The guys are very friendly. Told me they were the best chips in town. Was all cooked fresh on order. The mini fish was amazing. Batter was perfect and the fish filled it from top to bottom! Very rare these days. Have to also agree. Best chips in town. Would highly recommend 👍.

Was driving past and saw how clean the shop was first impressions then I thought to try out the chips before I would try anything else and all I have to say is the chips were excellent quality had a nice crisp on outer and soft and fluffy from inner my rating would be 10/10 overall and will be visiting again soon!

Cooked to order, nice and fresh. The best cod you will ever taste can highly recommend, A bit pricey but well worth it. Lovely polite staff. Opens at 16:00 hrs, which is very handy. All food is in boxes not paper.

I was asked if I wanted some food from Lucky 13 tonight so I said yes. I opted for just a large kebab meat with a side salad. Nothing else. I wished I had something else, as the portion of kebab meat was horrendous! It came in a curry tray, and wasn’t even full. I seen the curry tray and thought “nah that can’t be mine” I opened it and it was like trying to find a £1 down the back of the sofa. This portion was £4.75 because apparently it’s half price Fridays (that’s what I’ve been told) I would have most certainly taken the food back and demanded a refund if this was double that price. The meat itself was very thick cut, like my distant aunty hacked away at it with a walking stick, and when chewing it, it was quite gritty. I felt like I dropped a snack on the beach and ate it afterwards. This place is just as bad as flakes, there actually isn’t a decent chippy around the area and if it continues with the poor quality , standard of food and extortionate prices, then there won’t be any at all in this area. Will never come back for food. Advice to all, save your money and travel a little distance to a better chip shop because this place will leave you disappointed.

Great food but the portions are just far too big. Id probably go more often because the kebabs are fantastic but I'm put off ordering because I end up paying a decent price for food I simply have to throw away.

Has people working there don’t pay them, over priced small portions and don’t know how to treat he’s staff that’s why he hasn’t got any. By far worse chippy I ever worked in with 20 years experience 1 person serving on Friday busy day of the week all about money no care for customers and staff that’s why I left keep my wages as u clearly need it more than me 20 mins people waiting for food as no staff absolutely **** show in there no idea how to run business all about how much money he can make AVOID Goodluck to anyone that wants to work there defrauding government to not pay taxes got everyone working off books!

I can say that it was the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. They delivered it in a short time. It was really clean and also very delicious. Definitely a place everyone should try.

This place is a gem. The mixed grill kebab was fantastic, fresh and full of flavor. The staff provided excellent service, the prices are very affordable, making the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend checking it out if you're nearby!

Consistently good quality freshly cooked food. Great chips and the salmon (order the day before) is excellent. Nice to have a decent chippy in the area.

I ordered and then waited in my car, listening to the radio. Very cheery serving staff brought out the food to me. When I got home I had the most enjoyable lamb ribs ever. Seasoned well then over charcoal cooked to perfection.

Fish and chips were absolutely lovely succulent white fish with a slice of lemon and tartare sauce! Chips also ace not greasy crisp and yummy! Well done everyone so glad we have a good chippy nearby at last!

Disappointed by the new menu - no mini meals so portions are too big for one person meaning a lot of wasted food and money. Might try their grilled meat one day but won’t be back for fish and chips in a hurry 🥴

Portion sizes aren't great for the money, brought a large chips and was barely enough for 2 adults an a child, they were nice though. The kebab meat was dry and not fresh. The saveloy was very questionable, it was luke warm for a start and grey/brown on the inside, safe to say that went in the bin. Won't be returning, will travel to petes pan instead!

Vastly improved since taken over from flakes. Gorgeous large cod, freshly cooked to order, served with a little slice of lemon and a large free portion of tartar sauce. Lovely crispy chips that aren't greasy and lovely curry sauce. Best fish and chips we have eaten in a long time.

OMG this is the best chip shop I have eaten from in years . Halloumi kebab well I can’t even describe the taste the salad the sauce all home made delicious. The chips still crispy when you get home as in box no plastic bags here , so no sweating . Ok fish this is cod flakey not a substitute for cod real cos . Again OMG delicious. . Home made Tata sauce.again gorgeous . Mushy peas curry sauce all home made . I can not recommend this chip shop enough. It’s back to the old day Greek chip shop . Can not wait to taste the rest of their menu. Now the owner what a gentleman and polite and so friendly . Thank god we have this chippy on our door step . Can not recommend this place enough . Best take away by far . Superb food.

This used to be flakes and was always a joy. Worth an extra detour and special trip.. Fish is now premium price, but sub par. Flakes used to have excellent fish and prepare it themselves. Lucky 13 is bought in fish pieces ready cut and full of water, skin on and tasteless. I won’t be returning. Flakes in Moseley looks like it is still there.

Parked okay. Food was pretty unpleasant and very pricey. Chips hard & what I can only describe as small bits of bone in donner. Chicken meat was just OK. Garlic mayo was about the best bit of the meal. Like to support new businesses but sadly not somewhere we would frequent again. Hopefully we just had an off day!? Service from lady on the counter was good.

Disgusting over priced chewy Donner meat, hard chips. And the owner needs a lesson in customer service. Shouting at staff in-front of customers… disgusting!! Don’t waste your time or money, Seaver’s at the maypole is much better and worth the extra 2 minute drive.

New owners me and my son went in there today 31st of Jan.. I ordered a chicken shish and son ordered fish and chips... food was excellent very tasty I will 100% be returning yum yum

Ok so my last review of this place was Flakes... And that was a bad review. So the change names and I think new owners and therefore better. Nope wrong food was bad like the kind of place you see open at 3am for drunk club goes who don't care about quality or flavour. I will definitely not be going back and instead will drive to another chippy (I live a min walk away) bit would rather drive for 15mins to go elsewhere. Save yourself the time and experience of chucking it in the bin go elce where.

Chips were a bit soggy and the packing is the not the best. The paper stuck to the fish and chips.

Overpriced kebab dry wasn't impressed by the reheating on the hot plate. the staff are great only good thing going for this place

I've used every chippy in my area and further but there fish 🐟 is incredible. I bet nobody has a plate where the fish won't be overhanging both sides. A little expensive but aren't they all now. 👍👍

Pretty standard fish and chips, but really expensive

Wouldn't use again! For a medium portion of chips it's smaller than a cone. My fish was that dry it was chewy, each ends of the batter was rock hard. Potion sizes are tiny not what you get at your standard fish and chip shop.

Terrible food, terrible service.

I went here and their service was very slow not to mention I also asked for large fish and chips and paid for large and when I got home it was a small. The fish was small dry and overcooked with a handful of chips. I made a complaint but dreadful in dealing. It was a very bad experience, won't go here again!

Ordered a medium mixed meat & chips , small curry sauce . Terrible . The chicken meat was dry hard & burned , the kebab meat was the same , I gave it to the dog… £7:10 for that rubbish …

Tiny Portions, big prices. Seem to care more about the interior decorating. And the menus are too small to read

The food and the staff are lovely, Most food is cooked to order so is nice and fresh unlike others that have it sitting there for God knows how long. I Don't mind paying a bit more on a treat night to get quality food and service. You get what you pay for and they certainly do not disappoint

Ordered large kebab for £6.99 and when I got it it felt very light so I opened it to look. What I saw was half a pitta bread with a bit of meat on top with sauce on top of that. No salad no pitta bread on top. When I took it back and showed the girl she didn’t seem to think there was anything wrong with it. She did apologise then another member of staff asked her why she was apologising. When I challenge her she said the other girl was talking to someone else. Requested a refund. Felt like I was in a kindergarten with no supervisor. Shame as I’ve been there a few times previously and had not experienced anything like I did today. I won’t experience it again as I will not be going there again.

We had fish and chips for a family meal it was really good quality and nicely cooked fresh chips. The young lady who served us was lovely too.

We travel from Acocks Green as we love everything we’ve eaten from Flakes and it’s always worth it , the kebabs and the fish , chips and mushy peas are the best , hot , well cooked , great portion sizes and just delicious . The service is great too . All in all excellent 10/10

Shame I can’t share a pic. Scallop was wafer thin, seen thicker crisps. Batter was tasteless, waste of money. And the fish was none existent in large chunk off batter I had with some chips. Been here twice now and both times been disappointed, hard to find a decent chippy 😢

Chips and fish were awful dry, hard and tasteless went in the bin I'm afraid even my kids and friend wouldn't eat it maybe it was just a bad batch but ours weren't nice

Just had a large fish and chips. It was discussing, the fish must have been fried houres ago, and the chips where luke warm. Will not go there again.

We recieved excellent service, the food is incredible and amazing portion sizes. They are the only Gluten free Chip shop around Birmingham, unfortunately we were unable to drive to the location and with us being so far away deliveroo couldn't deliver. The staff went above and beyond to deliver and provide us with excelled food and service. Couldn't recommend them enough. Wouldn't get Fish and chips anywhere else.
