Oh dear....I really don't understand the hype...firstly no real greeting from the staff and not a huge amount of help while ordering....no explanation about the system to us the newbies.............. onto the food The burger's we had were ok , nothing special, under seasoned and luke warm. Then the fries very very average coldish limp soggy unappetising fries.... There were only 2 other parties in the restaurant so no excuse for cold food The drinks were the best bit salted caramel milk shakes very nice but worth a fiver....nope!!!!! The restaurant itself is bright and cheerful but sooooo noisy but not from people ....from the chairs which are so heavy they scrape the floors every time someone moves them. and the cleaner moved them a lot despite having cleaned them 5 minutes before he went round and cleaned them twice more and he then proceeded to sweep the floor banging the brush against the pan all the way round the restaurant at least twice....so noisy....sadly they had nothing to help mask these noises like music.....was it worth £60 quid....not a chance

Visited on a Wednesday evening at 6pm. Place was nearly empty. 4 tables being used. We sat at one of the cabin style tables which was filthy. The other vacant one was the same so we didn’t move. Immediately struck by the spartan surroundings and EXTREMELY uncomfortable unpadded wooden seats. Still, all could be forgiven if the food was up to recently touted standards (Michelin rated chef says ‘it was the tastiest burger he’d ever eaten’). No table service so went to the counter and was served by a pleasant girl called Emma-Leigh who explained the ordering process. The order number would be ‘shouted out’ when ready. I asked for the table to be cleaned, and she said she would send somebody over. In acceptable time, the order was shouted out but still no table wipe, so I mentioned it again. We waited a further 5 minutes and still sat at a filthy table - so we gave up and took the food home as it was served in a brown bag… even though we were sitting in. Told the lad at the counter why we were leaving and he offered to come over straight away… but we’d had enough by then… especially as the seats were so uncomfortable and even with only four or five families dining, the noise levels were horrendous as the place is like an echo chamber due to lack of soft furnishings. So… £26.15 for 2 cheeseburgers and one portion of fries. Chips (loose in the bottom of the bag) were ok but nothing special. The burgers were quite nice but certainly not Beefy Boys standard. I would go to McDonald’s in preference every time and save 50% in to the bargain. Shame… we had such high hopes.

Great service from the young lady taking the orders. Food was excellent, as we've come to expect from Five Guys.

Excellent burgers and fries, freshly cooked so a bit of a wait but not unacceptable. It is expensive but as an occasional treat its worth it

Great tasting food but very overrated. It was my eldest son's birthday and as my younger son had applied for a job here (was crazily not successful),we were curious to see what was so special. I had phoned a couple of days before to see if we had to book a table. Just walk ins and wouldn't have to wait long for a table I was told. When we walked in at around 5.20pm on a Tuesday during half term loads of empty tables. £85 for four bacon cheeseburgers, two large portions of fries (one- cajun spiced and one normal), 1 bacon cheese dog,3 x free style drinks (unlimited soft drinks) and 2 milkshakes. Positives - food numbered with stickers so you can refer to your slip on your order so you don't mix up sandwiches, tasty food and quick service. Negatives - very expensive for what is in all terms and purposes an expensive McDonalds. The seating is very uncomfortable wooden seats with no cushion pads (OH mentioned that his dodgy hip was playing him up this morning after sitting on the seats), when going to get our unlimited soft drinks many of the choices were unavailable as had run out. Doesn't offer discounts to blue light card holders or special offers for birthdays when signing up to their email service. Have eaten at Planet Hollywood and other more high end eateries and at least you get fries etc included for around the same money and they offer discounts!!! This used to be a Frankie and Benny's and out of the two,the latter got a lot more of my money over the years. It lacked any character other than the red and white decor. Bearing in mind Pizza Hut is across the way which do offer discounts and The Wrekin Giant in the town centre which again does offer discounts, there are lots of other places which offer better value for money especially with the cost of living crisis. May return again in the far and distant future for a milkshake (never heard of adding bacon mix to a milkshake but each to their own,a good one possibly for pregnant ladies with cravings!!) My cheese bacon dog was tiny and even the ones from the Odeon cinema are bigger albeit processed sausage. On a lowly TA's wage it won't happen very often

I’ve waited for over 10 years for Five Guys to come to Shropshire and this branch doesn’t disappoint. Consistently excellent service and food!

Our first visit to a Five Guys restaurant and we were very impressed. The staff were so welcoming, and really helpful when we said that it was our first time. We were served by Ben and he was so friendly and informative, he made us feel at ease straight away. We chose our burgers and toppings and then sat for a couple of minutes with a little carton of complimentary peanuts while our food was cooked. We took our food home to eat and it all exceeded our expectations by miles, the burgers were delicious, juicy, meaty and with just the right amount of the toppings that we had chosen, the fries were flavourful, and plentiful, and we both agreed that there wasnt anything that could have been any better about our meal! We will definitely be visiting again very soon.

Good burgers, everything is cooked to order so there is a bit of a wait. A bit expensive for what it is. The staff were good and the place was very clean

Food was disappointing, order was wrong could be bothered to change it. 35 pounds for a McDonald's for two wouldn't bother....

Honestly the worst place I have ever eaten from. Not only did they forget the 2 portions of pigs and blankets I ordered which were £2.50 each. They put a raw potato on my dinner completely uncooked. Also forgot the sweetcorn off my Sunday dinner. The mash was disgusting with hardened bits in it. I wouldn’t feed my dog this. The dinner went straight in the bin but this is the potatoe they put in.

I will not be going here again. Beef and mushroom was basically mushroom and onion with a tiny bit of beef. Chips and chicken balls were dark brown soaked in grease crunchy and obviously reheated from yesterday ( do you think your customers are mugs?) and the ribs were (what little meat was there) basically inedible tough and obviously 3 years old. All for £30
