Absolutely Beautiful Ma Sha Allah

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my experience at this Italian restaurant I tried recently. 🍝🍕 I ordered their sandwich, and let me tell you, it was a flavour explosion! The bun was long and filled to the brim with delicious ingredients. 😋 The taste was absolutely mouthwatering! The only thing I would suggest is enjoying it during lunch or brunch time for the full experience. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend this place for some tasty Italian eats. Buon appetito! 🇮🇹🍽️

I’ve ordered the pasta here several times. The pasta is always tasty and soft. The flavours I like best is the plain tomato sauce. The one pictured is the chicken which is okay. I’ve tried the spaghetti with mince meat which tastes a little plain. On Uber eats I got a buy one get one free deal!

Visited with a friend today and left feeling very happy with the quality of food and the level of customer service. Will definitely be visiting again soon inshallah!

I don’t know what to say, but the food not tasty at all to type of pasta without any test and the calzone was with curry spices. Also, the food with indian flavour not italian at all!!! I lettraly didn’t eat my food. Even I tried to add some cheese and salt it didn’t work🥲🥲.

If you're looking for authentic Italian food this is the place! (Don't come if you are not keen on trying real Italian food and love typical pizza places which taste like cardboard.) A lovely place to take your family. Nice and clean with a calm atmosphere. We ordered a margherita pizza and fries and my children really enjoyed it, as did I. The baklava was super soft and moist, really delicious. Made fresh in front of us and the children enjoyed watching the chef cook. Both the chef and his colleague were very polite and friendly especially the chef who was very friendly with the children. Toilet was clean too which is an added bonus and had extra sinks outside the toilet area. We will definitely come back and try different dishes. Who knew you could find an authentic Italian place in the middle of Coventry Road!

The food is bland, no matter which pasta you get. No salt no flavour nothing. Highly Disappointed , don’t know why you’ve got 4 stars rating overall. Not your authentic live up to real Italian’s name

I ordered 1 pizza. 1 Oreo milkshake and 1 strawberry smoothie. The delivery driver came to the door with no pizza but did come with the milkshake and smoothie I ordered. I then called up the restaurant to see why and he had the audacity to tell me to come up to the shop to collect it. I told him I can’t come to collect it. I then asked for a refund for the pizza and hung up. Unless your looking to be messed about over a pizza then would definitely not recommend.

Excellent service as always. Have ordered online on Uber eats many times now. Unbeatable value on most. I always grab the pizza deal from here as it's so reliable. Stone baked base, no oil whatsoever. 12" in size, about 8 slices. Have tried the Bolognese pasta too, it's nice if you want something quick and comforting. Decent portion sizes. Mocktails are delicious, tried both the blue and red can't decide which is nicer.

The lasagna tastes like it’s them quorn mince or something. Definitely doesn’t taste fresh. The mince meat doesn’t taste real meat mince. Also the pastas are far too saucy. Doesn’t taste Italian, thought it would be Italian as the name of restaurant is Italian and food being served is Italian.

Very nice fresh food, can’t be beaten piping hot would definitely recommend. Especially if you want pasta.

Avoid avoid avoid.. ordered a “fresh lasagne” on uber eats. It was about as fresh as my nans ashes. The creamy tomato sauce it came in was split so threw that away. Tasted the lasagne, hardly any meat.. there was about 8 layers of overcooked mushy pasta sheets clumped together with no flavour at all. Cold in the middle which indicates that it was microwaved. Honestly I feel sick after this, please avoid at all costs. This food is about as italian as a volkswagen

When they first opened it was fantastic and the food was great. Now the staff are awfully miserable and rude. It's as if you are not welcome there! Won't ever return again.

Do not buy the pizza it was the dries base ever. I asked for stuff crust and extra cheese. These guys put on hardly any cheese. Worst pizza ever. Had a vege pasta nd beef strips pasta. Which was nice. Had to go home to put on some salt and pepper as was lacking. Place is clean and tidy. Staff is good but not coming back after that pizza.

Where to start… so there’s a short man with slick back hair with severe short man syndrome. Don’t know if he’s Somali or Yemeni. Always has An attitude about him. Made me some wraps without gloves on, and had just seen the guy shaking his mates hands outside without washing them when he came in 🤢 then proceeds to make my order. Then has the audacity to complain when I ask him to put some gloves on. Avoid at all cost

The Pasta Tagliatelle with Salmon harmoniously combined tender ribbons of pasta with succulent salmon, creating a balanced and indulgent masterpiece. Equally captivating, the Pasta Penne Vegetarian, asked chef to add some Olives for me, celebrated simplicity, intertwining perfectly cooked penne pasta with the briny allure of olives. The warm ambiance and attentive staff added to the enchanting experience. This place also makes the best cappuccino coffee in town. They are work of art. I like my coffee strong so they added an extra espresso shot. Mio Amico stands as a treasure trove of gastronomy. Confession, after the meal having our coffee we were testing ChatGPT AI and asked it to write a review based on our experience and some of the text was generated by ChatGPT as it absolutely summed up our experience.

The food was ok. It wasnt the best I've ever eaten (meat was a little tough and lentil soup was a little too tangy for my liking). Portion size and cost, however were reasonable and service was splendid.

The atmosphere is relaxing with a nice ambience. From the minute we walked in we were treated with utmost respect which continue for duration of our visit. Food was proper cooked, hot and tasty. We tried mio Amico hot plate, beef hot plate, chicken hot plate chicken and beef sandwiches. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend everyone to try this place and appreciate their kindness.

Made an order on uber eats for 2 pastas and 2 raspberry smoothies for me and my partner only to receive the two pastas and no smoothies. Instead, they gave us a refund which wasn’t even the full amount of how much the smoothies were and a SINGLE bottle of oasis. What a rip off!!! Avoid at all costs!!!!

Came to the store today that claims is open from 12, arrived half 12 waited 10 mins to be served with my family, just to be told they have no food ready and to come back after to, the chef and waiter saw us waiting to order and carried on just walking about rather then telling us they have no food, have been here before and enjoyed the food however service is not there.

Food was really plain watery pasta no flavour and the stone baked pizza was awful they need a new chef.

Food was amazing, authentic, fresh and halal. Price was reasonable and service was excellent. May need more seating options as it can be busy at times. Pizza was cooked to perfection, hot and flavourful.

I have been to this establishment many times, and have tried virtually everything on the menu. Each item does not disappoint. From the pasta dishes, the lasagna, the pizzas, the prawn starters to name but a few. Even the mojitos, especially the mango, are so refreshing. Cannot fault the food. The portions are also very generous, there will be leftovers to enjoy later on. I have eaten in a lot of Italian restaurants including authentic family run businesses and this is by far the best. Bonus is everything is halal too. Plus vegetarian and vegan diets catered for. An absolute must visit.

I visit this place on a very regular basis. The customer service from Hashim and Usman are absolutely brilliant, they’re welcoming and take good care of customers. The food is always fresh and it’s a family orientated place. The drinks are made with love and care, as is the food. Many thanks Hashim and Usman for greeting with a smile each and every time.

The food was good, the customer service was the worst ever, the young guy at the till very rude, gave the wrong order, asked for a menu just said no menu, had to ask for a simple request 5 times, the Somalian guy was brillant, but the guy at the till needs alot of customer service lessons, we are regulars there, and thinking of not going back again, they gonna lose customer's if this kind of customer service, the customer's are getting, the guy at the till really needs to change his attitude

This is a restaurant on Coventry Road; it offers burgers and pasta. Reasonable prices. The service is a bit slow. The staff are friendly. Recommended? Umm. Give it a try.

Been here a few times so it's time for review. I am giving it a 3.5 The service was good , and the food was nice. Pizza was good and the the pastas dishes were also good. Some maybe a little too saucy. Price is a little high so that could be better. I gave it a 3.5 because the few times I had chicken pasta dishes the chicken was abit rubbery. Also the chicken pieces were not all breast and a mixture of cuts. For chicken dishes and for me i need breast or prime cuts of chicken. If this was the case I would go to 3.8 I will say it is one to try.

Well i must say the food was amazing. This is my first time at this place, i asked for a recommendation from the staff and he suggested a chicken dish with pasta. Taste is nice not too spicy and cooked to perfection. Would recommend to all. 5 stars all arround. The place is clean and tidy with a nice atmosphere.

This place was absolutely horrendous. I am in utter disbelief that I paid £75 for the worst food I have ever had. The fries were very undercooked, so was the pizza and the pasta was bland and tasted like school dinners/airplane food. Don't waste your money on this place absolutely vile food 🤮🤮🤮 NEVER AGAIN. Wouldn't even feed food like this to my dog.

Was craving some authentic Italian pizza so decided to give this place a go and was left quite disappointed. This is just a stone baked pizza with Arabian taste in my opinion. The tomato base was surprisingly quite bland tasting and overall there was no wow factor to the pizza in terms of taste.

Wow what a place, the most authentic Italian food I have had in Birmingham. Delicious and everything so fresh. Real handmade pasta and pizza. On top of that it's halal and the service was excellent. They don't rush you, make you feel welcome and even cook the food exactly to how you like it. Will be definitely coming back again. Pricing is excellent for such quality food and great service. They have got it all perfect, I will definitely be back soon

Great experience and time eating out at this restaurant with great customer service and little to no time waiting around for the food to prepare, very comfortable and warm atmosphere with kind staff, the place was immaculate and clean, the food was delicious served hot and fresh. The drinks are also great a decent complement to decent food, priced more reasonably then other restaurants in the locality, will definitely be coming back to this restaurant in the near future. Both drinks and desserts are also available at this venue.

So far the best spaghetti bolognese i ate in birmingham plus the Pizza and calzone are at the top notch over all good and clean halal italian food 👍 the staff was very very friendly.

Truly amazing n delicious food . We tried no 6 pasta with beef strips, mac n cheese with chicken and beef strips calzone. All dishes were amazing n total was £23 with drinks for 4 people. Potions are so big 2 people can share 1. Value for money n delicious. Excellent customer service and very clean. Highly recommend. 3rd visit here on 08 dec 22 under new management and pleased to say food got even better. Calzone was out of this world

Good food for fair price. We ordered americana pizza, tagliatelle al pollo chicken and lime mint juice. The pizza had a nice crisp but the toppings were a bit salty. The pasta sauce was not to my taste, there was a curry flavor on the chicken. Loved the juice. Friendly staff.

today i am very not happy i saw staff eating with the same spoon using it in the cheese and putting it in the plate unhygenic. Young boy. Also today i am dissapointed the food doesnt taste nice. Managers need to come back watch the workers

My Order: Deliveroo, 20/06/2022. - Penne Polo Chicken Pasta - Mio Amico Mix Smoothie - Cheesecake So, I've never been able to eat pasta due to its texture, but had such a craving for Mio Amico after passing their restaurant and also on the delivery apps, so thought "Why not?" and that's the best choice I ever made! The pasta was incredible, the texture of the pasta, with the sauce, tender chicken and bread was wonderful. Every bite was full of such fantastic flavour and this really was something else! Showing that Mio Amico must really know what they're doing because they've brought love to my heart for a pasta dish in life, finally! The Smoothie was a lovely pallete cleanser, super refreshing and tasty too, great for a sunny day like today. And last but no least, Cheesecake! Yum! Ever so lovely, great piece of it too. Really can't beat such a delicious piece of dessert. Thank you all at Mio Amico, can't wait to eat (from) here again in future. Update: 13/07/2022 I am wildly dissapointed and disgusted. I ordered again in good hopes, but I've just wasted money. Milkshake arrived with no straw, nor the appropriate cutlery for food. I ordered the Penne Arrabbiata Pasta with add on of Pollo Chicken - I found just a few pieces of chicken uncomfortably under-done but all others were white or just dark, an issue. I ordered a Cheesecake with my meal, but arrived an Oreo Cake.... I really hope they haven't been serving this to people because it is literally infront of me now as I type, it's rock solid, I thought it could've refrigerated as I took a spoonful💀 but then i went to eat it and it's rotten, stale, not even a bite in to it chewable, pressed with finger tips and it's like a press on something till it busts underneath 😭 that great deal put me off completely, no thanks.

The food is way to expensive for the amount you get it over rated and well well over priced the pizza are not pizza but thin layer of flour and for £8.50 I could of got better deal at rapidos or big pizza 🍕 I don't no why people are giving 5-4 star because no way and I honestly giving my non biased opinion

loved the food, very homely. Good freshly made inc the pasta (that's homemade also). Taste was amazing so I decided to go back there the next day. My two daughters were complaining that their cakes was hard, difficult to eat I have tried the cake and it's not soft, it was hard Tea was served with sugar,with no tea spoon, I had to ask for spoon, usually most restaurants serve tea without sugar so you can add your own level of sugar Based on that I don't recommend this restaurant

Just stopped by for a hot drink on a cold evening, but it was lovely. Great service, nice clean place, nice ambiance.

We ordered off deliveroo from here. Hands down best pasta we've ever eaten. The pescatore tagliatelle was amazing and the manzo beef too. We are definitely ordering regularly from here and will visit soon when the kids start behaving! Highly recommend these guys!
