Flat Iron Square in Southwark

Pre dinner drinks with outside seating was what we were looking for on a busy Friday evening, and that’s what we found. A lively atmosphere, all seemed great until we ordered our drinks. The wine and cocktail were fine but the 2 large tanqueray & tonics, not good. Couldn’t taste or smell the gin! How could this be? I spoke to the bartender who was dismissive and said I needed to speak to the owner, but wasn’t willing to assist in me doing that. The only explanation that we could think of was excess water in the bottle of gin! So be very wary when drinking here, there are no guarantees of an enjoyable experience.

Visited Sunday evening with my wife and 2 grown up kids 20 and 17. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Soft drinks menu was poor as my daughter is too young to drink and my wife tee total. Good range of beers. Lovely touch with the ice cream at the end and popcorn as you sit down. Very fast turnaround as well which suits us Londoners.

Shockingly over priced. £40 a bottle of cheap Prosecco, staff not friendly and no one seemed to have a clue about our booking. The street food trucks are the most shocking of all, just under £10 for Singapore noodles, I say Singapore they were more like super noodles, no flavour and no veg with them, burgers were cheap meat no very appetising. Would I go back - 100% NO! Much better places in the area.

Visited Breddos. Overpriced. Chips came out out as tortillas. Tacos came out as mini pancakes. £35 for 3 peope l rip off.

Me and my friends went here to catch up and watch the world cup. One friend had his bag stolen and another was assaulted in an unprovoked attack by another customer. The staff did nothing. They didn’t kick the violent customer out straight away and even asked us to leave. When we reported that we had a bag stolen the manager (pictured) told us it wasn’t her problem. Will never go back and would recommend others avoid it.
