Tasty food, helpful staff, pleasant surroundings

Lovely food and service. Lovely lunch.

Went to order a quick takeout and was served by Daria and her team. Food was nice. Daria was so welcoming and very personable, looked after us very well! Also thankyou to Olivia and staff with lovely piercings (sorry didn't get her name!) for being kind

Guys were excellent, I have severe citrus allergy and the kitchen staff made me a lasagne from scratch to make sure all allergens were eliminated. Respect and thanks to the team.

The food is a 10 and there is a boy who speaks Spanish, everything is perfect

Such an Italian vibe well were to visit you won’t be unhappy with food service or hygiene. Indoor and outdoor seating which is excellent right in the middle of new street in Birmingham can just watch everybody walk by or sit inside for more romantic vibe.

I went to dinner with my teammates in this restaurant. It’s located on the Main Street. The service was good, and the food was tasty. I had butterfly king prawns, king prawn & crayfish frilly tagliatelle, and a drink. The atmosphere could have been better, but overall it was a good experience.

Visited on a Sunday Evening. The restaurant was not busy. Got really good service. The food was excellent, very tasty and well presented.

Garlic bread is tasty and not overpowering like many others. Optional caramelised onions really add a lot for just £1 extra. Honestly... Compared to homemade pasta you really can't beat real Italian tomato based dishes. It's not the best and I'll argue that £16 for it is a steep ask... But it was ok.

We went there at 9pm Today.’ But they said we cannot accept any customers.’ Thats really disgusting and disappointed because they are closing at 10pm but they are refusing customers from 9pm.’ Im not recommended to anyone to go there.’ Really poor service.

Went with 2 friends after the theatre. Had sea bass which was really tasty along with the baby potatoes. Lovely tasty but could have done with a bit more on the plate. Had mini trio of puddings which were also lovely. The table unfortunately was a bit sticky and when we wiped it with an anti bac wipe the grime was evident to see.

This was the second time me and my wife have been in a month once for our anniversary and for my wife's birthday. We were greeted by the lady who served us first time which was really nice. The food was outstanding as well as the service we received on our second visit Emily K was our waitress she was fantastic. Ask Italia new street birmingham is fantastic it's our go to restaurant when we go to Birmingham , give it a try you won't be disappointed. Andy & Niki

Genuinely brilliant. Our server Grace was great. Friendly and understanding of our disabilities as a group. We where accepted and served with speed and the food was great.

Came here for late lunch. Ordered at the table and had linguine carbonara and pizza e pancetta. Both were delicious and service was good, food came quicker than we'd expected.

Great place. The French manager is very friendly and welcoming. Very good dishes. We ate pasta.

Didn’t even get to a table… Was very loud as they had some big table in so I asked for a quite table, the couldn’t do this as it was “too far away for them to serve as there were only 3 on duty “…….amazing. Went somewhere else.

Absolutely amazing, authentic Italian cuisine, best grande lasagna I have had outside the Mediterranean. Our servers, Matt & Dharia were fantastic. We went for our 24th Wedding Anniversary and I have to say that we are so glad we did. They surprised us with 2 Proseccos at our table and a beautifully presented complimentary desert. Ask Italia is a gem in the culinary crown of Birmingham city centre. We highly recommend this restaurant, very reasonably priced and gorgeous menu. Grande Lasagna Caprese salad Rosemary & Olive bread...DELIZIOSA! Thanks for making our anniversary extra special 💕

Our server Daria was amazing, took great care of our party of 5 and was very attentive, considering the fact they were clearly understaffed. Would recommend just for the service :)

Great place, Welcomed by a friendly guy who i think was in charge at the time we got there, we both had folded garlic bread for starters, it was very tasty followed by a delicious pizza and we finished with a small dessert and coffee excellent. All the staff are friendly and helpful.We will definitely be back, and recommend a visit 👌

Had lunch with my friend. Fairly quiet in there. Good service but not overly pushy with it being so quiet. Food was good.

I am gluten free and made a booking to go to ASK Italian. The service was so fast, I got my food and drinks in the first 15 minutes of being seated and the staff were so helpful and nice. I got the gluten free bolognese and my partner got the Ginochi. Both dishes were so tasty and clearly marked with a gluten free sticker. I thought the bolognese was a bit spicy but other than that it was delicious. Definitely recommend and there were plenty more gluten free options on the menu

These pizzas are absolutely awful These pizzas are absolutely awful. Ordered 2 and it cost 36 quid, not worth the money . Pizzas were small dry and tasted stale and also arrived freezing cold , straight in the bin after a few bites and feel ripped off. We ate here last night using the buy one main get one free. We both ordered the King Prawn pizza which arrived cold, the waitress asked us if we wanted it warming up or a fresh one, something we didn't expect and never been asked before! Of course we opted for two fresh pizzas and once they arrived they were very good. We will visit Ask Italian again but only if we want a quick dinner.

We are just over for a weekend, but this is the second time we've been here (first time with the kids, this time just my husband and i) again the service and food were fabulous. Will definitely be back if back in Birmingham

We visited here on 24/05/24 for the first time and wow, abaolutely incredible. I have never seen a restauarant soooo clean! The staff were amazing and the food was immense 😛 Staff had to help us with our buyagift voucher and was sorted in minutes. Huge thank you to the amazing team and sublime chefs 👍

starters were good when they eventually arrived after 40 minutes. This was mid afternoon as well so not busy. Told them to cancel mains as we had sat for another 40 mins.

Had a great time at Ask Italian Birmingham. Booked in for a birthday, service was amazing, the staff were super friendly and attentive; always asking if we needed anything and made adjustments to our order when needed. Grace, our waiter did a great job and the food came out so quickly.

The food is great and staff very pleasant, Iove Ask Italian but why does the service slow down as you finish your main and order desert. By the time you get desert, and after 15 mins I always have to chase it, the simplest of all parts of the meal, you may as well get it yourself. Both times this year I had to chase up my desert, and no one is very bothered. Trying to pay is like a Berni Inn, no one wants to collect your payment, you have to chase someone.

Visited on a Friday night and walked straight in without a booking at 6pm. Restaurant was spacious and airy. Chose the Calzone which was big and very tasty, wife had a good sized Lasagne which again was lovely. First visit and would go again.

I’ve had some nice meals here but today was not a good experience. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. The presentation of such a simple dish was awful. The chicken was off I think and tasted awful with a gristly texture. The rest of it was smothered in really salty sauce. It was inedible and I just hope it doesn’t make me Ill. Staff apologised but weren’t really too interested in making it right. I didn’t bother order anything else as my meal with my mum was already ruined

Bit of a mix to be completely honest. We waited well over an hour for our starters and then another 20 minutes for mains after that. Overall we were there for over 2 hours. The food was good, can’t really complain about that. Daria was an absolute angel the entire night and nothing was too much to ask of her. Her service was incredible and she’s a true credit to the business. Drinks came quickly and were very nice. Honestly it’s just a real shame that our order apparently got forgotten, especially as we had ordered on the website using the QR code.

A rammed Saturday evening meant the place had a real buzz about it. Quite loud, frenetic and great fun. We were seated so we could see the kitchen activity and they macked it! Mid range price wise so reckon on £30+ a head, this is a city centre restaurant so to be expected. Food great, fresh, great quality and no complaints about the portion sizes. Would recommend the trio of deserts; a selection of three puds for a fraction over what you’d pay for one. Great night, thanks.

Visited this place for lunch on a busy Saturday. The service was amazing, the food was delicious, and we didn't need to book a table in advance. I would definitely recommend a visit to this place if you like Italian food.

Nothing was to much trouble and my intolerance to certain foods was dealt with swiftly and questions answered also made me feel at easy about my intolerance.

Wonderful food especially the tiramisu. Really friendly staff and Matthieu was great and made for a great experience
