Stay away dream up prices. £1.80 for a spoon full of curry over chips.

The hot and sour soup is a good consistency but not spicy in the slightest hich is a shame, favour is mediocre and the taste is a little too vinegary. Considering this is my favorite go to it disappointed. 1/5 Egg fried rice taste good, but isn't very fluffy and a bit stodgy presumably it's been microwaved. 2/5. Spicy Singapore noodles are tasty and the best part of the meal. 4/5 Salt and pepper beef not overly crispy and an average flavor. 3/5 The premises itself look very dated and give the impression of dirt, not that I could see any from the small waiting area you can't see the kitchen and the door is constantly kept shut so no view of the kitchen to see your food being prepared. Massively in need of refurb/coat of paint, ripped and repaired bench seats and old stained walls and paint work. Overall I wouldn't spend my hard earned mo ey here again! FYI - There is parking but very limited and usually taken up by one of the other many businesses in the proximity.

Big portions and decent food, Go up the road to the other Chinese it's very good but you come away hungry

Great for tasty fish and chips and steak puddings and cheese pies and peas. Go there regularly. Good sized portions.

Thought I’d give this place a second chance after a poor takeout years ago. Ordered a simple fried rice dish with curry and prawn crackers. The rice dish was very salty and mushy and the prawn crackers were stale and greasy (even my boys wouldn’t eat them and they normally fight over prawn crackers). Never again.

Picked up a takeaway tonight as it's just round the corner from me. Nice people working there but the food is really poor. Fried rice all stuck together and claggy, crispy beef chewy with barely any sauce, weird salt and pepper chips. I always prefer to shop local however there are much better options that deliver from Chorley/Horwich. Avoid .

This might be the worse Chinese I've ever had. Our order was wrong with missing items and what we did receive was awful. Fried rice just didn't taste right, probably been sat in the kitchen all night and then reheated. I definitely won't be going back

Just ordered special fried rice curry sauce salt & pepper chicken wings The Absolute Worst Food I have ever had straight in the bin everything reheated meat burnt or raw honestly can’t put into words how bad it is Please go elsewhere I know I will never be going back again

Had salt & pepper chips with chicken curry. The s&p chips were nothing like any I've had before. They were just chips refried with some red powder. No garlic or chillies just this bland red powder. The chicken curry was boring, the curry sauce was brown and not fruity. Didn't taste home made, likely out of a packet. Very disappointed, won't be rushing back

Absolutely Shocking food, straight in the bin. For the love of god, go elsewhere.

Called in on the hop ( usually use just eat ) ordered salt & pepper ribs wow they were to die for !!!!! Deep fried chicken in ok sauce was lovely and I’m told chicken curry was amazing. Portion sizes are plentiful we ordered a fried rice with each meal when one was definitely enough. I’m glad I didn’t see previous reviews before I went or I would not have order. Will most definitely return

Incredibly disappointing. The black bean sauce was lumpy and appeared premade and the chow mein I had what looked like the jelly from cat food holding the noodles together. Unacceptable food and I would not recommend.

Good & tasty Chinese food & even fish & chip are super yummy :) the Chinese lady very polite & friendly :) all food are big portion:) value for money :) Every time are Happy meal. LOVE IT!!!

Order from Five Star regularly and we’ve never been disappointed. Good quality food, never have to wait long and good portions and prices. Love the crispy chicken in sweet chilli sauce.

Good English meals as well as superb chinese, chicken chow mein best ever

We had been told that Five Star had improved and so gave it a try last night but the food was disgustingly greasy and tasted like it was cooked in old and dirty oil. We ate what we could but threw most away as it made us both feel off and we are still much the same today. On checking the official ratings afterwards, it turns out that its hygiene rating has again dropped to one star as of last month’s latest inspection. They should change their name to One Star and then be shut down. Awful. We will never go here again and can’t understand any of the positive reviews at all. Worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had. If TripAdvisor allowed a zero rating, I’d give it that.

Chicken chow mien and king prawn chop suey were absolutely fantastic Friday 4th October. Regular takeaways from Five Star which is always excellent value for money....

Only giving it one star for the chips but had chicken chow main from here was disgusting,the noddles where burnt not nice at all worse Chinese ever

I live a few minutes from here and the food is amazing. Usually takes ten minutes at most and the portions are amazing for the price , I recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic chinese food and great prices.

First time going here been put off in the past with reviews. very generous portion size and not a single fault with the food. Defanatly going more often.

Really quick service and good food.

The 1 star food hygiene rating in the window is enough to ward you away. The place is never packed and the food is not nice. Prices are low but the true uncleanliness is descusting. Would not recommend.

Chinese food cooked by Chinese. Can ring an order through and it's ready in 20 minutes or so. I use it regularly!

love this place. they are always super friendly and lovely people and the delivery speed is light lightening. Best sweet and sour crispy chicken going!

They can't get a simple order right and when you go in and tell them the woman on front got aggressive I will not be getting food from here again!!!!!!!!

We have used this takeaway a few times and it seems to have gone down hill each time. It doesn't help that we rarely get a smile! Our last visit was the worst. Food greasy and we always have fried rice but ended up with boiled. I know they are cheap but they still charged us for fried rice. The chips were hard. We won't bother using them again.

have used this takeaway for years, very tasty, generous portions, freshly cooked and always hot when you get home. Unfortunately they don't deliver which would be very handy. Very extensive menu and average prices.
