Lovely relaxed cafe experience on a Sunday morning. The barista was friendly and helpful. The croissant was good too. It’s a pity the sandwiches were sold out but perhaps they had a busy weekend.

Mucho mejor ambiente que un Starbucks o una Costa. No hay que esperar por el tapón del asiento o el papel y, aunque no soy experto en café, mi Americano era perfecto.

That’s it really; we have a hour and a bit to lose before going to a concert at St Lukes and happened on this corner cafe, kind of update on our hippy Sixties hang outs. Nice things to eat, very very good coffee, friendly staff, wooden tables and school chairs, cushy old leather sofas - haven’t tried the loos yet but fingers crossed.

Stopped in for a coffee as it’s a place I’d seen but hadn’t been to yet. Ordered a coconut flat white and was slightly shocked at the £3.35 price tag. What shocked me even more was when I paid with loads of change - I was barked at for being 5p short. As it turned out I had no more change, so I said so. Most places would just wave it off, especially as I had my own recyclable take away cup. But this guy started to huff and loudly remove all the change from the till and proceeded to slap it on the counter. I had a £5 I then handed over which he ripped out of my hand. Wish I could say the coffee made up for it - but it didn’t. I won’t be back

I have gone to Fix for coffee and few times (I live nearby) and the staff are generally very pleasant. Today I went and experienced possibly the most rudest and unprofessional person I have ever met. As well as being ignored while I waited for her to take my order (she turned her face way to listen to her colleagues story) she then slammed something off the counter (no idea what it was) which sprayed up into the air. She seemed genuinely annoyed that I was interrupting her fun. She laughed and then half apologized. Another customer then came and she just laughed into his face while he was thinking about his order. There was no please, no thank you, no manners or level of professionalism. I’m so disappointed. I enjoy the coffee here but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.

the coffee is great but the service is somewhat distant. the food very simple. The spot, just on the whitecross street, is great. And you can get your lunch at the market stalls and start or finish with a good coffee

Stumbled upon this cafe having turned the wrong way out of Chiswell Street. I wonder if it's now my favourite (beating even Francini Cafe de Colombia in Worcester). Great coffee, chilled vibe and an electic playlist I'm trying to track down. Hopefully I'll stumble there again (and I live on the Island..)

After trying a few of the coffee shops in the area, Fix serves up some of the best espresso around. Filled with comfy sofas, tables, and plenty of plugs for working or hanging out. Unfortunately the wifi is pretty slow and only limited to 1 hour free before you have to pay for more time. This is pretty cheap of the management in may opinion and a practice you don't often see anymore. Instead of keeping a customer in for more drinks over a good few hours working period, you've driven me away to your competition.

Good coffee for the area and cheaper than large coffee chains nearby. They also do a decent selection of baked goods that change fairly regularly, including some gluten free options and cronuts.

Out I went, for a thoroughly intense knees-up with Janto, Chunger and Big Mervyn. After drowning our sorrows with Big Merv’s inheritance from his deid Mam, and ingesting some lighter fluid avec workerman’s glue, we headed to The Joker for a knees up. First in, Chunger got in the pints which were all exceedingly tasty and helped wash down the acrid tang of glue at the back of my throat. It was only after Janto repeatedly and brazenly kept impersonating a couple on a date next to us, by doing the young man’s lovely, soft posh accent that things really got funny. ‘WHAT IS SO FUNNY?’ He boomed. ‘Please let’s just leave, these men are savages and I think they’re on something, they’re out of their heads!’ said his date. We laughed some more and Merv said, too right, we’re out of our heads on good times, and also a heavy dose of my deid Ma’s dosh. ‘You sick freaks’ intoned the gent. ‘You think you’re so funny!’ It was then that Chunger stood up and roared with the strength of a hurricane into his own pint glass - ‘I AM TRYING TO HAVE A LAUGH. MY FATHER WAS NOT VERY NICE TO ME’ We fell about the floor laughing and ordering more pints which flowed as fast as the beautiful currents of the Arno. Things became decidedly ugly when I took a gulp of the young gent’s gravy which was on his plate, but Big Mervyn settled accounts by leaning on the man’s shoulder and whispering a few sweet nothings. Overall, I had a cracking night and the craic was 90 as we Ho Ho Ho’d all the way home with the young couple’s umbrella which they very kindly gave to us, as well as £50, which was very generous.
