Had the brunch special sub, really good for grab and go food, was done fast and tasty amazing definitely going back again,

By far the best fresh sandwich around, cheap and fantastic flavours perfect for a lunch while in town. Often go and have a sit in the gardens just up the road.

The chicken tikka sandwich was very tasty. Good little place to stop off for lunch and is reasonably cheap. The only thing I’d say is there isn’t a great deal of salad selection! But it is a tasty option.

Absolutely brilliant food. Excellent friendly service. Well worth a visit.

No vegan sandwich options at all, really disappointing.

I have just had a egg sandwich the preparation looks ok, but the lady who served me was sniffing and touched her nose, she start preparing my sandwich without washing her hand or putting a glove on, seems a bit unpleasant and unhealthy.

I had the falafel wrap, the falafels are not freshly fried. The guy who is making the sandwiches doesn’t wear gloves

Went here for the first time the other day - good selection of fresh bread and a decent amount of filling. So much better than a supermarket sandwich! Will definitely be coming back.

Used to come here all the time but just went with a big group and ordered sandwiches, rolls and salads and I'm sorry to say it was all super tasteless :(

microwaved the bread and tesco's meal deal is cheaper and more tasety than this.

It's unfortunate I couldn't give zero stars! Probably the worst breakfast roll I have ever had this microwave meal including the bread almost turned me vegan !!

Seems to have gone down hill from these older reviews. This is one of my first negative reviews on here as im not usually taken aback but these staff were just plane rude, not even a long queue to be rushing through but they didnt seem t care one bit about my customer experience. Will sadly not be going back as I've been waiting to go here for atleast a year now.

The Sandwich Bar is a good place to go for requesting one of your own (well, obviously) sandwiches. Ask whatever fillings you want (and also which bread) - as long as they are in stock - and they will make it for you. You can also check the menu on the board on the wall close to the ceiling. As with sandwiches, or crisps, or even chocolate wafers, you can also buy yourself a drink with your lunch/ snack. Do keep an eye on the time, however, as they might close before four o'clock.

The names a bit misleading as it's not a traditional Sandwich bar with freshly baked loafs and French baguettes. It's an Italian sandwich bar. They don't really do traditional sliced bread sandwiches, if you ask for them you'll get shop bought Warburton bread which can be a bit dry... Pasta bowls and Italian roll sandwiches are good and reasonably priced

Very expensive and not as good as Subway. Just walk a few hundred metres and have a Subway instead - cheaper and tastier.

Never been disappointed with anything bought from this place. The coffees are good, all sandwiches are made fresh in front of you and there are loads of different choices. Good quality ingredients too.

Started working nearby and colleagues introduced me to an almightily amazing bacon+eggs sub. Cappuccino too is very good - up to Italian standards. On top of the great, reasonably priced food and beverages, staff are uber friendly and welcoming.

Mi primera visita, metimos en ya que estaba pasando. Compró el grano multi 6 pulgadas con pollo, ensalada y mayonesa, estaba delicioso, un montón de frescos sabrosos abundante, el pollo estaba suculentos y había un montón de cosas! También tenía un paquete de patatas fritas Burts ( sabía mejor que otras marcas handcooked) y una bebida todo por 4 libras. He tenido ofertas de comida de otras conocidas tiendas, pero nada se compara! ! Servicio amable y encantador todo recién hechas en frente de usted, sin duda volveremos xx

I used to work nearby and would come here most lunchtimes, they are very accommodating if you need to get back to work quickly and the staff are lovely!! They do herbal tea too which is nice.

Visited a couple of times with the bf. The crayfish baguette is divine and couldn't be more packed with filling. The steak and philly baguette is, according to the bf, the best he's ever had. A ringing endorsement from both of us. The ingredients are all good quality, fresh and plentiful. The staff are friendly and professional and the shop is very clean. In conclusion, yes it is the best sandwich shop in Exeter.

Tan pronto como esto abrió mi novio y yo estuvimos aquí para conseguir algunos las tres de la tarde a las 10 de la noche.El menú tiene una gran variedad de opciones frías y calientes, y el personal es muy acogedor.Realmente te sientes como si los ingredientes son muy fresco, y el metro, tienes nada en este lugar.Los precios de sandwich son normales, probablemente a la par con una cadena como Pret está, pero saber que estás ayudando a nuestro una empresa local y que está lleno de buenos ingredientes.

My husband and I decided to try The Sandwich Shop the other day since it is around the corner from our flat. We were pleasantly surprised by the helpful and friendly staff. The storefront was clean, the prices were reasonable, and we were in and out quickly. The sandwiches we good, but nothing too spectacular. If you are looking for a quick bite and you are close this is a lovely place to stop.

First time yesterday and very pleased. Salmon bacon lettuce and tomato in bread which had been griddled. Quick and perfect. Just right at lunchtime. Best sandwich I've had in ages. Food value too.

This is a great independent sandwich shop, the food is all fresh and prepared upon order, friendly staff and lots of great choice, I went for the crayfish and it was delicious!!!Great location would highly recommend especially if you have a journey ahead as is just next to the coach station Well done guys will be back!

We visited this shop about a week ago, having heard good recommendations from one of the locals. Sandwiches/baguettes are freshly made with a great choice of fillings and using locally made bread. I chose the roasted veg & goat's cheese and my husband chose chicken & salad - both were very tasty, substantial and good value for money. The staff are friendly and chatty and clearly enjoy their work! Would definitely recommend.

These guys are on top of there game. Not only in providing the community with top quality products but also with thier great service and attitude.

The food here has been consistently great since May. I've managed to eat 95% of the menu now and I don't remember a dodgy sandwich. New options come up semi-regularly. The loyalty card scheme is well worth getting involved with, especially with interest rates as they are. The guy making the sandwiches has the concentration of a professional sportsman and more or less the flair of a cocktail maker and the girl has a great manner for dealing with the public. Unsurprisingly the place is getting busy now.

Fresh, tasty, local food. A good range of savoury fillings which go beyond your typical sandwich bar options. Could do with more choices of soft drink, but this is a minor niggle. This fills a gap in the lunch time market, I hope they last a long time!

Highly recommended, excellent range of sandwiches, reasonably priced and great tasting food. Great to see an independent place doing so well. Bonus for those who are coeliac or wheat/gluten intolerant is that they do stock gluten-free bread. Nice central location too, easy to find

This is a new place in town (Paris St) where you can find good and tasty sandwiches with fresh salads, very close from the main bus station (<50 mts), low prices and excellent service given by the owners themselves, they are a lovely young couple with the great talent of cooking and serving people. I got one sandwich and after testing it, I got one more to go, that is how good they are, if you are around Paris st in Exeter I would highly recommend you to stop by and experience the flavour and service at the Sandwich Shop. Would recommend a visit. Good selection of sandwiches, prices realistic and served by a nice young couple who told me they had not be open long. Will buy from them in future.Nice touch is the Paris prints sine the shop is located in Paris Street.

Fresh and local produce and some fantastic flavours and suggestions for sarnies. Their courgette fritter and tomato salsa is my current favourite, and I'm going to be working through their suggestions board for my work lunches. The prices are good, so you definitely don't feel like you're breaking the bank, yet the ingredient make you feel like you spoilt yourself. Very friendly owners too, so a nice place to visit. I'm recommending it to pretty much anyone I speak to in exeter at the moment!

Lovely range of sandwiches made with fresh local produce. Can recommend Pulley Pork with apple and fennel slaw and the beautiful homemade slices of cake...mmmm. One of our favourite places for lunch when visiting Exeter.

Since opening I have been here a few times for lunch and it is without doubt the best sandwich I've ever had. I highly recommend the Teriyaki beef with spring onion and chilli, also the pulled pork with apple and fennel slaw is amazing. Always brilliant service and clean inside ! If your in town and fancy a treat you must try this place!!

I've been here about 5 times over the past three weeks and each time it has been great. They do quite a large range of sandwiches, but I've not been that daring yet. The one I have had the most often is the roasted peppers and goats cheese and it's a decent sandwich.Optional salad in the baguettes is free and includes not only lettuce, tomato and cucumber but also red onion and peppers too.I like the fact you can have have a half baguette as often a whole one is unnecessarily large for me and therefore not worth it. I am fussy and hate butter and on the occasion that the guy had already half made a baguette for me with butter in it, he had no problem starting again without using it,.The staff are both nice and the shop itself is clean and pleasant. This is definitely worth a visit.
