Had a very niceToasted teacake and carrot cake today. Tuesday. Happy staff with a jolly banter with customers make the place, they deserve a pay rise.

Can't comment on food didn't have any but a nice café to take a breather in between shopping indoor market not much happening on a Wednesday

Lovely quiche, bacon and mushroom very thick light and tasty had 1 shot cappuccino, probably the best we have had, would have put pic on but already eaten it staff friendly and helpful, thank you will call again and would recommend

We were struggling to find somewhere nice for coffee in central Castleford and Flavours was recommended to us by a highstreet shopkeeper. Sited indoors within a somewhat depressing shopping center, we found Flavours to be basic, clean and attractive. The service however was very disappointing. Our server couldn't have been less welcoming and more sour-faced if she'd tried - at least I hope not, for her sake. We felt as though we were severely inconveniencing her by even standing at the counter, let alone asking for an oatmilk latte, a pot of earl grey tea and a glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice. The speed of her drinks preparation was glacially slow. The oatmilk was steamed to an excessively hot temperature and then banged very loudly on the counter-top in front of us, just inches away. It being quite a hot day in Castleford, and especially so inside the airless shopping center, the offer of ice with the orange juice would have been very much appreciated. We did consider asking for some, but on reflection decided not to push our luck. Would we go again, or recommend Flavours to others? Nah.

Not had a bad experience here as yet. Love coming to eat here. The panackes are delicious.

First visit for breakfast. I didn't feel like a big breakfast and was going to opt for some toast but then noticed they did a breakfast burrito with avocado. We asked if they could make avocado on toast and they said yes! It was super tasty and full of favour and good value for money... We will definitely be back again.

My husband and myself just called in for a quick cup of coffee, but it was very pleasant to sit and chat with people that my husband had been at work with, plus the coffee and hot chocolate were superb.lovely place, so friendly with excellent food.

Went there recently and noticed there now overcharging for food. Eg: Cost nearly £4 for a bacon sandwich Meanwhile at other sandwich places I can get a 'B.E.S.T sandwich for less than that. (Bacon egg tomatato sausage) I don't think even the staff can afford to eat there and are clearly not happy. Sometimes they have even tried to overcharge too since they don't seem to know how their cash register works. If I have to say anything nice then the seating's there are nice and so are the staff.

It's the main cafe in the small shopping centre & it's always quite busy, just over £17 for a tea & a latte, cheese on toast & a ham & cheese toastie 😶

When I visit Castleford we always call for a coffee or and a snack, large latte please very nice.

Went here with my daughter for a milkshake. The food looked great though, next time I'll be having lunch there. Fair prices and friendly staff.

A mixed review. The services was good and friendly enough. I asked to make my own breakfast as I don't like certain items, this wasn't an issue. I had 2 slices of bacon 2 eggs 2 hash brown and beans with 2 slices of white toast and beans. Price is high although I will give that the rent is probably high in carlron lanes compared to other places. The best breakfast in castleford is Chefs Cafe at 3 Lane ends and the price is £5 compared to the £8.80 here. My real gripe though is the quality. The eggs are really small with the thinnest white I have ever seen. The bacon seemed like it was cooked before and reheated on a grill or plate and is again very thin. Overall a measly and tepid offering for the money.

Called for lunch, daughter had Burrito and i chose tuna crunch jacket potato. The Burrito looked like a folded envelope ( very small & flat ) it was tasty yet lacked a side for the price of £4-50. The jacket potato was an ample size and came with a small side of salad, however the filling was extremely bland and the tuna had no crunch at all - it could have benefited from some kind of seasoning. We won't be calling here again!

Go once week and the only thing I don't like is, they only toast one side of the teacake

I like the food and the cake are nice sometimes but milkshakes oddly don't taste like proper milkshakes since ice cream is too melted and not thick.

Lovely staff and great affordable grub. Only complaints are flat white coffees are too small and the toast bread is not very nice but otherwise great. ☺️

Nice little cafe and had a lovely jacket potato with Tuna and a decent simple coffee. Overall a nice place and would go again if in the Castleford area

Fantastic food and friendly staff very tidy and clean

Called for food and a drink, the staff looked like she was chewing a bee for start. Drinks were nice. Food was disgusting to say the least, quorn sausage must of changed and were over cooked. I would not recommend this cafe for food at all especially at the price, there are better in the area.

I would like to say well done to the staff who all have such wonderful customer service, my friend with me has social anxiety and rarely feels comfortable in cafe settings but she said she feels comfortable here and we loved the Bueno hot chocolates and thank you for having dairy free cream, really appreciated 😊 WELL DONE!!!!!

Just popped in for something to eat and drink on a whim and so pleased that we did so. The staff was so helpful eventhough very busy and the food was very tasty. My husband had an all-day breakfast and would recommend it to anyone as it was extremely tasty and cooked well. We will definitely be popping back in when we next visit.

Lovely little coffee shop - staff, food and cleanliness excellent. Tom the manager, such a helpful and friendly young man. The Mother’s Day shortbread was absolutely stunning, my mum loved it.

visited yesterday and had a cooked break fast and the sausage is delicious well presented and hot and also the staff are very friendly and very approachable , will definitely be going again.

Absolutely love this place. Foods always good, coffee is great. They do homemade cakes that are always spot on. It's not huuge so even when it's full it's never so busy your food takes more than 20mins and the prices are really good for the quality. The sausages are my favourite!

Not bad coffee and food, got two coffees and a tea, waited after two further customers got there drinks before I was asked was there something else? Yes was my reply, the Tea I ordered with the coffees? Sorry will get it now? Didn't eat, the table we sat at was loaded with dirty pots, after it not been cleared for over ten mins or more, I moved it onto a table for cleaning in the order isle and mentioned it to a member of staff, it was still there when we left! Not very good!

Nice place to eat staff are friendly do a lovely salad sandwich plenty of salad inside. Do gluten free bread too just a shame their tuna has onion in it.

Always serve me creamy, well - presented coffee just as I like it. A pleasure to drink somewhere the staff actually know how to make purposely prepared cappuccino*. Highly recommend the breakfast and also veggie burritos. *The free chocolate is always a treat too!

Flavours have recently started doing gluten free cakes and after a chat with the staff and trying a few cakes I can say for sure i will be visiting for more soon!

Stopped here for lunch on our way home. Ordered coffee and panini for 2 people paid and then went to sit down.When the coffee was brought over to the table I was politely ticked off for not waiting for the coffee to take to the table myself. Hadn't realised it was not table sevice as the previous 2 customers (elderley gentleman) ordered a drink which the waitress took to their table so I assumed it was the same for all. However the food and coffee was very tasty

This review is for the Cross Gates branch. I visit here every Wednesday with my friend it is the perfect place for a catch up, Donna and her team are so welcoming and attentive. The food is of the highest quality and the service is second to none. They are also even saving me bottle tops for a charity to help raise funds for a wheelchair. Many thanks to all who work tirelessly for the benefiy of their customers

We love to stop and have a cheeky latte and a lovely piece of tantalising cake at the Flavours Coffee shop in Cross gates . My husband tried the new addition to the toastie menu today the ultimate cheese toastie and have too say the taste blow us away. It was absolutely amazing. Plus we did pass up on our treat of cake and Richard my husband was over the moon to see his favourite cake of all time was on sale today coffee and walnut I like the sticky toffee indulgence totally.The staff are so lovely and are always so helpful, they have a wonderful team feeling and it makes a really nice place to be and relax. I stopped by this little cafe for a spot of lunch, the staff in particular Donna was very friendly and helpful providing outstanding service. I chose the quiche and I have to say it was so tasty. Presentation was at a high standard and looked very appetising. I was served promptly and my table cleared efficiently. We stopped here for coffee and cake on a Sunday morning and found everything to be good. Friendly service, delicious cakes and nice hot coffee. Very good prices too. Please note we visited the Pontefract branch of this company

We visited today for lunch and had some really tasty toastys and a cup of tea served by friendly staff. Cakes looked great but we are on a diet.

Flavours in my opinion is an excellent cafe' the food and drinks are excellent and logistically it is well situated in Carlton Lanes and there is plenty of seating with quite well adequate room between the tables. It always looks clean and well managed with excellent staff who are always customer friendly and excellent at their work. A very friendly atmosphere that means everything with regular customers meeting up daily and weekly. All in all a great place to be. Well done Flavours you will always have my custom.

Today I took my dad out for lunch today. we saw flavours it looked a lovely setting with the decoration. We hoped the food was as good as the decoration we where not disappointed the food and drinks were fabulous. My dad chose the quiche he said it was lovely home made food. The brownie was gorgeous coupled with hot chocolate. I will be visiting again!!

This is a really busy coffee shop/cafe and sometimes you have to wait to get a seat, that shows just how popular it is. They serve a variety of lunches ,we enjoyed the jacket potatoes and a good pot of tea.

Visit this branch very regularly staff are always friendly and polite nothing is too much trouble Donna and Geri have a good working relationship wiv customers and staff. It’s has a lovely atmosphere for all age ranges of customers and a good selection of food and drinks

Visit quite often with baby granddaughter. As i have the pushchair the staff always bring my drink over to my table which is very nice of them. Nice cafe to see friends or just sit and chill out. Prices are average

My husband and I visit regularly and today we had a deluxe all day breakfast and a veggie breakfast.

The Crossgates venue is excellent- there's a few chain cafes nearby but Flavours offers homemade food at very reasonable prices. Donna is person who regularly serves me- thanks! When I'm in the area it's my regular place for breakfast and coffee.

visited on tuesday found it very clean and the service quick and efficient the food was lovely and i throughly enjoyed my stay

Gorgeous home made cakes...had a gorgeous new healthy hot drink today...so nice i returned for seconds...was hot almond milk with powdered turmeric,cinnamon,maple syrup and black pepper.Fantastic for inflammation and so warming for winter!!!! The staff are always professional and i am really shocked to see negative comments as i have been a loyal customer since it opened and have never had a negative experience....

Have been going to this coffee shop since it opened and the coffee is always good and the staff are a delight. On my last visit Jessie J and Sara were my servers and were as efficient and friendly as ever.

I always come here, coz of the set up and the staff. The staff always talk to you and asks questions to make sure that everything is perfect for you. It’s an amazing place to have a gathering. I prefer here to anywhere else. I hope this place stays open coz they have a loyal customer.
