If you like takeaways fiveways is the place to go! You could go every day if the week and have something different but there is no compromise on quality. I love their chicken and rice bowls for a'aloghtly more healthy option. The staff are amazing too always serving with a smile. I use sticks to walk and they even bring it out to the car for me. Fantastic food fantastic service. The prices are really good as well 👌

Everyone at Fiveways needs a medal, I go in week after week and watch how good they do their job as it’s a very busy shop with a huge variety of food available. I can’t fault how well they all work together, they are efficient, pleasant and best of all the food is delicious.

How can , a jacket potato chilli and a bit of cheese be £7 It was lukewarm and just thrown in the tray It used to be a nice place for dinner and reasonably priced

Brilliant food. Popped in here as i came from oldham today. Lovely woman at the counter. Serving with great customer service and a bright smile. Food was amazing. Piping hot and fresh. Really enjoyed it!

Friendly staff, always willing to cook from fresh. Their cod is big and chunky - never left disappointed like I have been from other places (especially the coast).

Found worm in fish scallop. Enough said, neither me nor my family could eat anything after this discovery.

This place is always spotless, well done to the Management who I believe have been in this business for over 30 years, all the employees are efficient, very professional and polite you don’t see a lot of that now days.

I used to use this chip shop a lot over the last twenty years and it was always good food and not bad value for money,over the last few years the kebab meat has steadily gone down hill until now it is total garbage with no taste and an awful texture,it is not just fiveways it is every Chipshop in the area,I thought I would give it another try this weekend but this only confirmed it for me,I eat my chips and threw the so called meat away, I would rather pay £10 and get a proper nice kebab like it used to be 25 years ago than £6-odd and throw it away

Lunch time visit to fiveways. Very tasty Fish and chips and homemade burgers! The quality of the food is very high, and the price quite low in general. We were pleased with both the food and the service, we would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Visited on Thursday evening and had the best fish and chips ever, they were cooked perfectly so fresh and piping hot. Everybody raves about this place, so I thought I’d try it for the first time, I don’t live local and it didn’t disappoint. Immaculate, spotless, clean and friendly staff. I’ll definitely be returning.

The food portions were not very good. Always used this chip shop as my local. Will have to look elsewhere now normally a good chip shop not so much now

I had been raving about this place since visiting after the make over it has and the quality of the food and service and had been going regular but not anymore Out of principle ... I don't like salad or sauce so always ask for a spot of gravy on instead which has never been an issue.. and having previously had my own fish and chips shop I know the profit margin on graft is far more than salad so it's actually cheaper for them to put gravy on than using their salad and sauce so for them to say no we need to charge an extra £1.20 is just pure greed it's not the amount I'm not tight it's the principle when I know it works out cheaper for them to put gravy on why not keep your customers happy especialy when there is so much competition these days So I will no longer be recommending them to anyone

The fish and chips were absolutely delicious. All the staff were really friendly and offered a quick service. Probably one of the best ones in the area !!! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

We use this place for staff lunches every week. Consistantly good quality, great lunchtime deals, happy smiling staff behind the counter who have been there for years that tells you something !! Great teamwork, very fast and efficient!

Absolutelyhooked!!It’s been my third visit this week can’t fault the place had something different every time, but I must say the batter on the fish is so light you can’t get enough. As for social distancing they are the best, I’ve never been anywhere yet so careful to protect the customers, sanitising their hands after each customer and constantly making sure customers stand back wearing face masks. Went into five ways chippy as it is now my local chippy, it was 9 30pm so last few chips and fish, but my god the taste was horrific. I’ve been coming here for years but lately I’ve been finding the food to not be a fresh as it should be, I don’t know if they’re not changing their oil often enough or they’re re frying some of their fish cakes, possibly not using the freshest ingredients. Hard chewy batter and really old oily fish smell, fresh fish shouldn’t smell this bad

Appalling service in fact no customer service.went on there was no other customers in.stood at counter waiting to be served 2 members of staff chatting at back.made eye contact so knew I was there.carried on talking not work related so I'm still stood waiting one of them decided to come to counter got to the counter and she turned around and went back to other staff member and carried on chatting .I thought omg.so walked out.if they couldn't be bothered then I couldnt.they just lost shop around 30 pounds in a order.3 staff behind that counter and just me in unbelievable.4pm 9/1/20.

We have visited this fish and chip shop for years. It is the best in Rotherham. The food is never greasy and the fish is always white. Great deals including the kids meals and small fish special. Visited on Friday and received the same great food and service. Faultless.

Great service from cheerful staff, excellent portions you cannot fault this place (no pun!) Gets busy at tea time and parking can be a problem. Great food!

One of tastiest fish I’ve had in a long time...... not cheap but worth what they charge. Only downside was several of the ships were overcooked (maybe remains of lunchtime trade as we went about 16:00)

Called for my usual mixed kebab. It's a very big one( house special) Chicken and dinner meat were excellent. Chips good perfectly. All in all great value for money and very very filling I can heartedly recommend the place

Absolute terrible service. Must have been wrong time of the month for the staff. Received the wrong order and the staff weren't too pleasant about it. We ordered what we ordered, don't take it out on us for giving us the wrong order. Disgraceful behaviour, if I wanted a chip butty with attitude - I could have made one at home!

Been eating from here for years and can’t remember ever being disappointed with what we’ve had. Portions are generous, prices reasonable and the fish & chips are always freshly cooked due to the large amount of custom.

Always my favourite chippy when I lived in Rotherham. I was just passing through and thought I would pop in to see if it as good as it used to be, and I am happy to say that it is. Excellent food and perfectly charming service. The lovely lady pointed me to the most appropriate item on the menu, and then even wrapped it with skill that is rarely seen these days. I will pass through more often!

We have used this chip shop for many years after we moved to Rotherham nearly 20 years ago. Consistently high standard - simply the best!

If you want the best fish and chips it's well worth the trip out. Great fun sitting in the car with traditional fish and chips. Way better than all the famous chippy's.

We have fish and chips almost every week from here. Quality never varies. Always fist class. But, being older people with not huge appetites we always share a small chips. Who eats the regular portions?

Go here quite regular, always nice food and friendly staff, it does get quite busy thought so is always a bit of a queue but it does go down quickly

Tired and hungry, couldn't be bothered with a pub lunch, so popped into the fish and chip shop. So glad I did as they serve the freshest tastiest fish and chips you can buy.I noticed a fading picture frame, its full of photos of famous people from Sir Paul McCartney to Ronnie Barker and so many more, most with great messages, it was worth the visit to see the photos, you have to look for it, its one side of the fridge.If I am passing I will call again, rather than have a pub lunch, free parking, cash message next door, they do take cards.This is a take a way, nowhere to sit, I sat in the car and watched the World go by.

I use this fish bar regularly. I order the huge cod as I enter the shop and they are ready just a few minutes later.Staff are courteous and efficient, food is good and portions huge.Not the cheapest, but definitely the best.There is a cash machine at the bank next door and parking outside although it does get crowded. You can now pay by card too.

Had these many times before never diasappointed. Best local fish and chips around. We always share chips and a large cod as its enough to satisfy us with a side Order of mushy peas each. Batter is lovely crispy and light not stodgy or greasy and the chips were freshly cooked. There is no after taste like you can get with some fish shops. Staff always pleasant and friendly and do their best to speed the service up at busy times.

Went in a week last Friday to get some tea. The previous time I'd been in and had a chip butty with a fish scallop - my usual - and the portion was terrible. I thought it to be a one off but went in and ordered the same plus other things for my partner. Upon making the chip butty, the ladyt serving opened up the bread cake and put a measly spachelor's worth inside the bread cake. I then asked if I could have some more please and was told "we're only allowed to do one spoonful." That's fair enough, if it's a policy decision by management but I won't be taking my custom back again. Which is a shame because they do good chips but for the sake of a decent potrtion on a chip butty, they've lost custom.

We have always gone to this fish and chip shop for years. Great choice, food always tasty and not too expensive. Consistent with lovely fish, unlike any other chip shop we have been too. We will always come here and recommend it to anyone.

This is a really busy chippy so expect to queue at peak time. This means that food is almost always fresh cooked which is just how I like it.Portions are on the larger side which means that they are certainly filling.Kidz particularly like the kebabs as do me and the wife.An excellent chippy that is well worth giving a go.

The large cod is like being served a whale !There is a wide range of choices - donor kebab, chicken kebab, pies, baked potatoes, sausage, chicken, drinks ........The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge ! We often phone our order through so it is freshly cooked and if I'm in need, there's a cash machine in the bank next door !Free parking outside makes it an easy visit. Now open 7 days with times that vary for summer and winter.

I asked for something however having not been to this fish shop in a while I asked for something that wasn't on the menu. She was very rude to me saying that I was confusing her and she spoke down to me. Also I witnessed a man being spoken down too.

Rotherham has some really amazing chippys, some of the best in the country.Five ways until recently had been my favourite.Massive menu range, all reasonably priced and all freshly made.It doesn't try to be anything its not, just a good old chip shop.It's impressive to see the staff get your order together, they are very efficient and work like a production line.The only downside, which is out of their control, is because they are so popular the small shared carpark is always full.

Is still the best Chippy in Rotherham. You can also pre-order a Double Cheeseburger which tastes better and is cheaper than the takeaway next door.

The food here isn't up to much but the fish shop is local so if we are hungry, it fills a hole.My last visit will be just that. My last.I was short changed and when I complained I was informed that the till was up and there was nothing that could be done. But the fact that the till didn't balance shows the sheer incompetence of the staff.The sausage and chips that I had for lunch that day cost more than a pub meal for 2 would have cost and truthfully it tasted like we were eating warmed up cardboard.Going forward I will alway go a little further to Davians on middle lane
