Flavour Of Asia in Weymouth and Portland

Ordered takeout (delivered) saidup to 45 mins. It took 1hour 25mins. Apart from that food was delicious and hot on arrival.

This is my regular Indian restaurant which Iv been using for the last few years and I have never had a single problem. I never order over the phone or online though, I always go in and order

Well, haven’t had a take away from here for several months due to continuous errors and poor taste. Gave it another go tonight and still disappointed ☹️…. Food luke warm & missing food. Rang them and they realised a naan was missing, so they will deliver, 30 minutes later we had a naan bread delivered….. I ordered online for collection and I even put a note on the order saying “CHECK ORDER BEFORE COLLECTION “ well that didn’t work…… so NO more Indian for us from Flavour of Asia

Very good Nice food from busy takeaway

Food arrived 3 hrs after ordering and 40 mins after arranged delivery required time. Tried to call on both numbers several times, but no answer. Delivery driver, when asked why no one answering phone, told me they were too busy to take calls!!!! Food was stone cold, meat chewy and some of the delivery items were missing. No point calling to chase, as they were not answering the phone!!!! Try elsewhere. Not worth the wait or the money. UPDATE since writing review. 9.30pm (3rd feb 2023). Owner (Rashid) has just called to ask if I will take down review as he is away from the business for a week. I explained that we had to order food elsewhere as we didn't know if the order was coming due to phones not being answered. He said delivery driver shouldn't have said the phones were being ignored and offered me a £20 voucher to remove I refused, which he didn't like. He also agreed that items missing should have been with my order. Not professional to call me, agree with my disgruntlement, tell me the delivery driver shouldn't have told me about the phones being ignored, and ask remove the review for a voucher.

Food fantastic, delivery absolutely shocking, well over 45mins and was borderline cold when it arrived! I picked it up myself the next time and food was lovely and toasty when I got home !

By far the best Indian food weve had in the last 20 plus years the difference is it's cooked fresh and tastes absolutely incredible if you want the very best eating here is a must 👌 The owner is one of the nicest people I've ever met Portland is lucky to have him making such great food 👌😋

Waited for 2.5hrs for the delivery. Phoned twice and was told that the order will be with me in the next 10-20 minutes, it was not. Food was cold and very mediocre. Chutneys were also missing from the order. Very disappointing. Will not be ordering again.

Ordered for collection and was ready bang on time. Chicken Tikka Korai and Garlic Balti Chicken were top notch, thick sauce, very tasty and plenty of it, we're full! 👍

Food is very bland, they use tinned vegetables, delivery takes ages and sometimes doesn’t even turn up. Won’t be using them again, it’s a shame they’re the only Indian takeaway on the island at the moment, I’ll have to drive over to town to get my Indian food. I’ve heard there’s another Indian takeaway about to open on the island, the sooner the better because flavour of Asia is no good. Avoid this place!

We ordered a takeaway had to cancel as took over 2 hours and said it was on it’s way and it wasn’t. Phoned 2 times . Absolutely disgraceful

Well, we ordered a takeaway at 18:28hrs for delivery with a maximum delivery time of 45 minutes (19:15hrs). After 3nr phone calls our delivery arrived at 20:55hrs! Takeaway delivered by a blacked out BMW with the driver saying we stated the wrong address!! To be honest the food was okay but the service, false promises on delivery times etc gives a very low score

Waited over 2 hours for delivery of our order, didn’t get the best service when called to ask where it was. When it turned up we were missing part of the order, when we called them they said that we were far away to correct (3 miles) but still they didn’t sort our issue. Food wasn’t to bad, was nice if we had all that we ordered! My suggestion is only to pick up from them otherwise you may be disappointed.

The Curries are absolutely delicious! It was that good we had to order twice in a row during our stay in Portland. Decent prices and they even threw in extra’s for us. Friendly service, highly recommend 🤝🏻

Tried again tonight 08.04.23 food was amazing. Good sized portions. Fairly quick delivery and they take paypal. Missing items on a home delivery otherwise food was ok. Naan bread however was fantastic. Will try again as they may have been busy that's why items were missed.

We order from flavour of asia .garlic chilli chicken chicken tikka jalfrezi,butter chicken,mushrooms Rice, starters, papadums everything was delicious. We ate amazing food after a long time, the owner was very nice and polite highly recommended flavour of asia We will definitely order again when our next visit portland

Very disappointed with the vegetarian options. All the curries delivered had too much onion, awful frozen veg mix sweetcorn, peas, carrots, green beans. This is not imaginative and a lot of money for a meal with no thought. I have eaten in many wonderful Indian restaurants that serve vegetarian curry with courgettes, aubergines, okra, brocoli, cauliflower proper fresh vegetables.Naan was not fresh and rubbery. The delivery also took too long. Sadly I will not be ordering again.

We like to order from here at least once a month. The food is always amazing, always hot, loads of meat and delivery is fast. I wouldn't go anywhere else for an Indian! Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

We have used Flavour of Asia, usually when our son returns from University, and it is also amazing. I would throughly recommend it.

We came down to Portland for the weekend and wanted to get a takeaway. We found this place from Google and read the positive reviews - so decided to order. Food was really nice and tasty!

Nothing against the food its always ace. But if you order please go and collect it. We ordered for delivery and we have waited over two and a half hours for it. Rang a fair few times. They say they only have one driver.. don't offer delivery for 45mins to an hour if you can't meet them requirements.

My order was delivered last night with the starter missing. OK it happens nobody is perfect, the gentlemen on the phone was very rude, no offer to send the starter, refund the starter. he stated "they would make a note" to sort it next time. there wont be a next time!

We had chicken tikka massala and veggie massala with nan cheese, it was so tasty! Very good food and very friendly people!

Not had a meal from here for a while but tried tonight. Excellent food, free Bhajis, and the Chicken Ceylon which used to be my favourite dish when lived elsewhere but never matched - was top notch. Service always good and owner is polite and couldn't do more for you.

An enjoyable evening out but now rather expensive with a 20% increase in menu prices.

We ordered from their website and collected it from the takeaway. When we got home we found we had been given Chicken Tikka Makhani, rather than the Paneer Tikka Makhani we had ordered (as confirmed on the order email confirmation). I called them, but their phone line was constantly engaged, so we ate the other meal between us. As we are vegetarian we obviously couldn't eat the chicken meal sent in error. After we had finished eating I did manage to get through to them on the phone, but they wouldn't refund the meal sent in error. On the menu we had picked up the day before from the takeaway, it says "10% discount on collection & free Bombay Aloo/Onion Bhajee & Mint Sauce on orders over £20". Our order was over £20. We got the 10% discount but not the additional free food. I would not recommend this takeaway. We were visiting on a weekend break and had a much nicer meal from the local Co-op the next evening. The food here is always fresh and tasty. They have a great range of dishes including the standard curries and house specialties. The naga lamb is superb and has good naga kick.

We've lived in Easton for nearly 2 years now and this is the 1st time we've ordered food from here. Absolutely delighted, we bought the meal for 2 and it was delicious. will definitely go back more often.

This has got to be one of the best Indian takeaway’s we’ve ever used. Great food, lovely flavours, good price and prompt service. Particularly love their Paneer Chilli Masala. We’ve never been disappointed with anything we’ve ordered from here.

I'd normally travel over to Weymouth to get a curry, but tonight we thought we'd try one locally and I'm glad we did. I opted for the Chicken Tikka Madras and it was delicious, the perfect amount of heat and full of lovely chunks of beautifully tender chicken. The lemon and chilli rice was restaurant quality, full of flavour and moist. The onion bhaji's were excellent! Not at all greasy or dripping in oil, crisp the whole way through and extremely tasty. Finally, the fresh naan bread was perfect, cooked traditionally with just the right amount of charring. My partner prefers a korma and told me it was as tasty as any she'd had in the area. All of this great food was topped off with a warm welcome and friendly service. Really impressed, if I had known how good the food is here I'd have saved a lot of petrol money!

The food was nice and staff friendly. Only drawback they only take cash. Again I would use them again in the future.

The customer service was very warm and very professional. The staff tailored everything to our needs and where very patient. We found the food very exquisite, portion size very generous and prices where phenomenally cheap and speed of service very quick. Meat we told was Halal 👍😄and very succulent. All in all very happy all round and highly recommend. The takeaway it self was small, clean with some seating and is on the high street next to park and other shops, cash point nearby. This place only takes cash if ordering on site, only downside. Parking nearby and bus stop very close

Place order on line at 7 o’clock pm Still wait at 8:44 been told twice now food is on way online order said would be here 8.05 phoned man said he was busy what a joke I’m a chef don’t give times if you can’t keep to them foods just arrived let’s hope nice!! So food was delivered 8:55 arrived hot and delicious fair play flavour of Asia I understand people get busy but don’t give times or at least let people know how long so there not sat there waiting starving and get more frustrated. Excellent curry but let down by the poor service. Ordered online allowing 75 minutes before collection was arranged. Had to wait a further 25 minutes in the takeaway before it was eventually ready. The female receptionist just kept saying it would only be a few minutes. Not really acceptable service

Phoned an hour and half ago. Still waiting. Apparently the food is on its way. Not happy. The food better be good.

Great tasting food and a large menu, order online and pick up or have delivered. Only issue is they get busy and can take a little longer than anticipated.

Meal for 5 mostly vegetarian for just over £50 is great value. The Peshwri Nan was the best I have had for long time and the ocra was very fresh and delicious. I would say as good as London Indian any day. Little bit of an extra wait for cooking but worth it.

First class meal for 11 people last night. Rashid put together choices from the menu for us, delivered to house, all food nice and hot on arrival. Absolutely delicious meal, enjoyed by our guests from the Gosport area. Excellent all round. Highly recommended.

I have been using this take away for the last four months - it is such good food and value for money. The taste and depth of the curries is suburb. The Napal dish is off the scale with taste and the Tarka Dall is equally as brilliant Unlike other Indian take-aways, the food is not swimming in oil and grease. All the dishes are freshly prepared and cooked. The owner is a genuinely nice polite guy, who you can tell takes pride in his business. Thanks

Great friendly service, with amazing food. Most importantly for a great Indian the meat needs to be cooked so its succulent. Flavour of Asia does not dissapoint and is slow cooked and moist. For an Indian on the most southern point on portland its a real gem. Whole heartily recommend.

Having booked online for our wedding anniversary meal on the website, we were disappointed and not a little cross when we arrived for our meal only to be turned away as they could not accommodate us after all. Apparently a problem with the website. Appalling! Not returning there.

They are always friendly and know us despite only ordering around once every 6 weeks, I love that they care about not only the quality of food but also the customer service. Ordered from here tonight the food was really lovely had vegtable korma and lamb dansak. The nan bread was also very nice. Very good customer service also.

I'm veggie and it was way worse than average, homogeneous and tasteless, wouldn't recommend at all. Onion bhajees were like microwaved nuggets, nothing had any flavour. Cost me 20 quid and I could have got better at Tesco for a fiver.
