Despite asking for a table late at night, they welcomed and served us delicious indian dishes and drinks. Beautiful service, worth-visiting.

Total surprise for a Monday evening. First time we have been tomresturant and it is a WINNER, Absolutely first class delicious food - we all voted the starter poppodoms the crispiest freshest ever, and they were huge. All the main courses were beautifully falvoured and delicious and very generous portions. The ambiance and attention to service very friendly. Would definitely recommend and definitely return very soon! Thank you

What a gorgeous and friendly place to dine! I went solo dining and enjoyed the food enormously, especially my chicken madras! The manager Hassan was very welcoming and very hospitable and professional. Cocktails were very unique and divine. My second time here and I'll make sure to always pop in when I need authentic curry!! Atmosphere and decor were excellent too. Nicely located off the hussle and bussle of the high street. So you can dine in peace and calm. Bill was also quite reasonable Thanks guys!!

I have never in all the years i have visited restaurants to get such a rude and aggressive manager as we entered. We asked for a quiet table and that we had a Groupon voucher. He became even more rude and made it obvious he did not want to serve Groupon vouchers. He kept saying they were fully booked but there were only 2 other tables occupied and we could see his book that only 3 tables in total had bookings (one of these was ours). No reserved on any table . He was not happy that we politely asked for a quiet table. Very quickly he told us he would not serve us and again rude and aggressive. I'm 71 and my wife is 64. This is not the way to treat customers. He kept saying they were fully booked??.We stayed sitting quietly for about 30 minutes and noticed that not one table had been served food. I assume he was stressed re problems in the kitchen and obvious he did not wan't to serve Groupon customers.

It has been good to watch this restaurant grow in popularity since first opened. My family and I have shared our business between the Baburchi, Star of India and Zainab for the last 40 years. They are now sadly all gone. The good news is that the Flavours of India is an excellent replacement, a small staff, friendly service, a range of new dishes to try out and excellent food. The onion bhaji is a treat and I am working my way round the menu slowly with no disappointments yet. The plain naan worth a mention too, fluffy and hot, a lick of butter, perfect! Give him a try. From the delivery types collecting their orders it looks like his takeaway is successful too. Let us hope that the "Red Fort" soon to open in the old Star of India premises doesn't knock his custom too much.

We turned up unexpectedly, a large group of 14 friends and family, adults and children. We had not booked as we had booked the Star of India over the road but arrived to find it closed. The food was delicious, a good selection of vegetarian and meat. I'm vegetarian and the vegetarian dishes were appropriately spicy as according to the menu description which often isn't the case. The cocktails were also very good (a 2 for 1 offer applies on Thursdays). The service was also very good. We would definitely recommend others to go here.

Very tasty food, excellent value and friendly service. My favourite dish is the Railway Curry, rich and tasty lamb and potato curry. The cocktails are also well made. Highly recommended.

The quality of the food was poor , around just bearable . It’s clear they are trying to save money at the expense of food quality , would have been better off with beans on toast .

Invited by my two cousins and with a couple of friends we came here and what a lovely evening. Nice atmosphere, friendly and the food was excellent, we all had different dishes and I plumped for the Lamb Jalfrezi which was excellent. Staff very helpful and very attentive, a really nice dining experience.

5 star restaurant! Not only is this my favourite local restaurant this is probably my favourite restaurant for food! Just everything about this restaurant is great! From the owner, staff and always the best food! It never disappoints it’s always great every time! I always go with my husband and two children and the owners always make us feel welcomed and go above and beyond. Honestly I could come here once a week if I could! Definitely the best Indian food local and also in London in my opinion. I know there are other Indian restaurants that try and do it differently or a la carte but it’s never as good as this place. Please don’t change your chefs 😅 Thank you. See you soon Sophie & Family x
