A bit noisy tapas restaurant. Food was good, staff was nice.

We had a large family meal here for my son’s 16th birthday. We were so well looked after from the organising, to the moment we arrived and to the extra thoughtful moments such as creating a pudding with candles for the birthday boy and being mindful of the neurodiverse needs of 2 family members. The food was incredible, the atmosphere and the service was excellent. Thankyou so much for helping us celebrate a family meal which meant so much.

I organised a dinner for a work event 18 people at Flamenca and it was excellent. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was relaxed, Everyone commented on how good it was. Thank you!

I would recommend the Manchego cheese, it was very nice. Friendly service and a nice free shot at the end of the meal.

Very quite at time of our visit but excellent service and enjoyable tapas dishes.Worth a visit as this was are second one anyway.

A wonderful Spanish oasis in the heart of Exeter, the food will make you feel like you’re in Spain with fresh vibrant flavours. And the service was fantastic.

This was a chance find one mid week evening and so glad we did! Wonderful atmosphere and friendly, impeccable service accompanied by amazing food. Plenty of gluten free choices and lovely cocktails too, particularly loved the melon colada. If I lived in Exeter I’d be a regular 😀 You won’t be disappointed! 🌟

Such a lovely restaurant, beautiful meal, great choice and tastes delicious! Took my mum here for her birthday, they even served up a special cocktail for her, which was such a lovely touch. Service is super attentive and friendly, we shall definitely be back!

Amazing food, good vegan options and just as good as restaurants in Spain!

We had a fabulous lunch here today. I lived in Spain for 10 years and this is the best tapas I have tasted since then Every dish was delicious, they don't rush you and the staff are all lovely. I can't wait to go back.

A business meal for 12 of us which was excellent. The starters were delicious and varied with meats, olives, breads and so on….and then all the dishes we’d ordered started coming out in a steady stream which meant that we weren’t rushing our food but neither were we looking around for what was next. The quality of the food is top class, the tastes are amazing and it was just an extremely enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend

The food was excellent. The service was excellent. Between the 4 of us, we ordered 12 tapas dishes and all 12 were of the highest standard. The service from all the staff were second to none. The 4 of us are already planning to go back ASAP 😎

The food and service was excellent but the portion sizes were a little small for the price, the restaurant is lovely but unfortunately because the restaurant was fully booked we had a table pressed up against the bar which was less than ideal , I would definitely recommend this place for tapas lovers.

The food was pretty nice, but nothing blew us away. We had to ask twice for water. The restaurant was pretty empty and unfortunately a loud group was placed right next to us.

It’s okayyyyy, the chorizo is very tough and I much prefer other restaurants that remove the casing and slice we couldn’t finish it as it was just too chew, although the sauce was lovely. The meatballs were also a bit gristly. Bread needs a dip or some oil. The cocktails were very good. If a few tweaks were made I would return

We came out for a meal as a group of 8 on a Wednesday evening. Easy to deal with in terms of booking and email communications - and all the staff in the restaurant were helpful, friendly and efficient. Good atmosphere and great food and drinks. We will be back!

Excellent quality food. Lovely authentic Tapas, presented beautifully. Hosts very knowledgeable and highly professional. A great addition to the Exeter food scene. Support it if you can, it’s well worth it.

Great place for a meal with friends

Really nice venue. Food really great and service was spot on.

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. We eat tapas often, and we were pleased to see a shorter menu than some (always a good sign in our view) with some slightly unusual dishes which were delicious, as well old favourites, like aubergines in honey, which was probably the tastiest version of this we have had. The anchovies were delicious. Service was excellent and it is an attractive modern setting. I marked down the atmosphere because on a wet bank holiday Monday it was a little quiet, no other reason. Next time I am in Exeter, I will visit again.

Food was overpriced, very undersized portions for the price, tapas shouldn’t be this expensive unless it’s very good. Chicken was completely burnt, not charred just burned. Also if you want authentic tapas this place is not the right opinion and isn’t even good quality it seemed. Disappointing, there’s better tapas down the road in town for a much more reasonable price.

Very delicious Spanish restaurant. We are Spaniards who live in England and it is appreciated that they make this type of food. The croquettes were very good and the calamari was like being at home. The place is cozy and the waiters are very friendly. Highly recommended and we will repeat.

Great atmosphere, super staff, amazing food. Highly recommend. We ordered from both the standard menu and added in some specials also. The truffle croquettes were my favourite but everything we ordered was fresh and delicious.

We really enjoyed our meal at Flamenca! The food was very good, the service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was so lovely. There was live music playing which really just added to the ambience of the place. There aren’t many Tapas restaurants in Exeter, so being able to find one where it’s difficult to find a fault is amazing.

Absolute gem of a place. We have been coming regularly for a couple of years. Always a warm reception, great varied tapas menu and at weekends you might be lucky to catch some authentic Spanish music in the restaurant too. One of our favourite places to go

We had a lovely team meal at La Flamenca. The tapas were delicious, the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend.

We visited on a quiet Tuesday lunch and chose their lunch menu at just under £12 a head for three small plates. We had 6 different dishes ( extra £ for the lamb skewers but well worth it) with 2 1/2s of lager all £36. All of the food was really very good and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this restaurant

The service was impeccable, very friendly and attentive. The friend that joined me can be a little particular about seating and they were so willing to accommodate and understanding. The food was well presented and tasty. The calamari, which is so hard to find done well, was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be visiting again soon."

Had a great meal in here on Saturday 10th February. Food was great, great service and drinks served quickly. Try the Spanish Old Fashioned cocktail. They weren’t full however deserved to be as it was an excellent tapas experience

Visited here for a evening meal While away for a weekend. Absolutely cannot wait to return!! The Spanish tapas was amazing. Lovely quiet surroundings. Was in a lovely location 5 mins walk from our hotel. Very fairly priced , we paid £80 for the two of us and had 6 dishes in that. And staff were lovely and friendly. Very welcoming. Also lovely cocktails :) I can’t wait to come back in November :)

Great food. Top quality and extremely good service. Favourite dish were the mushroom md truffle croquette!A little feedback from the miss, could be slightly too salty for a fine woman taste but that is being very picky.Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone!!

You can feel that the place has a great atmosphere from the moment you step in. The service was brilliant and the food was delicious, I had croquetas de setas y trufa y de camembert con sobrasada, chocos fritos y tarta de queso vasca. The picture of the cheesecake is an empty plate as it was so good that I didn't realise I hadn't taken the picture 😅

The reviews speak for themselves. Lovely restaurant with very friendly knowledgeable staff. Pepe & Esteban wow . The food was very nice. Truffle croquettes were beautiful. The Rioja crianza was perfect. They played guitar & sang it was very authentic we felt like we were in Spain.

Having lived in Spain for a year, it can be hard to beat the food when you’ve lived there. However, the food is so good at Flamenca. It is now our second visit and we were nervous as we had such high expectations from our first. The food is super fresh, tasty and it feels like an authentic Spanish experience. It is especially nice to actually hear Spanish language being spoken by the excellent serving team! Thoroughly recommend Flamenca!

A lady was handing out samples just outside the restaurant, i tried the hake which was absolutely beautiful, considering i don’t usually eat fish, after a brief thought i went back and said we’d be going there for lunch. I ordered the hake, ham croquettes and chicken skewers, with baked cheesecake for dessert, kindly recommended to us by the waiter. All of it was 10/10, well worth the money, extremely delicious and very polite and welcoming staff, with great recommendations by the waiter. Will definitely be going back.

The beef cheek was the star of the show until the baked cheesecake arrived to reluctantly share. You have to try this as it is just so good

One of the best dinners in a long time! All of the food was fantastic, the servers were able to recommend a good mix of things to try. Even the dessert wine was magnificent, will be back!

We stopped off for lunch here after finding a line out the door at the restaurant next door. We were so glad to have found this little gem of a restaurant. This is an award grade restaurant, and we would know. We live in New York City and travel extensively around the world. We are extremely difficult to please but this place outperforms the index. If we were sitting on the Kings Road in London or SoHo Manhattan this restaurant would not be out of place. It really is that good. We are avidly wishing this little establishment every success.

We have been several times to La Flamenca now and never been disappointed in either the food or the service. So we've often taken friends and family there too. It's great to share good food and wine together - especially at this time of the year when connecting with others is so important.

Attentive, informative but not intrusive staff. Message to all British cattle farmers... this place is the reason cows have cheeks. Outstanding dish in our selection of 6.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at in Exeter. The food was exceptionally good, especially the hake and chorizo dishes. The service was impeccable — attentive and kind but not overbearing. The atmosphere was really nice. We will definitely be returning.

I’m not sure this place is entirely authentic as it describes in its advertising. Food was average, tiny portions for the price. The restaurant was dead when we were there at 9pm on a Thursday night and it felt like we were being rushed to leave, probably wouldn’t bother returning.

Excellent Spanish Restaurant in the city centre. Superb tasting food and drink, and great staff. Although it was a cold day in November they had guitarists playing outside and a Flamenco dancer! Some of the customers even joined in. Wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely return here again.

The food was delicious, authentic tapas and well-priced for the portion sizes. Service was excellent. Lovely ambience even though it was very quiet (it was early evening Sunday to be fair.) Sangria was great value too! Hope to be back!

Honestly one of the best evenings out in Exeter that I've had in a long time. The atmosphere of La Flamenca is inviting, and the friendly staff ensured that we were well looked after. The food was presented beautifully and was incredibly delicious and flavoursome. The sangria we shared was equally as appetising. The live music with authentic sounds from Latin America really propelled our experience and made us feel like we were on holiday. I would like to say a special thanks to our main servers Ray and Mireia.

We’re trading at the Princesshay Xmas Market and could see lots of people coming in and out of the restaurant so thought we would check it out. The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome/relaxed. The tapas are amazing we both felt like we had been transported to Spain. All dishes were made with obvious love and care. All the dishes we had tasted amazing and really nicely presented. Do yourself a favour and avoid all the chain restaurants. Support an independent by eating their amazing food. We will definitely be eating there again!

Popped in for lunch whilst doing some shopping. Decided to select from lunch menu which represents good value for money. Good selection to pick from. Staff were very friendly and food was excellent good portions and well cooked. Nice to see an independent restaurant in the centre of Exeter of good quality.

Fabulous food- cooked from scratch. Staff were very friendly and efficient. A wide range of dishes and a good selection of wine. We had bread, mushrooms, chorizo, salad and potatus bravas. So reasonable. Will return.

Great service, lovely staff. Amazing cocktails on offer and all the food tasted great. Best dishes we had were the croquette’s, chorizo, iberico ham, cheese parcels, and for dessert the churros and Spanish almond cake was delicious. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back soon

Very authentic Spanish restaurant. The staff are predominately Spanish which added to the authenticity. Food absolutely delicious from the olives and toasted sourdough, through to the octopus, pinchos and genuine Spanish cheesecake. The staff were friendly and attentive, without being 'in your face'. Can't wait to return and highly recommended!
