Recommended by a friend. My wife has told me that the food was mediocre based on her previous visit, but I decided to try anyway. Went with wife and friends. The food was okay in general but pricey. With the price, I will not recommend it. The seafood risotto was like eating sand and pieces of shell. The pasta dishes were okay at best.

Best halal italian restaurant in Birmingham by far

The food was exquisite and delicious. For starters we ordered a pizza dough which was thinly sliced and one half was covered with a pesto base whereas the other was covered with a tomatoe base with chili's. This I would recommend as it was covered with olive oil. The seafood pasta was adequate however the chicken and mushroom pasta was delicious saucy and creamy. The only thing I would ask is to add a little more flavour on the chicken. Finished of with an amazing pizza which looked absolutely delicious.

Went here with my wife. One of the best lasagnas I have had. Perfect texture, packed full of flavour, piping hot, lots of parm. Has a very unique chic decor, great service. They are 100% Halal.

Joke of a restaurant seated for 20 minutes and no one bothers to come and take the order or even greet you. If single patrons are so unwelcome maybe tell me to the door straight & not waste my time. They need to learn some customer service . Talking amongst themselves instead of actually serving the guest. If you're busy at least tell the guest you'll return in a minute or something. Hopeless! and also found out they entice ppl to leave them fake reviews stay away

This was such a mixed experience. I went around 6, already there was a queue that formed which was fine, myself and my friend weren’t in a rush and actually seeing a queue forming made us excited because a queue for a restaurant must mean there’s good food. We were then seated and noticed how busy the place was and it was really cramped but again, if you’ve been to these types of Italian places it wouldn’t put you off. However, once we made our order it took them an hour to give us our food, with a waiter shouting at another about our wait time when he realised everyone else who came after us got their food and not us. Again, mistakes happen so it’s fine but we duly noted this and instead went out for dessert rather than staying in as we didn’t want to wait another hour for food. The food, which I got the mixed seafood pasta was amazing honestly the best pasta I’ve ever had and I’ve had plenty. It was quite expensive at £20 but was well worth it. However, the loud atmosphere was too much for us, alongside the wait time and then we also got the wrong bill as he thought we had a starter rather than two drinks, I don’t think we will come back. If you’re planning on visiting, just make sure you take into account how loud the restaurant is and mentally prep for a long wait time and you’ll be fine, because the food genuinely was nice.

for someone who was born and raised in Italy and ate in Italy and know the flavors I think that was just a remake of Italian food I failed to find the authentic flavors of Italian food

They served us fast and got us seated quickly the food was savory and the atmosphere was delightful the food also is a good portion u recemend the pasta or pizza great fast in music.

Great food but bad service. We came here for a special occasion. There was a big group of us. From start to finish, the staff were passive aggressive, blunt and abrupt along with banging plates and glasses on the table. When asking for water they brought 3 glasses out with 1 jug. They got frustrated when asking for our order because after being seated for 10minutes and waiting for the rest of the group to arrive, we still weren’t ready. Myself and others were brushed when plates were being slammed on the table. Two of our group were deaf and no consideration towards them, more frustration if anything because of them asking the waiter to repeat stuff. At the end, they then asked why we wanted to remove the service charge!! A shame because the food was amazing but the service was shocking!!! Enough to put you off going there to be honest. Wouldn’t recommend.

Superb. I ordered the monkfish which tasted excellent.

Been eating at this place for years and the food never disappoints. We had sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce, salad with roast veggies, seafood pasta and tiramisu.

Overall ok but expected more. The place was loud and the servers had to squeeze between the tables and seemed pretty rushed. The portion sizes were surprisingly big and tasted alright; no complaints about the food quality but something was definitely missing and we've had much better at other places. I recommend the lobster ravioli though. Not too expensive either. They DON'T serve alcohol but they allow you to bring your own bottle to drink there and they provide the glasses which is nice.

Best Italians in Brum! The food was delicious, the service was great and all the food is halal. I will definitely be visiting again soon! The exact Italians I have been trying to find since moving to Brum town 5 years ago.

Ordered a pizza 15 99 looked like an Iceland pizza for 1 75 it was tasteless when we complained the owner said if you don’t wanna pay your bill get out now avoid this place

Somewhat disappointed tbh, genuinely the most bland pizza I've ever had, was noticeably undercooked and with so little flavour, couldn't quite believe it! Nice restaurant, clearly very popular, so ai trust I was unlucky somehow (but it's pizza, in an Italian...) atmosphere was okay, noticed they have no speakers for background music though, but strange! Staff very good though!

What a lovely resultant situated in Moseley. Amazing food with generous portion sizes & service great. Definitely will be returning 👌🏻 Bring your own alcohol as soft drinks can be purchased along with hot drinks.

The food was lovely but it was far too noisy. Couldn't hear yourself think and you were constantly shouting at your table guest to hear anything. Too many tables crammed in such a short space. I think they were trying to maximise the takings. The waiting staff were no good. Didn't ask if you wanted a drink or if you wanted to have a bottle opener to open your own drinks,which we inadvertently forgot to bring. We waited over 50 minutes for our main course which they didn't bring everything. We left after our main course and didn't stay for dessert. Definitely will not be going again. Only positive was the food was good

We had a special birthday to celebrate last evening, and the team accommodated us to ensure we were well looked after, in-which they executed amazingly. The staff made us feel at ease, service was impeccable and the food was absolutely divine. Thank you guys?!

Always enjoy going here. Food was fantastic as always, service was a little on this occasion. There were busy so it was difficult to get attention of the waiting staff.

The food here was amazing, the staff were generally very friendly and the atmosphere was nice and bustling (it did make the service a bit slow but think that's to be expected when it's that busy). The issue is that our night was unfortunately spoiled by an incident with one of the waiters. When he found out that I was there with my girlfriend, he 'jokingly' asked which of us was the man and who was the woman. This made us feel very uncomfortable and was incredibly insulting- please remind your staff that this kind of language is homophobic and really not ok to say.

Food was good. Staff need training in how to talk to people without being rude. If I were only going on food I would be going back however service is a big part of the restaurant experience and with rude owner/manager I would rather take my custom elce where.

Attended here last night for an iftari meal with a few friends. Such a lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly and great service. Food was cooked to perfection and i would highly recommend this place as couldn’t fault the food. Fully halal menu too. Lovely little place in the heart of Moseley.

Came here last night for a friend’s birthday. It was a group of us although booked a few weeks ago, we couldn’t get a table till 9:30pm. We had a great time and the food was spot on! I had the Penne Salmone which I really enjoyed. The salmon was cooked perfectly as was the penne pasta. Good portion too. My friends enjoyed their food too. Staff were friendly and although it was a busy night we didn’t have to wait too long for our food. All in all a great night! Will definitely be returning here.

We recently visited this restaurant on a Friday night in early March. We have been before but it was a couple of years ago. The food is excellent, I had mussels (the best I have ever had) followed by pasta with meat balls. The service was good, the staff made in welcome and were attentive, easily recommend- a great experience.

Amazing service and fantastic food

Used to love dining here and recommended to a few friends. However this time round the service was so bad. It wasn't even during a busy time but we were just ignored by all the waiters. Had to ask 3 times for someone to take our order and when they did, the waiter had to call another lady to take our drinks order. We ordered from the standard menu and couldn't believe it was that hard to order something we order all the time. Eventually when the food came out, it was good but had a bit of a wait between our starters and mains. We needed water on the table but again it was very hard to get anyone's attention. There were waiters walking around but we were ignored. Finally got a water bottle and 1 glass for 3 people. Love that. I used to love this place but clearly their service has dropped. Would not recommend.

Have been here a few times. First time was great and couldnt fault it! However the last 3 times, service has progressively got worse. Kept going as I told myself theyre just having a bad day. But unfortunately this time, we booked a table, then were asked to move. We obliged, but then watched 2 waiters fight over serving the table next to us. Whilst we asked 3 passing waiters to take ours. Finally, our orders were taken by a waiter who then called another waiter to take it again as he was confused by the order, (we didnt customise anything). Food came out in good time, however once again had to ask more than 1 waiter for the bill. Quality of food has deteriorated too, would actually not recommend anything. Such a shame as I really thought I had found a good quality halal food place.

Went as a walk in . Given a table and ordered our food My food was fine but my partners lasagne was cold. Returned to kitchen and returned after been microwaved to within an inch of its life. Food ok. But didn’t feel very welcoming. Glad to leave to be honest Will not be returning

This place is by the far most exceptional Italian food restaurant ever. From the decor, the amazing service, staff are full of life and humorous. The food was beautifully fresh, and tasted so amazing. We opted to have all our food come together - a vegetarian pizza, chicken tagitelle and salmon salad with some fries. For drink we had a lemon drink and a j20. The salmon was absolutely divine and the salad and dressing complimented it so well. The tagliatelle was creamy and the chicken was no skimped on. The fresh ingredients on the pizza made it taste so moreish and the fries were crunchy yet soft in the centre. The presentation of the food was exceptional too which is a bonus for me also. Food didn't take that long to come. We got there early evening and it started getting very busy as we sat eating our food. The staff were so jolly just made the experience so much more better. They made everyone laugh- also nothing was too much trouble for them. The aesthetic is beautiful- love the ambience- nice place for an occasion or get together- free parking close by too.

Chose Ponte Di Legno for my 60TH birthday celebration with family based on reviews. Was definitely not disappointed. Staff were fabulous, friendly and attentive. Restaurant large enough to take large parties but you need to book in advance for weekends. We went Sunday 6pm and it was packed but still a very comfortable atmosphere. Food was excellent, both starters and mains portions were a good size and served hot. Be prepared to pay anything from £20-£35 for a main course but definitely worth it for whatever you order. Even my son was very impressed ( he loves Italian food ) and he's difficult to please. Take your own alcohol but they do sell soft drinks. Definitely on my go to list of restaurants for a celebration or just a nice night out with friends.

Food was super delicious! I loved my prawn linguine it was very tasty and fresh. Cooked perfectly! Lasagne was wholesome, but quite expensive seeing as it tasted fairly average.

Top quality Italian restaurant, would definitely. Great place to visit. I had a steak and have got to say the steak was delicious. Very high quality cut and cooked perfectly(medium). I would recommend it if you want a proper steak in Birmingham.

Food was delicious but customer service was not it. Felt ignored and like we were a bother. Took around 50 mins for our food to arrive. Staff are rude and dismissive and kept arguing between themselves infront of the guests. We really wanted to like this place because the food was delicious but we couldn't look past the terrible behaviour of the staff.

Food was decent, however service was really poor. Waited ages each time for waiters to come round to us for anything. Very awkward at one point where it appeared like the owner/ manager was shouting very loudly at his staff in the kitchen.. uncomfortable to watch! Table behind us was complaining to staff about being overcharged! Seems this has happened before from other reviews.

Food is always brilliant. Atmosphere is great every one is happy and smiling. The service is outstanding, I mentioned I have allergies and the wait staff and manager all triple check with me what I can have and checked all ingredients and let me know whether I could try my partners food or not. Always a great place to come.

Our second visit at this lovely Italian restaurant. Service is great, friendly staff. Its a 'bring your own bottle' restaurant and helpfully there's an off licence just over the road. The chicken and spinach calzone is delicious, as is the lasagne. Super food, great atmosphere and a wonderful evening.

Was looking forward to this but unfortunately staff and service very slow and rude. People came after us and were served first!! When we went to query where our bread was the waiter put his hand up dismissing our question and concern. Sad and disappointing really.

Good authentic Italian food! Was in the area and had a quick google for restaurant recommendations and found this, it did not disappoint! We ordered the Spaghetti Primavera and the Garlic and Mushroom Tagliatelle, both were tasty. Also ordered a margherita pizza and some bruschetta, pizza was goood and the bruschetta was one of the nicest I’ve had. The service was great and the manager was friendly. We were told the meats were halal but we chose vegetarian options. In terms of parking, Moseley village car park is about a 7-10min walk.

I've only ever been to Ponte once, which was many years back and so me and the husband decided to visit for his birthday meal. Can't believe I waited sooo long to go back! Food was delicious! It's sooo nice to be able to eat authentic Italian food which is all halal. We were spoilt for choice! But we went for the melanzane alla parmiagiana, lobster ravioli and goats cheese for starters. All delicious! And for mains we both had the filleto Diane, again so yummy! My husband eats alot of steak, and he said it was one of the best steaks he ever had. For dessert I went profiteroles and the husband had the choc fudge cake. Everything was soo good and we're already planning our next visit so we can try more dishes on the menu.

My favourite Italian place. As always I ordered the mango, avocado and salmon starter which was so refreshing and tasty, amazing flavours. We also got the garlic bread with tomato which was perfect! Finally, as usual my lasagne was amazing. So much more I want to try here. We ordered the apple pie, with ice cream and extra strawberries. Apples too sweet for me but still pretty good. Wish they had the pear tart on the menu still.

I absolutely love this restaurant and it is my favourite italian restaurant in the whole of Birmingham. The staff are super friendly and everything I have tried on the menu is always perfectly cooked and delicious! From the pastas my favourites are the prawn dishes but all are amazing for anything you fancy. The pizzas and calzones are also fantastic and the steaks are a little pricey but also perfect! For starters I always get the bruschetta and garlic bread which are my favourites and highly recommended! Be sure to visit this place if in the area. Also all the meat is halal here so muslim friendly too!

Visited with my mom the week before Christmas. It was quite busy but not so loud that you couldn't have a chat. The food was absolutely amazing! The steak was cooked to perfection! Have recommended to others and would definitely come back!

The worst experience in history, the 2 waiters wearing glasses are extremely rude there behaviour is despicable constantly taking the mick out of customers and mocking disabled people. With vile language and actions and then laughing. They will stand there staring at you and ignoring you making you call them repeatedly and then being told not to call them. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the waiters at this restaurant the worst I've ever come across in any restaurant. They give u the wrong food and don't have a clue of what they are doing nor what customer services is just there to take your money on which be aware they charge you for items u have not even had. Management seriously need to address the 2 waiters wearing glasses they are vile arrogant rude and they need to learn manners. Stay away from this restaurant they enjoy mocking disabled people.

Just lovely, a reliable friendly welcome, good food and ability to serve gluten free options without any fuss. A regular place for celebration meals for our family.

Food is halal here. Negatives: Staff members are cringe. 2 coffees were also added to my bill which I hadn’t ordered. However, the food was good. Ordered the tagliatelle which had mushrooms in a creamy tomato sauce. It had parsley garnished on top which really enhanced the taste. Also ordered the piccante pizza. Highly recommended for people who like spicy food. Contains green chilis which are quite hot. The pizza had a nice mild garlic aftertaste which I really liked.

Best authentic Halal Italian food in brum

We love this restaurant. On our latest visit we ordered scallops and bruschetta starter. Then tagliatelle ponte di legno and the mixed fish. It was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection.We cannot wait to return.

Great tasting Italian food in Birmingham. The garlic bread was a great starter and the lasagna tasted really good. Washed it down with a well flavoured mocktail. Service could have been better, we had the younger waiter who wasn't really observant and was quite brash he'd drop the plates/cutlery really heavily on the table making lots of noise and even spilled some water on the table whilst doing it. Just a small complaint as everyone was friendly. Atmosphere is nice and simple however the lighting is abit dark. Ordered tiramisu for dessert which rounded off a perfect meal 👍

Came here for dinner, I booked a table in advance. The service was great, but I felt the waiters were always at 110%. Ordered starters, mains (Lobster Ravioli & Salmon pasta) and desserts (Tiramisu & Crème brulee). All were spot on, well timed, good portions and tasted wonderfully. Parking is onstreet parking, so the later the booking, the harder it will be to find a spot. Atmosphere was great, music was not too loud and seating was comfortable.

We came to this restaurant as a group of 4 a few days ago. As soon as we came in we decided we weren’t hungry enough to have a main each, so rather than waste food we decided to have a mix of a few sides and a couple mains to share, with drinks. We were told we had to order more, which I’ve never been told before and we all were made to feel very uncomfortable. The experience afterwards was also unsatisfactory, with the waiters smirking while coming to our table and making sarcastic remarks. We will never come here again.

Authentic Italian, the food was amazing! Can’t thank the staff enough for seating me and my friend without a booking, would highly recommend to book in advance as it gets extremely busy! The lamb shank was so tender, meat fell off the bone and my friend enjoyed her pasta dish!

First time visiting Ponte Di Legno with a group of my friends and it was incredible! I ordered the lobster pasta for starters and the seafood platter for a main, and wow! Chocolate fudge cake is also 10/10! Service was amazing and you can bring your own alcohol due to no license which makes the bill a lot cheaper. Can’t wait to return!

I got recommended this restaurant few years ago and in my opinion Ponte Di Legno is one of the best Italian restaurants. The food as always is great, it has a cosy vibe and the staff are amazing. The food never disappoints and I always recommend this place to all my family and friends. Book in advance as it can get busy, even on a random weekday!

We’ve been going to this restaurant for many years and it’s one of the best halal Italian food. The food is amazing, the vibes are immaculate and it’s so cosy. The waiters and staff and friendly and welcoming. The food never disappoints and I always recommend this place to all my family and friends. Book in advance as it can get busy.
