequence. I prefer a more open and flexible shopping experience where I can browse at my own pace and choose the sections that interest me the most. The feeling of being corralled through a predetermined path can be restrictive and might not align with the preferences of all customers. Providing more freedom for exploration would certainly improve the overall experience. Another point of consideration is the overall impression of the establishment. While Fletchers Garden Centre has made genuine efforts to provide a wide range of products, it has a somewhat "Heath Robinson" feel. The variety of items available, from gardening tools to home decor, gives it a diverse, almost eclectic vibe. However, this diversity can sometimes lead to a lack of cohesion in the shopping experience. A more focused and curated selection of products could improve the overall appeal of the store. On a more positive note, Fletchers Garden Centre does have its merits. They offer a commendable range of gardening supplies, and their selection of plants and outdoor decor is noteworthy. The staff members I interacted with were friendly and knowledgeable, which is always appreciated when seeking advice or assistance. The garden centre is clearly dedicated to providing a wide assortment of items to cater to the needs of both experienced gardeners and those new to the hobby. In conclusion, Fletchers Garden Centre is a well-intentioned establishment with an admirable range of gardening and home-related products. However, the confusing layout and the enforced shopping sequence can make the shopping experience less enjoyable. The overall impression of the business is a bit scattered, and a more focused approach to product selection could enhance the store's appeal. Despite these drawbacks, the store does have its merits, including a diverse range of gardening supplies and friendly, knowledgeable staff. A four-star rating is fitting, as there is room for improvement to make the shopping experience more streamlined and customer-friendly.

Our first visit to this small restaurant, part of a complex including garden centre, Wildlife Centre & Hilcote Miniature Railway though our visit was to the cafe-restaurant & garden centre only. We met a friend and started our visit with coffee. I was very pleased to have the option for an oat milk latte as non-dairy options are not available everywhere & husband was pleased to have the option of Earl Grey tea, again not always available. After an hour and a half exploring the inside & outside areas of the small but well-stocked garden centre (with lots of chatting!) we returned to order lunch. I had a very tasty Brie & Stilton pannini, our friend enjoyed her sandwich & husband found his broccoli bake very tasty. In spite of it being very busy by this time we only waited around 10 mins for food, hot food was hot & all meals were good quality and well presented. I am not a frequent reviewer but felt the excellent, accommodating staff at this venue need praising as they made our visit very enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and they seemed to be working flat-out the entire time. Well done!
